GB3 Install and Text Problem?

Never had any trouble on my desktop edit computers with GB2 or 3. I am toying with the idea of using laptop for live gig for fx for vox/guitar. Fresh install of GB3 on laptop, and the INFORMATION fields and menus have whiteout text that is impossible to read.
Tweaking the monitor size and size prefs make no difference.
Perhaps it is a new bug and using Garage Band 2 would work mo' bettah?

Installing AND Uninstalling problems

Hi.
My problem started when I was trying to install one of the CS4 premiums. When I was going through and selecting everything I wanted to install, Photoshop CS4 Extended would not select. I clicked a little drop down arrow that said that the reason is because it is already installed. This is not my problem...
I thought it was weird because I had never, ever before had any version Photoshop installed on this computer. But I opted to simply install and then uninstall a Photoshop CS4 Extended trial to see if that would help. After downloading a hefty installer file, I attempted to install it. At the end of the installation I received the following error:

Crap. But I decided to try to uninstall it anyway. At the end of the uninstallation it says that there were some errors uninstalling some of the components. "For more information see below." And then there's nothing below. What.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it several times. What the Christ, guys? Am I forever doomed to have an incomplete, non-working Photoshop on my computer? Is there any way I can simply delete all the files and remove it from the registry?

SOA Suite 11g HA install and EDNDataSource problem

We have installed and configured Oracle SOA Suite 11g (11.1.1.5) cluster per the instructions in the Enterprise Deployment Guide and Anthony Reynold's blog (http://blogs.oracle.com/reynolds/entry/installing_an_11g_soa_cluster). We are encountering constant XA and DBLocker related errors with the EDNDataSource:

These errors occur every couple of seconds on both SOA hosts. Additionally, we see errors on one of the hosts, complaining about EDNDataSource not being clusterable:

We have ensured that the database (we are using a single Oracle 11g database instance, not RAC) has XA support enabled. Beyond this, we haven't found any leads on this forum nor the Oracle support site (we have opened an SR with Oracle). I've seen a couple of other threads related to this issue over the last year (e.g., Re: JTA - XA Rources - Rollbacks reason and What is the purpose of EDNDataSource in SOA 11g? but no resolution was ever posted.
Does anyone have any suggestions of where to being looking to troubleshoot this issue? Any help would be most appreciated!

How are you starting the server? Using start script - ./startManagedWebLogic.sh soa_server1? Make sure that classpath is getting set properly.Yes, after using the script to start the admin server.
How do I make sure the classpath is getting set properly? Seems to be the actual problem, but from the logs when the server starts up the command seems correct from what I can see. If I knew which jars contained the classes it needed I could try and look for them in the start command.
11g is not certified on Ubuntu. Please refer below link for certification matrix -I actually wished Oracle could certify the installers for Mac OSX (just for development), but I guess I could try and get things up on Redhat instead. :P

Firefox Podcast and Text problem

OK, this is simple, in Google Chrome my website podcasts and text load no problem. The podcast plays the text appears. In Firefox it does not.
I'm pretty certain this is not a text font problem. I can't pin point what it is.

There was a bug reported with the Isotope plugin in Firefox 19 (and 20 beta) when using CSS3 transitions. There is a way to force the use of jQuery, but I'm not familiar enough with this plugin to know where you put the code.

Now... that may well be a different issue than the one you've identified, but in order to figure out what's going on, I would need a simpler test case.

New GPU Quadro k5200 installed and having problem with my AE, PPro CS6 not using the GPUs cuda.

Hi guys, I recently bought a workstation from BOXX tech with a new GPU Quadro k5200 installed in it.
I am having problem with my AE, PPro CS6 using the GPUs cuda.
I went to Nvidia Settings and use the specific App to select it to use GPU n- Quadro k5200. But still not working.

If you edited the Cudatextfile in the Adobe Premiere CS6 directory correctly then the acceleration should be enabled. The only way it it's not is if you have the wrong driver for that version of Adobe or did not edit the text file with the exact name of the card. You can use the GPUsniffer in that same Premiere directoy with the command prompt to see the name the GPU should be listed as. The Ray Tracer file in AE has to be edited with the same listing.

