Functin module return problem.
Hi all,
I have created a function module. I want to export my internal table output.
In the src code of the fn module i have declared itab_output table.and i couldn't export it. If i try to give the same name itab_output in the table tab/export tab im getting the message 'table already declared'.
I don't want to create the structre in se11.
How to do that ?

Authorization check on Function module return values
Hi,
I have a tricky situation. In our BW implementation, many of the FI infoobjects are authorization relevent. One of the objects is 0COSTCENTER. A user has been assigned with authorization profile, in which the user is authorised for COST CENTER = A* and #. All planning templates were working nice.
We were on SP 12 earlier, now we upgraded to SP 20. Now came a issue, the user gets error that user is not authroised for the data. After our analysis, we found nothing wrong as such, so contacted SAP. They came back with a root cause
In my planning function, an ABAP function module is used. The function module returns a COSTCENTER value. This return value is then assigned to a variable, this variable is of type 0COSTCENTER.
SAP said there was a bug in their own design. The bug was, if the cost center value is directly used in planning function for other calculations, it will throw an authorization error. But, if the COST CENTEr value is given to a variable and that variable is used for other calculations, it works fine. Thats why it worked for us earlier.
Now, they have removed that bug, so variables are also checked against authorizations and they said we need to either change the code or give * for the COST CENTER authorization.
So we have a problem. It is not straight forward to give * for COSTCENTER in FI BW implementation. SAP theory is that they cannot say which value the functional module will return. So they will check against ALL the values for COSTCENTER but not the authorised values.
Has anyone seen this issue before? is it only specific to planning function or its just ABAP concept? Any suggesations to come out this problem?Bindu, thanks,
The error is coming at the program compile level itself i.e. before executing the planning group itself. As per the F1 help on forumla editor and from their support, the system reads all the reference data, So when it sees the function module and its export parameter, it captures all the data for COST CENTER as reference data.
Thus even I am sure that the return value will be always authorized, the reference data is checked for the full authorization. Thus its failing -
Web Services from ABAP function modules return values- leading zeros
I am using several web services from SAP CRM (5.0) that were created from Function modules ( I am assuming that that they are in ABAP).
I can call the web services fine and they work as expected, but I am seeing a lot of leading zeros in the return values of fields in tables from the Web service.
The ABAP ers are telling me that they cannot see the leading zeros.
So my question is where these are appended to the values in the whole process. When I execute the Function Module in SAP CRM from transaction SE37 I can see the leading zeros. So I think that this is something that has to be handled by the ABAP ers and not in the client consuming the web service.
Are the functions in SAP CRM that can remove leading zeros for fields in a table (that is an export parameter?)

If you run your (RFC-enabled) function modules using the SAP-GUI (i.e. in dialog) then the GUI automatically replaces leading zero when the function module returns any data. However, calling the same function module remotely you will always see these leading zeros.
These so-called conversion exits are defined as attribute of domains in the ABAP dictionary. If the function module used for the WebService is a standard fm then you have little chances to get rid of the leading zero. Perhaps the WebService has some attribute to suppress conversion exits or activate them when retrieving the data.

"Internal module error" PROBLEM SOLVED ! ! !
At least in my case.
I tried to update my phone (Nokia E50, prod. code: 0536382) with NSU, but I always got the frustrating "Internal module error" message. I spent a whole afternoon trying. After several attempts without any success I accidentally discovered the solution. When the error message appeared again, I noticed, that the small USB icon right below the battery level indicator is gone - so is the connection. How to restore the connection? The NSU says, you should not disconnect the phone, so why the connection interrupts during the update? (I suppose that NSU does the download first and in the meantime nothing happens to your phone. During the download your PC may shut down the USB port to save power. When the download from the internet is done, NSU tries to upload the software to the phone, but there is no connection anymore.) After digging deeply through the Device Manager of my PC, I found an option that turns the USB port off after a while, to save power. That is where the connection goes away.
So, do the following:
1. Go to Device Manager;
2. Under Universal Serial Bus controllers find the USB Root Hub your phone is connected to (assuming you use a USB cable to connect);
3. Double click it and then go to the Power Management tab;
4. Uncheck the option "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power."
5. Disconnect the phone, reconnect and proceed with NSU.
You should be able to update the phone successfully.
Good luck!So far the "Internal module error" problem seems to be connection related.
Make sure, you have the Nokia Cable Connectivity Cable driver installed (the later the version the better), if you are using a cable. You may check it out in the Control Panel->Add or Remove Programs.
You also make sure you enter the right Product Code when asked. The following link may help you clarify the fog around the firmware version number:

It seems there are several versions. Check out the differences and upgrade only if you need it.
As for the USB, in Device Manager got to Universal Serial Bus controllers, and double click every USB Root Hub. On the Power tab you may see the all the devices connected to the specific USB port. Let me know, if you find something out. Cheers. -
Carrier return problems within calculations
Hi everyone
Carrier return problems.
I work with Numbers with Excel users, so I'm a victim of Excel.
In my calculations I'd like to make carrier returns.
As I understand it:
Numbers understands: CHAR(8232)
Exel understands: CHAR(10)
Does anyone know of a CHAR() which both applications understand?
Or
Does anyone know of a calculation, so I can save it in Excel format troublelfree.
The problem is, if I use the CHAR(8232) in an export of Excel the whole calculation is gone and only the product is left.
Any input would be helpfull.

JakobNumbers' CHAR function accepts numbers 32 and higher, except 127
Excel's accepts the numbers 1-127
The only solution I can think of is an error check. In Numbers, 8232 will be used. In Excel, 13 will be used:
IFERROR(CHAR(8232),CHAR(13))
Note: I used 13 instead of 10 because 10 didn't seem to do anything for me in Excel. -
HI I was working with the SM-ES2-24 Module and found that the ios was corrupted. I uploaded the new ios and was trying to boot it from the new ios.During change the boot system command the command was accepted but during booting, there was an error. and the Module went through rommon mode.
I had no other choice but to use xmodem. during uploading the new image using xmodem the module hanged and I had to restarted the module.
After that I m not being able to upload the new image. Even im not getting the console of the SM-Es2-24 module.
Probably the flash is corrupted. the show inventory shows the Module but CDP neighbors shows no output.
Need a solution for this problem. Can any one please advice ????Hi

Hello.
I've written a stream module and push it under IP module(just over ethernet driver). I can load it sucessfully by "modload". Also I can unload it and view its information. But I can not push it by my user application. The related code is:

: Invalid argument "
If I change "modtest" to "bufmod"(solaris buffer filter module), it will succeed.
What is the problem. Any help will be really appreciated.

Invalid Argument return from. The error code is returned
by the findmod() of the streamio subsystem. It looks like
the system doesn't recognize my module. Could you
share your answer? It will be very appreciated.

Master Detail module returns to Master page after Detail record saved
Using Oracle Designer Editor version 10.1.2.0.2 I have generated a Web PL/SQL package
set up as a Master/Detail where the Master and Detail records appear in separate windows.
The Master window contains multi-records each with a link to the related Detail records.
The user clicks on the Detail link and the window that appears will allow the user to insert
a new Detail record. Once the user clicks the Save button I need the Detail window to disappear
and the focus returned to the Master records preferably after a new query is performed.
What are the steps I need to perform to navigate back to the Master page and close the Detail
page?

MarkThe simple answer is that to do exactly what you want would take some fundamental changes to the way the framework works. The actionInsert procedure does what it does - it saves the changes and redisplays the form. You can do post-generation changes to make it do something else, like return to the Master, but I'd advise against it.
But if you want a way to return to the Master window, where the user clicks a button or link on the detail form after saving changes, that we can do. Just make a note of the URL that does the initial display of the Master page - probably my_module_name$.startup. Go into the detail module component, and click the User Text tab. Then at Text Location, "Bottom of View Form" (or Top if you want the link there) add for a link:

An alternative to my method is to define an Action Item in the module that does a navigation. I often am linking directly to the View form for a master table, rather than a record list, as you are, and Action Items don't work well for that, but one might work fine for you. -
Zend AMF Data Service Return Problem
Hi Folks,
I am working with FB4 and Zend AMF/PHP and MySQL. I began integrating the PHP stuff using the great article by Mihai Corlan called 'Working in Flash Builder 4 with Flex and PHP. I followed all the steps exactly, aside from creating my own app-specific PHP classes and functions, etc... I 'hooked up' the Zend stuff just like the article, created a text datagrid, just like the article, and viola!, it worked. I then tweaked it a bit and interwove it into my 'real' component. So far, so good.
Then I created a second PHP class with a different 'get data' type of function. It queries a different table in MySQL, but is essentially the 'same' as the query/function in the initial PHP class.
In FB, in the Data Services window, I choose the 'Connect to Data/Services' function, just like the first time. I then find/select my PHP class file and FB 'interrogates it' enough to show me the function that exists in the class. I 'finish' the operation and it adds a new 'service' to the list of services in that window. Again, so far, so good.
The problem comes when I try to 'test' the service or 'configure return types' (which basically requires a 'test' operation anyway). I can enter the 'input' params just fine, but when I try to execute the call, I get the following error:
InvocationTargetException:There was an error while invoking the operation. Check your operation inputs or server code and try invoking the operation again.
Reason: An error occured while reading response sent by server. Try encoding the response suitably before sending it. e.g. If a database column contains UTF-8 characters then use utf8_encode() to encode its value before returning it from the operation.
I don't know where to go after this. Again - the 2nd PHP class is essentially identical to the 1st. The function in it is essentially identical, differing only by the input params, the name of the function and the actual SQL it sends to MySQL. There is no special text, no special characters, no image stuff, nothing. I do not 'encode' the results of the function in the first class - in fact the code in the second class is practically identical to the first. I do not know what the error is talking about. My guess is that it's more of a generic message.
I can debug the PHP code just fine from within a seperate instance of Eclipse. The function runs/returns just fine - an array of PHP-defined objects (simple strings).

I checked the mySQL my.ini file, and there was already an entry for:
[mysql]
default-character-set=utf8
I added the 'default-collation=utf8_unicode_ci', like you suggested, but that didn't do anything.
I checked the Apache httpd.conf file, and added the following line 'under' the "DefaultType text/plain" line:
AddDefaultCharset UTF-8 but that did not do anything.
I checked my mySQL database, all the tables involved. They were already at UTF-8 (default). However, some of the 'varchar' columns were defined as 'latin 1-default collation'. I changed them all to utf-8 (default table collation), but that did not help either.
Finally, I found the problem, though I don't really know if it is "my" problem, or ZendAMF's problem, or Adobe's problem.
It turned out that 'some' of my data had a 'bad' character in it. Specifically, I had 'copied and pasted' some data from MS Word into mySQL Workbench. Some of the data included the 'elipsis' character - you know, when you type "..." (dot dot dot) in MS Word, it replaces the three periods with a single elipsis character. Although PHP could easily query and assemble this data into a nice object array, I noticed that that character showed up (in PHP's debugger) as a 'box' character, meaning "bad character". Thus, I guess, Zend AMF and/or FlashBuilder could not 'bring over' and/or deal with this type of character. As soon as I replace the few instances of that character with three periods, everything began to work perfectly.
So... what to do about this? I thought I was through with silly encoding/decoding of data when I left JavaScript and HTML behind in moving to FlashBuilder technology. Am I really going to have to worry about this kind of thing? Or might this be a bug/deficiency somewhere in the stack?

Since updating iTunes, I can open iTunes, view my apps, music, movies, etc. But when I click on iTunes store I get an error message that iTunes has stopped working. Lightroom 4.1 Develop Module Preview Problems
Hi All,
I have been using LR4 and now 4.1 since beta and subsequently the first release and now 4.1RC. I too have been irritated by the lack of responsivness compared to LR3.6 but in 4.1 it does seem to have improved. BUT the problem I am seeing is that the preview image in develop module chnages to a lower res and muddier looking version as I drag most of the various adjustment sliders, once the slider is realeased the image refreshed to a better resolution version. This happens in all panels from Basic to Detail and even Effects. It is almost as if Adobe are increasing the apparent speed by applying the adjustment to a low res embedded file first and then to the full RAW data in the background. On detailed images it is more irritating that the slow develop module in LR4.0 as it makes adjustments impossible to preview until the slider has been deslected. The same occurs if you select the slider setting digits and advance using the cursors. Very frustrating indeed. I will be going back to LR4.0 and fingers crossed that this is resolved when LR4.1 is reeased in full.
My PC is fairly good, Win 7 64bit with Quad Intel 9550 cpu (2.83Ghz) with 8Gb ram, GTX-260. I have the same problem at work with a dual cpu (8 cores total) Zeon 5365 (3.0Ghz) and 12Gb Ram & Quadro FX4600. The problem does not seem to manifest in the second display preview but this is laggy and obviously not any use for setting local adjustments.
Anyone else had a similar issue to this? I cant find any reference to it on the web or these forums.

Except I moved images to sub-folders and renamed them, from within Lightroom.
After it locked up, it did not show sub-folders in Library and all the images have question marks on them. If I show it where the file is in Explorer, it does not show any changes.
I Imported one folder and it could see the images in the folder.
Some were without any changes.
Some were the final edited configuration, but not change history shows in Develop. It is if it kept an Exported fersion.

Lightroom 2.2 Develop Module Lockup Problems
I have a Windows XP SP2 system with the following specs:
AMD 64 X2 4400+ processor
2GB of Ram
Nvidia 6600GT Graphics (128mB ram)
NView shut off
3D settings: performance
Norton Internet Security 2009 with Lightroom, cache and image file types excluded from scans
The problem that I am experiencing is as follows:
When I am editing an image in the develop module, the Lightroom application will randomly freeze. When the application freezes, the title bar of the Lightroom application window will revert to the blue bar that is the default for the active window within Windows and the cursor symbol will switch to the hourglass and the Lightroom will be completely unresponsive. Sometimes, the problem will clear itself in 30 60 seconds time and the program will become operational again. But, on other occasions it will remain completely locked up and will require a forced shutdown and restart of Lightroom using Control-Alt-Delete.
This problem started with Lightroom 2.0 but occurred infrequently. With Lightroom 2.1 and 2.2, the lockups occur much more often. Also, I have had one instance where the computer completely locked and I had to do a forced shutdown of the entire computer with the power button. When I attempted to restart Lightroom, it complained about not being able to read the database and shut itself down. I started the application again and it came up but appeared to have reverted to an older database backup as I lost all of the edits that I had made during this working session.
I havent been able to determine any specific task that triggers the lock up but I am using the develop module and am doing tasks like selecting another image on the filmstrip, making an adjustment or selecting another tab in the develop pane.
I have updated my nVidia driver to the latest released version as I thought that this might help but I didnt see any changes following the update.
This problem never occurred with Lightroom versions 1.x and my system is very stable otherwise. I treated the temporary lockups as an annoyance but having the database not be readable after the forced shut down of the computer is extremely concerning to me.
I love the idea of Lightroom and plan to stay with it but I need help in resolving this issues. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

XSL and carriage return problem
I'm using an HTML form to get the input text from the user.
The text is stored in an XML file and after that I use XSL transformation
to show the text as HTML file.
The problem is with carriage returns that user has entered.
In HTML file I see
In my java code I tried to replace all with <br> but It sounds there is no when I
look in my XML content in a java string variable.
Any Idea?

Hi,
I m using module pool and i have used select-options in the screen, for that i have definged select-options as subscreen and called using call subscreen... in module pool.
My problem is when i validate select-options im thrown error message and that select-options getting disabled i tried to keep chain and endchain in the module program and that says that it can not recognize the select-options(fields).
any solution for this.
