Garbled characters when using bookmark fast searches

I add the following site into my bookmark search:http://bk.baidu.com/searchword/?word=%s&pic=1&sug=1&oq=w&rsp=-1
and set keyword bk.When I search chinese words the search words become garbled characters.For example,I type"bk 内存" in the address bar to search,and it turns out the search words become garbled characters"鍐呭瓨".The search result address is "http://bk.baidu.com/notexists?word=内存",if I replace the %s with the search words and type it in the address bar,it turns out OK.Chrome do not have such problem.

The difference seems to be this HTTP request (first 4 RC and second in 3.6). 
That first code is the result of encodeURIComponent. 
I don't know how the second is encoded, but it looks like a bug in Firefox 4. 
That second request is also send in Firefox 4 if I use the search field on http://bk.baidu.com/

Portal framework when using bookmarks

Hi
When we use bookmarks to run reports, the portal framework does not show (the portal menu). It is only the BI template that is shown just like when you run a template from WAD. Is it possible to direct the user to the report with the portal framework around the WAD template when using bookmarks?

I do not want to create confusion but PFCG would not be helpful. If users want to run the report for different variables and different drilldowns. It would not be possible to keep record of their each bookmark and adding it to the Role.

i've tested it both on 6i and 10g and also set the lov name at runtime.
All i can say is, it does what it is supposed to do.
So you should give it one more try:
- leave the item properties NULL ( LOV name ) and NO ( Validate_From_List )

Cannot rename file with non-ASCII characters when using the

My application moves files from one directory to another by calling File[] srcFiles = srcDir.listFiles() to get a list of files in the source directory, and then calling srcFiles.renameTo(destFile) to rename each file.
This does not work (renameTo returns false and the file is not moved) under the following circumstances:
- the file's leaf name contains non-ASCII characters, for example "�"
- the OS is Solaris 9
- the LANG and LC_* environment variables are unset, i.e. the C locale is being used
If I set the LANG environment variable to, for example, en_GB.UTF-8 then the rename succeeds.
I have tried calling srcFiles[index].getName().getBytes("UTF-8") and the non-ASCII characters are being replaced with ? (0x3f) characters when LANG is unset.
Is this a bug in the JRE? I would argue that since my code does not actually manipulate the filename (I just use the File object that File.listFiles() gives me) then the rename should succeed. Of course I would not expect the file name to be displayed correctly if I printed it out.
I have reproduced this behaviour with JDK 1.4.2_05 and 1.5.0_04 on Solaris 9.

I considered setting the locale in the environment (this sounds like the "correct" fix to me and we might implement it later), but this application shares a WebLogic server with many other applications so we would have to do a huge amount of testing to make sure that the locale change wouldn't break the other apps. In the end I worked around the problem by making the code that generates the filenames in the first place strip out any non-ASCII characters (the names of the files are not critically important).
Looking forward to JSR-203, in the meantime perhaps a note about this behaviour in the java.io.File javadoc would be useful.

Camera icon does not appear when use Google Image Search

I am working on a much older macbook pro (2006) running OS 10.6.8 and Safari 5.1.10.
Just the other day I reinstalled Safari, as some things appeared to not be working properly. However, there was nothing wrong with Google. SInce then, when I try to search by Google Image, the camera icon does not appear in the search bar. I have tried reinstalling Safari twice, but nothing changes. I have checked in Firefox and it shows up as expected.
I have cleared the cache, deleted cookies, and cleared browser history. None of these steps have produced any changes.
Also, I seem to have reverted to some earlier version of Google, since the search tools now appear on the top left, as show below.
Can you please assist me in sorting this out so that Safari and Google perform as expected.

Error in UOMs when using Bookmarks

Hi,
I have a Forecast Consumption report which has 4 tabs: Data Analysis (which gives UOMs in KGs) , U.S. UOM View (which converts UOMs to LBs), Chart Display and Report Information.
An interesting problem faced by an User. When the User runs the Forecast Consumption report from the web, he is able to see UOMs in KGs in Data Analysis tab and in LBs under U.S. UOM View, which is expected.
But when he tries to execute the report using bookmarks, he is able to view only KGs in both the tabs in Data Analysis tab and under U.S. UOM View.
Have checked all the settings and everything seems fine but cannot figure out why U.S. UOM is showing in KGs when the report is run via bookmark. Has anybody encountered this issue. Any help would be appreciated.

My query runs slower when i use variables but it runs faster when i use hard coded values. Why it is behaving like this ?
My query is in cursor definition in a procedure. Procedure runs faster when using hard coded valus and slower when using variables.

