From IDoc to SMTP with XML attachment.
Hi,
I'm looking for some info to guide me up how to split and IDOC structure into an email message that contents an XML file attached and a NFS repository.
I mean, i need to create an XML FIle from the IDOC and i need to post it into a NFS directory and also send it attached into an email message.
May i create both messages in a single process?
This is my scenario:
<R/3 Sales IDoc> TO <SMTP/FTP Business partners> and <local file system>.
Thnx in advanced.
Gerardo.
Ps. I will post reward points.
Bhavesh/Krishna,
Thank you guys for your helpful comments, just to acknowledge you i have gathered all the links that i found in these forums in order to help other people in this issue:

Idoc to RNIF with pdf attachment
Hi
I am implementing a Idoc to RNIF with pdf attachment. I have to pick the pdf file from an ftp server in PI based on the invoice number in the idoc. I could not find a blog or documentation on how to attach the pdf file. The only viable solution I found is to create a module in this forum [Re: Using attachment with RNIF|Re: Using attachment with RNIF] Has anybody implemented this in any other way? Also, in this solution its not clear how both the messages and pdf file are reaching the rnif adapter together.
Can somebody give a step by step solution?
I am on PI 7.1 Ehp1
Thanks in advance
AsifAnyone working/worked with RNIF adapter would like to share their experience.

Whenever I send a email from iPad mail app with an attachment from pages or numbers, the receiver is getting only attachment in the email. They are getting the email content. How to troubleshoot this issue.
Someone is probably sending spam with your address forged on the To: line. Could be one of your old contacts with a Windows machine has a virus that's doing it. It's also possible your e-mail account has been hacked, though I'd think such a hacker would be a bit more purposeful.

B2B - Email with XML attachment - Error in reading the xml file
Hello,
We have a requirement where an application sends an email with an xml attachment to a Lotus Notes (IMAP) mail box. I have configured the Partner, Agreements and Listening Channel to pick up the file from the mail box. Looks like when B2B is trying to read / store attachment, it errors out, there is no instance in B2B created. Looking at the logs, the file content is not read as XML, instead it seems like a text. When B2B tries to read the attachment it is not xml, there are no error messages as well.
The "Content type" in the Listening Channel is set to blank, so B2B can decide appropriate content type. Should this be set?
Could some one tell me what is wrong, not sure what is missing in the configuration.
Thanks,
Venkatesh

at oracle.jdbc.driver.T4C8Oall.processError(T4C8Oall.java:889)Thanks Anuj,
After setting the property, I am no longer receiving the error, however, still fails with a different error, "Exception occurs in conversion from mail to TransportMessage. Please make sure the message sent is in correct format." and "TransportMessage cannot be created from mail. Skip this mail."
The error appears after / while, executing, IMAPMonitor.saveAttachment():
Is this a problem with the attachment or the email?

Sending mails from sap to outlook with pdf attachment
Hi All
I am using the function module 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1' to send
mail with the pdf attachment to a SMTP mail id(outlook). I have done all the configuration settings in SCOT transaction. But still i am not able to get the mail in my outlook mailbox. Following are the details of the steps i have followed.
step1.
Get the OTF data output from the SMARTFORMS function module.
step2,
convert the OTF output data to PDF format.
step3.
populate all the required table to pass data to the function
module 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1' -
packing_list
contents_bin
contents_txt
receivers
and call the function module.
After doing the above steps still i am not able to get the mail in my outlook mailbox. Please Help.
Thanks
Jitendra Kumar Tripathy.hi,

Advanced mapping from IDOC to SOAP with reversed 3 level context change
Hi everyone.
I am having a though time mapping the HRMD_A01 IDOC into a SOAP message. The reason is that the reciever expects an xml structure where the root node is cost center instead of employee which is the case in the IDOC.
Mapping from:
IDOC (1..1)
E1PLOGI (1..unb)
SEGMENT (String)
OBJID (String)
E1PITYP (1..unb)
E1P0001 (1..unb)
SEGMENT (String)
KOSTL (String)
To this structure:
List (1..1)
CostCenters (1..unb)
KOSTL (String) ----> Mapped against KOSTL above
Employees (1..unb)
OBJID (String) ----> Mapped against OBJID above
I expect several occurances of E1PLOGI which states multiple employees sent in the IDOC. I also expect several occurences of E1P0001 containing cost centers.
My conclusion is that I need an advanced mapping and I have created one which collects all KOSTL for the IDOC context, deletes duplicates, and creates the CostCenters segment. This is now working. But my problem is that I can't create the employees segment in the right place. They are only created once under the first CostCenters node.
Here's the java-code for mapping between KOSTL and CostCenters/KOSTL:
public void costCenters(String[] var1, ResultList result, Container container) throws StreamTransformationException{
Set set = new HashSet(Arrays.asList(var1));
String[] array2 = (String[])(set.toArray(new String[set.size()]));
Arrays.sort(array2);
for (int i = 0; i < array2.length; i++) {
result.addValue(array2<i>);
Any ideas on how to proceed?
Best RegardsHi,
Do the mapping like below.
UDF should be select as context.
List (1..1)
CostCenters (1..unb)
KOSTL (String) ----> Mapped against KOSTL above
Employees (1..unb)
OBJID (String) ----> Mapped against OBJID above
Mapping:
KOSTL(RightSelectChange the context to E1PITYP)--UDF--Removecontext--CostCenters
KOSTL(RightSelectChange the context to E1PITYP)--UDF--SplitbyValue(Each Value)--KOSTL
constant---Employees
OBJID----------------------------------------------Use One As Many---SplitByValue (EachValue)----------OBJID
KOSTL(RightSelectChange the context to E1PITYP)--UDF---
KOSTL(RightSelectChange the context to E1PITYP)--UDF---

