FULLSCREEN + FLVPlayback problem

Hello everyone,
I've encountered a really frustrating problem recently when switching to StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN with a FLVPlayback component on the stage.
My movie:
bottom layer: a movie clip inside of which is a FLVPlayback component playing a flv movie
upper layer: movie clip (logo), second mc (fullscreen button)
Fullscreen button code:
function doFullscreen(event:MouseEvent):void
    if(stage.displayState == StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN)
        stage.displayState = StageDisplayState.NORMAL;
    } else
        stage.displayState = StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN;
bFullscreen.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, doFullscreen);
Effect (BEFORE clicking the fullscreen button):
everything is okay, the movie plays, logo and button are visible.
Effect (AFTER clicking the fullscreen button):
the only thing that is visible is the playing movie, but logo and fullscreen button disappear.
What happens:
The mc with the FLVPlayback comonent gets the highest child index and covers the logo and button. It is not the problem with aligning logo and button on the stage, as without the FLVPlayback component they are perfectly aligned. I also tried to manually switch the depth of the mc with the FLVComponent, unfortunatelly without any result.
Do you have any idea how to solve this... bug?
Thanks in advance.

Okay, I solved it, sorry for disturbing. If anyone encountered the same problem, what you have to do is change the
FLVPlayback.fullScreenTakeOver
parameter to
false

    can  anyone tell me why this is happening.

    no .. look closely .. you will see that there is an extra border .. and the bottom roght part of the movie is not shown. Compare the image between small and fullscreen and you will see.

  • Overlay Movieclip on fullscreen flvplayback

    Hello
    I'm coding a flash video jukebox. In this movie there will be a small box with subtitles for the flv playing at the moment. The problem is that, when I press the fullscreen button, the text overlay dissapears. I think that what is really happening is that the overlay is "hiding" at the back of the video.
    Is there any way to put this overlay on top of the video so it remains even if I press the "fullscreen" button on the flvplayback component?
    Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Sergio

  • FLVplayback problem, please!

    Hi everybody.
    I have a strange problem.
    So I made an application with dynamical button creation from
    a XML file. Some buttons open a movie clip containing a flv video
    (played by flvplayback). Other open swf files (loadmovie)
    The problem is: If a flv file has been played...I cannot
    click again on the buttons of the menus.....
    Swiss chocolate for the person who can help me!

    I'm not really adept with video matters, but I'll offer this as far as components/objects go.  If you have the FLVPlayback components lined up one after another along the timeline, then you might need to have empty space (blank keyframes) separating them.  Otherwise they may be suffering from an issue Flash has when you keep the same objects in adjacent frames... the latter can inherit the properties of the former.

  • Css shadows/Fullscreen video problems

    Hello,
    At some point I've started to have problems with FF displaying css shadows and fullscreen videos.
    1) Here's an example of how css shadows look like on a variety of sites when openned in FF: http://xmages.net/show.php/2871278_css-png.html . Chromium displays the same sites perfectly.
    2) There's some kind of a problem with the switching to the fullscreen mode. For example at imdb.com when I click the fullscreen mode button - the video itself starts underneath the browser window and can be switched to with ALT+TAB. Again - Chromium works fine there.

    Try to disable hardware acceleration.

  • Flash Fullscreen Size Problem

    So, call me ridiculous, but I use 64 bit software whenever possible because I have a 64 bit OS with 64 bit CPU cores. Naturally, then, I use a 64 bit web browser: Firefox (nightly). This means I need a 64 bit version of flash which is still in a horrible beta flux: http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/flas … 10/square/
    The problem: the Fullscreen functionality of flash opens a new window (good) but with the video not actually full... screen (bad). Pictures are more descriptive:
    I've been seeing this problem for a little while though, and wanted to know if it's happening to anybody else -- especially if they've found a solution.
    And yes, I watch videos about lettuce.

    Ooooooh. Looks like it's some third-party problem. Everyone must be using the same video player library for streaming.
    Ignore this. It's a much wider problem.

