Functions of Sales Organization ?

I am an ABAPer, I would like to know different Funtions of Sales Organization and if possible complete  Sales Area.

Sales organization is a legal entity where all G/L accounts ,daily transactions takes place
Functions :
Sales orgn is assigned at company code level .It can have more that 1sales orgn assigned to a single company code.
Sales orgn is assigned to distribution channel , division which makes a sales area
Sales orgn is assigned to dist channel and plant

  • Default ATP check for sales organization - which function?

    Hi all.
    If you for a particular sales organization make the settings in customizing, that all ATP checks should default be "Delivery proposal" for example, which function module is then checking this in sales order creation? I would like to do some debugging, but I cannot find any ABAP program/function module where this is being checked?

  • No manual entry in PR00 in case of Sales organization 5000 or 6000

    My requirement is that eg if Sales organization is 1000 then user can enter PR00 amount manual while creating Sales Order
    IF is it 5000 or 6000 then PR00 will not allow any manual entry while creating Sales order

    Hello,
    I am not sure but still you can try out the setting in the pricing procedure itself. Please navigate through the path as cited below:
    SPRO setting ---> Sales And Distribution ---> Basic Function ---> Pricing ---> Pricing Control --> Define and Assign Pricing Procedure.
    In the defination section where all the condition types are arranged for a Pricing Procedure, you can include a Routine in calculation type for the Condition Type PR00.
    Seek the help of ABAPer and put the logic as when the Sales Organsiation(VKORG) is 1000 then the Automatic determination should not be considered and Manual entry will be accepted.
    Kindly let me know the result of this exercise.

  • Pricing procedure assignment to sales organization

    Hi Expert,
    One particular pricing procedure is defined and assigned to particular sales organization in table T683V. I have assigned same pricing procedure to another sales organization which is now reflecting in that table. When i am trying to create sales order for newly assigned sales organization, it is not showing condition types for that particular sales order in conditions tab for that particular material. Can you please tell me why this is happening & what would be the solution for this ?

    In Sales & Distribution - Basic Functions - Pricing - Pricing Control - Define and Assign Pricing procedure,you can define your pricing procedure to Sales Organization,Distribution Channel and division level.You can't define on sales organization only.

    Definition: </b>The sales organization is an organizational unit within logistics, that structures the company according to its sales requirements.
    <b>Use: </b>A sales organization is responsible for the sale and distribution of goods and services.
    It represents the selling unit as a legal entity. It is responsible for product guarantees and other rights to recourse, for example. Regional subdividing of the market can also be carried out with the help of sales organizations. Each business transaction is processed within a sales organization.
    The sales organization must be specified in all sales documents. It is therefore available for all basic functions of SD (such as pricing, availability, etc.).
    <b>Structure: </b>A sales organization can be subdivided into several distribution chains which determine the responsibility for a distribution channel.
    Several divisions can be assigned to a sales organization which is responsible for the materials or services provided.
    A sales area determines which distribution channel can be used to sell the products from one division in a sales organization.
    <b>Integration:</b> Each sales organization is assigned exactly one company code for which you enter all accounting details of the sales organization.
    A distribution chain can be active for several plants and the plants can be assigned to different company codes. If the sales organization and plant are assigned to different company codes, an internal billing document is sent between the company codes before the sales transactions are entered for accounting purposes.

    I am Sending data using RFC function module, within a report program.
    Now according to functional requirement I have to create two batch job scheduling scenarios:
    1. Provide a batch job to be run towards month end (2X, 1X) to sent a delta record message using Report.  This is scheduled on demand or requested on demand.  Recommend 1 message per sales org.
    Q: What does it mean by scheduled on demand or requested on demand?? Second thing is that like we have 10 sales org. and in variants for job scheduling we can assign only 1 at a time......how can i schedule per sales organization? do i need to create different job for each sales organization??
    (2X, 1X) what is the meaning of this notation??
    2. Create a new nightly batch job, run after daily billing batch, to send a delta records message of Report. Recommend 1 message per sales org.

    The Structure of Sales Org, differs from client to client. Its purely client specific.
    But normally the structure containes, Sales Org, Distribution Channel, Division, Sales Group and Sales Office.
    Tolerance groups:
    Tolerance groups represent amounts or percentages by which receivables may be underpaid or overpaid.
    Amounts and percentage values for tolerances relating to underpayments and overpayments of receivables are defined in a tolerance group.
    Business Blue Print;
    Business Blue print is understanding the clinets business completley. While we are implementing SAP to any client, first we have to understand their business completely so that we can map accordingly in SAP system. So, after understanding their business, we will prepare a document called as Busines Blue print. While is nothing but AS Is study.
    Functional Specification:
    To speak at macro level that is at projet manager or at senior levels.  The Functional Spec (Specification) which is a comprehensive document is created after the (SRS) Software Requirements Document. It provides more details on selected items originally described in the Software Requirements Template. Elsewhre organizations combine these two documents into a single document.
    The Functional Specification describes the features of the desired functinality.. It describes the product's features as seen by the stake holders,and contains the technical information and the  data needed for the design and developement. 
    The Functional Specification defines what the functionality will be of a particulat area that is to be precise a transaction in SAP terminology.
    The Functional Specification document to create a detailed design document that explains in detail how the software will be designed and developed. 
    The functional specification translates the Software Requirements template into a technical description which
    a) Ensures that the product feature requirements are correctly understood before moving into the next step, that is detchnical developement  process. 
    b) Clearly and unambiguously provides all the information necessary for the technical consultants to develop the objects.
    At the consultant level the functional spects are preapred by functinal consultants on any functionality for the purpose of getting the same functinality designed by the technical pepole as most of the times the functionalities according to the requirements of the clients are not available on ready made basis.
    Let me throw some light on documentation which is prepared before and in a project:
    1) Templates
    2) Heat Analysis -
    3) Fit Gap or Gap Analysis
    4) Business Process Design
    5) Business Process Model
    6) Business Change & Impact
    7) Configuration Design, which is just 5 % of Total SAP- have different names -
    8) Future Impact & Change Assessement
    9) Functional Design (Module Wise)
    10) Risk Assessement
    11) Process Metrics and Many More-- Which has impact on Business and its work flow

