From itouch to iphone music?

Hello everyone,
One question for the forums here, if someone wouldn't mind.
I've had an itouch for at least a year now. With about 20 gigs of music on my computer, I've managed to filter through most of it to create a pretty good selection of my music on my itouch (about 8 gigs.) It's at the point where I can random through my entire itouch library without having to skip songs constantly.
Problem being, I can't figure out how to take the exact music on my itouch and put it on my iphone without having to refilter my entire itunes library by hand, again.
I've tried making a playlist of all my music on the itouch, but it's not possible to make a playlist on itunes from the itouch's library?
This seems like a simple function, what am I missing?

Had you created an iTunes playlist in the first place for this music along with syncing music instead of manually managing music, this would be as simple as selecting the same playlist under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes followed by a sync. Since disk mode is not supported with the iPod Touch and iPhone which allows for manually transferring music from an iTunes library on more than one computer, there is very little if any benefit with manually managing music with an iPod Touch and iPhone.
I think you need to create a playlist in iTunes especially since you are manually managing music.