  • Flv fullscreen playback problem

    I have a strange problem.In flash CS4 I import a .flv video to stage with one-of-those built-in skins with fulscreen control.I have set"flash only- allow full screen" in publish settings->HTML.Now when I publish the movie in HTML the fulscreen function does not work.The movie goes fulscreen for a moment
    but returns to normal view immediately.This happens in both Google Chrome and IE8.I have no clue what I am doing wrong.Please help.

    I mean sir, when I click on one of the imported videos the video itself covers the entire screen. What i need is when i click the button for video 1, for sample, it will load with the size i manually transform on the stage.. and when the time comes i press the FULLSCREEN button on the "SkinOverAll.swf" that when the fullscreen happens..
    Again, my settings stageDisplayState is FULL_SCREEN and scaleMode is NO_SCALE on the first frame. So, when i go and click the tab for video page it started fullscreen. The problem happens when i started clicking on one of the buttons on the video page, the screen all turns to black.. And when i hit ESC the screen turn to normal and no video is playing.. Tried playing the video, it work fine and press the FULLSCREEN BUTTON work fine too {that's because the stageDisplayState is NORMAL..
    I hope that you could really help with this one.. I have a deadline tomorrow..
    Thanks again,
    YSONG

  • Fullscreen Coverflow problems

    When using Coverflow in fullscreen mode, all the album art appears as a black field with lots of distortions in it. The controls are clearly visible and working.
    It appears to be the same problem that occured after coverflow was released with iTunes 7. Then there was also a problem with the album art. This was fixed in an update released by apple.
    This problem only occurs while in fullscreen mode. In normal mode, coverflow works perfect.
    Does anyone have this problem?

    As I had and have no problems with cover art, I wonder if it wasn't so much that an update fixed your prior problem, but that it was fixed because it was a reinstall (as well as an update).
    Do you undergo maintenance before updates

  • Fullscreen Video Problem

    Hi
    I 'd like to know why when my video is in fullscreen, my skin
    is ugly and so is the warning message "press Escap to exit the full
    screen mode".

    When viewing a video try the following shortcuts to get back into normal view
    1. Half Side - Control and 0 key
    2. Actual Size - Control and 1 key
    3. Double Size - Control and 2 key
    4. Fit to Screen - Control and 3 key

  • Fullscreen/download problems

    Two quick things
    Ever since i upgraded to 3.1.2 i have not been able to go fullscreen, via F11 or context menus (it seems to be missing) was this removed for a reason?
    And also, could an option be added to make it so when you download a file no promts show whatsoever like in 3.1.1. This is VERY annoying and occasionally lags my system.
    Thanks!

    As it says in Preferences > General, "Prompting cannot be disabled for some high-risk file types, including applications. So, the answer to your second question is No.
    For going fullscreen, you can do that via a contextual menu; it has not been removed. You could just as easily accomplish the same thing by clicking on the Maximize button on the browser window.

  • Fullscreen flash problem

    Hello - Here is my dilema: My flash movie is 800x600 with a
    background graphic that extends beyond these dimensions to fill the
    rest of the users screen (this graphic moves around when the menu
    items are clicked - you can see this at
    http://www.sparrowco.com/clients/hotyoga).
    When I publish the file I set the flash to 100% width and
    height and set it to 'no scale'. This seems to work as I intend it
    to, however, my client is complaining that she cannot see the
    bottom of the page and that she is not given scrollbars to scroll
    down to view the segment out of her view. I notice that if I resize
    the browser window to be smaller than the 800x600 movie dimensions
    scrollbars do not appear to allow the user to scroll down to see
    the rest of the page.
    Does anyone have a suggestion to fix this? Is there something
    I am doing wrong or is there a way to force vertical scrollbars to
    ensure that everyone can scroll down the page if needed? I have
    tried many things already that have not worked and am at my wits
    end! Thanks so much! www.sparrowco.com

