  • General differences - Bold and Curve

What are the basic differences and capabilities of all series of bold and curve? I've looked through their basic features, and obviously they each have blackberry standard applications. It looks like the curve may be more for multimedia and social. If so, what is the bold better for?
    `violent rain

    Hiya!
The main differences are in the hardware.
The curve is an entry level device wheras the Bold is a higher end (and more expensive) device

  • General Questions about BI

    Hello,
I want to get into SAP BI and have some questions about it.
Is there a big downside in installing only the BI components without the Java BI components, or is it even possible if you want to work with BI. What are the general differences between BI and Java BI?
I think the main aspects i will work with will be data warehousing and some basic reporting.
The reason why i'm asking is that i want to run the BI components in the same system as the ECC Server (its just a test system). I read that the Java BI component needs EPC and EP and that would probably be too much for a single system (6 GB RAM).
    Thanks a lot in advance,
    Martin

Thanks for your hints, they were really helpful.
As i mentioned i mainly want to work with the general Data Warehouse and Reporting capabilities, so i think it should be okay.
Actually i'm planing to write about BI and SAP within my master thesis.
Another question, what will be with SAP BI in the future regarding the Business Object acquisition? Is there still any point in learning SAP BI or will SAP BI disapear in the future? I heard that the basic BI functionality (e.g. Datawarehouse ) will still be used but the reporting capabilities  would be disappear. I'm not sure if that is right and i'm really new to this topic. So any comments are welcome.
    Thanks,
    Martin

  • Is there a difference between Adobe Photoshop 7.0 and Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.0?

Is there a difference between Adobe Photoshop 7.0 and Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.0?

Yes: (these are just general differences, not specific to either photoshop 7 or photoshop elements 7)
(photoshop elements does offter one thing not mentioned that photoshop 7 doesn't have, a camera raw plugin that doesn't cost extra)
(photoshop elements 10 and photoshop cs5 are the current versions)

  • Main Limitations of FCE4 & Differences with FCP

What are the main limitations of FCE4 and what are the main differences it has with FCP?
One thing that I don't like is that iMovie '08 can import and use 1920 x 1080 clips without extra rendering, but FCE4 (a clearly superior program) can't! How did this get past Apple? I know that FCP can take it (but I don't have $1200!).
    I have a Canon HF10 and I don't like the fact that I am basically forced to work in 1440 x 1080 when I have a 1920 x 1080 capable camera.
Is there an easy way to record in 1920 x 1080 and then still be able to use it in FCE4? Maybe by way of iMovie '08? How much time would this add to the process (as it is already pretty deplorable, using AVCHD and all)...
    Any thoughts, ideas?
    Thanks all!

I don't know whether you wanted to know the general differences, but your first sentence (originally) seemed to suggest it ?
The 2 apps work the same and FCE has exactly the same effects and transitions except for the Smoothcam filter and the 3 way color corrector (FCE has a 2 way one).
FCE can only edit DV, HDV and AVCHD.
There are numerous other (minor) differences but they are unlikely to be of any importance to anyone other than a studio of top pro editors using specialised cameras and techniques.

  • Collection question(difference in some methods)

    Good evening,
when we have a collection(whatever collection is that) what's the general difference between the method size() and capacity(),i mean which size do the return?
Also, whats the difference between remove and retrieve?
    Thanks,in aadvance!

Thank you very much,i understood it now :)
    1) I saw the constructor of HashTable(int initial
    capacity,float LoadFactor)
what is this load factor?I'm pretty sure the docs explain it, but I think it's how much of its capacity the hashtable will use up before it allocates more buckets and rehashes.
If you don't understand what that means or why it matters, start here (the Table Resizing bit is what's relevant), and google for more info on hashing if needed: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hashtable
Again, it's one of those things that you can tweak if you need to, but you usually don't need to.
2)Also,a clone method only copies a collection and
returns an object of the collection? It creates a new collection. That collection has its own references to the same elements as the orignal. The elements themselves are not duplicated.
3)we use a constructor to make a new collection e.g.
    List hey = new List();
this command takes O(n) time or O(nlogn) time?Well, you can't do new List(), since List is an interface.
If you mean, for example, new ArrayList(), then that's O(1), or possibly O(capacity).
If you mean, for example, new ArrayList(existingCollection), then it's O(n), where n is the size of the existing collection. You have to copy each reference.

  • Split of delivery notes

    Hello forum,
for a customer project there is a requirement, that there is no need for a separate delivery note if the
    plant calender
    currency of the order
    payment term
    are different.
Is it useful to suppress those criteria and where I have to do it?
    Any input is welcome
    Thnak you for your time
    Norbert

    HI,
Generally, difference in VBPA and LIKP table can lead to delivery split.
I checked  LIKP, but I cannot see feilds:
    "plant calender"
    "payment term"
Have you developed any coding to fill LIKP-ZUKRL according to these fields?
For feild "currency of the order", there is this field in LIKP table.
If this feild is not necessary, you can set this feild to blank in copy routine. Then, it won't lead to delivery split.
See note 546668 for more infroamtion.

