"GemSafeXpresso Card returns "6D 00" for most of APDU commands"

Hi everyone,
I am confused with GemSafeXpresso smart card, GemSafeXpresso card can be authenticate with CardManager but I can not delete the instance of applet with GlobalPlatform Delete APDU command,it returns "6D 00"
In following you can find what was happend on my card:
At first,I installed GemSafe V2.04 applet that is placed on Rom of the card,I mean I created an instance of GemSafe applet with "A0 00 00 00 18 0A 00 00 01 63 42 00" ID successfully, after that I selectd GemSafe applet and Root and then I created some EFs under root ,but now I can not delete the instance of applet that I have created,The card returns "6D 00" ,I can authenticate with CardManager but I can not delete , create or install ,...
I should say ,at first I installed and deleted the instance some times but I can not do now ,I would like to know what is the reason of this problem.
I appreciate for any help,
Yours sincerely,
Orchid

Dear lexdabear,
Thanks a lot for your reply,
Gemalto has written GemSafe applet and has loaded on Rom of GemSafeXpresso card but I can just install it and make an instance of it on the card ,So I don not have source of applet.
In following you can find the APDU command for install ,delete ,...

  • Has anyone returned an iPod for a gift card

Hi everyone. Apple was kind enough to return my 3 week old refurbished iPod video so I could get a new one. Now I am iPodless! I was planning on getting a new iPod right away when I got my Gift Card. Seel, I bought the iPod using a gift card. Now they are saying it will take 2 weeks to get the gift card! This seems a little crazy to me. Has anyone returned an iPod for a gift card who can tell me how long I should expect it to take? Where do they ship the gift card from? I sent my iPod to somewhere in California, and I live in California. I don't see how it could take more than 2 or 3 days. Maybe I am missing something? The return policy says they send the gift card within 2 days of receiving the iPod. I'm sure someone has done this.

    Your post is confusing.
Apple was kind enough to return my 3 week old refurbished iPod video so I could get a new one.
Do you mean they let you return it and get your money back?
Not sure what you mean by a gift card?

  • Nvidia 6800M Card in MacBook Pro 2.5 -what card is Apple using for repairs?

    The Nvidia 6800M Card:
Am getting one of the outgoing MacBook Pros Early 2008 with 2.5 GHz 250 HD and 512MB VRAM. I thought this model was not one of those with the defective Nvidia 6800M Card. Apple didn't list the 2.5 GHz machine on their website as one of those with the bad card.
Now I'm certain that this machine too has the defective card (based on all the web info and evidence that Nvidia never fixed or altered their production processes on this and it was a soldering defect).
If Apple replaces it with a new logic board presumably -- will it have the exact same type of 6800M card or a new, revised one? <edited by host>
Those of you getting a repair --- what kind of card do you have now? Can they put a different video card on there???
Am very worried as I don't game but bought this thing for graphics on the side and home use. I may not "stress it" sufficiently with CS 3 Suite so problem may not manifest until after AppleCare runs out. I want this machine to last 5 -- 7 years. Should I return it and get hit with open box fees???

    hepatica,
there is a repair program in place stating that should the GPU fail as a result of the defect, your warranty will be extended to two years and the repair will be free of charge. if you happen to get applecare, it's free of charge to fix anyways.
the support article also says that the affected models were manufactured between may 2007 and september 2008.
that being said, i don't think all of the 8600M GTs are defective. should a repair be necessary at this point (or a year from now, when the GPU usually fails for most people who have had it fail), i can confidently say that it would be replaced with a revised chip since nvidia has corrected the problem this past summer (as stated by another poster). the new revision should be free from the defect.
apple would not put in a different GPU (eg: the 9600M GT) than the one it came with.

  • Any suggestions RE: aftermarket cards to accelerate rendering for FCP?????