Mail Package with XML attachment
Hi Everybody,
I am using Mail Package to implement dynamic mail.
The email is sent successfully, the problem is that when I try to open my XML attachment and the error 'The page can not be displayed' appears in my browser.
I changed charset from ISO-8859-1 to UTF-8. But it still didn't work.
Here is the information in my content_type tag:
text/plain; charset=UTF-8 ; name=NFe.xml
Please anyone could help me ?
Regards,
DanielaThanks for your reply.
In fact the right value for Context_Type tag is application/xml; charset="UTF-8"; name="MyFile.xml"
And I also removed the values in the Tags "Content_Description" and "Content_Disposition".
Now it is working fine.

Can i simple this transform in to XML format?
I need Element which has XML structure.
my string looks like that is:

But really, you need to do some research -
Please help! - mail with xml attachment
hallo,
i have posted this problem 2 weeks ago but nobody could give an antwort :(
i don't know what is wrong.
i try to send a xml file as attachment.
but i get this error :
javax.activation.UnsupportedDataTypeException: no object DCH for MIME type multipart/mixed; boundary="----=_Part_1_535863.1163682451650"
i have searched this error in google and found that one cause of it is the duplication of the mail and activation.jar but this is not the case by me .
my code is following :
there is no problem with authentication because i can send normal mails.
public static void sendMail(String to) {
Properties props = new Properties();
props.put("mail.smtp.user", from);
props.put("mail.smtp.host", "smtp.googlemail.com");
props.put("mail.smtp.port", 25);
props.put("mail.smtp.starttls.enable","true");
props.put("mail.smtp.auth", "true");
props.put("mail.smtp.socketFactory.port", port);
try{
Authenticator auth = new SMTPAuthenticator(from,password);
Session session = Session.getDefaultInstance(props, auth);
session.setDebug(debug);
MimeMessage msg = new MimeMessage(session);
msg.setFrom(new InternetAddress(from));
InternetAddress[] address = {new InternetAddress(to)};
msg.setRecipients(Message.RecipientType.TO, address);
msg.setSubject(subject);
msg.setHeader("Content-Type", "multipart/mixed");
MimeBodyPart mbp1 = new MimeBodyPart();
mbp1.setText(text);
mbp1.setHeader("Content-Type", "text/plain");
MimeBodyPart mbp2 = new MimeBodyPart();
Multipart multipart = new MimeMultipart();
FileDataSource fds = new FileDataSource("filename.xml");
mbp2.setDataHandler(new DataHandler(fds));
mbp2.setFileName(fds.getName());
mbp2.setHeader("Content-Type", "application/xml");
// mbp2.setHeader("Content-Transfer-Encoding", "BASE64");
Multipart mp = new MimeMultipart();
mp.addBodyPart(mbp1);
mp.addBodyPart(mbp2);
msg.setSentDate(new Date());
msg.setContent(mp);
Transport.send(msg);
} catch (MessagingException mex) {
mex.printStackTrace();
Exception ex = null;
if ((ex = mex.getNextException()) != null) {
ex.printStackTrace();
thanks,SOLVED.
the reason was really dupplication.
i have made a dummy mistake :)
i had the mail and activation.jar in tomcat/common/lib but i have added another copies of these jars to my application.
an then i try to add the jars from tomcat and it works :) -
File to Mail with XML Attachment
Hi Ravi,
Just have look into the configuration of sender file adapter configuration.
The sender file adapter is configured to pick the normal payload, which is specified in the File access parameters, and the additional image file that is to be sent as an attachment is configured under the Additional File(s).The file type would still remain binary.
Also check out the Module c onfiguration if you did it correctly and check out the transform.ContentType values inside.
Hope this will help you.
Regards
Aashish SinhaHi Shabarish,
In the module tab i have specified the below beans
localejbs/AF_Modules/MessageTransformBean contentType
AF_Modules/PayloadZipBean zip
sap.com/com.sap.aii.adapter.mail.app/XIMailAdapterBean mail
In the module configuration i mentioned as
Transform.ContentDescription file
Transform.ContentDisposition attachment:filename="file.xml"
zip.filenameKey contentType
zip.mode zipOne
Now i am getting the mail with zip file as an attachment.But the name of the attachment i got is MainDocument.zip
Even the file name inside the zip is MainDocument.xml.
How can i specify my own file name for both zip file and the file inside the archieve folder.Please help me.

