FTP Adapter error: SLDAccess

Hello everyone!
When XI picks up an XML using the FTP adapter (sender), I get this error message:
<b><i>Error: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.ConfigException: Some of the IS access information is not available. SLDAcess property may be set to true, but SLD is not available.</i></b>
in the Comm. Channel monitoring. No message is processed in the Integration Engine.
Would anyone know what could be causing this error?

Hi,
Check if your FTP adapter is working.
Also check connection between XI and FTPSERVER.

  • Sending Email When FTP Adapter Errors Out

    Hello everyone,
    I am developing a very simple interface to grab a file from a directory and ftp it to a partner's server. Now I want to be able to check if an error occurs when I send the file so I can send a notification e-mail to the administrator and move the file to an Error-Archive directory.
    Some of the errors that could happen are:
    1. Partner server is down
    2. FTP Username or password is wrong
    3. FTP account does not have permissions to write to the Partner server
    4. ...etc
    I have defined an Integration process and for the block where I ftp my file, I defined an exception which I catch in an exception branch. In the Exception branch, I have then defined steps to send notification emails and move the file to an error-archive directory. But unfortunately all the steps of the Integration Process seems to pass, although the FTP Adapter throughs an error.
    I'm not sure how can I get the FTP adapter errors to be passed back to my integration process. I already searched in the service market place for OSS notes and also searched the SDN but I can't find any helpful information.
    There is one OSS note, 821267, that mentions the use of System Acknowledgements. I'm not sure if this will help me and I don't know how to set it up.
    Does anyone have any ideas on how to handle this particular scenario? Did anyone implement System Acknowledgements with the File/FTP adapter?
    Any help is greatly appreciated

    Hi,
    To do the alert configuration as suggested, please go through the information below.
    From SP 14 on PMI-free alerting was introduced. That means before SP 14 one has to configure and activate the End-to-End Monitoring, and to schedule the report SXMSALERT_PROCESS_DATA_GET in order to extract the alerts from the PMI data. For SP 14 and higher, that's not longer necessary.
    If no alerts are being delivered, please check if "Suppress multiple alerts of this rule" is checked for your rule.
    For SP 14 and higher you could also have a look at the report sxmsalert_logreader. This report shows some information about alerts being created or not.
    You'll find more information about trouble shooting the alerting in SAP Note 913858.
    Also just check if this batch program (RSALERTPROC) is running or not.

    Also, In ALRTCATDEF, go to SETTINGS--> CONFIGURATION. By default, the option selected is INTERNAL PROCESSING. Select the option SMTP FORWARDING AS XML and give the email id. This will enable you to send an email alert whenever an error occurs in XI.

    Hi Rama Krishna
      Are you saying that you are transferring data of your
    internal table to another server using a FM??? Am not
    sure if that can be done.
      How about trying this way????
      Download the data to a file on your application
    server, using open dataset statement. Then transfer this
    file to the other server using FM's FTP_CONNECT, FTP_COMMAND ....
    Kind Regards

  • 10.1.3.4 - FTP adapter error while file get

    I created an esb service that reads from a remote server and processes the file locally. It works fine in dev. When I migrated my esb flow to a test environment it is now throwing some error.
    <AdapterFramework::Inbound> Adapter Framework instance: OraESB - successfully completed endpointActivation for portType=Get_ptt, operation=Get
    <FTP Adapter::Inbound> Connection Created
    <FTP Adapter::Inbound> Unable to list files from '/apps/EDI/Archive/OutBound/Customer' directory on 'corpapp10' server; FTP command[NLST] returned unexpected reply code : 550
    <FTP Adapter::Inbound> Poller raising Alert for exception : ORABPEL-11430
    Error in listing files in the remote directory.
    Unable to list file in remote directory.
    Check the error stack and fix the cause of the error. Contact oracle support if error is not fixable.
    The dev remote server and the test remote server are different. I have done the obvious checks about server name, permissions, directory names etc. I can login to the server using windows ftp however when I go the inbound directory and type in ls, i get the following error - 550 Arguments too long. I have some 37000 files in the directory. ls -l works fine.
    I switched the ftp adapter to poll a different directory which only has 1 file, but it still gives the same error. However in this case, the windows ftp is able to list the files using ls command.
    any idea how i can make this work ?

