FRM-40112 Attempted go_item to non enabled item

Hi,
I get this error and as per the upgrade manual I am supposed to set the parameter "FORMS90_REJECT_GO_ITEM_DISABLED_ITEM to FALSE in the default enc file.
There is no suh parameter either in the default env file or the formsweb.cfg file.
Where exactly am I supposed to set this parameter.
(I did enter a new line in both files and set the value to FALSE but still get the same error).
Also I am trying to run the form on my local machine.
Thanks

Vijay,
this parameter is an environment variable and should be in teh default.env file. If it is not in there, just create it. Otherwise teh default setting is used which - if i remember well - is true

  • Frm-40112 forms 10g go_item to non enabled item error

    Hi
    Is anybody know the solution for this error, on 9i you can set FORMS90_REJECT_GO_DISABLED_ITEM variable environment to FALSE.
    But what is the solution on 10g, because the 9i is not worrking and I am getting the same error again.
    Thanks
    Munir

    FORMS90_REJECT_GO_DISABLED_ITEM in 10g should be FORMS_REJECT_GO_DISABLED_ITEM. In 10g all the numeric's are dropped for the env vars. Try that.

  • FRM-40112 After converting to 10g

    Hi,
    We get a FRM-40112 (Cannot navigate to disabled item) after converting our Forms from 6i to 10g.
    When searching on the forum i found a reference to the variable FORMS90_REJECT_GO_ITEM_DISABLED_ITEM which was supposed to be documented in the Forms Upgrade guide. Unfortunately I cannot find it in the upgrade guide.
    Could anyone of you point me to the documentation on this parameter?

    Wilfred, I saw this on Metalink. Will it help you?

    Subject: FRM-40112 in forms 9i
    Type: PROBLEM
    Status: PUBLISHED
    Content Type: TEXT/PLAIN
    Creation Date: 11-NOV-2002
    Last Revision Date: 15-APR-2004
    Fact(s) ~~~~~~~~ Migrated forms applications from 6i to 9i. Symptom(s) ~~~~~~~~~~ Getting FRM-40112:Attempted go_item to non enabled item error, when trying to run forms 9i applications which are migrated from forms 6i. Cause ~~~~~~~ There is an environment variable called FORMS90_REJECT_GO_DISABLED_ITEM, whose default value is set to TRUE in forms 9i (false in 6i). This means that an error will be issued if a go_item is attempted to a non-enabled item. To revert to the old 6i behaviour set FORMS90_REJECT_GO_DISABLED_ITEM to FALSE.
    Fix ~~~~ Set FORMS90_REJECT_GO_DISABLED_ITEM environment variable to FALSE in forms 9i environment. ( eg in the default.env file)

  • FRM-40112 error with 10g Release 2 Forms

    How do I get around the FRM-40112 error (attempted go-item to non-enabled item) in 10g? I want to present a column but not have the user modify it. This is an update/insert form. I can make it not keyboard navigable but the user can use the mouse to get to it and change it if it is enabled. I want to fix this instead of using the FORMS_REJECT_GO_DISABLED_ITEM environment parameter.
    Thanks,
    Dave

    Yeah, the UPDATE_ALLOWED=FALSE works, but there is one column that is changed programmatically by the form and shown to the user. I need it not ENABLED but UPDATE_ALLOWED = TRUE. I may have to go with FORMS_REJECT_GO_DISABLED_ITEM=FALSE and revisit in the next release. It looks to me like this a catch-22.

  • APPS:FRM 41017 WHEN SETTING ATTRIBUTE TO ENABLE = FALSE

    We use oracle application 11.5.10.2, with oracle DB 11.2.0.3 on MS Windows platform.
    We trying to make a personalization on INVTOMAI form.
    The forms properties are:
    Form version: 11.5.208.115100.61
    The personaliztion is:
    object type: Item
    Target Object: TOMAI_MAIN_HEADER_BLK.DESCRIPTION
    Property Name: Enabled
    Value: FALSE.
    It's the only personalization/custom on this form, but whnever we enter the form we get the following massage:
    FRM-41017 can not set update allowed attrbute of non enabled item TOMAI_MAIN_HEADER_BLK.DESCRIPTION.
    It happens always, even without any attempt to update this item.
    We need to disallow the item of the description to be changed by the user, but it need to be displayed.
    However, we want to change the description in the code behind.
    We recently updated our application's DB to 11G from 10G, and installed some patches on the application. In the 10g this issue didn't occure.
    Can you suggest how can we fix this issue, or do you have any workaround for this problem?

