Full software solution, n911g drivers

My printer worked until a week ago. I cannot get it to work again. The HP help software tells me that I don't have the full software solution. I cannot find the disc that came with this printer. I did load the disc that came the same type of printer in my home. Is each printer's disk unique? Where can I get the "full software solution for this product"? I have downloaded the all officejet pro 8600 plus N911g software including the full drivers and updates. I have also installed the assistant software.
Where can I obtain the "full software solution for this product"?

Hello @helphpbob,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus e-All-in-One Printer stopped printing about a week ago from your Windows Vista computer and since than you have had issues with reinstalling the printer. I would like to assist you with this today. Now the HP Installer Disks are unique only to the series of printer. Therefore, if you use another HP Officejet 8600 printer you can use the disk from that printer to reinstall your HP Officejet 8600 printer. With that being said, you can also download the Full Feature Software and Drivers from the HP website, which I will assist you with. Can I please have you run through the steps below to install the latest drivers and fix your printing issue.
Step 1: Uninstall Drivers:
It's important to have a nice clean slate to work with when resolving software and driver issues. Therefore, I am going to have you start troubleshooting by removing every trace of the HP Officejet from your computer.
If using a USB Cable connection between your printer and your computer, please disconnect that cable now.
Click on your Start menu
Select All Programs
Select the HP folder
Select your HP Officejet
Select Uninstall
Follow any onscreen steps to complete the uninstall of your printer. Once the uninstall is complete please proceed to the next step.
Step 2: Clear the Temp Files:
Click on your Start menu
In the 'search programs and files' box located right above Start after your click on it type %temp% and hit enter on your keyboard. The Temp folder will now open.
In the Temp folder select Ctrl + A at the same time on your keyboard. Everything in the Temp folder will highlight
Select the 'delete' button on your keyboard. The Temp folder contains temporary internet files. No actual files or folders on your computer will  be affected by deleting the Temp files. Should a file in the Temp folder still be used than you wil automatically get the pop up to 'skip' that item.
Once the Temp folder is emptied, close the folder.
Right click the Recycling Bin on your desktop and select Empty Recycling Bin
Step 3: Reinstall Printer:
Please click here to download the latest drivers for your printer
Once the website opens select the Download button on the top left
Allow the Download to Run
Follow the onscreen steps to reinstall your printer
If using the USB Cable connection, do not plug in the USB Cable until the installation prompts you to.
Once the installation has completed, please test your printer to verify if your issue is resolved.
Please respond to this post with the result of your troubleshooting. Good luck!

Hey ,  Welcome to the HP Support Forum.  I see that you're unable to install the drivers for your HP LaserJet Pro CM1415fnw Color MFP.  I'd like to work with you on this.  I have some suggestions that might result in a viable setup.   Try the following steps:  Clear Temp Folder:  Open the Run box by pressing the Windows + R keys'.  In the box that pops up type %temp% and hit enter. When the Temp folder opens select Ctrl + A at the same time on your keyboardOnce everything is highlighted in the Temp folder select 'Delete' on your keyboard to delete the files within the Temp folder. No files and folders on your actual computer will be removed. This will only delete Temporary files. If a file is still be used by a program on your computer you will get the pop up to 'skip' the item.Once the Temp files are deleted close the windowOn your Desktop, right click on the Recycling Bin and select Empty Recycling BinNext, run Microsoft Fix it.  Click here to install.  This utility might solve the install problem.  I also suggest updating the printer's firmware.  Connect your printer to the PC via usb (if possible) and click here to complete the firmware update.  If none of these steps are helping, you can do a selective start up on your PC working directly with MSCONFIG to try and determine what, if any Windows service or program is interfering with your ability to install the drivers.  Here's how:   Click on the Start menuIn the 'search programs and files' box right above Start, type msconfig and hit enter on your keyboardWhen the System Configuration Window opens click 'Selective Startup' and uncheck Load Startup ItemsClick the Services tab. Check the box at the bottom for Hide All Microsoft ServicesSelect Disable AllSelect Apply and OKRestart your computer when promptedAfter you reboot, try the install again.  If you're able to finish the setup we can safely assume there is a background program or service on your computer blocking the install. You will need to enable one service at a time on your computer to locate the program that's blocking your printer from printing.   Here's how to undo the above-noted MSCONFIG steps:  Click the Start icon.In the 'search programs and files' box right above Start, type msconfig and hit enter on your keyboardWhen the System Configuration Window opens click 'Normal Startup'Click Apply and OKRestart your computer as prompted.  Please let me know the result of your troubleshooting by responding to this post.  If I have helped you resolve the issue, feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon below and clicking to accept this solution. Thank you for posting in the HP Support Forum.  Have a great day!