    i undeployed the esb project and deploying it again. Now even worse, nothing happens now. It has stopped polling at all. I just see the following message in the opmn.log, but none of the files get picked up.
    <FTP Adapter::Inbound> Connection Created
    <FTP Adapter::Inbound> Connection Created
    <FTP Adapter::Inbound> Connection Created
    To be sure, I deployed it to another environment (DEV) and it works ok there.

  • SOA FTP Adapter error

    Ok so i created a new project an ESB project, i went to my ESB console and create a service/group to use. I placed an ftp adpter called get ( to get), Then i choose ascii and the opration of get for that adapter. The jndi name i choose was one inside my oc4j.xml file that has settings Ex. my username and password to ftp to my unix server (we will call FtpConnect1) it ask for directory to query(Ex. /home/ryan) file names (Ex. i tried *.txt Also i tried ryan123.txt <---- exact file name) then it created this file adapter with a get_RS by default.
    Then i dragged another FTP adapter over into the workspace. called this on put and again same jndi name (im testing now, i want to just ftp from one directory on FtpConnect1 to another directory on FtpConnect1) (home/ryan/test <------ destination) i choose ascii and defined it as put operation.
    Then by default this one did not come with its own RS attached so i created one so that it would connect to Get_RS to the Put_RS to the Put ftp adater connection. Now this was about 80 % fully explained if you need more info i can supply it, also im doing native schema just want to take whole file from point A to point B. Do you see any errors that might be possible in my quest to take over the world :)
    Forgot to mention my problem :) well first off it deploys fine everything successful esb console shows it as valid also. But it just does not work!!!!! Like will not transfer the file

    Hi idavistro,
    You can try setting the XA Transaction Timeout for SOADataSource.
    1. Log in to the WebLogic Admin Console.
    2. Select in the left tree: Services-> Datasources-> SOADataSource->Transaction.
    2. Select Set XA Transaction Timeout.
    3. Set XA Transaction Timeout to 0.
    4. Restart the server and check if the error still appears.

    For that I have created a BPEL Process .

