  • Numeric value in words (for Cheque printing)

    Hi All,
    To convert numeric value in words (for Cheque printing), I created two functions in Forms and reports 6i.
    1) FUNCTION Spell (val number) RETURN CHAR IS
    sp varchar2(100);
    BEGIN
    if val > 0 then
         return(initcap(to_char(to_date(val, 'SSSSS'), 'SSSSSSP')));
    else
         return('');
    end if;
    END;
    2) function SPELLED_AMOUNTFormula return Char is
    cents number;
    c_str varchar2(80);
    val number;
    begin
    val := :p_instr_amt;
    cents := (val mod 1) * 100;
    if cents > 0 then --creates string for cents
    c_str := ' and ' || spell(TO_CHAR(cents)) || ' fils Only';
    else
    c_str := ' Only';
    end if;
    if val < 1000 and val > 1 then
    return (initcap(spell(floor(val))) || c_str);
    elsif val > 1000 then
    return(initcap(spell(floor(val/1000))) || ' Thousand ' ||
    spell(floor(val mod 1000)) || c_str);
    else
    return('Zero'||c_str);
    end if;
    end;
    This convert value up to thousands. How to convert the value more than 1 lac. please configure this code.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    To spell integers as high as 5,373,484, use 'Jsp' instead of 'ssssssp'.
    TO_CHAR ( TO_DATE ( n     -- n = integer to be spelled
                  , 'J'
         , 'Jsp'          -- Case-sensitive
         )5373484 is the Julian date of December 31, 9999, the latest DATE value in Oracle. In Oracle 10.2, you can actually spell numbers a little bit higher using the expression above, but I'm not sure why, and I wouldn't count on being able to do so in future versions.
    There's no need for INITCAP here. If the 2nd argument to TO_CHAR is initcapped (as above), then the output will be, too.
    To spell even larger numbers, see this page by Tom Kyte, which also includes languages other than English, and lakh-crore-arab-kharab wording.

  • Do we have different Print Programs for printing Cheques in Different Lang

    Hi Peers,
    I have requirement of  Cheque printing in SPANISH Language.
    We have been using Program RFFOUS_C (International Payment Medium - Check (with check management)) for printing Cheques in French & English.
    This same print program does not work with the Spanish Script ZF110_ES_CHEQUE which is copy of French script.
    I am wondering if we have to use a different Print Program (RFFOES_T) or is it the issue with the data & configuration.
    Could you please clarify.
    Thanks in advance!
    Regards,
    Daniel

    Hi,
    Thanks for the suggestion!
    The Print Program set in FBZP is RFFOUS_C  for the country Mexico.
    The Print program works well in Client DCO100 but the same printprogram when used in DCO101 doesn't work for the Mexico script.
    The Mexico script is also a copy from client DCO 100 . In the this Mexico script I have changed the currency & Defined language as 'S' at some places .
    The payments are processed but no Spool requests are generated.
    Thanks,
    Daniel

    In answer to your direct question: An outline level is normally part of a paragraph style in Word. It can be body text, or a heading level.
    The articles listed are about different Windows versions of Word but AFAIK, they apply to Mac versions as well.

  • How to display amount in words in the last page

    Hi,
    I am very new to Oracle Report, but v.good experience in Crystal report.
    How can i display amount in words for an invoice amount total in the last page of the invoice and after total amount. I created a new non repeating frame and put the amount in words inside that, and set the frames diplay property Print on Last Page, but the problem is already there is a repeating frame to print all the invoices item, and the total in figure. But the amount in words frame is not always coming after the total amount,either it should be at the bottom of the last page in fixed position, otherwise it should move just below the total amount.
    I am using Oracle 11g.
    Thanks in advance...

  • Amount in Words (Indian Rupees)

    Dear All,
    I am using SAP 2007B PL 18.I have found out the below mentioned function for converting the amount to words in SDN only. But when i try and create the function it gives error "Incorrect Syntax near 00' . I think there is an incomplete syntax near the SubString function. Can someone please help me on the same and give the correct function.

  • Can I use Word for Mac 2004 to write basic solver/Macros programs?

    I just bought the new macbook aluminum unibody. I am in college and am taking computer programming in fall, I need to be able to write basic programs that utilize macros and solver. I spoke with one mac person who told me I would need to buy parallels, the microsoft OS and then microsoft word for Microsoft OS.
    However, that costs upwards of 200$ for a class I am only going to be taking for 2 months. Someone else has told me that the 2004 version of Word for Mac has macros abilities on it (those that are not on the current version, but that the 2011 version will have). Can I just use the 2004 version? Or does anyone have other suggestions?

    Office 2004 and Other Applications Don't Work in Lion/Mountain Lion
    If you have Office 2004 which is a PPC-only suite, it will not work in Lion/Mountain Lion. You need to upgrade to Office 2011 - Mactopia - or you can try the freeware suite, Libre Office, that is functionally similar to Office 2007 for Windows except it works on Lion/Mountain Lion.
    You may want to consider as well:
    These two suites are similar to Libre Office but not as current or as well-supported:
    NeoOffice
    Open Office
    And, then there is Apple's iWork suite:
    Pages - word processing and layout
    Keynote - presentation
    Numbers - spreadsheet
    Each can open and save Office compatible files. They may be purchased separately via the Mac App Store for $19.99 each.
    As for other software, any PPC-based software will not run in Lion or Mountain Lion because Rosetta is no longer part of OS X. You will need to upgrade to Intel versions of the software.
    (Access to the Mac App Store requires Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or higher and an Apple ID.)

Any inputs greatly accepted,