  • Hard drive is full software cannot get updated! what should I do?

Hard drive is full software cannot get updated! what should I do?

Here are some general tips to keep your Mac's hard drive trim and slim as possible
You should never, EVER let a conputer hard drive get completely full, EVER!
With Macs and OS X, you shouldn't let the hard drive get below 15 GBs or less of free data space.
If it does, it's time for some hard drive housecleaning.
Follow some of my tips for cleaning out, deleting and archiving data from your Mac's internal hard drive.
Have you emptied your Mac's Trash icon in the Dock?
If you use iPhoto, iPhoto has its own trash that needs to be emptied, also.
If you store images in other locations other than iPhoto, then you will have to weed through these to determine what to archive and what to delete.
If you use Apple Mail app, Apple Mail also has its own trash area that needs to be emptied, too!
Delete any old or no longer needed emails and/or archive to disc, flash drives or external hard drive, older emails you want to save.
Look through your other Mailboxes and other Mail categories to see If there is other mail you can archive and/or delete.
STAY AWAY FROM DELETING ANY FILES FROM OS X SYSTEM FOLDER!
Look through your Documents folder and delete any type of old useless type files like "Read Me" type files.
Again, archive to disc, flash drives, ext. hard drives or delete any old documents you no longer use or immediately need.
Look in your Applications folder, if you have applications you haven't used in a long time, if the app doesn't have a dedicated uninstaller, then you can simply drag it into the OS X Trash icon. IF the application has an uninstaller app, then use it to completely delete the app from your Mac.
To find other large files, download an app called Omni Disk Sweeper.
Download an app called OnyX for your version of OS X.
When you install and launch it, let it do its initial automatic tests, then go to the cleaning and maintenance tabs and run the maintenance tabs that let OnyX clean out all web browser cache files, web browser histories, system cache files, delete old error log files.
Typically, iTunes and iPhoto libraries are the biggest users of HD space.
move these files/data off of your internal drive to the external hard drive and deleted off of the internal hard drive.
If you have any other large folders of personal data or projects, these should be archived or moved, also, to the optical discs, flash drives or external hard drive and then either archived to disc and/or deleted off your internal hard drive.
    Good Luck!

  • How to retrieve full flash solution from WSP if not than how to retrieve ascx files from Template folder in SharePoint 2013 ?

How to retrieve ascx file from the Template folder in SharePoint2013
My issue is, I have WSP only so I changed into zip and got my all web parts and also one dll file after that decrypted dll and got some C# code
mixing with some system generated code but not ascx file that is for front-end part. So my question is how we can retrieve full flash solution if not, at least ascx files So if we were on SharePoint 2010 we could have got those file from __Template__
folder but It’s on SharePoint 2013 and not able to get ascx.
If we can do so, than will be easy to get the task to be done
Suggestions would highly be appreciated. Thanks in Advance.

