G/L Master Record setting not updated in table.

Hi,
This might be very basic question but i am stuck with it. while creating G/L Master data in Control Data Tab there is one function which is not working.  The check "balance only in local currency" Whether i check it or not system is showing balances in local currency in "FAGLL03" when i mark the check box and post to this account in a currency other then local currency which is company code currency and view the G/L Account in "FAGLL03" system translates the  Amount in local currency and shows the balance in same.why is this so am i understanding the use of this function or is there some issue with it?
Regards,

Hi Faizan,
Use of Balance in local currency:
The indicator is usually set for the balance sheet accounts without open item managed, in which no foreign currencies are managed .
When creating a G/L account in a company code, you can decide whether the transaction figures should only be kept in the local currency for this account.
You have to set this indicator for clearing accounts you use to clear line items in various currencies with  one local currency amount and  without posting any exchange rate differences that may occur.
You have to set this indicator "Balance in Local Currency" for the following accounts:
Cash discount clearing accounts
Clearing accounts for goods receipt / invoice receipt
  Foreign currency
  Local currency
Invoice receipt
    1000 USD
    1580 DEM
Goods receipt
    1580 DEM
If the indicator is set, the two line items are cleared.
If the indicator is not set, the system also posts any exchange rate difference as well when clearing. The system then determines the DEM amount necessary to clear the 1000 USD amount. If the exchange rate is 1.60 for example, the system makes a posting of 20 DEM for the exchange rate difference to clear the two line items.
Note: Do not set this indicator for A/P A/R reconciliation accounts.

Javed

  • ADF master-detail master selection not updating detail tables properly

    Hi All,
    I am using JDev version : 11.1.2.0.0
I created new Fusion Web Application Module. In that module I created a master-detail data model and added them to a page fragment with a query panel. When I run it as a separate module, It works perfectly and Master selection correctly updates detail tables.
But when I integrate that module to another Fusion Application(Add application jar file to the Master Application libraries), Master-details master selection not updating detail tables properly. This problem occurred sequentially.
    The problem is that.
After the page load, first selection of the Master Table works correctly and detail tables update correctly.
But second selection doesn't work, means detail table doesn't get update according to the Master table.
And again in the third selection works correctly.
This happens in a sequential manner. I monitor the behavior using Firebug. Observations are as follows,
When running correctly, Response of the Post Definition is

    Hi,
sound to be an implementation specific issue that is hard to comment on without knowing how to reproduce it. If you have a rerooducible test case based on the Oracle HR schema using JDeveloper 11.1.1.6, zip it up, rename the "zip "extension to "unzip" and sent it to the mail address you find in my OTN profile. If you don't have that test case, explain how this can be reproduced

  • 2LIS_02_S896 issue : Records are not updated into BW

    Hi
->We use 2LIS _ 02 _ SCL extractor to pass PO's to BW with delta.
->Works fine until the last week ,
->But on a particular date ( 15.05.2007) some of the records are not updated in BW.They are even not found at PSA level itself
->For eg for a material X there are two entries found in R/3 ( MB51 ) for the same posting date, now one of them is picked in BW (PSA level ) and other is not.
->There was no load fail / delta fail in BW and there is no exit written for this.
->Records are not updated in RSA3.
Let me know how this issue can be fixed. Its urgent.

  • Not Updating Customized Table when System having Performance Issue

    Hi,
This is actually the same topic as "Not Updating Customized Table when System having Performance Issue" which is posted last December by Leonard Tan regarding the user exit EXIT_SAPLMBMB_001.
Recently we changed the program function module z_mm_save_hide_qty to update task. However this causes more data not updated. Hence we put back the old version (without the update task).  But now it is not working as it used to be (e.g. version 1 - 10 records not updated, version 2 with update task - 20 records not updated, back to version 1 - 20 records not updated).
I tried debugging the program, however whenever I debugged, there is nothing wrong and the data is updated correctly.
Please advise if anyone has any idea why is this happening. Many thanks.
    Regards,
    Janet

    Hi Janet,
you are right. This is a basic rule not to do any COMMIT or RFC calls in a user exit.
Have a look at SAP note 92550. Here they say that exit EXIT_SAPLMBMB_001 is called in the update routine MB_POST_DOCUMENT. And this routine is already called in UPDATE TASK from  FUNCTION 'MB_UPDATE_TASKS' IN UPDATE TASK.
SAP also tells us not to do any updates on SAP system tables like MBEW, MARD, MSEG.
Before the exit is called, now they call 'MB_DOCUMENT_BADI' with methods MB_DOCUMENT_BEFORE_UPDATE and MB_DOCUMENT_UPDATE. Possibly you have more success implementing the BADI.
I don't know your situation and goal so this is all I can tell you now.
    Good luck!
    Regards,
    Clemens

