Frustrating IPhone Recovery Method Not Working !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I tried to recover my Iphone 5 and it said unknown error while recovering my IPhone. I'm very confused and need A LOT of help so please help me ! It is frustrating my a lot

Maybe I can help - foremost how is it that you were trying to recover your iPhone? Do you mean "Restoring" it?
If so, then I'd recommend a 2 step process which you should follow immediately so that you don't loose all of your data.
Get a backup recovery software - I would personally recommend Total Saver from MyPhoneData as it is the easiest and most economical one available in the market. Run it against the backup of your iPhone 5 so as to get all of your contacts, photos, videos etc saved on your computer
Try to do a hard reset of your iPhone and restore from the latest backup.

ITunes will not sync songs onto iPhone, troubleshooting methods not working

Simply put, songs will not download onto my iPhone. I have tried every method that I could think of to solve this:
-restarting phone and mac
-updating iTunes
-taking off all the music from the phone and redownloading
-rechecking the little check thing that says I want that song
-restoring my phone
-going onto the individual tab to sync and syncing from there(which leads to a whole other problem, because that deletes songs(story for another thread))
-manually dragging songs onto my phone icon dropbox thingy
-making sure the songs are the proper files
... and still nothing has worked.
When I go on my phone menu when its plugged into iTunes, and then go to the 'On Device' section, it shows that the songs are there, but they are faded out with this little circle thing next to them(I don't know if this is significant).
I'm at my wits end, I just don't know what to do. I don't understand why iTunes is refusing to do something as simple as sync songs.
Any ideas? Thank you for any help you can provide!

UPDATE:
I finally figured it out (though I'm not sure this counts as 'figuring it out').
So, what worked for me was unchecking the check box thing next to the song and syncing the phone. After the sync--behold!--, the songs were in my phone. I don't know if this is another glitch or not, but I'm running with it.
I wanted to post the answer so that other people who may have had this issue can hopefully resolve it.

The only way out of Recovery mode is to connect to iTunes and restore. If you cannot access the computer you normally sync with, you will lose all of your content, unless you sync to iCloud. With no backup present, your content will be lost.

if your computer is not recognizing it, try using a different USB port or different usb cable. if that doesnt work you will need to uninstall and reinstall itunes.

This sounds more like a hardware issue.
Have you checked that the dock connector port is not dirty?

The iPhone 4 may not work with a cut down SIM. Get a microSIM from your carrier when you set up service.

The other possible things you can try would include...
Inserting the lightning connector and applying a little bit of pressure up under the Home button.
Some folks have cleaned the Home button with a few drops of isopropic alochol caring to not get it on your screen. This is only going to get things working again if it has been gummed up through normal use
If you are still within the one-year warranty or extended it with Apple Care don't try any of these steps just take it to Apple.