    Hi Amit,
you can not move specific changes from Dev to production.
but you can follow this process to make your workflow as it is as in Dev:
Create a new workflow on the new list in Product.
Create at least one step, one condition and one action in this workflow.
    1. In Dev server open your .xomal file as XML and copy the entire contents.
2.In Production server Open your .xoml file as XML and Paste the entire contents
    3. repeat this operation for the xoml.rules file
4.Double click the .xoml file for the new workflow to open the workflow in the Workflow Designer and click Check Workflow to verify no errors and then click Finish to ensure the workflow is saved.
Whenever you need to make changes apply the same.
Please Mark Answer and Vote me if it will to resolve your issue

  • Enable/disable second monitor Mavericks - only software solution.

I am looking for a way to disable a second monitor (plugged into the Display Port of a 2011 Mac mini) without unplugging it. Does anyone know of a software solution?
When I am working I like that second monitor for desktop space, but other times (watching Netflix for example) the second monitor (in my case TV Sony Bravia) taxes the video card to much and degrades video playback performance. It would be great to have a software switch to ignore the second monitor. Right now, the only way I have found to do this is to unplug the display port cable from TV.
SwitchResX doesn’t recognize any of monitor or TV in Mavericks, so the app is useless. It would be fantastic if anyone know software solution (I really would like to have plugged second monitor all the time).
    Thanx

I've been using SwitchResX for quite a while, sometimes buggy but very useful: http://www.madrau.com

  • KM Switch (Video not needed) or software solution

*Short version* - I need a USB switch that will allow me to share just my keyboard and mouse with my 3 PCs. Anyone know of one that works good and has that "sniffing" feature as to reduce any USB delay. I tried a 4 port Belkin USB switch, but it wasn't good. I want a KM only hardware or software solution that is convenient and supports my mouse's back button and does not have scrolling issues.
    Thanks for any input...
*More details* - I have a monitor on my mac and a monitor on my xp machine. I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a 4 port, DVI, USB KVM switch. I already have a 4 port PS/2 KVM switch and I am using it for my windows PCs. I am only using the video from it to switch between the windows PCs. I just want to be able to use my Mac keyboard and mouse (logitech) on all my PCs. I first tried using RDP, but I was not able to use the back button and had some scrolling issues that were unacceptable. Next I decided I would buy a Belkin 4 port USB switch. I just returned it because besides being a bad solution, the mouse locked up continuously. I then tried using KMremoteControl, but I am having trouble getting the license to activate (I emailed the company). From what I understand it is a free program, but they still sell it? Not sure what thats all about, but that also does not allow the back function on my mouse. Basically the best thing is for me to unplug the keyboard and plug it into each computer as I use it. Does anyone know of a good switch, so I don't have to do that? One that is compatible with windows of coarse and has a simple method of switching. The Mac usb extension cable was also incompatible with the Belking switch. Not sure why apple makes such a short cable in the first place.
For anyone who has read this, thank you, I appreciate it.

I have figured out why KMremote was not activating. I installed wireshark to sniff the network and I noticed some DNS issues during the activation process. For some reason it didnt like using my Linksys router as a DNS forwarder. I added the direct comcast DNS entries and it now works. I still dont have the back button on my mouse, but this is the best solution.
Thanks and hopefully this can help someone else.

  • Cannot sign with my MobileMe ID in ICloud (PC software), solution?

cannot sign with my MobileMe ID in ICloud (PC software), solution?

    Sorry for not explaining properly.
I use two Apple IDs, one to use Apple store and another MobileMe to access email and iDisk.
When I upgrade to IOS 5, tried to keep the same configuration, which according to Apple support is possible.
I have do migrated from MobileMe to icloud, and have use icloud constantly in browser.
Initially, I was surprised that despite having installed ICloudControlPanel could not log it, but as I was using icloud with browser, was satisfactory.
Yesterday, I try logon with my Apple ID (used in Store) in  ICloudControlPanel, and to my surprise I can sign and all interface of software was avaliable. So I tried to log with MobileMe account in ICloudControlPanel, and I have same problem, dont sign.
Thanks for any help, and sorry for the mistakes in English.

  • Encoding MPEG-s 2 hadrware/software solution?

