Fullscreen Video in an HTML Page

Hello,
I am placing my flash catalyst .swf file into dreamweaver to complete a site. However, the swf contains a video that I would like people to view fullscreen (if they so please). The problem occurs when you toggle the fullscreen on from the video player in the final html based site. The video is cut off from the edges of the div tag that I placed the flash catalyst swf in. The full screen works great when testing the site in the with the html flash catalyst publishes for you in the deploy to web folder, but when put into dreamweaver it the fullscreen is cut off by the edges of the swf file dimensions.
Does anybody know how to have the video player from flash catalyst take over the entire screen when it is embedded in a html document?
Thanks so much,
Russell

Yes, I believe I did. Take the html page that Flash Catalyst publish for you (the one titled "Main.html") and copy that source code over to Dreamweaver. So all the content my site, is from flash catalyst, so this was a solution for me. But you may want to have your .swf from catalyst as a component of your website. In that case, I don't know if this would be a solution.
Hope this helps,
Russell

  • How to embed a swf video into an html page?

I am haing trouble embedding my swf video into my html page. Here is my code:
    <embed height="340" width="549" src="flashvideos/test.swf" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="&amp;MM_ComponentVersion=1&amp;skinName=C:/Users/RogerPa1/Documents/Visual Studio 2008/WebSites/WebSite1/Products/Create/flashvideos&amp;streamName=C:\Users\RogerPa1\Docum ents\Visual Studio 2008\WebSites\WebSite1\Products\Create\flashvideos\Robotics&amp;autoPlay=true&amp;autoRew ind=false"></embed>
When I run the page the place where the flash player should be is blank. But if I right click I can select settings so the flash player is there. I'm using absolute urls for the flashvars because I read in a forum that that's what you're supposed to do. Anyway I am a little frustrated that the video won't play. I tried creating a video with no skin and the same problem occurs.

  • Video playing on HTML page without player?

I have seen a few examples (none of which I have a link for)
    of flash
video that plays on a HTML page that is not confined to a
    flash player.
So the video of a person is shot against a green screen and
    the
background is later keyed out and the the video plays on the
    page.
Does anyone know how this is done?

  • How to show a MPEG4/H.264 video in Flash in an HTML page?

Maybe my title isn't clear. I am hoping someone can shed some
light on the h264 use in flash.
Instead of displaying a progressive download .FLV video , I
am trying to have an MPEG4 /h.264 approx. - a 30meg video display
in flash in an .html page. Quicktime is easy to do, but Flash is my
    goal.
I read several articles on h264 and flash 9, including this
    adobe
H264 article but was hoping there might be an easier and maybe
quicker solution. I did try renaming the .mp4 extension to .flv in
dreamweaver but it did not display the video. (...unless it was
downloading the video completely before displaying...not sure)
There is a ton of sites, blogs and articles on h.264 and how
flash 9 will display it...but when it comes to how one might
actually have h.264 in flash on their own site...I am finding it
    difficult to figure out.
Forgive my lack of action script and Flash knowledge...any
    direction is appreciated.
    Erick

...well I did follow that article on playing an h264/mpeg4
video in flash. It works well, but how would you add playback
    controls?
FLVPlayback component only allows you to source an FLV video
    not h264/mpeg4.
This is probably a simple as3 answer...but I am not
knowledgeable on as3 to know what code to add.
Any suggests or direction that I should look would be great.
In the meantime I am researching actionscript 3 to find and anwer.

'''Try Firefox Safe Mode''' to see if the problem goes away. Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most add-ons.

    * On Windows you can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the '''Shift''' key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.

    * On Linux you can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by quitting Firefox and then going to your Terminal and running: firefox -safe-mode (you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)
    * Or open the Help menu and click on the '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' menu item while Firefox is running.

  • Video won't pause on html page load

Hi, can anyone help me out? I placed an flv file in blank
flash file. then I went to publish it, but when it loads (the html
page its published) it auto plays the flash video. even though I
select "paused at start" tick box in the HTML publish settings box.
    any ideas why?

    Hi murphy14,
Was the video purchased from the iTunes Store?
If it was contact the iTunes Store support from here: http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store/browser/
If it was not, make sure the video is in a supported format or convert it.
The iPod touch supports the following video formats:
+"H.264 video, up to 1.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Low-Complexity version of the H.264 Baseline Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; H.264 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Baseline Profile up to Level 3.0 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; MPEG-4 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats"+
    from http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/specs.html
This article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1211 will walk you through converting a video file in iTunes. iTunes will convert many video formats but the video may have to be converted with a 3rd-party utility.

  • Embed video on HTML Page

Hello, I'm trying to embed a quicktime video on page, but when I open it with Safari on iPad doesn't play.
Do I need to add some video beyond the tags?
    Thanks.