  • FTP Adapter in SOA10.1.3.4.0 MLR4 doesn't work and no errors either

    Hi All:
    First my env summary:
    I have install SOA10.1.3.4.0 (with MLR4) on my laptop (Windows XP). Also I have install Filezilla Server on same laptop.
    In Fillezilla, I have configured a ftp location to "F:\MyFTPServer" directory. F drive is a local drive on my laptop. Also I have created a user called "soa" with password "soa" to be able to access this FTP server.
    Under F:\MyFTPServer directory, I have 3 sub folders:
    In -- to get file
    Out -- to drop the file
    Archive -- to archive the file after get and drop
    I have successfully accessed this ftp server from other computer using either MS-DOS FTP command or FTP software (e.g. WinSCP) as user "soa". I am able to drop file to "In" dirrectory and get file from "Out" directory.
    Above confirms my FTP server is ready to be used.
    Next, in SOA 10.1.3.4.0 AS console, I have create a new Connection Factory called "*eis/Ftp/myFtpServer*" (there is a seeded one called eis/Ftp/FtpAdapter and I didn't touch/configure it).
    the following is the settings for eis/Ftp/myFtpServer
    host: my laptop computer name
    port: 21
    ftpAbsolutePathBegin: /
    ftpPathSeparator: /
    listParserKey: WIN
    username: soa
    password: soa
    serverType: win
    for the rest settings, I leave as default.
    Then, I create a simple BPEL process with following components:
    One FTP Adapter called "MyFTP" with following parameters:
    <jca:operation
    FileType="ascii"
    PhysicalDirectory="In"
    ActivationSpec="oracle.tip.adapter.ftp.inbound.FTPActivationSpec"
    PhysicalArchiveDirectory="Archive"
    DeleteFile="true"
    IncludeFiles=".*\.csv"
    PollingFrequency="60"
    MinimumAge="60"
    FileModificationTime="FileSystem"
    ModificationTimeFormat="4,18,yyyyMMddHHmmSS"
    OpaqueSchema="false"
    </jca:operation>
    <service name="MyFTP">
    <port name="GetFile_pt" binding="tns:GetFile_binding">
    <jca:address location="*eis/Ftp/myFtpServer*" UIincludeWildcard="*.csv" />
    </port>
    </service>
    I create one Receive activity to get file from "MyFTP" FTP Adapter.
    Using above setting, my intention is to poll any file (*.csv) from F:\MyFTPServer\In directory and receive it into my receive activity.
    I deployed my project to SOA application server and stop/restart my SOA application once.
    Now, the real stuff begins:
    I dropped 2 simple, very small (size < 1KB) files called sample.csv and sample2.csv to F:\MyFTPServer\In diretory.
    In my domain.log file, I can see my BPEL process is starting polling every 1 minute without any error:
    <2010-09-16 15:29:25,015> <INFO> <default.collaxa.cube.activation> <File Adapter::Inbound> Managed Connection Created
    <2010-09-16 15:29:25,015> <INFO> <default.collaxa.cube.activation> <File Adapter::Inbound> Connection Created
    <2010-09-16 15:30:25,016> <INFO> <default.collaxa.cube.activation> <File Adapter::Inbound> Managed Connection Created
    <2010-09-16 15:30:25,016> <INFO> <default.collaxa.cube.activation> <File Adapter::Inbound> Connection Created
    Meanwhile, I am observing Filezilla server log and it clearly said every one minute (the timestamp match to bpel domain.log 100%), user "soa" login to this FTP server and list both files (sample.csv and sample2.csv) in "In" directory. Then it quits.
    However, I don't see any BPEL instance is created (In my BPEL project, I have cheched "Create Instance" when create my receive activity). And both files are still there in "In" folder. Per my configuration of "MyFTP" FTP adapter, the file should be deleted after it is polled successfully (*DeleteFile*="true")

    I am bit of confused. In my case, there is no any error anywhere; however, FTP Adapter in my bpel project doesn't poll file either. It does login to FTP server every one minute; did a list command; then quit.
    You may suggest I change the following 2 settings in my bpel project:
    FileModificationTime="FileSystem"
    ModificationTimeFormat="4,18,yyyyMMddHHmmSS"
    however, I think they are set correctly, because it match to MDTM command result in my Filezilla server log (see above and below). The modificaiton time format starts at position 4 and ends with position 18 with correct mask

  • Error in FTP adapter urgent

    Hi,
    i used an FTP adpater to write in a folder by selecting Put() operation. i deployed it in console, when i give inputs & test it in console it is throwing following error
    Exception occured when binding was invoked. Exception occured during invocation of JCA binding: "JCA Binding execute of Reference operation 'Put' failed due to: Error in establishing connection to FTP Server. Error in establishing connection to FTP Server. Unable to establish connection to server. ". The invoked JCA adapter raised a resource exception. Please examine the above error message carefully to determine a resolution.
    is there any settings need to be done like creating queue or connection factory settings in console , like we do for JMS adapter & DB adapter.
    thanks.

    Hi,
    Assuming that you're using SOA Suite 11g, FTP adapter requires a JNDI to be created on Weblogic Admin Console unlike File adapter. You must have used this JNDI(e.g. eis/Ftp/OracleFTP) while defining your FTP adapter config.
    Follow the Technology Adapter Guide. There are various use-cases referred here too.