    I inserted the BP value into the Identification Account of ICWC.
    Now, If I go into the interaction record ti asks me the BP Sales Organization with an error message.
    How can I create it in order to avoid the error?

    thank you for your information,
    now, I created the u201Corganizational unitu201D using PPOMA_CRM, with related positions, attributes, functions and so on.
    Then I entered into the transaction BP and I set the new "organizational unit" to the u201CBill-to-party" Business Partner using the button "choose Sales area".
    Now I use the Interaction Center Web Client, I search the BP with the identification account, I confirm the operation and when I open the u201CInteraction Recordu201D tab the following errors take place:
    u201CEnter an organizational unit (Sales)u201D
    u201CEnter a distribution channelu201D
    u201CEnter a sales organizationu201D
    I donu2019t understand what Iu2019m doing wrong. Maybe do I skip a passage?

    Hello everybody!
    I'm just thinking about how to design a reusable component that displays a list of sales organizations (<b>BAPI_SALES_AREAS_GET</b>).
    I want to be able to reuse this list - e.g. a dropdown field - within different Web Dynpro (Java) applications for the portal. As far  as I know I must create a development component in order to achieve this, right?
    Can anybody give me some hints for a good solution? I'm pretty new to Web Dynpro and don't know much about the concept, yet...
    <u>PS:</u> The overall goal is to have a portal application which uses a set of reusable application components for certain functions.

    OK, as a simple start what should I use - Portal Application Module/Standalone, Web Dynpro, J2EE/EJB or Web Service?
    Right now, I'm a bit lost. Would be great if you could give me some advice - maybe a good (and easy to understand) tutorial.

  • Sales organization determination in BP and documents

    Hi All,
    We are using CRM as a standalone system. We have set organization structure with:
    1. In function Tab : we have selected “sales” button. Also selected “sales organization” box with empty R/3 organization. We have selected and entered R/3 DC and Div since these are configured in CRM IMG.
    2. In Attributes tab : We have selected “Obj. permitted in determination”  with following attributes
    Country – India, Postal codes 400000 -500000
    3. Since other attributes such as SA_Org, Tupel, division, Dist. Channel are not present in the attributes tab view, we have entered values in “PP01” transaction against our Org. unit.
    4. We run the “HRBCI_ATTRIBUTES_BUFFER_UPDATE” with necessary selection and found our organization in “Buffer set up” area.
    Now
    A)We do not get Sales Org, Div and Dist Channel in Sales area data in BP. Not in match code and in choose sales area data as well.
    B)We do not see the attributes set in PP01 transaction for our organization in Organization model display for attributes tab.
    C)In documents the org unit is determined correctly. Also, we get Div and Dist channel but NO sales organization is determined.
    We need help in the following:
    1.Please let us know, is there any setting missing and needs to be done to get the sales organization automatically in BP and Documents.
    2.Why all the attributes are not displayed in the Organization structure attribute tabs. Is there any table to be maintained, program to refresh the list? Also why these attributes are not updated in Org unit once it is entered in PP01 for it.
    I would appreciate and award points to the maximum to fast the response since it is critical in our project.

    The indicator is green our organisation and object permitted in determination which helps in deterimining the org unit correctly.
    We have already mentioned in our query that general attributes - Tupel, Div, Dist chan. , Sales org  are not visible in the list of Org. unit and hence entered in PP01 transaction with mentioned FM run for it. Even then the sales area is not determined in BP and Documents.
    How these attributes to be entered directly in org unit itself if not present?

    I think sales org. is not quite right, as there is no sales org. field in the item on the customer's account. Is there any way to select only items with a certain s/d billing document attached or a ceratin assignment?

    Hi,
    Not really.
    There are 2 way you can address this.  SAP provides an enhancement for the "Correspondence" area, RFKORIEX for automatic correspondence.  You may evaluate this, but it may turn out to be pretty useful, as this exit is restricted to the print area.  As, it does contain the customer master tables, you can split correspondence the way you want from this enhancement.
    The second way could be to create a custom selection screen with the fields you want and then feed the data to the main program F.27 using a call transaction.  The output can then again be caught in the custom program and printed. However, as F.27 generates requests, this could be a bit difficult to do, unless you bypass the entire print program.

  • How to get mapping of "Sales Organization" in Org. Model?

    When I go to transaction PPOMA_CRM - Maintain Organizational Model in CRM, and I select an Org. unit and in "Function" tab, I want to maintain mapping of "Sales Organization" and "Sales Office", but when I want to choose an sales organization, there's no entry I can choose, and same for "sales office". I found there's a mapping table HRT5551 which contain mapping information. But how can I maintain this table? Is there any T-code or way? Or I can replicate from R/3?

    at the moment i think they are not available to be used
    to make them avaiable you go to table in SM30

    Check table CRMM_BUT_LNK0141 to obtain the sales area of a BP (by BP Guid).
    If you need the sales office and sales group, read GuidSet of that table and check table CRMM_BUT_SET0140 to list the sales office and sales group by that Guid set.
    There are some function modules too:
    CMS_BUPA_ORGDATA_GET_BL among others.