    What is the form path/name/version?
    Please ontain FRD log file as per (11i: Obtaining Forms Runtime Diagnostics (FRD) In Oracle Applications 11i [ID 150168.1]) and see if you get more details about the error.

  • Non DB item in a base table block, gives frm-40202 error.

    Dear All,
    We are using forms6i as a front end. To simulate the error, consider the following example.
    1.Create a multirecord emp block.
    2.Add a non database item in the base table block.
    3.Assign any value to the non database item, in the when new record instance trigger.
    4.When i say F7 or F8, my block asking me like, field must be entered. Which means, my record status changed to Insert. But there is no change in base table record, since i modified only in the non base table item.
    Please validate, whether i am doing anything wrong in my technique.
    Regards,
    Balaji

    If you have a value to be used as the default value then you can use "Initial Value" property in the item level for the Non Database Item. If you do this it wont give you any problem during the query. If you create a new record then the value which you have put as the default will come automatically.

  • Item Category N (non-stock item) in BOM creation - Preq Generation

    Hi All
    I have a material component that is planned in APO and not in ECC6. We would like to keep the one BOM for the finished good. Problem is that when we perform the backflush in ECC6, the system wants to backflush the material and causes errors due to missing stock.
    So I assigned the material as a non stock item in the BOM but the system will auto generate  a purchase requisitions for Non stock bom components (item category N) when the process order is created. It is possible to turn off the auto creation of the purchase req for non stock bom components?
    I have tried the following:
    - Explosion type in item data, created new key with 'Switch off planning' indicator set in system configuration
    - created new 'Z' item category with inventory management de-selected
    Both approaches causes system error: Puchase data of material in not maintained
    I also tried leaving as a stock item with the bulk material indicator selected in the item data. This does not work as the cif will then exclude the component when data is transferred to APO
    Funny enough, the system does not generate a purchase req for non stock bom items when using Repetitive Manufacturing. Any help will be greatly appreciated
    kind regards
    Grant brockelbank

    Hello Vivek
    Thank you for your response
    The item is a non stock item. I do not want this item to be backflushed at all. This can be achieved using the 'N' non stock item category but the problem is that the system will attempt to generate a purchase requisition when the process order is created.
    I do not want the system to generate a purchase req in ECC6 as this item is a planning material that is planned in APO (used for medium to long term planning in a simulation version). We are hoping to use the one Bom for ECC6 and APO planning. The generation of the purchase reqs is a bit of a waste as we will never convert them and there is potential to cause issues for purchasing.
    Any other thoughts?
    Thanks again for your help
    kind regards

  • Open Item to Non Open Item

    Experts,
    I need to change an Open Item Managed Account to Non Open Item Managed account. Coming to balance, yes this account has a balance.
    Could someone let me know what steps do i need to check before changing this and also what are the steps to change this.
    All answers would be duly appreciated and duly rewarded with points.
    Thanks,
    Nandita

    Dear nandita ,
       The SAP System offers the following procedures for accounts with open item management:
    Posting with clearing
    Manual account clearing
       You can use the clearing program to clear open items from customer, vendor, and G/L accounts. This program uses predefined criteria to group together open items per account. If the balance of the group of open items equals zero in local, foreign, and where applicable, the parallel currency, the items are marked as cleared.
        In manula account clearing  procedure, you manually select open items that balance to zero from an account.
    You generally use the payment program to clear invoices. This enables you to use automatic clearing instead of having to clear the items manually. The following are examples of situations where you would carry out clearing manually