You can use html5 <video> tag. It allows web developers to add videos into a web page without any special plugins.
The sample code for HTML5 video looks like this:
    1
    2
    3
    4
    5
    <video width="320" height="240" controls autoplay poster="video.jpg">
    <source src="movie.mp4" type="video/mp4" />
    <source src="movie.ogg" type="video/ogg" />
Your browser does not support the video tag.
    </video>
You can also use desktop software. I have used kvisoft flip book maker pro software to embed video in html. It is very easy to use. Anyone can use it without programming skills!

  • FullScreenButton in SWF file in an HTML Page

I have inserted a small video as a SWF file into my homepage along with Play, Pause, FullScreen and Mute buttons (loaded from the Flash Components panel). The Play, Pause and Mute buttons work fine. But when I click on the FullScreen Button nothing happens. It won't open the SWF video in a new page at full resolution. Any suggestions?

your embedding html code must allow fullscreen.  if you let flash publish an html file for you and you change your publish settings to allow fullscreen, you'll see what's needed.

  • AIR bug with iOS fullscreen video! (easy repro)

Here's a bug with fullscreen AIR apps not dealing with iOS fullscreen video resize. Easy repro:
    1. Create an mc with a background graphic aligned with the top and bottom of the stage. (This is so you can easily see the bug.)
    2. Add a stageWebView and load an html page with embedded video. (or just load a video directly)
    3. Play video and enable fullscreen mode.
    4. Rotate device 90 degrees while in fullscreen mode and then hit "Done" button to return to stage (exit fullscreen).
    5. BUG: Stage is now "pushed down" and off-screen. (even though the mc still traces x = 0)
Conclusion: the display bug occurs when the user exits the iOS native player fullscreen mode from a different orientation then they started with (common if the original aspect ratio was portrait)
Can someone else please confirm this? (The amount of stage "push" appears to corrolate with the height of the iOS status bar.)
    Thanks.
PS. You don't necessarily need to load an html page. You can just have stageWebView load a video directly and experience the same result.
PPS. I also tried using the new UIWebView Native Extension and am seeing the same thing, so this is really looking like an AIR/Flash bug with the iOS native player.

A simpler summary for this issue:
If the device has been rotated since entering Fullscreen native player, a fullscreen app will be "pushed downwards" and off-screen slightly.
BUG: Adobe AIR app does not stay in fullscreen mode after such and event, ruining graphic UI for fullscreen apps.
Simple workaround: listen for on orientationChange and if stage.displayState == StageDisplayState.NORMAL, set to stage.displayState = StageDisplayState.FULLSCREEN.
However, iOS native player will lose traditional status bar appearance (and risk rejection by Apple??)
Complex workaround (as mentioned earlier) will keep the native player's status bar but result in the app's screen "flashing" upon resizing the stage.
Please help fix this bug by commenting in my bug report. Thanks again.

  • How do I add to the HTML page containing an fla?

    Hi,
My site has Flash Video that plays back in a Flash movie

I want to put html text on the html page containing the Flash

  • Referencing a "locally installed" Java applet from a server-based HTML page

How does one reference a "locally installed" Java applet from a server-based HTML page (i.e. via the applet, object, or embed tags)? I have seen references in documentation that this is possible, but I have not seen any examples. I have tried a few things, but nothing seems to be working.
    Some background...
I'm working on a web site that aggregates Internet video. For many users, I would like the site to work "without" requiring Java to be installed (or any prompts, etc.). This version of the site allows users to stream videos directly over the Internet and does not require any sort of access to the local system.
However, in addition, I have a download manager that can be installed on the local system. Currently, it's a Windows-based "service" that is always running in the background, downloading files, etc. (with plans to later support other OSes).
My dilemma is trying to communicate between my web site running in the local browser (executing JavaScript code) and the download manager. I call this component the "gateway". I need the gateway to be able to do the following:
    1) Pass user credentials from the web browser UI to the download manager (so it can communicate with my servers).
    2) Check the status of downloaded videos
    3) Launch a local media player (such as Windows Media, QuickTime, etc.) (or perhaps tell the download manager to launch the media player).
Under Windows XP, I have an ActiveX control that can do these things. It communicates with the download manager via reading/writing to a shared XML configuration file.
Unfortunately, under Vista and IE7 Protected Mode, ActiveX controls have become very restricted and my gateway no longer works. As such, I am looking at using Java for the gateway (also giving me the additional benefits of supporting additional browsers and OSes).
From my understanding, I believe I can created a "face-less" Java applet, whose methods can be called from JavaScript. Ideally, I'm thinking I could install the applet onto the local system at the same time the download manager is installed. This would give the applet the security permissions it needs to communicate with the download manager.
Thanks for any help and suggestions!

there are three displays in photos page:

    3b) or iphone/ipad slideshow phoneshow.html - iphone/ipad can't do pop-up
it's difficult to know which you refer to.
if you refer to pop-up slideshow then you should not look into iwebmediagrid.js as wyodor suggested.
instead look in phoneshow.html and change width and heigth of element id slideshow:
    #slideshow {
