G++ output to ssa on mac os x

Hey everyone,
I'm trying to compile a C++ file to SSA (single static assignment) and this should be possible with g++ as gcc from 4 onwards includes this facility (http://developer.apple.com/documentation/Darwin/Reference/ManPages/man1/i686-app le-darwin9-g++-4.0.1.1.html) but i have not been able to do it with 4.0.1 or 4.2.1.
Is this a mac issue or a me issue?
i'm compiling with the -fdump-tree-ssa switch.
Any ideas would be great.

Does anyone know what the analogue stereo audio output from the new Mac Pro is? From the specification, there appears to be a stereo output for headphones, but it is unclear what other audio outputs are available and whether a stand-alone amplifier is required to drive small stereo speakers. Bridge CS4 attempt to Refresh Preview or Save output causes crash in Mac OS 10.8.2

Ever since installing Mountain Lion, I can no longer create contact sheets in Adobe Bridge CS4, which I was always able to do before installing ML. As soon as I press "Refresh Preview," or just try to SAVE the Output (PDF) without refreshing the preview, Bridge crashes with the report below. This is on a MacPro 2.66 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon with 20 MB RAM, OS 10.8.2. Ideas gratefully accepted!

To be absolutely sure, you also did the 2.1 update for the Output Module:

Not sure the link works, sometimes they are country specific but otherwise check the downloads at Adobe.com
Did you try it in a new user account just for testing. Sometimes check and repair permissions using Apple Disk Utility (or 3th party like Cocktail) will also help.
And finally I should point you to the fact that due to a new upgrade policy from Adobe you have until 31 december this year to profit from the upgrade price for PS CS6, after the 1st of january 2013 you will have to pay the full license price for CS6.

USB Audio output for a intel Mac Mini

Is there a USB Audio output device I can get for the Intel Mac Mini, that works in both Mac OS X and Windows XP Home?
I took my Mini apart to put in a hard drive, and now the sound sometimes doesn't work (Internal or External).

Optical audio output not working on mac mini

I have a brand new mac mini (less than a week old) that I've hooked up to my media center. Unfortunately, when I hook the optical audio output to my Pioneer receiver, I get no sound. I know the receiver decodes optical audio correctly because it does so with my DVD player and my Xbox. I have tried all 4 optical inputs on the receiver, and have tried two different optical cables, as well as 2 different optical adaptors (required by mac mini to go from TOSLINK to the mini TOSLINK output on the mac). This tells me that all signs point to the problem being with the mac audio optical output stage itself. I have called apple technical support and have had it looked at, at an apple store. Unfortunately, the apple store does not carry a device where the audio output could be plugged in to verify that no sound is delivered. Apple refuses to replace the unit because I cannot prove to them that the problem is with the mac mini and not with the pioneer receiver. I find this incredible. My first experience (and quite possibly my last) with a mac has proven to be a nightmare.
Before I contemplate returning the unit and demanding my money back, is there any help anyone can provide....some magic bullet I've overlooked? Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks for the reply. Yes, when I plug in the optical cable to the mac, it senses it correctly and changes from "Internal Speakers" to "Digital Out" under the sound system preferences. Also, there is definitely red light coming out of the other end of the cable. That only tells me that the "carrier frequency" of light is most probably being generated, but not that the digital audio information is being modulated on top of it.
Any other ideas? Out there?

Input output error samsung ssd mac 09

I bought a Samsung SSD 840 EVO drive because my drive from my macbook had a destroyed file and broken.
Yesterday I tried to partition the drive into 1 with GUID but the error came up with :
POSIX reports: The operation couldn’t be completed. Cannot allocate memory
I used a USB stick with an installation on it
Today I tried with a CD with mac os x the same procedure but this time with a different error:
Input output error
With both examples I also tried to erase the drive but with the same error 1 and 2.
I am not sure what to do next. Hope someone has a solution.

Either the drive, the SATA cable, or the logic board is faulty. Make sure the cable is not damaged and is securely inserted.

Surround Sound (5.1) output built in to Mac Pros?

I have a new (2008) Mac Pro (Dual Quad 2.8GHz) processor. I connect my receiver to the digital out and have messed with all the setting to get surround sound out of it. In the audio setup it only keeps showing stereo speakers (5.1 is grayed out). I cannot find a clear answer (to me at least, pretty new to this).
Can i get surround sound (5.1) out of the Mac Pro *out of the box* for DVDs and Soundtrack Pro 2 ? If so where can i find the instructions to do it. If not, what do i need to do to get surround sound out of the Mac Pro?

