Function Module to validate a value against domain fixed values

Hi,
Could anybody please let me know if there is a standard Function Module that takes a Value and Domain name as an input and checks if the input value exists in the Fixed Values of the domain.

Hi,
you can use fm FM_DOMAINVALUE_CHECK. Pass parameter values for I_DOMNAME and I_DOMVALUE.
If the value is invalid, exception VALUE_NOT_ALLOWED will occur.

Hi all,
can you please provide me the name of the function module to validate input value.
I have a case where i have to validate decimal values. sometimes users may enter wrong decimal values by mistake instead of "0.23" "0..23' and it gives CONVT_NO_NUMBER runtime error so have to come up with some solutions to validate user input.

Is there any RFC function module to read domain fixed value

Hi,
Is there any RFC function module to read domain fixed value from remote system in basis layer?
As we cannot simply wrap DD_DOMVALUES_GET with a new RFC module,because remote system will not install our component, our wrap function module is not there.
We may need a RFC fm from basis layer.

Function module to validate numeric values

Hi all.
Can some one please tell me Is there any Function Module to validate only numeric values?
Like in year variable, it can never contain alphanumeric values or special symbols?
Is there any function module to check, wheather the variable contains only numeric values, no alphanumeric value or special symbol?
If there is no as such function module then what is the alternative approach we can take?

Function Module to Lock a Variant or see variant values in Disabled mode?

Hi,
I have a requirement in which I create some jobs which takes some variant as one of the input.
My Problem is once i have executed the job successfully in SM37, I need to see the variant values. I know there is a function Module RS_VARIANT_CHANGE with which we can see the values of variant.
But i dont want the user to modify those values since the job has already been executed. I just want to see them.
Can anyone tell me is there any FM to see just the variant values in disabled mode or the the variant is locked so that the user cant modify it?

I'm not sure if you really want to create a program to see the variant values?
Because you can see the values by simply going to SM37, select the job, display list of steps, position cursor and use menu Goto -> Variant
Moreover, (I don't know if it may answer your requirement) when you schedule a job with a report which outputs an ABAP list, you may define in the print parameters the option "Selection cover sheet" to print the values of selection screen parameters/select-options.

API - BAPI , RFC Function module to validate user id and password

Use function module SUSR_CHECK_LOGON_DATA. You need to provide auth_method (P for password check), userid and password.
Be careful when you execute the function in test mode because it converts the input into upper case hence if you have lower case characters in your password it will return with invalid password. If you pass the lower case into the function in a program everything is fine.

Checking domain fixed values

I have a screen field in a dynpro where the domain has a fixed value range. The values shows up in the F4 help, but I can't figure out the best way to validate it in the PAI short of hardcoding, which I'd like to avoid.
Take for example a domain with possible values 'A', 'B', 'C', '1', '2' or '3'. These values pull through to the search help but I also need to validate manual user input against this list.
I understand the DDIC attribute for a screen element can do this, but that's not an option in this case as the name of the field does not match the name of a dictionary field. Any other suggestions?

If this field should only contain values from the domain fixed value range, why don't you make it into a drop down listbox field? This would make manual input impossible and all they can do is select values from the drop down list.

Hide domain fixed values for future use

We have a custom domain with 7 fixed values.These Fix values will display if we click on f4 help in the screen.I dont want 4th value and 5th value in the f4 search help button.whether it is possible to hide those values for future use. if we delete the fix values from the domain fixed value list..then it is effecting the past data.Please help me on this.

Use FM : DDIF_DOMA_GET to get the fixed values for that domain in an internal table, then you can process that internal table according to your requirement and display only those values, in AT SELECTION_SCREEN ON VALUE_REQUEST event in the report.

Value mapping: Where we maintain a table of values which are mapped.
based on the incoming value we can send the respective resultant value.
for Eg: for language SAP maintains as EN --> English etc

I am trying to import price list lines along with Pricing attribute values.
I have to validate the uploaded values against the pricing attribute value set, before I import them into base tables.
Value set defined is of type table validation.
I wanted to know if there are any public APIs that can be used to validate the value against the Value set values within my PL/SQL procedure

You can find functions and procedure for Value sets in packages FND_FLEX_VAL_API or FND_FLEX_VAL_UTIL.
Example : get_table_vset_select gives you the select statement of your value set. Executing this statement will allow you to validate your values.

Hi,
Using custom ROUTINES in requirement column of pricing procedure (V/08) we can activate/deactivate any condition type in sales order. For your requirement you have to define the exact logic to write in routine.
n routine, you need to set the SY-SUBRC value.
If SY-SUBRC = 0, then the condition type will be triggered in sales order.
If SY-SUBRC = 4, then the condition type will not be triggered in sales order.