    I had a similar problem that I resolved. Ultimately i figured
    out the solution from this site:
    http://www.pushhere.com/
    In the source html, you will see that this does the trick:
    <table width="100%" height="100%" cellspacing="0"
    cellpadding="0" border="0">
    <tr>
    <td align="center" valign="middle">
    <div id="flashcontent" class="flash">
    Flash object goes here
    </div>
    </td>
    <td style="vertical-align:middle;">
    <img
    src="img/_spacer.gif" width="1" height="610"
    alt=""/></td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td>
    <img
    src="img/_spacer.gif" width="960" height="1"
    alt=""/></td>
    <td height="1"></td>
    </tr>
    </table>
    Essentially, you have a table wrapped around the Flash
    Object, then the transparent dummy gif is placed to provide the
    clipping area of the flash object. So in your case, you would want
    to set the height and width of the spacer.gif appropriately (like
    800 wide by 600 high).

  • FLVPlayback  problem in Hosting ???

    i m using flvPlyback in player in two websites but in one of the sites its not  working properly, while in the other its working fine. it shows black screen  there

    Hi,
    I think  there could be a difference in the way both the websites have been deployed. Are you sure you can connect to FMS, maybe it is unable to connect and hence you won't see anything playing there.
    You could check if the connectivity to FMS is fine from the network where the website resides.

  • Fullscreen exclusive problems!

    I have noticed that if I set my device to anything less than 640x480, The mouse thinks the screen is larger. You can drag the mouse like a whole 3 inches off the bottom of the screen which should be impossible, any way around this? A resolution of 512x384 really beefs up rendering smoothness.

    2.1.8.5?! Ack! You REEEAAALLLY need to upgrade. There's been about 5 billion driver releases between those and the ones we use now (4.3.4.9). Trust me, once you upgrade, Windows will magically look better, animation will be smoother, and your framerates will be higher.

  • Problem going to fullscreen after loading AS2 movie into AS3

    I've got a loader movie that is written in AS3, and
    fullscreen is enabled. I have a context-menu fullscreen trigger and
    a keypress fullscreen trigger built into the loader movie. When I
    load an AS3 movie or an AS1 movie through the loader movie, I can
    go to fullscreen without problems. When I load the AS2 movie, I
    cannot.
    Does anyone have an idea why this might be? I'm struggling.
    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for your help, but as said ("But also using a
    separated second loader to load the second file is not working.")
    even when using a second loader (with a different name) the second
    file loaded will not work.
    I'm removing any EventListener from the first loader,
    unloading and then nulling it.
    But to me it seems, that the first content is not garbage
    collected and because of that, even when loaded with an other
    loader the first loaded swf-file interferes with the second.
    I came to this conclusion, because the first loaded swf-file
    is still working after trying to load the second file. And just
    more weird: the first loaded file is in the same state and also
    after closing the Flash-Player.
    You can see it for yourself: download the testcase. Start the
    testcase.swf. Load a contentfile. Skip a few pages. Quit the Flash
    Player. Start the testcase.swf again and load the same contentfile.
    You will see it's at the same position like before quiting the
    Player.
    And I can't help, but that seems like a bug to me...

  • FLV in fullscreen Projector file forces background to black

    I am producing a fullscreen projector (.exe) file and have some large videos that cause the background to go black when they come on the stage.
    When I test the movie (not in fullscreen), it works just fine.
    I've tried the solutions offered in these questions:
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/9165659/flash-projector-fullscreen-flv-always-has-black -background
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/324102/non-fullscreen-flvplayback
    ..still no luck

    That's right -you mentioned the fullscreenTakeOver property and there seem to be many mentions of it in other forums as a fix, but I guess I needed a bit more handholding. I tried setting it to false using a few different methods. None worked.
    This did -on the first frame after invoking fullscreen:
    stage.addEventListener(Event.ADDED, onAdded);
    function onAdded(e:Event)void  {
         if (e.target is FLPlayback) e.target.fullScreenTakeOver = false;
    Thanks kglad for pointing me in the right direction.