Under preferances in DVD player if not mistaken there is an option you must set for Dolby digital to work, not 100% sure of this, will go look when I get home.
ABout the Mac's sound card.
The sound card build into the Mac is stereo ( 2 channels ) and will only deliver mono or stereo sound. Even if you use an adapter like the one I got with my Loictech speakers that allows you to connect all 5.1 speakers to the stereo output the sound will play through all speakers but it is not true surround.
The type of signal that is send to the digital output depends on the source, if you play a CD it will be PCM, if you play a DVD with Dolby Digital sound track it will be Dolby Digital. Your Amp / Receiver must have a Dolby Digital decoder to decode the signal. Dolby Digital can be 2 channels as well it is not always surround.
CD's are stereo, all though most amps / receivers got DSP's in which will play the music on all 5.1 speakers ( also not true surround ). Same goes for games.
Not sure if there are Apple games that are written for Dolby Pro logic and pro logic II, if there are they will be surround if you got a Pro logic / pro logic II decoder in your amp / receiver.
SACD / DVD Audio is multi channel - need SACD or DVD Audio player to play these. These players use 5.1 analog output, these can not be put out via digital output so with these players you need amp / receiver with 5.1 analog input.
If you where able to use M-Audio's PCI sound card in the Mac your music CD's will still be stereo or not true surround. Same with games unless the game have been written to take advantage of the sound card.

You simply put the folder where you want (I put mine at the root level of my hard disk).
The Sample files are set up to use the API from the parents folder, so there is nothing to worry about.
Just open a sample project that looks compelling and start hacking. :)

Is it possible to output PSP video to Mac?

I know there are devices such as those made by Elgato eg http://tinyurl.com/gameconsolesonmac which allow you to connect a games console to an adapter which connects to the Mac so you can then play the consoles on the Mac's screen, however I am not aware of any which say they support the PSP.
I know there are both component and composite cables for connecting the PSP to TV's so you can play it on a bigger screen but I was wondering if there was a way to connect a PSP to my MacBook?

VGA to component output or other for Mac Air

Hello,
I am trying to use my HDTV as a monitor for my Mac Air (MacBookAir2,1), and am wondering if there is a cable to go from VGA to component. I currentl have the MacBook to VGA conversion cable - but the TV does not read it. The TV has the Y/G Pb/B Pr/R inputs.
Im wondering if theres any conversion cable, or any other way at all of getting the computer hooked up.

OUTPUT PROBELMS! GARBLED OUTPUT WHEN VIEWING FROM MAC 2 TV!

When running final cut, I usually view my work through a tv moniter as my external video monitor. However it is garbled and i have a feeling it is fixable? Anybody know how???

I output to my TV monitor via a DAC (digital to analogue converter) which takes the firewire signal and converts it to composite.
Since upgrading to FCP 5 I often find the picture on the TV is "grabled". All I do is select REFRESH DEVICES from my VIEW menu and it sorts it out. Let me know if this works.

Adf project output not rendering on Mac os -apple laptop

am using jdev11.1.1.5.0-adfbc-oracledb10g-mozilla ffx9.0.1.(developed my project in Windows xp service pack2)
and i get adf project url address and put in my applelaptop-mac os- safari browser.
nothing is rendering.
anything want to configure.?

Can't get audio HDMI output to work on ViewSonic VX2453 monitor

I have a 13" mid 2011 MacBook Air and a new ViewSonic VX2453 monitor. I used the Monoprice mini display port to HDMI converter with audio and connected the monitor to my computer's thunderbolt port. The video works perfectly, but the sound isn't working at all. I set my computer's sound output in settings to VX2453 series (type: HDMI), and I set my monitor's audio input to HDMI. Nothing. I also tried changing the frequency in Audio MIDI Setup, which someone recommended on amazon for the monoprice adapter, but that didn't work either.
I tested the monitor's sound by switching audio input instead to "audio in" and connected to my headphone jack, and that worked so the monitor's sound is fine.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Hi - I'm just setting up my VX2453, as well. I got sound to come out of it via the same HDMI output setting on the Mac as you describe, so I think you're doing the right thing.
Be sure you've selected the correct HDMI input (?).
Related, on my monitor, the audio can't be adjusted anywhere other than through the cumbersome volume control on the monitor. That is, when playing over the HDMI on the monitor's speakers, the volume controls on the MacBook Pro no longer respond (grayed out).
Anyone know how to make the volume controls on the MBPro respond under that setup?
