  • Open Flash Player context menu with keyboard?

Is there a way to open the Flash Player (9 or 10) context menu with the keyboard?
We are building applications that require full keyboard support, and it is desrable to add some custom items to the Flash Player context menu. However, if keyboard-only users cannot access the menu, we will have to find a different solution.
    thx

Thanks. That's just what I needed to know.
The Mouse Keys method worked fine. I couldn't get the VoiceOver approach to work, but I was just looking for one method.
Too bad none of this is enabled by default. I find Apple's strong dependency on the mouse to be a pain, but I guess they're targeting a market of less experienced users.

  • I cannot view videos in full screen using Flash Player

I currently have Windows 8. I was pulling up some videos to get ready to watch some football games through a website. The video plays just fine until I tried to make it full screen. Then the screen is black but the audio continues just fine.  I've tried all of the fixes that I can find with no luck in resolving the issue. According to Adobe's website, Flash Player is already embedded in Internet Explorer for Windows 8, so I cannot technically "install" it. According to Adobe's website, I have the most current version.
Please help! The game is on Saturday!

Ugh!   This is why I don't use Internet Exploder.  May I suggest downloading Firefox (http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/), and the Flash Player (Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)) for it, and see if it works better? I'll bet it does.

  • Problem with full screen mode in player

    hey,
I am having a problem with my Adobe Flash player in internet
explorer. I am using 2 screens on my computer and I am trying to
switch the player to play on the opposite screen when it goes into
full screen mode. It used to do this, but now I cant get it to play
on the right screen. If anyone has a solution to this I would
    greatly appreciate it.

Make it into a Projector file then put it through FlashJester
    Jugglor

Download a FREE evaluation copy and then
Jugglor -> Setup Settings -> Windows Display ->
    Multimonitor Support ->
    That should do the trick.

  • Full screen windows media player

Greetings - I am having issues trying to open a .wmv file
    full-screen. I am simply using:
    on mouseUp
    baOpenFile( the moviePath & "01.wmv" , "maximized" )
    end
I have made several attempts to at code to make sure it opens
in full-screen, but found no simple solution. I am running dual
monitors and this will open up in the second monitor within the WMP
    - full screen.
    Thanks all -
    bS

Hmmm … maximizing the application isn’t exactly
the same as full screen playback (ie: without all the interface
elements). If you want to maximize the application on a given
    monitor the following might work:
Open media player in normal mode
Use baMoveWindow to place the player on the monitor of your
    choice
    Use baSetWindowState to maximize
You could use baMoveWindow to both move the window and make
it full screen although I don’t think the OS will recognize
    the window as being maximized.
To use Buddy API’s window functions you’ll need
the WinHandle for your media player window … look closely at
baFindWindow and/or baWindowList … these functions I have
used. Make sure you use the window title to find the handle, using
the class is dangerous because there is no guarantee that media
player will be the default player for wmv on any given system.
If your projector is windowed and can be dragged by the user,
and if you want to identify which monitor shares the greatest area
with the projector stage I wrote the following function. Works fine
with single monitor systems. Note that if the user somehow manages
to push the projector off all screens the primary monitor is
returned. I’m not sure what will happen if you call the
function while the projector is minimized (not possible in my use).
I suspect the primary monitor would be returned but I’ve
never tested that, it all depends on what the value of
_movie.stage.rect is when the application is minimized. If
    it’s rect(0,0,0,0) there’s no problem, if it’s
void the following code would need to be modified to check the
    application state first.

  • How do I watch BBC iPlayer in full screen with flash player 10.1

I was able to watch BBC iPlayer in full screen with Firefox. I can now only watch full screen with IE.
Why can I not watch iPlayer in full screen with Firefox anymore?
    == After Flashplayer 10.1 installed

I have tried in safe mode and as expected it makes no difference. I am still not able to view in full screen like IE it just shows a blank white screen. I was able to view full screen with the same extensions before so removing them has not made any difference.
Thank you for your reply anyway.

    Silviu,
Thanks for the quick response.  I had not seen the building-osmf.pdf file before.  Upon quick inspection it seems to be based on CS5 and not CS5.5 and the font issue that I am running into does not seem to be mentioned in the document.  Once I figure out the font issue I'm having, I'll update this thread.

  • How do I get out of "full screen" view. When I put my crusor at the top of the screen I get SOME menus showing, but nothe the "firefox" drop-down where I selected full screed (I was just trying to zoom out, actually)

I think the question pretty well summed it up. I selected full screen mode from the "firefox" drop-down box at the top left, but once in full screen mode, the drop-down box is not available. How do I get back to the standard view??

Press the F11 key to toggle into and out of full screen mode.
Or, move the mouse pointer to the top of the screen and right-click the "+" (new tab) button, or in a blank area of the tab bar, or in a blank area after the address box, and exit full screen mode from the context menu.

  • How do I go from a full screen view back to the view that shows all the toolbars, etc.?

