G10: Question about UJ-831S firmware.

I updated my firmware for the UJ-831S DVD RAM of my G10 to 1.02. It still doesn't write platinum DVD+R 8 speed (MID`DAXON AZ2) at the right speed. It still burns at 2.5 speed.
When is a new firmware with the newest Manufature ID's (DAXON AZ2 for example) be planned???
It's a OEM drive so it's Toshiba's responcability Mat****a say's....

Hello
Well. Sorry I dont found any officials documents about new firmware.
But in my opinion its not a firmware update issue.
Nevertheless you should try to burn another DVDs because not all medias works without any problems. In my opinion the TDK DVDs are very good. Furthermore in the user manual you should find some informations about CD and DVD medias which and compatible are tested and work nice on this unit.

    thx gus.............

while i am updating if : ... see here
    http://europe.nokia.com/A4577229
    *the PC shutdown
    - you should get "Software update failed".
*someone call me and the mobile ring at the updating process
    - calls can be made and received while the software is being downloaded. The call will be terminated automatically when the update phase begins.
*the electricity went off/*the internet connection have a problem/*the battery become empty at the updating process
    - Power or internet connection was lost during the update. The update may have been successful. Remove the battery and if the software was not updated, try again.

    - Nokia device firmware cannot be downgraded. Once you have upgraded your device, you will not be able to restore it to the earlier version.

  • Question about imac graphics firmware updates

My Imac model identifier is imac8,1; the machine is a 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, with 2 GB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM.  I am running OS 10.6.7.  I have an ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro graphics card.
Firmware Update 1.0.1 is apparently installed, since my graphics ROM version is 113-82250L-259.
Symptoms occurring within last 6 months or so:  Without notice, the screen goes black, though I can detect light “behind” (i.e., it doesn’t look powered off). The only remedy I’ve been able to get to work is to use the power button (or unplug) to turn the machine off. I don’t know whether the system has frozen or not.  I’ve looked at the console and system log, but I can’t tell from them what’s happening.
I have reset the SMC and PRAM.  The computer passes the extended Apple Hardware Test.
My question: is one or both of the imac graphics firmware updates 1.0.2 (September 10, 2009) or 2.0 (June8, 2011) appropriate for my machine?

If there is an update to your particular graphics firmware, Software Update will let you know; if there is nothing showing there, it means there is no update available for your configuration. Do not simply download from the Apple website and install something that could cause havoc on your machine.
I'm not sure what the problem might be, but it could be graphics card and/or logic board related. Since you've already done the SMC and PRAM resets, unless someone else has another idea, I'd suggest booking an appointment at your nearest Genius Bar for a free evaluation and diagnosis. If the problem is intermittent, take screen shots or video of it so you can show it to them.

  • Question about the new firmware for Zen Mi

Does the recent update for the Micro allow the user to use Zen Micro Media Explorer unlike the update from December?

You have to upgrade the Explorer version to the one that is enabled for "MTP" firmware, which can be downloaded for free from the creative download section. I'm using the beta firmware, and it works pretty well for me, and I like the autosync feature with WMP0.

  • Info about the linux-firmware package and rt2780-usb-fw

    Hello,
I have a have question about the linux-firmware package in the repo.
Recently there was an update for this package and when I checked its contents I saw that it also updates rt2870usb-fw.
Maybe I am a bit confused about the all kernel modules / firmware, but since I need to compile the latest kernel (linux-mainline from AUR) to get my buffalo wireless usb work(my rt2870 is supported from rc4), would it be possible to update only this package and use the kernel in the arch repo?
I can't test it myself because I am out of town for while.