  • Stock & Non stock item

    Hi Experts,
    Could you please tell me how to recognised the stock material.
    Like if we consider material type NLAG it is purely non stock item.Like wise which are the material type is consider for stock item.
    How can we identified the stock material.
    AR

    Hi,
    Stock material is kept with value and Qty both.
    while
    Non-valuated material (Material Type UNBW):
    This type of material is managed on a quantity basis, but not on a value basis. This makes sense for materials of low value, stocks of which nevertheless have to be monitored (for example, operating manuals).
    Non-stock material (NLAG) (Material Type NLAG):
    Inventory management is not possible for these materials either on a quantity or value basis. For frequently required consumables, the use of this material type nevertheless enables you to store the information required to create
    purchasing documents (such as texts and units of measure).
    When a material is procured directly for consumption, no material master record is necessary. In connection with consumable materials, you can distinguish between the following cases:
    • Consumable material without material master record
    • Consumable material with material master record that is not subject to
    inventory management (on either a quantity or value basis)
    • Consumable material with material master record that is subject to inventory management on a quantity, but not a value, basis

  • Non-Database items in enter-query mode

    I have a form with 2 base table blocks, typical master details situation. I wish to allow a field from the detail block to be queryable from the master block. I was considering adding a non-database item to the master block (visible only when in Enter-Query mode). In a pre-query trigger I would amend the DEFAULT-WHERE property of the master block when the appropriate where clause using the non-database item value. My prototype/test version works fine except the non-database item is not enabled while the master block is in enter-query mode.
    I think basically forms will enable only field s if they are database items and queryable set to yes. There are no more database items I can use to set the non-database item column name property.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Hi Ralph,
    we have several Forms using non-database items as query-items which works fine.
    What we did is following:
    1) create non-database item xy in master-data-block
    2) set property database item to no
    3) set property query allowed to yes
    4) create a pre-query trigger on master-data-block where we change the where-clause (this is forms6i, in 9i we would use the one-time-where-clause)

  • [NSUserDefaults setObject:forKey:]: Attempt to insert non-property valu

    Hi all
    I have been writting classes at work in Xcode 4.? SL 10.6.8 and every thing has been working fine. When I bring a copy home to work on under Lion in Xcode 4.3.2 I get issues (Lots of them)
    While I have solved or worked around most I am unsure why I am getting an error with my NSUserDefaults.
    I have a method that I run in a singleton
    + (void)setSaveLocation : (NSString *) saveLocation
        NSMutableDictionary * ccLogManagerDictionaryFromUserDefaults = [[NSMutableDictionary alloc] initWithDictionary:[[NSUserDefaults standardUserDefaults] valueForKey:@"CCLogManager"]];
        [ccLogManagerDictionaryFromUserDefaults setObject:saveLocation forKey:@"Save Location"];
        [[NSUserDefaults standardUserDefaults] setObject:ccLogManagerDictionaryFromUserDefaults forKey:@"CCLogManager"];
        [ccLogManagerDictionaryFromUserDefaults release];
        // Post a notification to inform other classes that the savelocation has changed
        NSNotificationCenter *notification = [NSNotificationCenter defaultCenter];
        [notification postNotificationName:@"CCLogManagerNotificationSaveLocation" object:self];
    This worked fine before. The only change I have made is to the method in a different class that send the information :
    - (IBAction)changeSaveLocation: (id)sender
        NSOpenPanel* openDlg = [NSOpenPanel openPanel];
        [openDlg setCanChooseFiles:NO];
        [openDlg setCanChooseDirectories:YES];
        if ( [openDlg runModal] == NSOKButton )
            NSArray* files = [openDlg URLs];
            int i;
            for( i = 0; i < [files count]; i++ )
                NSString* fileName = [files objectAtIndex:i];
                [CCLogManager setSaveLocation:fileName];
    I had to change two lines due to depreciation:
        if ( [openDlg runModalForDirectory:nil file:nil] == NSOKButton )
    and
            NSArray* files = [openDlg filenames];
    What I dont understand is that I am still passing a NSString as required. And if in the first method I simpy insert a @"" string like so
        [ccLogManagerDictionaryFromUserDefaults setObject:
    @"file://localhost/Volumes/MacPro%20RAID/Home%20Folder/Downloads/8-tileable-meta l-textures/"  forKey:@"Save Location"];
    Then it works
    Any assistance would be most appreciated.
    Cheers
    Steve
    Oh and the error is:
    2012-06-14 22:41:31.843 ProControl[3630:403] *** -[NSUserDefaults setObject:forKey:]: Attempt to insert non-property value '{
        "Logging Enabled" = 1;
        "Save Location" = "file://localhost/Volumes/MacPro%20RAID/Home%20Folder/Downloads/8-tileable-meta l-textures/";
    }' of class '__NSCFDictionary'.  Note that dictionaries and arrays in property lists must also contain only property values.
    And it don't save to the User Defaults.