Any suggestions RE: aftermarket cards to accelerate rendering for FCP? I will be purchasing a Mac Pro system when FCP6 gets released.
I'm about to come over from Adobe Pre Pro2 & the Matrox Card(which added a tremendous amount of RT to Premiere)
What cards would you recommend to do the same in a Mac Pro?
    Are they reliable?
My budget for a card is under $2000.
One with some aditional inputs & outs wouldn't hurt but my main concern is as little rendering as possible.
I will be doing mostly DV, but within a year or so will be doing HDV.
Here's your chance to turn a PC guy,
    Steve from NY

Their cards will enable MORE effects to be RT for certain codecs, like HDV and DVCPRO HD. The 3-way color corrector is an RT effect already. But what also helps with RT effects, mainly with PiP and multi-layers is a really fast RAID array. MULTIPLE STREAMS is the term used for multiple layers of video. So with a single firewire 400 drive, you can get one stream of DVCPRO HD. But with a 5 drive RAID, you can get about 6 streams.

Running Moutain Lion on Early 2009, mirroring two Seagate Go Flex 2TB USB 3.0 Drives. Installed in Slot 4.
Using it primarily with VMWare Fusion for Virtual Drives. Windows, Unbuntu and other OS running really well.
HPT Support was responsive and very helpfull using the WEB Portal under the product page.
I have some comments and a suggestion:
Have you tried your setup with a SD/CF combo card reader (like the Lexar or Kingston FCR-H63)? Does the card appear on the desktop when first plugged in?
Did you need to fool around with any kind of power issues in installing this card in the x4 PCIe slot of the MacPro?
Suggestion. Have you tried one of the fixed in this article to cure the BT issues in MacPro 3,1?
    Good luck.

  • MP early 2008: Seeking advice on e-sata card and external enclosure for backup purposes

    Hi everyone
I currently have my home folder on an internal 3TB drive which is SuperDuper'd every day to an identical internal drive.
I am running out of space and need to think of a longer-term solution. I will have to use several large drives - one drive for photos, one for iTunes library, one for documents etc. Each drive would be mirrored with SuperDuper to something like an IcyCUBE and connected through a PCIE e-sata card. I'm not considering any form of RAID solution.
Is Sonnet still the card manufacturer to go for - if so, is the E2P the card I need? Are there alternative cards and if so what should I look for (certain chipsets perhaps)?
Are there any known compatibility problems between certain cards and certain drive enclosures?
Is there a way to have only one cable between the computer and the enclosure or must each drive have its own connection?
Thanks very much in advance for any help with this.
    Cheers
    Philip

E2P is a low end two port card with limitation in bandwidth. Maybe you want 4-port card to give you more growth and expansion.
Green drives may or may not be ideal for your media storage needs. Cheaper. When floods drove up prive of drives in Sept 2011 they become more popular as Black 2TB price went to $270
Clone  is one thing. Mirror is entirely different tech.
The issue are avoid those name brand WD and Seagate or LaCie enclosures.
Every new OS and Mac Pro has had some sort of change to drivers and such.
4TB drives should be part of your storage strategy.
Software RAID is fine with daily or as needed backups. Clone at least one, and TimeMachine for hourly. But never ever have only one backup set. One set should be off line and they would be rotated. For safety sake and avoid the all your eggs in one basket. Which is why yes internal is convenient but external drives and also drive enclosure that allows swapping.
A good USB3 + eSATA card is the most popular I think right now today.
And use Green 3-4TB for backup, and WD Black or enterprise for internal storage.

  • Need help with a SQL qurey that returns multiple rows for one record?

I have the following query where I use a CASE WHEN clause to determine the date of a shift that begins with "FRLO" on day1 - day14 of the pay period. It works great if a schedule record contains one day that begins "FRLO", but if more than one day is "FRLO" then it only returns the first day it finds and not the others. Is there some way to get the query to return a ron for every day 1 - 14 that begins "FRLO"? System if Oracle 11G
Order of the results is not important as this is part of a larger query that orders the results.
Thanks in advance for any help,

Do you have the opportunity to change the data model to have one day per row ? It would make this easier to get this result without the need for a 14-way CASE or UNION.
    If not...
The case statement will return as soon as it matches one of the conditions. Since you want a match when any column in the row starts with FRLO you can use a UNION ALL treating each column as a separate result. There may be more efficient ways to do this, but here is one way:
Select S.Empid,       Pp.Startpp Startdate,       Null Starttime,       Null Endtime,       8 Hours,       0 Minutes
From Schedules S       Join  Payperiods Pp On Pp.Periodid = S.Periodid
      Where Upper (Substr (S.Day1, 0, 4)) = 'FRLO'
    Union All
Select S.Empid,       Pp.Startpp+1 Startdate,       Null Starttime,       Null Endtime,       8 Hours,       0 Minutes
From Schedules S       Join  Payperiods Pp On Pp.Periodid = S.Periodid

  • Can I return my macbook for a new one?