  • Not handled by BPM exception

Hi guys, I got a question that hopefully you experts can help me. I got a scenario and using BPM like this: HTTP --> XI --> SAP --> XI --> ORACLE Storedprocedure.
For each XI communicating with 3rd party (HTTP, SAP, ORACLE) , i'm using synchronous call. For each those synchcronous call in BPM, i also already provide an exception branch. The problem is, when there is an exception occurs when calling the ORACLE storeprocedure (see error below), it doesn't go to my exception branch. Anybody know why?
    the Error is:
    <SAP:Error xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="1">

    Hi Made,
    >>>The problem is, when there is an exception occurs when calling the ORACLE storeprocedure (see error below), it doesn't go to my exception branch.
You should build a switch, where you decide by the content of the response, if you go on or jump into a exception branch. Just log a successful answer and a exception, they must have a general difference, may be search for "exception". This difference is to be pointed in X-Path of switch.

  • Read Differentiation Value in Real Time

    HI!
I have a analog input, and I am going to read the differentiation
value of analog input in REAL time! I did try the differentiation.vi
in Labview before, unfortunately it didn't work properly! Can anybody
help me to solve this problem please! Thank you!

    Hi,
If I understand correctlly, you want to differenciate [dx(t)/dt] the input
signal. To make this discreet, you must calculate the difference between
current sample and the previous sample, devided by the time difference (
    DX/DT ).
    so :
Value X1 on T1 (previous sample)
Value X2 on T2 (current sample)
    difference = (X1-X2)/(T1-T2)
    or in general: difference = (Xn - X'n-1') / (Tn - T'n-1')
    Regards,
    Wiebe.

  • Canon 7D Raw Support in Aperture 2 after installing Aperture 3 trial

    Hi!
I'm having a really weird problem! A few months ago I purchased Aperture 2 and have been working with it ever since. About a week ago I installed the Aperture 3 trial to see what the general differences are. After playing with it I noticed not enough "useful" changes compared to Aperture 2 to actually purchase Aperture 3. So I removed Aperture 3 and went back to my good old Aperture 2.
Two days ago I bought the Canon EOS 7D, but when connecting to my Mac the Raw files are not supported by Aperture 2! While I was trying out Aperture 3 I used software update to update Camera Raw as well and it seems that Camera Raw Update 3.2 enabled Aperture 3 to work with my 7D's raw files but disabled Aperture 2 to support them! I searched the Apple support pages for older versions of Camera Raw and came across version 2.7 which should enable Aperture 2 to work with the EOS 7D. But as expected, I cannot install 2.7 because 3.2 is already installed!
Does anyone know wether it's possible to "downgrade" camera raw to version 2.7? Or is there any other solution to my problem? It can not believe that an innocent Aperture 3 trial forces me to actually upgrade to Aperture 3 because Aperture 2 now refuses to support my brand new 7D?! Is there anyone on this forum familiar with this problem and able to help me? Many thanks in advance!
    Kind regards,
    Mick van Jaarsvelt

I am running with same type of problem. I have Aperture 2.0 and can not work the Raw files from my Canon 7D. I have no problems working Raw files from my old Rebel Canon camera. Did you solve your problem?

Rolando - We don't need all that information about the data model and such. Can you describe what the application does on the page that gives the error? I mean, you submit the page, it performs some after-submit processes (what do they do and how many processes are there?) and then it has some kind of branch to the same page or another page. Describe the processes, show us the success message for each process, exactly as they are formatted in the process definition page, and describe the branches (to the same page, another page, do they use URL redirects? And also please post the entire URL that you see when the error page is displayed.
Finally, please provide all the output from the About HTML DB page: Workspace Home -> Click the About HTML DB link under Workspace Administration on the far right side of the page. Then copy all the output and show it here.

  • Crashes when editing during playback

I have been very frustrated with trying to make edits while logic plays back audio. I've used most other DAWs and never had this problem. It seems like every time I try to make an edit, or pull up a plug in (while mixing), or save the project, playback stops either momentarily if I'm lucky, or more likely altogether. Often I will get a beach ball hang for a minute or more, and sometimes will have to force logic to quit. I have now "built into" my workflow stopping playback before pressing ANY key at all.
I've just seen the discusison on nicing logic, and I've got the script up and running, which does seem to make a general difference, but does not solve this specific problem. CPU is not maxxed or even close, by the way. This is one of the main issues which is forcing me to re-consider my switch to logic a year ago. now that I'm "fast" with the commands, logic can't keep up.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Yes, a song with a bunch of edits will task the hard drive a lot more.
As far as the other things:
    1. I don't do this. I do stop the sequencer to insert a plugin. Saves my speakers and my ears from any pops / etc.
    2. I also don't do this during playback. Why? Because you are writing this crossfade onto the disk, and if you are playing back a large number of tracks...well theres the performance issue again.
    3. I do do this, and have no issue with it so far. My sessions regularly run 24 to 50 audio tracks.
    4. The only editing I do perform when playgin back is basic region length changes, like removing silences between vocal lines. usually because of 2" tape transfers, the noise floor is too high to accurately use the strip silence function properly, so I do it by ear as the song goes by.
I don't usually freeze files, I render them, and remove the plugins. I COMMIT, man. Nothing quite like a commitment.
    Cheers