  • Table record is not updated correctly after navigate back from detail page

I have 2 jspx pages one (page A) has a table displaying the employee record, another one (page B) is used to update the selected employee record. On page A, when selecting a record and clicking the 'Details' button I can be navigaed to pag B on which I can modify the record information in a form component. I have one table column 'teamName' which is binding to a LOV at VO layer and on pageB I am using <af:inputComboboxListOfValues> to show a editable LOV list for this attribute, when I input a new value here and save it, I can go back to page A but the team name for this record shows empty, by querying the database I do find the record updated successfully with the changed value. And when I reloaded the page the record can show the new team name value. Why it is not updated in the employee table when immediately navigating back from page B? I have set the table iterator refresh attribut to "always" but still failed. Can anyone help on this issue? Thanks!!
BTW, for other columns (not LOV) they are ok, the table can show the changed value correctly.

    Thanks for reply!
I did exactly the same as what you said. I d&d the data control Commit operation on page B to generate a 'Save' commandToolbarButton with the action attribute set to 'save' which is the from outcome for navigating back to page A. Is there any business logic I need to write here? Currently I have no.
Note: In this case I used an editable LOV, I have a requirment that besides selecting a existing value from the lov, user can also input a new value in the LOV. When going back to page A, I do find the LOV list is updated to contain the new vaule. Just the record in the table shows an empty value instead of the new value. Still do not know why.

  • Delet Material Master Record but not the range

    HI experts,
I have more material master records in production data base; now i need to delete them but at the same time don't remove the range numbering.
    I.E.
there are 10 master record with range number from 1 to 10.
now, deleting these 10 master records, i would like to avoid that the numbering starts from 11.
    thanks in advance
    C.

    Hi Jurgen,
I've gone through the data archiving project in the past. I was actually hoping I don't have to go through this big exercise for this minor situation.
The storage locations in the SAP system are fine. The problem is that when I came in to this organization, I found out that the procurement users have accidentally extended material master record to those storage location irrelevant to them. Those users don't post any stock to those accidentally extended storage location. They admit that it was a mistake. So, I don't really have to do stock movement or GI out from those affected storage location because there's nothing in them.
Now that I've initially flag for deletion (MM06) of those mistakes done by those procurement users over the few years counting to 2000+ material master records affected. But the standard behavior of the SAP system allows change to proceed in MM02 except for that warning message MM081. So, I was actually asking around to explore if there's actually an option to make it an error prompt instead and stop the whole change process at MM02 transaction level.
If I may re-confirm, what I've done so far via flaging for deletion of material master record at storage location level - is this the only correct solution available?
Hope this clarifies my intention of opening this thread. Sometimes, users are quite tough in accepting the results from standard SAP system behavior.
Thanks for the time in explaining.

  • Formula column value not updating in table?

    Hi all,
I create the sample for master/detail form. In detail for prdcode, rate, qty, amount is there. When select prdcode it fetching prdcode, rate in a record and if you type the qty the amout will come based on formula(property) :qty*:rate.
It is available on screen. But when i store the data, in backend table the amount is be a null.
    What is the problem.
    Help me in this regards,
    kanish

    Hi kanish
    Regarding Nul...
-u have to make sure that the formula is working fine and displaying the result in the form screen
-then the item u r storing MUST be a db item >yes and has a column name
-first of all select Help > display_error in the forms runtime may a db item error arais and the record is not correctly saved as u imagined.
u have 2 choices for the solution , i had both before may be it's not very cute but it will work...
    1. In when-validate-item Trigger or related item triggers pls follow
    SELECT Nvl(( :qty*:rate ) ,0)
    INTO :UR_ITEM
FROM DUAL;2.In Pre-Update,Pre-Insert & Pre-Delete Triggers Pls assign the result of ur formula column to the item u want to calc as supposing u r doing the calc of formula in non-db item , then put the following in triggers mentioned ...
    : item_name :=:qty*:rate;Hope this helps...

  • Form with report, update field in the form = field is not updated in table

    Hi,
I have a form with report. On Primary Key in the report is a link to the form. I select one row in the form by choosing the link in the report. Then I update a field in the form and press "Save". I see the success message "Action processed" and I'll be back in the report. I see the field in the report with it's old content. It is not updated. I don't understand why. Can anybody help me?
    Thanks Daniela

    Daniela,
Is the form field source set to the proper database column? It's either not properly defined or your Save button and the builtin update process have somehow become disconnected. Check to make sure that the Save button is set to perform an Update in the database operations setting.
