FTP VAN Sender adapter for Sterling Commerce

Hi,
I have configured an FTP VAN sender adapter from Seeburger. I am trying to connect to Sterling Commerce VAN and have configured all the parameters as what have been described in the Seeburger manual for FTP/VAN adapter. I am using a custom script as I need to change the mailbox for the polling to take place. Below is my custom script:
open [@Key=HOST] [@Key=PORT] [@Key=USER] [@Key=PASS]
cwd SD150xxx/
type [@Key=TRANSFERTYPE]
prompt
mget *
close
I configured the comm. channel to use this custom script as:
file:/temp/script.sh
When I activated the comm. channel and open the comm. channel monitor in RWB, all I get is this message:
Adapter has been started. (xxxxx) as node: xxxx
The polling did not take place although I think I've configured them correctly. The file from the mailbox is not being picked up by the comm. channel. Do you have any idea how to get this to work? FYI, I managed to configure the FTP VAN receiver adapter correctly and it worked. I just have problem with the sender channel but I did not know where I went wrong as the status in RWB did not state any error to the configuration. Pls help.

Issue solved.
We need to configure something in the Seeburger Workbench-Resource Management-Resources. The incoming channels need to be set to be greater than 0. The Seeburger FTP VAN adapter now works as expected.

FTP Sender Adapter for OpenVMS

Hi,
did anyone of you use a FTP Sender Adapter on an OpenVMS System?
If I connect via FTP Client (Dos, Unix Shell or Filezilla) this works fine so far but with XI I receive the following error message:
Error occurred while connecting to the FTP server "server:21": java.net.SocketException: Connection timed out:could be due to invalid address

Check your FTP server Address and the port number. If you are using SSL / TLS then the port numbers will change.

FTP/File Sender Adapter over SSL - 500 Illegal PORT command.

Hello Experts!
I'm trying to configure FTP Sender Adapter over SSL. This is the configuration I'm using:
Server: server01
Port: 21
Data Connection: Active
Timeout: 100
Connection Security: FTPS (FTP Using SSL/TLS) for Control and Data Connection
Command Order: AUTH TLS, USER, PASS, PBSZ, PROT
I have imported ftp server certificate into TrustedCAs key store. When the sender adapter tries to connect it receives the error 500 Illegal PORT command when getting files list.
This is an excerpt of the logs of connection steps:

I think we found the problem though. FTP Administrator says this is wrong:

Problem in file sender adapter for newline character

Hi All,
I'm trying to read a file of only one record with the following fields.
Name
Age
Place
Each field is seperated by a new line which is the cause of the problem.
The problem is the value 'nl' for x.fieldSeperator is not been recognised in file sender adapter.
The adapter creates a new record (new XML) for each individual field seperated by new line.
I've tried even with the corresponding hexadecimal values '0x0a' and '0x0d'.

File adapter is successful... But it generates seperate records for each fields that's wat the prob is..

Mail Sender Adapter for Exchange 2007 IMAPS account

Hi everybody,
I have the following todo:
I configured a Mail Sender Adapter that is supposed to fetch mails from an IMAP account.
The mails contain text files with data to be processed by XI 3.0 SP 22.
The mail server is Exchange 2007 and requires IMAPS. IMAP is not enough. I read the notes
- 893590 - XI 3.0 Mail sender adapter with IMAP or POP with SSL problem
- 856599 - FAQ: XI 3.0 / PI 7.0 / PI 7.1 Mail Adapter
and configured the sender apapter as follows:
URL: imaps://<ip address>/owa
Authentication method: Plain
User: <domain>\<user>
Password: topsecret
Poll Interval: 5
The first challenge is to setup the adapter with SSL. To do so, I added the Exchange server's
root SSL certificate in the default truststore service-ssl via the KeyStorage service.
This is necessary, as far as I know, to successfully validate the Exchange server's trusted
certifacate which is being transfered to XI during SSL handshake.
Since the communication channel in RWB is in status error with following message:
mail client job stopped completly
exception caught during processing mail message; java.io.IOException: invalid IMAP status response; not finding * STATUS, but 001I NO owa doesn't exist.
mail client job scheduled,
I do not know how to setup SSL for IMAPS. I successfully tested a PING to the Exchange server.
Are there already experiences with Exchange 2007?
What I have to do to fetch mails from an Exchange 2007 IMAPS folder/account with a Mail Sender Adapter?

Hi,
It should be imap and not imaps.
You can try imap://xxx.xxx.de:993/Inbox
Make sure that port 993 is correct. If you have doubt, then you may try 143 which is default port instead of 993 in the above url.

Error in JDBC sender adapter for MS Access

I am working on scenario MS Access(JDBC adapter) to File. I am getting error in sender communication channel -
Error during database connection to the database URL 'jdbc:odbc:Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb, *.accdb)};DBQ=Z:\Database1.accdb' using the JDBC driver 'sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver': 'com.sap.aii.adapter.jdbc.sql.DriverManagerException: Cannot establish connection with the registered driver. sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver returns: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified.

File content conversion - sender adapter for Header and detail records

Hi Experts,
I am receiving a field of fixed length content format.(Header)The first line of the file will follow the structure X having some fields and (DetailRecord)subsequent lines in the file will follow structure Y having somes fields.There is no record identifier for Header and Detail records.In one file first line is Header records and remaining subsequent line is DetailRecord.What are the parameters we have to set for sender file content conversion parameters as i donot have any key field and key field value.And in one file we have only one header records ( first line) and n number of detail records from 2nd line onwards.