  • Questions about Micro-Firmware (Not 2.x.x

    Hi Guys,
i got some questions about the .0.03 firmware.
    ) What's the difference between the :
    ZenMicro_PCFW_LB__0_03_PDE.exe ,57 MB 8 Feb 05.
    and the
    ZenMicro_PCFW_US__0_03_PDE.exe ,8 MB 08 Dec 04 ?
Does "US" means that this is the north american version ?
    So what is LB ?
    2) I've got the "ZenMicro_PCFW_US__0_03_PDE.exe ,8 MB 08 Dec 04". Is there any use of upgrading to the one from 8 Feb 05 ?
    3) ZenMicro_PCFW_US__0_03_PDE.exe
Does the "E" at the end means "european", so the loudness is reduced ? Must be something different because it's also included in the firmware from the american site.Message Edited by Baron on 02-20-2005 09:0 AM

From what I've picked up elsewhere in the forum, the LB version of the .0.03 firmware just includes MORE LANGUAGES (for the user interface, i.e. menus) than the US version of that same firmware. see : http://forums.creative.com/creativel...essage.id=2374 ... which, really, you should have found using the search function, before posting. --Fred.

  • This is a two part question about the creative 16gb Zen?

8This is a two part question about the creative 6gb Zen? First of all, my battery life dropped very suddenly. One charge I was getting the full 30 hour battery life and the next it dropped to under ten. I tried using their tips on how to extend the battery life and I am still getting less than 0 hours of battery life. Why would it dropped more than half the amount between charges? I tried recharging it after it ran out and still the same thing. Any help?
Second, (I am adding this question because it might relate to the first in some way) my mp3 player has been behaving strangely lately. For example, some artists sometimes have letters removed or all but the first end up being removed. But, if you reset the player, the artists go back to the full name. Also, my player has been taking a little longer than usual to turn on. It takes about 30 seconds to turn on instead of the 5-0 that I'm used to. Does anyone know why this might be happening?
My Zen is only 4 months old, and I would be very upset it it's breaking already. Please, if you have any suggestions on how I can fix what's happening, post them. (Even if they?probably won't work, they're worth a try.)

< This is an unusual one; never heard of it before. All I can suggest is cleaning up and perhaps reflashing the firmware. If it still is doing this, then get the thing exchanged pronto.
My guess is that the problems are indeed closely related.

  • Question about Home Hub 3 Noise dB Margins

Hi everyone, I'm due to get BT Infinity on Friday... 1 more sleep
I have a question about the Noise Margins, I can't seem to find them within the Router, I've skimmed some articles and posts, and even tried to use the search feature but can't seem to find how to find this information.
One page actually said about you need to unlock the homehub3, if this is so can someone point me in the right direction it's not something I want to do after install due to the fact your suppose leave the connection left in for 10days etc.
Let's assume I have to unlock it, does this break warranty in anyway or could it cause problems with the install and engineer.
I'm fully conident when it comes to flashing routers done tons, was a DDWRT guru back when I was using Virgin Media
Anyway, if you know point me in the right direction. Thanks
EDIT: I've just read that it requires a firmware can someone point me in the right direction, Yes it's geeky stats but its also useful, last two times I trusted there automated system well Sky, I lost out on 4mb after ringining them they reset the test I know BT / Sky now do it on intervals, but not the point....... This information should be public viewing for spotting protential problems outside the home.

Ok, let me re-phrase that, now that I'm almost awake after a very poor nights sleep.
It's irrelevant on some infinity connections
I was discussing this very subject with an individual in the ELTC team, which could be the same for the OP
I guess some adsl stats prior to Infinity being installed could ascertain the likely hood of a decent speed

  • Question about SUS

Hi, i have a question about SUS update.
I live in a place were internet conection is very limited. During the update procedure, conection droped a few times. Sus told me to retry, and when i got conection, it resumed itself from where it did stop and went on.
My question is , can i have a corrupted firmware? Or does SUS make a checksum before updating the phone?
Phone is fine, but i wonder if i could have problems in the future because of my bad download conection.

your phone should be fine, if anything goes wrong, which I doubt it, you can re-download the update

  • Zen Microphoto NEWBIE question about batt

Hey, I was wondering how many bars of battery life are displayed on the top right screen. Because I'm just wondering if these are bars of battery life or is my battery life dramatically fluctuating up and down. Also my other question is firmware version .20.0 the lastest firmware because I can't update with version 2. firmware updates shown available in my creative MediaSource's software updates list. Mediasource says something about needing prerequisite firmware and that it can't connect to my device. So I'm thinking I may not need it since v..20.0 was released not to long ago.
Any help or advice much appreciated.Message Edited by DevinB on 02-2-2006 06:07 AM

The battery indicator is not in "bars" like the Micro ... it is solid green ... I haven't counted how many "steps" it has, though.
Firmware .20.0 is the latest firmware for the MicroPhoto ... there is no Version 2 of the firmware as of now. Perhaps you have it confused with the Zen Micro firmware? They're both different.

