Generate an output on change of delivery
With config we can generate a output when a new delievery iscreated, but how to generate a output when a change takes place in the delivery or any item is deleted from the delivery.
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
You can assign delivery program and Form routine in "Change Output" section in General tab of output type configuration to record the changes made in delivery. After making this setting when ever you change something in delivery change messge /change output will be generated. In the form routine basically you code what changes do you want to track and send as change output.
I did this change recently so it was on top of my mind

Auto generate IDOC Changed/Deleted Delivery
I'm able to manually send delivery information via EDI port when VL02N --> extras --> delivery output but i'm unable to create a new IDOC when changing a delivery or deleting a delivery and hitting save. >>>Can someone help me understand what has been missed? I would like an IDOC to generate anytime the document is changed or deleted.
you're on the right forum for this:)
for deletion you have two choices:
a) write your own code
b) turn on DWMS (decentralized warehouse management system) which will output any changes to the delivery on a particulat storage location - I've used this functionality on a few project and it was always the best choice for any delivery related outputs especially with relation to external WMS
so I'd rather go for DWMS if you have any MM knowledge
BTW
there are a few DWMS config documents on the internet so you should be able to do it easily

Restricting Changes in Delivery after proforma invoice is generated
Hi All,
I have a requirement where i would like to restrict certain changes in delivery document for which proforma invoice is created so that the final invoice remains in line with the proforma invoice.
for. example. change in item quantity, adding another items etc.
is there any configuration settings for the same?Hello,
When do you create Proforma Invoice? After PGI or before PGI.
If you are creating Proforma after PGi then there is no issue as Delivery Cannot be changed after PGI.
If you are issuing Proforma Invoice before PGI then you will have to go for a Z-Development as there is nothing available in SAP Standard to fulfill your requirement.
Hope this helps,
Thanks,

Unable to generate the output for S_ALR_87012048
Dear All,
We are trying to execute the report S_ALR_87012048 for the first period in 2015. We have tried execute this report with report date 25.01.2015 (which is the last day in period 01), but it is giving no data was selected.
Can anybody suggest whether I need to give any further inputs to generate the output apart from the below.
Co.code : 9000
Reporting date : 25.01.2015 (which is the last day in our fiscal period 01 /2015)
Dep area : 01
Sort Variant : 03 (co.code / bs accounts / asset class)
User able to execute this report in the last month successfully.
We have completed all year ending process as well.
I have tried execute this report in our quality system with reporting date as 31.12.2014 and 31.12.2015.
Do we need to give reporting date as year ending date ? or last date of current period.
Thanks in Advance.
PrasadHi Prasad,
I do believe that you should consider the authorization side of the matter carefully as pointed out by Mahmoud on Feb 6th. Please check again the mentioned SAP Notes in that thread.
For example, I just tested in my system, I can trigger a report even in a closed fiscal year with a report date end of each period. The only difference is that I get a information message:
Report date is in a closed fiscal year
Message no. AU172
Diagnosis
The report date is in the past.
Here the report date is allowed to be the end of the year as well as any
period end during the fiscal year.
System Response
In an asset report during the fiscal year (report date for a period end
within the year) in a closed fiscal year, it can be the case that the results
for depreciation or the net book value are different between the historical
calculation and the current calculation for the report date. The reason for this
are any changes to asset-related depreciation terms, such as the depreciation
key, useful life, and so on. In the case of such changes, the asset values are
recalculated with the currently entered depreciation terms.
In an open fiscal year and a report date end of period I do not get AU172 and get an output.

Table for output type of a delivery document
Hi guys,
Would you know where could I find the output type of a delivery document espcially after I posted a GI in Shipment? Basically, It should reflect in devlivery document. So I am not sure if I should look at the delivery tables or goods issue.
Help me guys!
POints for the helpful ideas.
THanks!Hi,
There are 2things to be noted here.
1. If your output type was already triggered once, then it should be visible in display mode also, with a Green colour button (if it is processed and the print out is obtained). The fact that the output type is not seen in display mode, says that the output type so far has nto been triggered.
2. Seeing the output type coming in yellow colour in change mode of delivery document is expected. This means that the output is getting triggered now.If you save teh document now, you will get the print out. When you go in display mode again after a gap of say 1min, you can see the same output in Green colour as mentioned earlier.
I hope this clarifies your doubt. Please let me know if you need some more info
You can reward me if it helped you -

Abdul.Hello Hussein,
Thanks.
Before I could ask the DBA to chage the DIPLAY parameter, I could see error in FNDOPP*.txt file, as some issue with tag "split-by-page-break".
Accordingly I removed the tag from the template file ( RFT File). Now the request is getting Completed with Normal status. And generating the PDF output.
I found a hit in the metalink for this issue, which suggests a PATCH 4206181 (XDO.5.5) to get this functionality.
Accordingly the PATCH is applied.
Now when trying to query the template name from the XML Publisher Administrator Responsiblity, page is getting errored with the below message.

XML Elements Ordering in Generated XML Output
I have a requirement where I need the xml element tags to appear in the generated xml output in the same order as in data template definition but in my case this is not happening. I have one master group - Customer and two subgroups - BillingAddress and ShipToAddress. The subgroups appear below some master elements eg. Contact but above other master elements eg. Telephone . However when the xml output is finally generated all the Master Elements appear first followed by the subgroup elements. Does anyone know how I can rectify this?
See below:

is anyone able to advise?
RaniIf you know the changes necessary then you could write an XSL transformation to do them. But a generalized piece of code that examined an XML document and a schema, then produced a corrected document, would be quite difficult to write.

