From labview to excel:table and graph customized

Hi
I want to get this table in excel and in front of each row a graph drawed using just the value of E1,E2, E3, E4, E5 ....E10 ,and in the table ,for the columns M1 M2 ....M10 the have to contain either yes or no ,if yes the cell has to be green if ni the cell has to be red.
i'm wondering if there is a real solution to solve thoses 2 problems

2-because those values are numeric and each one represents elapsed time in a test ,so i want to get a graph from thoses values for each student,and in front of his row.i think i must have big rows so the graph will be clear
3-it's about a maintain,so it has either true or false(booleen),if it's true>green otherwise > red

Writing data from labview to excel

Hi, currently I'm trying to get an array of data from labview into a specific excel file everytime.
The attachment i have is a program creating a new worksheet everytime it runs. I couldn't figure out how to make it work. Anyone can help me?

So what is the specific problem? What is it doing that is incorrect? If the problem is that it is creating a new file every time its because the first subVI is opening a spreadsheet template file. Or at least I think it is since all of the subvis are missing...

PDF's from AutoCAD with Excel tables

I have been trying to plot an excel spreadsheet within LT2009. I am using "Adobe PDF" driver, and end up with extra lines running vertically through the excel table (see column 9 in image below).
I am convinced that it is an Adobe driver issue as it doesn't happen with Autocad's dwg to pdf driver. And I would use the ACAD driver but it won't plot a true A3 size (large marging and cuts off my border)..
Using Autocad LT2009, Acrobat 9 Pro and MS Office 2010.
Would appreciate any insight.

Do you have Adobe Acrobat X Professional installed? PDFMaker, the Adobe PDF icon you were referring to, will install into AutoCad 2008 and later with Acrobat X Converting via PDFMaker should preserve your layers.

Diadem report generation from LabView: textbox, textobject, table

Hello everybody,
I'm trying to generate a report from LabView and want to use DIAdem reports as templates because they easy (I thought) to configure and design.
Well, I managed to include several pictures and textboxes that I can fill dynamically with the information I want using the reort generation vi, but I ran into some problems when it gets into detail:
I also need to include a bunch of statistical data in the report together with the name of the variable. e.g. it's supposed to look like this:

I am using the NI-DAQ to measure the falling edges of a clock and display them into a table. What I need is to display these data in a table in excel while the program is running. In addition, when I receive a pulse from an external clock, for which I have created a digital channell, the data must be logged in a different column. In other words, every time I receive a pulse the data must be stored in the adjacent column in excel.

As far as I know and have experienced, it is not possible to access a spreadsheet file (or any file, for that matter) by two programs at the same time, you will get an error.
Also, a couple of observations on your code:
A constant wired to a case selector of a case structure makes no sense as the false case will never be executed.
Move the DAQmx Read from your Digital Input task into the while loop, as the DAQmx Read will only read once and the wire won’t get information in or out of a while loop as long as the while loop is iterating.

Write from labview to excel test results

Hey
I need some help to get my results from pressure transmitter to excel in 2 rows.
The program works like when you get into case 9 like in picture and it will stay there in 15 min. I want it to log the pressure from my DAQ from 0-15min into a excel sheet.
I have tryed so many things now and I cant find a good solution
I want to choose were it will be saved before I get into case 9 in my frontpanel.

Using the Write To Measurement File.vi it is possible to promt the user for the file storage location etc.

Please also note that logging data is a time consuming operation that might slow down the execution rate of the loop. For high performance I would therefore recommend adding the data to be logged to a queue, and writing the queued data to file in a separate loop.

Importing tables and graphs from Word to pdf form

Hi. I've got a form set up in which people are supposed to submit a final report on a grant. There are large multi-line text fields in which they can enter text -- and most people are writing the text in Word and then just copying it into the text fields. In the process, however, they lose formatting of any tables, charts and graphs that are in the Word file. Is there any way to avoid that? Or is the only solution to ask them to append a Word-created pdf containing any tables, etc., to the form?