    Hi etresoft, thanks for the reply.
    Do you mean the number 1 pertaining to "Loggining Enabled" = 1?
    If so this should be a   [NSNumber numberWithBool: YES] which is already in the userdefauts.plist. before copying the original dictionary.
    The method save should be copying a dictionary from the .plist and only changing the dictionary entry for "Save Location" which is a NSString. It shouldn't be doing anything to the "Logging Enabled" entry which as I say should already be a NSNumber numberWithBool . Plus seeing as you can change the line
    [ccLogManagerDictionaryFromUserDefaults setObject:saveLocation forKey:@"Save Location"];
    to
    [ccLogManagerDictionaryFromUserDefaults setObject:
    @"file://localhost/Volumes/MacPro%20RAID/Home%20Folder/Downloads/8-tileable-meta l-textures/"  forKey:@"Save Location"];
    and still not touch the "Loggining Enabled" = 1 I don't that the 1 is an issue.
    Sorry if I'm being dense.

  • Non-Catalog Items

    Hi Experts!
    For my B2B scenario (ERP backend) I need to be able to add non-catalog items to the basket and to order them.
    I read about the XCM configuration for adding items which do not belong to the web catalog by using the component "enable.nonCatalogProducts". But it doesn't work, cause I always receive an error message in my basket after I have added a non-catalog product. Any advices?

    Hi Mirko,
    the error message states exactly what the problem is: The material you are trying to order is not available in the sales area you are currently using and which is configured in the Shopadmin application. You will have to either add this sales area to the material or you will have to change the shop setup so that you work in the correct sales area.

  • Workbook having non-aggregated items

    When I created a workbook for a client using Discover 4.1 user edition I encountered a problem stated "join configuration can not be resolved. Reason: more than 1 detailed folders uses non - aggregated items. How can I resolved this issue??
    Thanks

    The Administrator should try to set up the joins such that the relationships are defined in terms of going from the Dimension to the Fact. For Relational Schemas, try to define the joins so they originate from the "one" side to the "many" side - assuming a 1-m relationship. This has provided some measure of success in resolving the join/non-aggregate items problem, but I must admit that it doesn't appear to be a Total solution. I suspect there's more to it than what I've just described, because I still encounter the error under certain conditions. I'm usually able to select from the available joins I've defined such that I can build workbooks with the elements the client wants to see. But ideally, you shouldn't have to go through the process of identifying the "correct" join definitions - especially if the clients are attempting to build their own workbooks. If anyone has additional information that would better clarify the problem/resolution, I'd be happy to hear about it.

  • Why empty query if non-db items populated??

    Can anyone tell me why having a block with non-database items, when preassigned before entering block, would result in an empty query for the rest of the database items in the block?
    In a when-button-pressed trigger I assign values to the non-db items in the new block. When I do this, the query returns nothing. If I comment out those assignment commands, it queries fine. why??

    Hi Anthony,
    Did you get a FRM-40402 error - Field must be entered? If you did, you probably have a (Primary Key) mandatory field in the block.
    Anyway, what is the reason for assigning values to the non-db items before executing a query?

    John