Easiest and/or best methods for generating XML output (not with a report)
Hi, several of our EBS customers (11.5.10) are converting their PDF reports to use XML/BI publisher to produce output. The data stream comes from a report that generates the XML output, and then the XML template is applied. This works great ... no problems, etc. From what I have read, however, Oracle intends to treat the traditional Forms and Reports Developers as legacy tools (although still supporting them, of course).
My question is if I wanted to ditch using Reports to generate XML output, what, in your opinion or in your current usage, is the easiest way of getting this data? In Reports, the data modeler is excellent in providing a method to write your queries, split them into different repeating groups, write formula and summary columns, link multiple queries, etc, etc. If one were to become Reports Developer free, what comparable tools are available to take its place? I would expect this tool to handle a mix of GUI and coding like the Reports data modeler. Please note that I'm not looking for an EBS-specific solution -- say for a custom application using regular Oracle 10g DB and iAS, with BI Publisher for reporting.
Thanks for your feedback,
RyanWhat I'm looking for is to not use Oracle Reports to generate the XML data output since Oracle's statement of direction is pushing BI Publisher rather than Oracle Reports as the preferred tool for reporting. That said, the data modeler in Reports provides a very flexible tool to construct and link multiple queries and to manipulate the queries into several levels of a master/detail relationship. Further, the mix of GUI and coding makes setting up the data model a lot more efficient. What I'm looking for (and I don't know if anything exists) is something comparable that can be used to generate XML output from the DB -- the idea being that I wouldn't use legacy tools, like Reports, for this task. I hope that is clearer.
Really, another way of answering my question is, aside from Reports and the APIs mentioned so far, what are my fellow developers using, if anything, to extract XML data in a way that handles the features i list above? -
Generate XML output using DBMS_XMLGEN.getxmltype and not from rdf
Hi,
I have a requirement to display output from a particular table in XL format. Out of all the known possible options, I am planning to use the XML publisher to generate XL output.
For the data source, instead of using the conventional way of creating XML data using rdf,I am planning to use DBMS_XMLGEN.getxmltype pl/sql procedure to generate the XML output. And from the output, call the template to generate the required Excel output.
Now, I am using the following code to generate XML output but am not sure how to proceed from here. I need to first print the XML data in the FND Output file after which I was planning to call the 'XML Report Publisher' (XDOREPPB) program and use the current request id to get the excel output but I am not able to find the way to print the XML data in the output file as:
fnd_file.put_line (fnd_file.output, l_xml_type); - is throwing an error as l_xml_type is an XML data output.
PROCEDURE xml_main (
errbuf OUT VARCHAR2
,retcode OUT VARCHAR2
,p_project_from IN VARCHAR2
,p_project_to IN VARCHAR2
AS
l_xml_type XMLTYPE;
BEGIN
SELECT DBMS_XMLGEN.getxmltype
('SELECT fnd_global.conc_request_id
,TO_CHAR (segment1)
,to_char(start_date,''MM/DD/RRRR'')
,to_char(xxmcc_project_details_pkg.current_profit_projection
(project_id),''999,999,990.90'')
,to_char(xxmcc_project_details_pkg.cost_to_date (project_id),''999,999,990.90'')
,''1''
FROM pa_projects_all
WHERE segment1 BETWEEN NVL (p_project_from, segment1)
AND NVL (p_project_to, segment1)')
INTO l_xml_type
FROM DUAL;
fnd_file.put_line (fnd_file.output, l_xml_type);
END xml_main;
Can anyone point me as to how to publish XML output using a PL/SQL procedure (DBMS_XMLGEN.getxmltype)
Thanks.Pl see if the example included in this presentation helps http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/applications/Events/OOW-2006/EBS/S281401_Sridhar_Bogelli.pdf
Also, you do not need to explicitly call XDOREPPB in later versions of XML Publisher. If you set up everything correctly (as described in the presentation above and the link below) the Output Post Processor is called automatically after the XML file is generated successfully.
Another excellent tutorial is at http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/fusion_middleware/fusion/bi/xmlp_ebiz/index.html

How to change a delivery from complete order to partial order
Hi,
We have create a delivery from a sale order that initially it was a complete order. During the picking of the TO we found a difference of stock of one unit. We asked to the client if they accept the partial order and they said that there was no problem.
We change the sales order from complete to partial, but the delivery is not accepting the difference, is always warning that we haven't arrive to the quantity.
I have read that there is no way to change the delivery so we have to delete it and create a new one. But we have a problem, the original one was of 56 pallets and all of them are done and label except the last one, if I delete de delivery I will have to move the TO again to the stock and dismount the 56 pallets, and repeat the picking, so, somebody knows a solution to avoid this and not move again everything just for one piece?
ThanksHi Allen
Well the problem is that the order is finished but with a difference os 1 unit of the 259 that we have to pick.
If I cancel the order I will have to move all the material to the bins that they proceed and repeat the picking with a new order to pick exactly the same amount of material that I have now.
The problem is, how do I make a new delivery and a new order but without moving the material to the bins and repeat the picking again?
Best Regards and thanks for your time

Report to Monitor the change of delivery address on the delivery document
Is there a report that can show me when a user had changed the delivery address in a sales document or delivery document. The ship to # would stay the same but the address can be changed within the sales document which does not effect Master Data records.
We are trying to moitor this to find where users have modified the address when shipping a delivery.
ThanksGrant,
I was unable to find a solution to your problem. I think it is unlikely that this change
when a user had changed the delivery address
is explicitly recorded by SAP. In the systems I looked at today, address changes in Sales docs are not among those that are automatically recorded.
You can, however, look in table VBPA. If an address has been entered manually (vs the normal automatic determination via customer master tables), then VBPA-ADRA is changed to 'E'. Unfortunately, I can't find any place where this event is time-stamped, or the user responsible is recorded. You might be able to intuit the user using other means.