The rumors are that the new Lion comes out this week, i just bought a macbook pro last week and its has the current OS can i got to the store and return my macbook for the new one with the new system?

    Lion Up-To-Date upgrade
"The Mac OS X Lion Up-To-Date upgrade is available at no additional charge via the Mac App Store to all customers who purchased a qualifying new Mac system from Apple or an Apple Authorized Reseller on or after June 6, 2011. Users must request their Up-To-Date upgrade within 30 days of purchase of their Mac computer. Customers who purchase a qualifying Mac between June 6, 2011 and the date when Lion is available in the Mac App Store will have 30 days from Lion’s official release date to make a request." • Can I return my iPad2 for the new iPad

My parents bought me the new ipad2 in January and they also pay for the one year guarantee. The iPad 2 is brand new in good condition. Now, can I return my ipad2 for the new iPad without paying?

No, unless the store you bought it from has a very generous return policy - the Apple Store official policy is 14 days. The one year warranty is on defects in the product, not for upgrading. You can sell your iPad and use the funds to buy a new one, but you will likely sell for less than you paid.

  • Return delivery process for Individual PO

    Hi,
what is the process of returning an item to Vendor and what g/l accounts does it hit?
This is concerning Individual PO process (customer -> client -> vendor; vendor delivers to client then client delivers to customer)
I know the process is supposed to reverse g/l postings that were affected during goods receipt, MIRO, outgoing/incoming invoice
but i'm not exactly sure about transaction code involved. Can anyone help?
case 1) goods receipt posted (reverse: CREDIT inventory account, DEBIT GR/IR account)
case 2) goods receipt posted and incoming invoice posted (reverse: CREDIT inventory, DEBIT GR/IR, cancel incoming invoice)
case 3) goods receipt posted, incoming invoice posted, payment to vendor posted
(how do we reverse posting to account payable and cash account here?)
case 4) goods receipt posted, incoming invoice posted, payment to vendor posted, customer invoice posted
case 5) goods receipt posted, incoming invoice posted, payment to vendor posted, customer invoice posted, customer invoice paid.
(how do we reverse posting to account receivable and cash account here?)
I think i have case 1) and case 2) down but i'm not sure what transaction to use for case 3 - 5.
How is account payable and receivable, inventory account, GR/IR, Cost of Goods Sold, and cash accounts going to be reversed?
    Thanks.
    Quyen

    Hi
what is the process of returning an item to Vendor and what g/l accounts does it hit?
    genral process is
Create a PO with Returns indicator flagged for the Line item
Perform the Goods receipt of return PO using transaction MIGO (movemnt type 161)
      Credit  - Invenotry Account
      Debit  - GR/IR account
Perform the Vendor Invoicing in MIRO
Select the Document type as Credit memo instead of invoice
        Debit  - Vendor Account
        Credit - GR/IR account.
In Individual PO process the same is performed but with account assignment of Returns sales order.
I have not understood the cases but i tried to answer your question upto an extent, please let me know if you have further queries
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi Don ...
"Although you can browse the iTunes Store in any country without being signed in, you can only purchase content from the iTunes Store for your own country. This is enforced via the billing address associated with your credit card or other payment method that you use with the iTunes Store, rather than your actual geographic location."

I have an older Power Mac G5 Quad, and my video card just went out. I am trying to find a video card that will work for my Power Mac. I have duel screens but I can't seem to find the appropriate video card. The serial number on my computer is: RM620603R6W. Apple won't help me because the computer is older than suggested. Please give me the exact video card that will work best for my computer.

Hi Mike, make sure the card has Mac ROM, or is a PC card with Mac ROMs flashed to it...
G5 PCIe options are listed here:

  • Performance Profiler returning zero seconds for all vi's

I tried running the performance profilers, and it returns 0 seconds for all vi's. This certainly cannot be the case. Am I running the program incorrectly?
    thanks
    Phil B

I run vi's continuously for a while. If you don't do that, you will only see the total time of that particular vi. Also switch to microseconds.