Binary file readed from Labview and Borland C++ v.5

Hi Everybody!
My problem is reading binary file from Labview 7.0 and Borland C++ version 5 is not the same.
Only one difference is "space". Reading from Labview I got "00" (decimal) and reading from Borland C++ I got "32".
I also try to read this binary file with Matlab 6 and I also got "00" as well as those from Labview.
I really struck with this problem.. Anybody has an idea about this problem.

Labview Vs. Excel help in scaling

I currently have this excel page i created using labview.
and i am currently using microsoft excel page to scale it manually with the clicks of the mouse.
is there a way where I can automatically scaled it from labview to excel automatically?

I have an XY graph.
the properties of the graph already have x-axis & y-axis, min and max.
how do i use those properties and apply it to my excel graph?
can someone please help me. my on going problem with this case is giving me such hard times.

The communication of LabView on Excel is unstable.

After the rearrangement of Windows 2000 to Windows XP the communication of LabVIEW on Excel is unstable. I write an Array from LabVIEW to Excel.
Only zeros arrive in Excel mostly, however.
It works from time to time.

If you can please post a code snippet, it would be useful. I have
not had any issues with LabVIEW 7.1.1 and Excel XP(2002) or 2003

RS232 and Graph

I am new here and I would like to ask a question about Labview.
Can you help me ?
Actually, I am working on a project with a PIC.
The PIC sent 3 informations (that evolves in time) to Laview (in my case, it is current, tension and time)
To send these informations, I use RS-232.
Moreover, I have used examples from Labview called 'Basic Serial Write and Read'.
It is great ! It works and Labview can display my values thus : 'current;tension;time\n'
I would like to display these datas on 3 graphs.
I think my first step should be : De-multiplexing or try to convert my data (string made by RS232) into float.
What do you think ? How can I do that ?

Actually, I would like to ask just two questions about this topic and it will end my problems (sorry, I asked a lot of questions )
1) What about sampling and chart ?
Thanks to my PIC, I can measure current,velocity and tension. And I send datas every 200 ms.
Do the charts display my values every 200 ms ?
2) When I start "Writing", my charts don't start at 0 second. Why ? It looks like there is already something.
I recorded another gif in order to show you what's happened.

About the scaling, I would like to divide each element (velocity, current and tension) by 10. So, I just used the divisor as you did.

Send serial from LabVIEW to 8051 mc

Actually wat i need is. My project is online temperature control. I'm receiving my dac value tat means temperature from rtd is getting in LabVIEW using 8051 board. But now I need feedback error voltage to send mc from LabVIEW. Tat means if my condition is true I have to send port on tat means 5v if my condition false I have to send 0v tat means port off

Your question does not seem directly related to LabVIEW or serial communication. You program the micro to send 0/5 volts. What you write to the micro from LabVIEW is up to you and how you write the micro code. Send ascii text (i.e. ON/OFF) that your micro decodes or a single character (i.e 0/1). What have you tried and where are you stuck?

Table entries deleted in Customized table.

table entries in a customized table were deleted in production system, no transports pertaining it was found.
Table entries were updated using bapi.
Please help me to know how the table entries were deleted.

Hi Johnson,
you might have to restore the DB Backup for the table to gt back the data....
Furthermore, if you want to track how the entried were deleted then there are 2 ways to go about it:
If the Deletion of the records was through an application (FM,Program call) then there should be Chande Documents available for them and you can search them by hitting tables CDHDR and CDPOS...
If the Deletion of the records was done physically the you can try looking into the tables UASE16N_CD_KEY and UASE16N_CD_DATA (deletion from transaction UASE16N) or tables SE16N_CD_KEY and SE16N_CD_DATA(Deletion from SE16). This will give change pointer documents if the records were deleted using these transactions...
Another option might be that somebody has used the Database utility and selected the option Delete Data. In this case you can have a look at the object log....