Manual Drag and Drop from Tree to Tree with XML dataProvider
Been struggling with Drag-n-Drop between Tree controls. As far as I can tell, it doesn't work very well.
I have boiled it down to a minimal project below and would be ever so grateful if someone can tell me what I am doing wrong.
The complete MXML application file is below. Flex 3.5.
Two trees side-by-side. One has XML that I want to drag over to the drop tree.
On the DragOver() event, I select the node which is given to me by the calculateDropIndex() function.
After startup; first open the L1 branch on the left and drag L11 over and drop it on the right Tree.
Looks good, root node is selected/highlighted and dropFeedback is correct and dropping the node drops it as a child of "Start Here".
Open the Start Here root node to see it.
Now proceded to #1 below.
Here are the problems:
1) Drag "L12" from the left tree over to the middle of the right tree (below "L11" just dropped). "L11" will not be selected. The Selected node (with dropIndex=4) will be the entire new nested XML "<L><L11/></L>"; and therefore only "Start Here" node will be highlighted. Drop "L12" anyway. So, it is acting like selectedIndex = <anynumber> will only select the root node. How do I get the new L11 to show as a drop target?
2) Now drag "L21" from the left tree onto the right tree; again starting below all nodes on the right tree. Selected node will not change until you drag it above #2 out of 3. Then, you can drag it anywhere, and correctly highlight/select any node as the target, and get that node in code. This is a problem. Go ahead and drop it anywhere. Now if you drag, for example, L22 from the left it will correctly highlight/select any node without having to first drag above #2 in the list.
3) Now, grab and drag L11 a second time and drop it at the bottom on the right. Drag L23 over. No matter which L11 you hover over, it highlights the one at the bottom. How can this be right?
Those are the bugs I would like to figure out. If I am doing it wrong, I sure would like to know what I am doing wrong. The code below is distilled down to one simple mxml application module.
Thanks,
Jeff

</mx:Application>I just found out that by setting the dataProvider for each tree to the XML variable instead of the XMLListCollection variable, problems #1 and #2 went away!
But the documentation says to use an XMLListCollection if you will be dynamically changing the tree contents.
And, I just found out that #1 returns if I specify showRoot="false". But with it set to "true" that problem goes away. Is there some sort of minimum XML required to make drag-n-drop work on these Tree controls?
Hmmmm. It appears that (for #3) the calculateDropIndex() will always return the last matching XML node - by name - in the tree. -
I cannot send an email from my contact list and attach a photo from my pictures. I can reply to emails I have in my inbox BUT i cannot find where I would attach a picture there.

IDOC to PDF and XML via EMail: using InputAttachment interface in mapping
Hello Together,
I am working on the following scenario:
IDOC --> Transformation Nr. 1 IDOC-XML; Transformation Nr.2 XML- PDF --> Email with 2 Attachments XML and PDF.
Till now Iu2019ve managed "IDOC to Email" with XML-Attachment. Therefore I used MailPackage and SwapBean. Unfortunately I didnu2019t see any possibility to send PDF attachment with MailPackage approach.
Thatu2019s why I decided to change the scenario in this way to avoid using of MailPackage:
u2022 first step: IDOC to FTP (2 XML files)
u2022 second step: FTP (1. file = payload + 2. file= attachment) to Email with one XML-attachment
It works without MailPackage, but I still need the PDF-attachment. In the moment I am trying to read the XML-attachment, to transform XML2PDF and to add the second attachment to the message inside of mapping . I use InputAttachment and OutputAttachment interfaces.
http://help.sap.com/javadocs/pi/SP3/xpi/com/sap/aii/mapping/api/InputAttachments.html
Unfortunately the reading of the XML-attachment with u201CInputAttachementu201D interface inside of mapping doesnu2019t work. Tracing says: "there is no attachment".
So my questions are:
1. Is it possible to work with Input- and OutputAttachement interfaces inside of mapping? Or does it work only inside of adapter module?
2. If it works inside of mapping, how can I test it in design time?
If you see any other way to solve my problem, let me know please.
Thank you a lot, regards AnnaQuestion Nr. 1:
"... Mapping programs are executed in the Java part of SAP NetWeaver AS. Consequently, the mapping runtime transfers the message payload from the ABAP part of the SAP NetWeaver Application Server to the Java part before the mapping program is executed. Since mapping programs do not usually access any MIME attachments in a message, the default setting is for the mapping runtime to transfer the payload only and not the attachments. This applies for both attachments that are removed as part of MTOM optimization in the Web services runtime, as well as for attachments that a sender sends together with a payload by using proxy methods in the XI runtime.
If you want to access an attachment from a mapping program, it must have been transferred from the ABAP part to the Java part prior to execution. You can configure this in the basic settings of the operation mapping in which you reference the mapping program (select the Read Attachments checkbox)..."
