FRM-40200 (Not displaying the message)
Hello Guru,
I am using oracle database 11g and forms 10.0.1.2.3 version. I have a for with 2 block. One block is non data base block. Another is data base block, but query data source type is from clause query. i.e. this block is depend on a query. In the when-new-form-instance trigger I am executing the query add getting the result. The block insert and update property is false. After load the form If I am updating the items value, I am not getting the message "FRM-40200: Form is protected against update". Alos the on-error and on-message triggers are not firing. In on-error trigger I am not handing any error, also I am not supressing any error in the on-message. Any reasion for this, and how to display the default message?

hi,
a from clause query does not allow updates.
You have a couple of options.
Convert your from clause query to a vew and (if the view is key-preserved) you will be able to update the returned records
Base your block on a procedure and write update/lock procedures to process your updates

Or ....Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. -
How sxmb_moni is displaying the messages
Hi,
I want to know how sxmb_moni is displaying the error information.
when messages are listed and we select one error message.If we click error_information button it displays a pop up with detailed errors.
Can some one please tell me from where it retrieves the messages. is it from any data base table.
I have debugged standard program with out any clueHi samir,
you are right as i am calling the cl_proxy_fault and passing the exception class name.
But my requirement is can i know where this error messgae will get stored.
I feel tht unless it stores in database table it will not display the message in sxmb_moni.
( Here i am talking about additional error information )

ADF FACES: af:messages/ does not display my messages at all
I am having an issue displaying messages using ADF MyFaces EA20.

Within all backing beans I call messages with the following method to conveniently display messages when needed.

With the first login page when validating username and password, the messages I send to the context display correctly, for example, incorrect password please try again and this uses exactly the same code as above in the backing bean.
However once a session has started the messages simply do not get displayed and are not included in the HTML the <af:messages /> is replaced with nothing.
No runtime exception is thrown.
If anyone has any idea of why the messages are not being displayed I would be very grateful to hear them.
Finally if I may add that I used this method of displaying messages in a previous project and it was fine. This time the only difference is that I am using Hibernate.
The closest answer I could find to a similar issue with Oracle Forums was:
The messages have to be added before the Render Response phase. It's generally very unusual to add messages in a bean getter/setter. I'd restrict yourself to adding messages in event listeners and actions.
I do put messages in my setter methods as this is where I perform validation, but I have tried moving them to the main method called by the action button and this still does not display my messages.Frank
There is a standard way? Next time you can simply tell me to RTFM ;-) . I am working on a project and was assigned my particular section and was told that the messaging aspect and validation was not urgent, until now near the end of the project when it has become urgent. Rather then listen to my colleagues answer of "this is the way to do it" your answer suggested that we working in a non-standard way.
Having looked at Oracle JDeveloper 10g (10.1.3) Documentation, Validation, Conversion, and the Application Lifecycle section I noticed:
Render response:
Either display new page based on invoked navigation rules, or displays same page with errors.
I was providing a new navigation String to the same page under all conditions, which I guess gives a new context and so does not display the messages. Under error conditions I now return an empty navigation String and now it displays my messages.
Thank you for your help with this and I promise to read the manual next time.

My Ipod classic stopped suddenly while playing on the dock. On checking it said connect to iTunes to restore and the battery had also exhausted itself. On connecting to iTunes it kept displaying the message Do Not Disconnect but showed the battery getting charged. Sometime later it said OK TO DISCONNECT. It never worked after that. Please help /guide to restore...

While doing process, it asks for the Apple id and password. My iPod Touch keeps displaying the message 'This accessory not supported by iPod touch.' When I've used it w/this device multiple times, it's happening more and more frequently now. Anyway to dismiss this message for good? Because the iPod still plays thru my radio and system.
That message is usually due to a bad cable.

The Problem/s
1. I am unable to sync my iPhone 4S with my Mac Book Pro, either by cable, wifi or bluetooth
2. iTunes will initiall open and briefly identifies the iPhone in the Device section in iTunes.
3. When iTunes starts to read the iPhone (displaying the spinning wheel), it immediately then quits and

1. iTunes will still start normally once the USB cable is removed from the Mac book Pro, but crashes again once the USB cable is reattached to the computer

How do I not display the preview pane in mail until I open it with a double click? Some mail I do not wish to open-just delete it. New macbook pro with LION OS
Just drag the divider line between the preview pane and the message list all the way to the edge so the preview is completely closed. Selected messages will open in a new window with a double-click or the return key.

Need to display the messages in a view which has the pop up on it
Hello all,
I have a view(View 1) in which if i click a button a pop up is being displayed.
Now on the pop up(which has view 2 of window 2) i have a button(Ok) and if i click it then based on a condition i need to close the pop up and then display the message in the message area of View 1.
Now if i click the button on the Pop up then it is being closed and the message is not being displayed on view 2.
I think the message is being displayed on the pop up and is being closed after that.
How can i display my message on View 1.
Any ideas...Please help

Has anyone encountered the below-said show- stopper. Another BIG TIME help required, will help me in tremendous fashion.
Am using Adobe RoboHelp, Version 10 and IE version being 10.
In my local machine :
1.)I have completed my technical writing courtesy Design editor
2.)Generating chm File : View -> Pods –> Single Source Layouts -> Right Click on Microsoft HTML Help -> Tagged Set as Primary Layout
3.)Generating Primary Layout : File -> Generate -> Primary Layout (Microsoft HTML Help)…
4.)Viewing Primary Layout : File -> View -> Primary Layout
Everything works FANTASTICALLY till here with the required output (as Hide, Back, Refresh, Home, Print, Options, Contents, Index, Search, Glossary and with the data contents)
Show Stopper, At my Application Server :
5.)I copy the entire robohelp project folder from my local machine to my application Server path
6.)My Application has been developed in ASP .NET, Version 4.0.
7.)Help link has been created in this application wherein here the file name of < >.chm has been linked in the code to be read from the Server’s RoboHelp project folder\!SSL!\ Microsoft_HTML_Help\

Cheese – Vipin NambiarIf you looked at the error message and searched the forum, you should find the answer as this is a problem that started in 2005. You should not run CHM files from a server and cannot without editing the users registry. See the page below.

Hello
Users are getting error : No authorization to display the message,
when they are trying to view the content of the message.
When checked in the error logs, I see teh below log:
