Function for result of FBL1N

Hi,
I need to know the executed result of the Tcode FBL1N, can anybody tell me?
    Thks.

• Transaction Variant for T. Code - FBL1N

Hi,
I want to create a Transaction Variant for T. Code - FBL1N.
Actually, My requirement is that I want to give a Dynamic Selection "Reconciliation acct-XXXXXX"... After Create  the variant for this, i want to disable the Dynamic Selections Icon. I want both things at a time..
Please tell...
Regards....

Hi,
Even though question is already marked as answered, I think that Pince Kummar requirement was not fulfilled.
Those are the steps that you should execute:
1. Create a Selection Variant:
In FBL1N transaction, enter your required field values, and click on the save icon. Maintain variant attributes as you need. Assign to your selection variant a name beginning with CUS&. With that prefix you specify that is a customer system variant.
2. Assign the created selection variant as default for tcode FBL1N.
Go to SE93 and change FBL1N, on "Start with variant" field select your created CUS& variant and save.
At this time you can notice that FBL1N transaction always begin with your selection variant.
3. If you also want to disable Dynamic selections function, you should create a Standard transaction variant.
Go to SHD0, enter the transaction code name (FBL1N). In the Standard Variants tab enter a name and choose create function. Automatically FBL1N selection image will be showed, click back button to return. In the screen that now is showed, choose "Menu Functions" and enter Program "RSSYSTDB" and gui status "%_00" and click Menu Functions, then in the tree that come out, find and select Dyamic Selections function (%_00->Edit->DYNS), next click disable button and then continue button.
Now you return to Transaction variants maintenance screen. Make sure that in deactive functions list, for Dynamic selections function is only active "For Transaction" check box. Now save and activate your transaction variant.

• API/package/procedure/function for updating physical attributes in Org/Mast

I need some kind of procedure or function for updating the weight, volume, and dimensions in the organization and master items forms. We have almost 350,000 items and I want to update them in batch. Is there an API of some kind for this? I would do a simple update but I want to make sure there's no additional logic necessary (other tables that are updated during the process of updating those fields, etc).
Thanks!

here is for API's you need to check...
You can use Decimal & UOM Quantity API
These APIs are used to handle item decimal quantities:
Convert from one UOM to another
Validate quantities at input time
Validate quantities at display/output time
Quantity Comparison
Get UOM information
For your convenience, I am giving you the API as below:

This package contains procedures relevent to item decimal quantity
processing. This package contains routines to:
(1)validate item quantities based on UOM and decimal precision rules
(2)validate whether the UOM controls and decimal precision rules
themselves are correct based on functionality planned. For reviewing
UOM and decimal quantity functional design details, please visit the
following URL:
"http//apps-us.oracle.com/inv/development/designs_120/
decimal_precision/decimal_precision.html"
But here are a few basics to give background context:

"Item Quantity" -- The item's quantity is described by the item
identifier, the unit of measure (e.g. grams, kilos, etc), and a
number value to indicate the amount in that unit of measure.

"Unit of Measure" -- Units of measure belong to unit of measure
classes(e.g. weight, volume, length, etc). Each unit of measure class
has actual units of measure that belong to that class (e.g. the
weight class may have units of measures like, "grams", "kilos", etc).

"UOM Conversion" --Users can set up conversion rates between UOMs in
them same UOM class, by defining conversions to the base UOM. These
are standard conversions. Item-level intra-class conversions may also
be defined. When doing intra-class conversions, item-level
intra-class conversions are used first if defined, and then standard
conversions are used.
Users can define inter-class conversions. Inter-class Conversions may
also be defined at the lot/sublot levels. For inter-class conversions
sublot, lot, and then item inter-class conversions will be used in
in order. If lot-lvel conversion is not defined, then item-level
conversion is used. A strict hierarchy is imposed.

"TU" -- Trasactable Unit.A UOM may have a TU. This implies
that when transacting in this UOM, any item's quantities will be
forced to be integer multiples of this TU quantity. The TU may also
be declared at the item level. The TU quantity at the item level may
be different from the UOM level TU, and if defined, item level TU
takes precedance.

"Decimal Precision"--Users have a choice of setting decimal precision
at the base UOM for each UOM class. All other UOMs in that class get
get their decimal precisions derived from the base UOM decimal
precision, the converison rate, and TUs, if they are
being used.

"Conversion Rate Tolerance" -- This is a tolerance that may be set
when conversion rate cannot be not strictly fixed. Example:
1 Chicken = 2 pounds (plus or minus 0.7 pounds). This 0.7 pounds is
the conversion rate tolerance. Conversion rate tolerance is only
definable at inter-class UOM conversions, at item or lot/sublot level

History
04/08/99 Mansoor Jafri Created Package Spec
04/26/99 Mansoor Jafri Updated with TU at 3 levels as
opposed to MTU at 2 and atomic at
UOM class level.
04/29/99 Mansoor Jafri Updated document with lot/sublot
conversions. Also, removed
"atomic" as a separate control,
since this can
implemented as a TU at base UOM
level with an integer quantity.
05/03/99 Mansoor Jafri Updated the package with sublot
level control. Also, changed name
of DTU to TU, so that it fits
better in the "process" market.
Also, conformed to BOI API stds.

But when no rows there below code in not working
select max(code) into p_maxCode from cms_codedetails where codetypeid=0;
p_maxCode:=p_maxCode+1;
dbms_output.PUT_LINE('p_maxCode: '||p_maxCode);
result is:
p_maxCode:
How can I handle the this to get 1 if no rows in the table .

Hi !
Max function in yur case returns NULL and then
null + <anything> ... is still null
You can do
p_maxCode:=nvl(p_maxCode,0)+1;
or
select nvl(max(code),0) into p_maxCode from cms_codedetails where codetypeid=0;
Of course if YOU have decide that null in this case can be treated as 0

• Help in using listagg function for more than 8000 char.

Hi Friends,
Need you urgent help in using listagg function for more than 8000 char.
I did the below sample SQL and in "e_orig" and "d_orig" for upto 4000 char it is working fine but I have to use it for more than 8000 char. and it is giving error,
I checked the listagg function is having limitation of 4000 char.
I tried but I am unable to achive this. Can someone provide me a sample example to achive this
select d.dname,d.loc,e.hiredate
,listagg(e.ename,',' ) within group (order by e.deptno) over (partition by e.deptno) as e_orig
,listagg(e.ename, ',') within group (order by e.sal) over (partition by e.deptno) as d_orig
from emp e, dept d
where e.deptno=d.deptno;[ This is my first post, I gone through the guideline for posting a post , and try to go according to that ( I have not pasted here create table and insert as I have used basic table emp, dept for example), please let me know if still I should give this, I will take care from my next post ]
Thanks in advance

Interesting, I didn't know you could do that, but...

You could write some PL/SQL code that does it all for you, but that would involve loops and would be slow.Well, objects are written in PL/SQL aren't they? And presumably there'll be implicit looping too? So it's not at all obvious that this method will be faster than doing the joining in PL/SQL in memory. The only way to find out is to benchmark them - so I have done that.
I noticed that OP's ref cursor actually only ever retrieves a single record for a bound department number, so I decided the best thing would be to test using a procedure that passes an output string back. I selected all (109) employees and put spaces in to ensure above 4000 characters. I also noticed that as he is using PL/SQL he probably can use a VARCHAR2 type, but just not ListAgg in the query, so I wrote short procedures as follows:
SimpleAggChr     - bulk collect and array processing, VARCHAR2 output
ClobAggPrc     - the custom aggregation method, CLOB output
SimpleAggClob     - bulk collect and array processing, CLOB output
I then wrote a driving script that calls them in the order above and times each call (I like benchmarking so I have my own timing object to make it easy). I then print the lengths for checking, and my object writes the timings to my output table. Running a few times I got varying results, but generally it looks like there isn't a lot to choose between them for performance.
Here's the procedure code:
CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE char100_list_type AS TABLE OF VARCHAR2(100)
CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE SimpleAggChr (x_out OUT VARCHAR2) IS

• Any RunningApplications-like function for non-windowed processes?

Am I missing any RunningApplications-like function for non-windowed processes like Unix executables? To start with I'd settle for processes in user-space but would ultimately like to list processes like Activity Monitor does. Even comparing RunningApplications results to user space Activity Monitor results will show the difference.
As far as I can tell you need to go all the way down to kauth and kernel space to watch for non-windowed processes being launched. Is there somethig in-between I'm missing? A notification device about launching apps would be perfect if it cover all processes.
Thanks,
=Tod

I think kqueue may be able to do what you want. Look at the EVFILT_PROC filter. You may have to watch a number of processes - perhaps all of them. But that would tell you any time you get a fork and whenever a process is reaped.
I looked at kqueue at it does what I want but you need to register it on a by process/file basis which is great for a very specific set of things but not for overall system watching. (I also looked at fsevents but it is designed as a post-event notification system.) While NSWorkspace has the usual Cocoa model notifcation willlaunchApp, didlaunchApp, etc it seems that you need to get the kernel to watch the launch lifecycle of non-windowed functions.
I actually did manage to get a comprehensive list of running apps out of parsing sysctl output with much less trouble than I expected. So far I have managed to get the pid, uid and abbreviated processname and the list seems to match the Activity Monitor list - at least at this testing printf stage. Getting the username from uid should be trivial and the full file name is doable it just requires some struct length and offset math. I'd like the launch path information but I can live without it for monitoring purposes if I can't figure out how to get it.
This means that the monitoring part of the running system seems relatively straight forward - wrapping the call in an NSTimer and watching for changes in the returned results. But the watching of the actual starting and stopping of all processes remains some deeper work.
Thanks for all the suggestions,
=Tod

• How can I use FlexMotion vector move function for cartesian coordinate system to other coordinate.

I have problem with convesion from cartesian coordinate system to other one. I need use standard move function for example blend to moving 2 arms manipulator. What i need to do?

The vector move will probably not give the results you are looking for. The vector move calculates the trajectory based on unit vectors in cartesian space. For a 2 arm robot (ex. 2 rotation joints), you would be able to move from point A to point B as desired, however the path would not be a straight line. The path may also not be suitable for the mechanism, which could cause a collision or maybe a singularity.
The best solution is probably the contour move. You can use the inverse kinematic routine you wrote and send the results to a contour move. Contour moves are a little more complicated to use than the simple one axis or vector moves, however they are also much more flexible. I do not know of any functions already written for your system,
but it sounds like you are already on the right path.

• Partner function for sales contract

Hi
I have to extract Sales related data from SAP R/3 to BW.
Facing issue if someone just changes partner function for Sales contract as they are not captured in any of the standard extractors.
If there is change in partner function for Sales order then it gets captured in 11 vascl but if its for contract then it doesnt get capture.
Any solution ?
Regards,
monika

Hi ! Ivy
I guess there is a option.
Try this out. Use the menu path IMG> Sales & Distribution> Sales> Lists> Set updating of partner index
In the resulting screen, click on 'New Entries' make entries 0 - for sales orders and 4 - for contracts as transaction group. Under the column 'partner function' ener the partner function for which you want the report and save your entries.
Now when you go for executing your report, click on the push button 'Partner functions' ( Say in VA05) , you will have the option for selecting the new partner functions , select and execute your report.
Provide your feedback.

• Search function for Product description in shopping cart

Hi,
We are using SRM 5.5 version. We have a problem when we are searching the Product with the Product description.
Shop -> Create Shopping Cart -> Internal Goods/Services
Enter a pattern between the stars such as
*cap*
and then Click Start.
System is not restricting the search output with the pattern
*cap*
. Instead it is displaying all the Products and search is not getting restricted by the search function.
When I was searching for an OSS note to fix this issue, i found the note(1322462) to fix a similar issue with the Product ID.
Do we have any SAP note to fix the issue with the Product Description? Please guide me.

Hi Muthu,
Current service pack  is SP 13(SAPKIBKT13).
I believe this SAP note 1322462 can resolve the issue with search function for the "Product ID". I will implement this note and let you know the result.
Do we have any SAP note to solve the issue with the search function for "Product Description"?

Hi Makrand,
Thank you for your Valuable reply. Actually I am looking Specifically for the Revenue Recognition functionality in Cloud computing Business Scenarios. Like the income has to be recognized over the period of time on the basis of service provided. And it should calculate Percentage of completion for calculating revenues and Cost and how much profit it has to be recognised over the period.
These functions will possible through Result Analysis method. but i have very limited knowledge about RA method.
Can you please explain in general how Result analysis method will work and if possible with necessary configuration.

• Request for Test on Mac: Wrapper function for LrTask.execute

Hi,
I've written some basic wrapper functions for LrTasks.execute to handle spaces. I've tested that stuff with windows xp and exiftool and would like to ask you to test it for mac os and perhaps win 7 with whatever command. Is that possible?
http://www.daten-transport.de/?id=sZM3EuEEpwx7
In the zip file you will find the basic classes and some description but no info.lua or a special test script (sry for that). You can call it like:
         local args = {"-@", inputFileName, imageFileName}
         local redirect = {}
         redirect.stdout = LrPathUtils.getStandardFilePath('temp') .. "exiftool.stdout"
         redirect.stderr = LrPathUtils.getStandardFilePath('temp') .. "exiftool.stderr"
local result = LZA_System.execute(pathToExiftool, args, redirect)
         logger:info("result.formatedCmd: " .. tostring(result.formatedCmd))
         logger:info("result.returnCode: " .. tostring(result.returnCode))
         logger:info("result.success: " .. tostring(result.success))
         logger:info("result.stdout: " .. tostring(result.stdout))
         logger:info("result.stderr: " .. tostring(result.stderr))
Example is not runable!
Kind regards
LZA

Link did not work for me: http://www.daten-transport.de/?id=sZM3EuEEpwx7 - not sure the problem since i dont speak the language.
But, I can tell you that you need an extra pair of quotes around the thing for windows that must be omitted on Mac.
reference link - known to work on all versions of windows, plus mac - Although it has survived a few different executables so far, I had some issues executing dos batch files with it.
PS - I plan to update the executeCommand method to separate stdout & stderr when appropriate - thanks for the idea.