  • Question about router WRT54 GL

Good afternoon, I have following problem/question about router: WRT54GL.
I configured the router to operate in my network without any problems except for the following:
When I made tests of speed on computer which is connected directly to the cable from my ISP (ethernet, speed 64 mbit /s during download). When I connected the cable from ISP to the router and router is connected to the PC also using ethernet(from router port 1 to the pc) the speed behind a router decreased to 20 mbit. What I am doing wrong? or is it just a limitation in router's performance?
    Thanx for any help
    Johny Krekan,
    [email protected]

Open the setup page of the router.
Set the MTU to Manual and change the size to 1365.
Save the settings and power cycle the router. Check the speed.
Make sure that firmware on your router is latest.

  • Question about upgrade and original iPhone

There might be other thread already, but have a question about upgrade to 3G.
I have the original iPhone and have upgraded to iPhone 3G.
The question is whether I can use the original iPhone indefinitely.
People at Apple store was telling me I can use the original iPhone (without the phone functionality) as long as I don't restore the firmware.
Is this true? What happens if Apple releases firmware in the future? Would this mean that I can only use this as long as machine doesn't require restore? I wanted to give it to one of my family members so she can use it as iPod so any info would be helpful ....

My understanding is the same as the Apple Store Employee.
If you try to update the software on an iphone with no service, I believe that it will be rendered useless.
It may be possible to swap the SIM card for software upgrades, etc., not sure.

  • [Zen Micro]Questions about the Firmw

    Hello,
I have some questions about the firmware of the Zen Micro
. Can I use the Zen Micro without any Software (MediaSource?) on my PC (winXP) when im using the Firmware Creative Zen Micro *PlaysForSure/MTP Firmware 2.00.2 ? This means that i copy my Music only by drag&drop from the Explorer after my Computer has detected the Zen Micro as a Removable Disk!
    2. I know that the Zen Micro has two parts with the Normal Firmware. The "Removable Disk" Part and the "Playable" Part which can only used by the Software! But what happens if my . question is right. How can i seperate this two parts?
    Thanks for answers

I don't have the 2.x firmware, but I think I'm correct in saying this :
with the 2.x firmware, your Micro becomes an MTP compatible device, which can be recognized on PCs having an MTP compatible OS (operating system). For the moment, the only OS that fits the bill to my knowledge, is Win XP with Windows Media Player 0. In this combination of MTP device + MTP OS, you don't need to install other drivers, and you can do drag and drop
BUT ! The 2.x firmware doesn't make your device a "removable disc" in the traditional sense of the word. It doesn't become a file system, like a USB memory stick.
I hope I was clear enough to see the difference :-)Message Edited by fred_be9300 on 04-03-2005 02:52 AM

  • ANOTHER Question about my iMac G3. Mac OS X and RAM

Hey, I have ANOTHER question about my iMac G3.
I know that I'm supposed to have the latest firmware updates for my iMac G3 running OS 8.1, which I do, but I read some where these firmware updates could only be updated if you're running OS 9.2. Yet when I run the firmware updater, it says my firmware is up to date. I just wanted to make sure this was correct because I just ordered an OS X 10.2 CD today, and I don't want my mac to be "dead" when I install it.
My next question is how much RAM can my mac hold. It's an iMac G3 with a 233 mhz processor, if that makes a differemce.
Again, thanks to the people who have helped me with my first Mac.

    hi there--
unfortunately you require system 9.1 or 9.2 for the required firmware update 1.2 for your computer http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=86117. so you'll have to install that if you want to install 10.2. it may work for you for a little while, but then you could possibly lose all your information. so i wouldn't advise attempting installing 10.2 without the correct firmware.