Update in JDBC Sender adapter for more than one table

Dear Friends,
I have to select more than one table in the JDBC sender using the join condition. But i found that update statement is also mandatory in the sender comm channel. I am not going to update any flag after the select but as it is mandatory, i have decided to use the following update statement which wont effect the existing data UPDATE <tablename> set flag = ' ' where flag = ' '.
But in my case i have 3 tables, do i need to update stmts for all the three tables.
if yes how can i do the same.
plz revert back i u couldnt get the queries.

where T1 and T2 are tables in the same database,
and the values (value1 and value 2 ) are provided to XI by SAP based on which the flag need to be updated in T1
write a stored procedure specifying the join and call it in XI.

JDBC Sender Adapter for AS/400 DB2 (V5R1) Error

Hi,
I'm trying to create a connection to an DB2 database on an AS/400 (V5R1) server. First does anyone know what JDBC driver I should use for this... I am trying to use the DB2 Universal type 4 JDBC driver... But have a suspicion I should be using the Legacy type 2 which I'm trying to track down with the client. If anyone can give me details as to where exactly I can find this driver it would be very useful???
Currently my settings are as follows:
JDBC Driver: com.ibm.db2.jcc.DB2Driver
Connection: jdbc:db2://10.101.10.9:446/PROTST01
I have verified my user is correct etc... I get the following response in the RWB.
- 2006-01-13 10:54:40 GMT: Error: Accessing database connection 'jdbc:db2://10.101.10.9:446/PROTST01' failed: com.ibm.db2.jcc.b.SqlException: Connection authorization failure occurred. Reason: local security service non-retryable error.
Can this error be resolved or should I concentrate on installing the legacy type 2 driver and trying that???

Mail sender adapter POP server not configured for URL access

Hi Experts,
I have a Mail --> PI --> R/3 scenario and I am configuring the Mail sender adapter for POP3. The issue is that the POP server is not configured to be accessed via a URL and hence the URL pop://hostname/ is causing the following error at runtime:
_1. When I use pop://Fully qualified host name/
_Error: exception caught during processing mail message; java.net.UnknownHostException
_2. When I use pop://IP address of host/
_Error: exception caught during processing mail message; java.net.SocketException: Connection timed out:could be due to invalid address
I am able to ping the POP3 server from the PI server using both the FQDN and IP address.
Can someone please help.

also check mailserver security settings ...
Connection refused occures when XI cannot connect
in most cases so try checking it again , maybe some ports are not opend on the firewall

File Sender Adapter - File overwritting in the Archiving folder

Hello Experts,
I am doing File sender to proxy Receiver Async Scenario.
In File Sender adapter, i am using the Archiving option by spacifying the
Archiving path.
Files are picked up and archiving happen successfully.
Problem is: - once the File is picked up and archivied into the Archiving location
If end user again rectifies some data in the same file and place it in the source directory
then i am getting the following error in RWB Commu. channel monitoring.
Failed to archive file 'File1.TXT' as '/Input File location/File1.TXT' after processing. The FTP server returned the following error message: 'com.sap.aii.adapter.file.ftp.FTPEx: 550 File not renamed. File already exists. You may delete the existing file and then rename.u2019 For details, contact your FTP server vendor.
I know this is because of File sender adapter is trying to archive the file with the same name(File1.txt) in the archiving location.
My Question: - Is there any option to allow the File sender Adapter for overwritting the
File in the archiving location.

check if there is proper rights to over write files in the archive folder.
The problem seems to be that the rights/authorization is not there. Else the adapter usually overwrites files in the archive folder unless you use the timestamp option.
Archive
Files that have been successfully processed are moved to an archive directory.
u25A0       To add a time stamp to a file name, select the Add Time Stamp indicator.
The time stamp has the format yyyMMdd-hhMMss-SSS. The time stamp ensures that the archived files are not overwritten and it enables you to sort them according to the time that they were received.
u25A0       Under Archive Directory, enter the name of the archive directory.
u25A0       If you want to archive the files on the FTP server, set the Archive Files on FTP Server indicator. If you do not set the indicator, the files are archived in the Adapter Engine file system.

How to update two tables in a single call using JDBC Sender adapter

Hello All,
The scenario is, database entries have to be selected from two tables and at the same time those tables have to be udpated with the flag.
We are using JDBC sender adapter and in Select Query, we are fetching the data by joinin the two tables.
Update Statemtent: We can only update one table using this statement.
Is it possible to update two tables using the Update Statement without using Stored Procedures.

JMS sender adapter is not picking up message from MQ

Hi Experts,
I have configured the JMS sender adapter for getting message from Websphere MQ. In RWB the adapter and the communicaiton channel all looking good. The trace file tells me the connection to the queue has been established.
But the problem is this JMS sender adapter is not picking up message from the Queue defined on the MQ site.
Any Idea what could be wrong?

1) Can you activate the JMS adapter again ( edit save and activate it )
2) Check whether the right Queue is addressed.

HTTP Call to SOAP Sender Adapter

Hi All,
I'm working on a scenario where i plan to use SOAP Sender Adapter for receiving Plain HTTP Calls from the client.
The purpose behind this exercise is to have control over the message flow in case of sender HTTP protocol in XI.
I configured a SOAP channel and used the option 'DO Not Use SOAP Envelope'. But when i post the message to the adapter engine using a HTTP client, it fails.
Can somebody guide me in this case.