Nokia 500 display light and texting problems with ...

After installing Belle I have some VERY annoying problems with my Nokia 500.
While texting it turns the display light up and down.
When I write fx a name and press # to use a big letter, it doesn't automatically go back to small letters after writing the first letter. I have to press # again.
I have never had this problem before Belle, with any phone.
Its really annoying and timeconsuming having to delete what I just wrote coz it has continued to write in big letters.
Also after Belle, when browsing the text with > and < it doesn't highligt a whole word, so i can change it. If for some reason I accidently delete the last letter in a word, I have to delete the whole word and write it again. Never had that problem before either.
Have I done something wrong to get these annoying problems, or do others also have these problems?
Is there a fix for Belle coming up?
And why on earth put out software with so many problems...? I wish I had never "upgraded" to Belle!!
Hope this is not to confusing, and that someone has a fix for this.

i believe there is an option in the Messaging options to actually turn off word prediction, so that it is off by default every time you start up the Messaging app. i also think that instead of navigating it with the > and <, you can actually tap the word on screen and it will highlight that word for you.
as for the display issue, not so sure. have you checked via Nokia Suite that you have the latest firmware installed for your device? if so, then try re-installing your current firmware thru Nokia Suite.
Symbian is in maintenance mode, therefore will no longer see any more major firmware updates, only perhaps the odd bug fix or two.

General install and deployment problem with WLS clustering on two boxes

Hi,
I've come across a general installation problem with WLS with a cluster spanning two different physical machines and two Managed Servers, one Managed Server per physical machine.
The problem is, starting from scratch, you install WLS on both physical machines. You can then use the config wizard to create the domain, cluster and managed servers, but this is a manual typing in process.
So we've now got a WLST Script which we run with "java weblogic.WLST domaincreate.py domain.properties". This is good as it creates the domain, cluster, managed servers and JMS modules.
Now the trouble is, it doesn't do anything to the 2nd physical machine which will be running only the 2nd Managed Server.
One dirty way to get around this in order to start the 2nd managed server was to copy the domain directory to the 2nd server, but I'm sure this is bad practice and what you can actually do is improve the WLST script to actually, but the same as the config wizard and dump the nessary information to the 2nd physical machine in order so you don't need to copy the domain directory across so that it will startup straight after running the WLST.

SAP GUI 7.10 overwrites SAP GUI 6.40 once installed and any problem

Currently I am using SAP GUI 6.40 for my SAP logon,
but if I install the Internet explorer 7.0 then in SAP transactions F1 help information will not support for this and information on the screen will be blank.
As per my understanding if we use SAP GUI 6.40 we cann't use the Internet explorer version 7.0. I heard by using SAP GUI 7.10 we can use the Internet Explorer 7.0 with out any problem to F1 help in SAP transactions.
I have got the path to download the SAP GUI 7.10. If I install will it automatically upgrades the older version, and no more we can use SAP GUI 6.40.Because I am functional consultant I don't know deep about that. So if any problem occurs during the Installation of SAP GUI 7.10 then my SAP log on will be in problem and cann't use the same SAP GUI 6.40.
Please share your information on this.How I can go about that without any problem to my SAP activities upon installation. Is there Basis consultant is required for this.

Install and login problem for APEX2.2

Hi, I have installed Oracle APEX2.2 on my oracle10.2.0 windows server with oracle 10http. I have followed all the instruction of Installation manual. However I run into problem when I tried to access the login page.
1. I couldn't see any image from the webpage.
I have copied all the images from installation directary into ....\Apache\Apache\images, and put this as alias in marve.conf.
2. after I put in 'admin' and password from "application Express administration services" page, I click login button. however nothing happen, I only can say "error on page" from status bar.
Does anyone have similar problem? Does anyone know the problem?
Any help is appreciated.

I think your may have to double check with your marvel.conf (Oracle10HTTP). Deponse on what you have put your Location section there, you will see different responds.