Have you ever think why oracle has given function for last_day but no function for first.....
I u think this question u will get the answer of your "first day finding " question.
Because first day is alwasy 01 of every, while last day can be 30,31,29,28.....
Got my words ........
One more solution from my side,,,,
SQL> select '01' || to_char(sysdate,'-MON-YY') from dual;
'01'||TO_
01-SEP-09Which is a completely poor way of doing it.
Using TRUNC or LAST_DAY(..) + 1 will return a DATE datatype result.
Your method is converting the DATE into a VARCHAR2, which then prevents further processing/date based calculations unless it is explicitly converted back to a DATE again.
The reason Oracle hasn't provided a FIRST_DAY is because the TRUNC function already caters for it as this works with DATE's as well as NUMBER's, not because the first day is always 1.

• Grouping functionality for Bid Invitations.

Is there any way to group external requirements to Bid invitations.

Hi,
When you press the Submit to Grouping button in the Carry Out Sourcing option ,report BBP_SC_TRANSFER_GROUPED must be executed.
Read the Documentation given in the report BBP_SC_TRANSFER_GROUPED .
Short text
Automatic Grouping of Requirements for POs and Bid Invitations
Purpose
This report groups together requirement items to which a valid source of supply has been assigned (for grouping into purchase orders) and whose product category has been enabled for grouping (sourcing option in Customizing).
In cases where assignment is automatic, the system sets the requirement as Transferred to Grouping.
In cases where a source of supply is assigned manually, the purchaser has to choose the function Transfer to Grouping in the sourcing application for the requirements.
You should schedule this report periodically, and make sure that the report is run separately for each document type (purchase order, bid invitation).
Prerequisites
You have assigned each relevant product category to a sourcing option for grouping, for example, Automatic Grouping, Sourcing for Item Without Assigned Source of Supply.
For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Supplier Relationship Management: SRM Server -> Sourcing -> Define Sourcing for Product Categories.
Features
Report BBP_SC_TRANSFER_GROUPED provides the following functions:
For automatically grouping requirements into purchase orders:
It selects all requirements that have a unique valid source of supply, and have been set up for grouping. You can use selection criteria to further restrict the requirements that are selected.
It groups requirements by vendor. In other words, it groups together all of the requirements that can be sent to the same vendor.
You can use a Business Add-In (BAdI) to make additional groupings. If the standard system groups together certain requirements, but you want to create them in separate local purchase orders, use the BAdI BBP_GROUP_LOC_PO for this purpose.
Note that there are some limitations to creating purchase orders this way. For example, it is not possible to group together requirements with different vendors in the same purchase order. This report uses the same differentiation criteria as the sourcing application (for example, business partner, company code, product type).
It uses function module BBP_PD_PO_CHECK to check the assignment to a source of supply. The report passes on requirements to function module BBP_PD_SC_TRANS_MULTI_LOC_PO, where they are grouped, and converted into a purchase order.
In a production run (that is, not a test run), the system issues error messages to the Application Monitor. Example: A contract item assigned during sourcing is no longer valid when grouping is about to occur. This error appears in the Application Monitor. The system moves the requirement item to the worklist of the sourcing application.
The Application Monitor assigns errors to one of the following categories:
Shopping Cart: Automatic Grouping
Purchase Order: Automatic Grouping
If necessary, you can copy this report, and change the selection criteria to suit your needs. You can start the report in test mode.
Note: In the sourcing application, you can determine which requirements are planned for the next report run by choosing Find -> For Grouping.
For automatically grouping requirements into bid invitations:
It selects all requirements that have been set up for grouping. A source of supply is not required. You can use selection criteria to further restrict the requirements that are selected.
You can use the BAdI BBP_TRANSFER_GROUP to take bid invitations that have been grouped by the system, and then split them up on the basis of your own customer-specific criteria. You can use the BAdI BBP_SAVE_BID_ON_HOLD to determine whether or not a bid invitation should be published automatically.
The report passes on requirements to function module BBP_PD_SC_TRANSFER_MULTI_RFQ, where they are grouped, and converted into a bid invitation.
In a production run (that is, not a test run), the system issues error messages to the Application Monitor.
If necessary, you can copy this report, and change the selection criteria to suit your needs. You can start the report in test mode.
Note: In the sourcing application, you can determine which requirements are planned for the next report run by choosing Find -> For Grouping.
Output
The report displays the purchase orders or bid invitations resulting from the grouping of the requirements. It also shows incorrect requirements that the system was unable to group into a purchase order or bid invitation.