Display color profile bug when using the fast account switch from a guest account to an admin account (and vice versa)

I'm sometimes using a guest account on my MBP (unibody late 2008 2,4 GHz Core2Duo, 4GB DDR3 running OSX 10.9.4 on an OCZ 128GB SSD) for a more distraction-free working space and I noticed right away a disturbing bug:
Using the fast account switch (upper right hand corner of the screen) in Mavericks from an admin account to log into a guest account (or vice versa) produces, after the fancy rotating cube animation, some strange distortion of the desktop background happens (lasting approx. 2 sec.). After that the color profile of the display is changed into an usable but ugly one, which is disturbing while working with pictures. When checking the color profile in the pref pane, the standard "display" profile is said to be active (it's the one I use) but still the colors aren't the same. Selecting another profile and re-selcting the desired one doesn't fix the problem. Switching back to the other account with the fast switching leaves the colors altered. Logging out and deleting the guest account seems to the problem for the remaining admin account. Rebooting and logging in to either of the accounts (admin or guest) from the standard account selecting page at booting shows the normal color profile.
Is it a general bug or is their anything a can do to prevent this problem (other than never using the fast switching)?

I have been having an issue with iCloud on Mac where it kept asking me for my password and sometimes would, sometimes would not continue to access my iCloud mail. Today it just refused to connect to iCloud mail.
I looked in the Mail, Contacts and Calendars in my MacBook Pro settings and discovered that 2 iCloud accounts were present. One with my original Apple ID (a gmail address) and a second with my new iCloud email ( an @me.com address). Having deleted the second account, using the new @me.com address everything is working fine.
So from my viewpoint when I moved over to iCloud I was asked to sign in with my Apple ID (the gmail address) then to create an @me.com address. However, as far as I can see all sign ins to the new @me.com account on Macbook, iPhone and iPad need to be done through the old Apple ID (the gmail address). Is that confusing and just plain crazy???
Further, after creating the new @me.com address I soon found out that this is apparently now forever bound to my old Apple ID and cannot be changed. I mean why can't I delete the iCloud account and start anew with a different @me.com address??? Also, as everybody using iCloud must create an @me.com address why on earth can I not get rid of my old gmail address and have my entire Apple ID accessed through the new @me.com address? Creating a whole new Apple ID will not solve this as we are unable to transfer purchases between accounts.
Apple products are great IMHO, but they do seem to not think things through in a very big way sometimes......

Leading garbage characters when using CipherInputStream

So, after receiving an encrypted message, I can decrypt it perfectly except that I get a random amount of leading garbabe characters. Using the same plaintext, here are examples of the beginning of the output file for two runs (using od -c to look at the files):

The part beginning with "The LLSE..." is correct.
The fact that the leading garbage appears to be random leads me to believe that there is something wrong with the crypto rather with the file I/O.

I have problems typing certain characters when using gmail or online forums. Can someone help?

When I try to use an apostrophe, when using online forums or my email (all in safari), a white bar appears at the bottom of the screen displaying the punctuation mark but it will not allow me to use it. Any idea how I can fix this?

Have you tried resetting your iPad?
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).
No data will be lost.

Garbage characters when using CR XI R1 with Sharp M350 printer PCL5e driver

My application uses CR XI R1. We have a customer who has a Sharp M350 printer. When printing or previewing a report from my application with this printer set as the default, the text is garbled - the characters look like gibberish.
If they change the default printer to another printer, it works fine. but they need to be able to print to the Sharp printer so I need to find a solution to the problem.
Changing the printer driver to a PCL6 has no effect. Does anyone have any suggestions for fixing this?

A few questions:
1) What development language are you using?
2) Have you ever applied any CR Service Packs?
3) Have you checked for any updated for the Sharp M350 printer driver?
4) Can you duplicate the issue on your development system?
5) Are you able to print correctly to that printer using the CR designer? (even if you have to as a test, install it on one of the client machines?)
6) What Crystal Reports SDK are you using? RDC? If so, what is the CR dlls referenced in your app?

When using Google to search the results are displayed so small I cannot read them. This just started today.

Today when I was searching with Google. The display of the results started getting smaller and smaller, right before my eyes, and I could not stop it, and I was doing nothing, but reading the screen. I cannot find anything to tell me how to get the larger size display back. All the other search engines, such as Bing, Yahoo are displaying correctly. I have always used Google, I like Google, I do not want to change. Please can you help me? I have a screen print available is you need to see it. How to support non alphanumeric characters when using WORLD_LEXER?

BASIC_LEXER has an attribute of printjoins which we can specify the non alphanumberic characters as normal alphanumberic in query and included with the token. However, WORLD_LEXER doesn't have this attribute. So in order to use some non alphanumberic characters and treat them as alphanumberic characters in Oracle Text Index, such as ><$, what should I can?

I use WORLD_LEXER to create Oracle Text Index to support UTF-8.

Actually, the result what I want is: 3 违违$(|违违
So the requirement is that all non-alphanumeric characters should be treated as normal alphanumeric charcters. Please tell me how to implement it.

When using the google search button my queries are always redirected to another site, and not google as indicated as my preferred search engine.

I have to open up an Internet Explorer browser when I try to to a search for anything. Even though I've selected google as my default search engine, I still get redirected to some random site. It's useless. I would like to use Firefox all the time, but I cannot do so.

Do a malware check with some malware scan programs. You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database before doing a scan.