    Hi guys, and gals.
We've been using FCP to create DVD's for a while now, however we've found that going from timeline to DVD is FAR too slow. Our source footage comes from XDCam HD and imports at 1080i/50 and export to standard DVD settings.
We're aware of the known problem about Compressor not using all 8 cores of the Mac Pro. Also we're aware of the "solution" with regards creating a reference file, however, we have another problem were reference files are taking around 20mins to create instead of the usual near instantanious results.
What we'd like to know is:
    1) Which would be better? A hardware encoding solution or software?
    2) Which would be the best (in terms of speeding up the whole process) out of the software solutions?
    3) any other ideas?
    Thanks in advance.

Thanks Nick, i should have been clearer.
We are currently using fcp and then compressor/dvd studio pro.
And had already run through the Compressor hints you posted.
What we were hoping for is some advice on which hardware encoding system others are using or which software they would recommend.
Thanks for taking the time to post though.

You could try Handbrake, it works quite well.

  • When typing my password for opening my mac everything is normal until I type in any other field, then the keyboard sounds like an old typewriter and is exceedingly slow. Is there a software solution?

Have you found a solution yet?

  • Additional software Solution Centre, IRIS etc

I am experiencing considerable difficulty installing any of the software suppllied with the C7280 driver.
The driver seems to install OK and works but ....
Installation runs until the the 'configuring programs' actions (last item) which goes on for a long time then fails.
I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling numerous times. I have tried uninstalling the individual software items and then running the driver installer and installing the software individually. All say installed OK but IRIS cannot be found, solution centre tells me 'device installation is not complete'.
I have run Print and Scan doctor that tells me no problem with the 'Printer' but the Scanner reports A problem was found with the device registration.
I needed to reinstall the printer etc as some how the printer was reporting it was connected and failed to print but the problem was that the printer was using a different IP address X.X.X.10 and the computer thought it was on X.X.X.7 .  This problem has been resolved.
Also when running one of the HP diagnostic programmes I was also asked to select the printer and it listed 3 Versions of the printer. I suspected that this could be the problem but I am unable the replicate this and only one printer is shown in Control Panel.
    I have a C7280 printer
    Windows 8.1 (64 bit)
    Wi-Fi connected.
Any help would be appreciated .

Hi alanw8888, having 3 versions if the printer could certainly be causing a conflict.Sounds like we need a fresh start. I suspect, removing the driver from printer server properties and doing a complete uninstall will resolve this issue. use the instructions below to perform these tasks.
    1. In the ‘Devices and Printers’ folder delete the printer < Click here for instructions.
    2. Choose ‘Print server properties’.  (Select any printer in the ‘Devices and Printers’ folder and click ‘Print Server properties’ above.)
    3. Click on the ‘Drivers’ tab at the top of ‘Print server properties’ window
    4. Choose the printer you want to uninstall and click ‘Remove’
    5. Choose 'Remove driver only"
    6. The next screen will give a warning, letting you know that deleting the driver package will remove it from the system. Click ‘Yes’ to say that you are sure you want to do this.
If you get an 'In use'  error try restarting the print spooler, then try to remove the driver from ‘Print server properties’ again. If it still won’t remove the package, restarting the computer and printer should resolve this ‘in use’ error and allow the driver to be removed.
After the driver is removed from the server properties we can proceed with uninstalling and reinstalling  the software.
Hold down the Windows Logo key (  ) on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the run box,  type %temp%
Look for, and open the folder starting with 7z (Example: 7zS2356)
    Open folder Util
    Open folder CCC
If you have an HP computer run the L3uninstall.exe. If you have a non-HP computer run the L4uninstall.exe
When the uninstall has completed restart the computer
Follow these steps to reset the registry settings and options for Windows Installer.
Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open  box, type msiexec /unreg, and then click OK.
Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open  box, type msiexec /regserver, and then click OK
Run Disk cleanup from Accessories\ System Tools
Download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
Now we can restart the computer and Download and install the HP Photosmart Full Feature Software and Drivers
Please let me know if this resolves the issue, if you require additional assistance I will gladly help out.