I am using Mac Leopard 10.5.8

  • Flash Player crashes when going into full screen mode

Hey guys! It's basically as the title implies. Whenever I am watching a video and attempt to go into full screen mode, flash player crashes and I get an error window reading "Adobe Flash Player 11.3 r300 has stopped working". As a matter of fact, it doesn't even happen all the time. It happens most of the time, however. It has happened even immediately after searching for and installing the newest version. What might be causing this and what can I do to resolve it? I am using Windows 7 32-bit and Firefox as my browser.
    Thanks in advance friends!

this may be hardware related.  try unselecting  "Hardware Acceleration..."
right click a movie or flash content and uncheck the box in the first tab in Settings.  quit out of the browser and try fullscreen again.

  • Leopard and BBC NewsPlayer - No Full Screen or Menu!

Since I upgraded to Leopard two weeks ago, I've had problems running BBC NewsPlayer: using Tiger, I had the option of viewing with a full screen and there was a menu at the side, which enabled me to jump to different items of news. Neither of these options appears with with Leopard when I'm running Safari; in Firefox, there's no full screen available and although the menu appears, it will not function. I've tried contacting the BBC, but no reply... I'd be grateful for any advice.

    Only options are:
    Navigation
    Bookmarks
    Add-on
    Tabs on Top
    Customize...
No "Menu Bar" option... I am on Mac

  • Menu bar missing in full screen

I have FF 3.6.16,and when in full screen auto-hide mode,my menu bar is missing when I mouse over the top of the screen. It is present in non-full screen mode.I have checked the view>toolbars>menu bar,but this doesn't fix the problem. Other toolbars I have selected are visible when checked. Please advise, thanks!

The default Full Screen mode in Firefox doesn't show the Menu bar.
Autohide has options for exactly what you want to show in Full Screen mode. <br />

  • When I use full screen, the top menu is supposed to disappear but does not, why?

Firefox ver. 3.6.8: A friend was using my computer on the web on Firefox. It was already set in "full screen" mode [F11]. She did something, doesn't know what, but now when I go into full screen mode [F11] the top menu does NOT disappear as it should. You know, you hit F11 and when it goes into full screen mode, the last thing that happens is the top menu "disappears" and NOW it doesn't. Iv'e checked configurations and can't figure out what went wrong or is wrong.
    Can anyone help, PLEASE!!!
    Ellen

    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.fullscreen.autohide
To open the <i>about:config</i> page, type <b>about:config</b> in the location (address) bar and press the <i>"Enter"</i> key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.<br />
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.<br />

  • How to exit full screen mode mail message

Inexplicably, when i open messages in Mail, they appear in something like full screen mode.   The message viewer window is not in full screen mode, but if i open any message, the message takes up the whole screen. I can drag the message in order to see other things on the desktop, but i can't adjust the size of the window to the size i want, and see no way of exiting full screen mode. I lookd in Help, but it only shows how to enter Full Screen, not how to exit it.
In the View menu, there is an option to enter full screen.  When i have the full screen sized message open on top, the enter full screen option in the View menu is greyed out.  If i have the normal sized window for the message viewer window on top, the enter full screen is not grayed out and could be selected.  I do not select it since there appears to be no 'exit full screen' option that i can see and i don't want to multiply this problem.
I know this might be a silly question, but if they have an enter full screen option, why wouldn't they also have an exit full screen option?
Or is there an exit full screen option which exists somewhere that i have not been able to find?  I've searched Apple Discussions and Google but so far have not found a way to un-full screen my Mail messages.  This started this morning.
    Can anyone help?
I do not know how it got into full screen mode.  It was not something i did deliberately or knowingly.
i have tried quitting and restarting Mail but the full screen message mode returns.
How can i get my mail messages out of this very annoying and awkward screen hogging mode?
I have only been using Mail since last November when i got a new MBP with Mountain Lion, which meant that for the first time since 1995, i could not use the simple straightforward faultless Eudroa anymore.  So i have had my struggles with Mail.  Trying to get through it.  This is the most recent of various similar issues, inexplicable problems without apparent solutions.  Sort of Microsoft-like.
I will be really grateful for any help.. thanks

Press Control + Command + F on your keyboard to enter or exit full screen mode.

  • How do I view Safari in Full screen?

I am new to Mac and cant seem to find a way to view Safari and other applications in full screen - is this possible?

    Hi
Welcome to Apple Discussions and Mac Computing
Bee's suggestion gets you almost there, however, the Bookmarks and Tool Bars are still visible. Download/Install 3rd party add-on Glims. Once installed you'll find Glims preference settings as a separate panel in Safari Preferences. In the Full Screen panel, select the various options, then close preferences.
You'll find the Full Screen command in the Safari Menu. Selecting it opens Full Screen. If you want to revert to the normal screen, hover the cursor near the top of the monitor, The menus will reappear. Then select Safari Menu>Normal Screen.
As you are new to the Mac Platform, you'll find this page useful.