P965 neo-f v2 install and boot problem

hi. i have problem vith my motherboard( p965 neo-f v2) i cant instal win7. always rebooting when instal. 3 days im trying to make this work. any help?

If it's rebooting randomly then it's most likely the RAM, data corruption or power supply issues.
It's never a good idea to mix RAM modules by the way. Try with just ONE stick in DIMM1 (slot closest to the CPU). Also, still check there's no problems with the RAM module with >>Memtest86<<.
Run diagnostic tests on the hard drive to check it's not the cause of the problem and try a different lead.
Another possibility is that your power supply is faulty. Try and borrow one of greater power (more amps on the +12v rail) and see if that changes anything.

New SSD installed and Performance Problems

Greetings all!
I just reinstalled my workstation with a new Intel X25-V SATA solid-state drive 40GB on which I installed only Win7 and CS5 and, with my i7980x processor and 24GB of ram, I was expecting some super crazy performance (my Windows Performance Number is 7,7 out of 7,9 possible) and... my Premiere Pro is now rendering painfully slow... Everything else is fine in the computer...
Real time viewing of the video, when not rendered, is impossible or extremely pixelized (it was just fine before with my HDD).
Any help is welcome!!

SSDs make great OS/program drives, but they can be pretty weak for CS5, especially at the price/generation point of Intel's X25-V series. Regarding why are SSDs poor for CS5, it is an issue with slow performance in writing.
Put everything on your HD except "media cache DB" (CS5 projects, media, media cache, output, etc.) and you should be fine. BTW, you have a strong CPU and lots of RAM, so your hardware would be much better balanced if you were to use a total of 4 7200 RPM SATA drives: 2 in RAID 0 for projects and media; 2 in RAID 0 for media cache and render outputs. Check out the "hardware" forum for LOTs of hardware discussion.

Install and setup problem with Acrobat XI pro

I have downloaded the Acrobat XI Pro trial program, with no error messages. When I clisk on "setup.exe" the following error message appears, see screen shot :
"This patch package could not be opened. Verify that the patch package exixts and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windose Installer patch package"
How do I get setup to start?

@Jeff -- Yes I did use theDownload assistant. Down load completed and assistant started the insall. Received the error message and install terminated. Searched for and found the install folder and have tried install by clicking on"setup.exe". Have not tried a fresh download, did the MSI logging, see next reply.
@LeoAdobeX -- I renamed the file\folder path and eliminated all spaces. Clicked setup.exe and received same error message.
Enabled MSI logging and tried setup.exe, received same error message. Have posted 2 most recent MSI files and the setup.ini file. Here are the links:

Align Image and Text Problem

I have DW CS4 and Windows XP with plenty of memory and have used this method before to align text with an image. I insert the image on the page and then type in the text beside the image that I want. If the text is long, then the second line of text will wrap below the image. I select the image so the properties show. In the align box, I select how I want the text to align (Top for example). What is happening is that the first line of text aligns as I want, but all the other text stays below the image.
I have tried selecting the alignment first then type the text in and results is the same.
I am not sure what is causing this. I have checked properties and unless I am missing something, there is nothing there to make this happen.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Calling and texting problems.

I can't text neither call, Every time i try to call it says "You do not have enough credit." But i do have :S and i don't know what to do i called my carrier they said they can't help me i didn't buy the phone from their shop -.- , Can someone please tell me what to do? or if you have same issues ?:\

Seeing as how anything to do with an account is based on your carrier not the iPhone, not sure how we can help. Since you didn't buy from an authorized dealer for your carrier I can only assume it isn't setup correctly and why they refuse to help you. Maybe do things the proper way next time is the help we can give.

Installing and Downloading problems

This is my first time downloading adobe to my Mac, the serial number is valid but the CS6 is not in in the product list what do i do?

It looks like you purchased an upgrade. The installer is asking you to select and enter the serial number for your previously purchased software. What software and version are you upgrading from?
I removed your screenshot btw as it contained your serial number.
