Generate DB DOC functionality should be able to specify a schema like TOAD.
I have created a request for this previously. I was hoping it wold be in the next release.
Its awesome to be able to specify a schema if you have the rights to generate documentation for it.
Generate DB DOC functionality should be able to specify a schema like TOAD.
Description I like the Generate DB DOC functionality.
It only seems to work for the account you are connect to.
I would like to see it work more like TOAD in that you could specify a schema and see the layout of that schema without having to find the account for it if you have rights to the objects via SELECT_CATALOG_ROLE or SELECT DICTIONARY_ANY or whatever objects you have rights to..
This is good for admins who have dictionary rights but now the password of the schema or a person who has been granted rights to a particular set of objects..
Looks like I got to sign onto TOAD to do this one for now since I don't know the schema password..

DOC should be a normal Word document and we should be able to define the header style
Hi Team,
We are facing a issue with the pre assigned headers assigned by Adobe acrobat Pro Xl.
Our actual requirement is as follows:
1. As we convert a PDF to DOC there shouldn't be any pre assigned headers (header levels defined).
2. DOC should be a normal Word document and we should be able to define the header style.
We have tried working out on the same but nothing is going our way.
We tried couple of step which are as follows:
1. Deleting pre assigned TAG's.
2. Clearing headers with the help of Touch Up Reading Order Tool (TURO).
Request you to kindly revert on the same.1. As we convert a PDF to DOC there shouldn't be any pre assigned headers (header levels defined).
You cannot control how Acrobat creates the word file.
2. DOC should be a normal Word document and we should be able to define the header style.
The word file is a normal Word document file. You may wish it was designed for it to be easiest to edit. Acrobat is making a Word file to most reliably resemble the original pdf file. I have no trouble creating any header style I want. The text in the header frequently consists of text boxes. Acrobat does this to insure accurate representation of the pdf file. -
Generate a .doc with Bps
Hi all experts,
I have no much idea about Bps, but in my company we have this problem and we would like to solve it:
- We would like to present via Bps a web based form to insert data in a textarea and when the user clicks "submit" button, we would like to generate a .doc file with that data and store the document in our server.
Is this possible?
Could anybody share information, links,... about this?
If is not possible, there's another way for doing this??
Thanks a lot in advance.
Alberto.Thanks a lot for your replies guys.
I really don't know what type of file generates BPS. HTML File?
Could I be able to insert Javascript code in that file?
If so, maybe I could create an ajax function in that Html file and call to a web service deployed in my server to create the .doc file.
Could be this possible?
Maybe I'm speaking about impossible things but, as I have told before, I've no much idea about BPS...
Thanks a lot.
Alberto.

Unable to generate accounting docs for invoice.
hi all,
I have a delivery related billing invoice created in May 2010 that we're attempting to cancel. We created a MIRO invoice against a sales generated PO tied to the Sales order for the invoice.
Subsequently, in August, we determined that we needed to cancel the MIRO invoice, and discovered it's necessary to reverse the sales order Invoice first (subsequent docs.)
In attempting to cancel the SD billing document, we received several error messages that prevented the creation of the invoice. We were eventually able to create the invoice by changing the billing date to the current date (from the defaulted may date) and things got interesting.
We created a SD cancellation invoice in Aug but were not able to generate accounting docs
I thought that if we updated the billing date to this month we would be able to process. So updating the billing date to 09-13-2010 (today) I receive this error
System error in the FI interface
If we modify to any date before September, we receive the following error message, which we expect, since we've closed prior period.
Posting period MMM YYYY is not open (billing dates attempted - 07-31-2010, 08-05-2010, 8-31-2010)
If i process using a september date, the changd date is not retained. only non september dates (also attempted 10-1-2010) are retained. This leads me to believe that there's an issue that's outside of the billing date causing the problem.
Can someone provide some input on how to properly address this invoice and allow it to generate accounting documents?You could be encounrtering related FI errors. Release your billing document in VFX3 and refer to the details in the error logs.

Generated XML doc file contains comments from MFC source code
Hello, in my project I use the option /doc to generate XML doc file from my source codes but unfortunately in the output XML file there are mixed also comments from original MFC source codes, see the part of generated xml file:
Is there a solution to ignore these MFC cpp files?
Many thanks

Based on your issue, could you please tell me how you use the option /doc to generate XML doc file from your source codes?
If you use the option /doc to generate the XML doc file by right-click the your MFC project->Properties->Configuration Properties->C/C++->Output file->set the Generate XML document files as Yes(/doc) like the following screen shot.
(1)If yes, since we could not reproduce your issue in mu side, so if possible, I suggest you could share me your MFC project so that we will further help you support this issue.
You could upload your MFC project to the OneDrive and then copy link here.
(2)If no, please try the above way to generate XML doc file and then check if you still get same issue.

In which condition Table valued function should prefer over SP except use in joins?
Hi,
My requirements is:
Entity framework needs to call DB object (TVF or SP), which will provide some data to them and they'll work on it at app level.
DB object would be simple, one result set, it will join 5 tables and get around 30 columns to them. it would be parameterized query so can't use view.
Now my question is what DB object would be best to use, table valued function or store procedure. and why?
I google on it, I find some interesting links (example http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms187650(v=sql.105).aspx)
they mentioned conditions to convert SP to TVF but not mentioned the reason, why I should convert?
Both have same cache plans strategy. SP has so many advantages over TVF, but I don't see any technical advantage of TVF over SP except it can be use in joins or so.
so In short my question is, why I can't use SP in all cases, why I would use TVF?, and which Table valued or multi-valued?
would appreciate your time and response.According to a few recent blogs you should be able to use TVP or stored procedure with EF 6.1.2 with ease. In our application we haven't switched yet to 6.1.2 (we're using 6.0.0) and there is no support for stored procedures or functions so we use StoreQuery.
I am wondering if you can share your experience of using EF with SP or TVP (and document the steps).
I am also wondering as how exactly it's working behind the scenes and where the full query is taking place. Say, in our case we may want to add some extra conditions after retrieving a set using, say, SP. Would the final query execute on the client (e.g.
SP executed on the server, result returned and then extra conditions executed on the "client")?
As I said, right now we're using StoreQuery which means that our extra conditions must be case - sensitive as opposed to SQL Server case insensitive. So, if someone already tried that scenario and can tell me how exactly it works, I would appreciate it.
Another question about EF - I defined a property as
[Column(TypeName = "varchar")]
public string PhoneNumber { get; set; } // area code + phone
and in the LINQ query as
var query = db.Accounts.Select(a => new AccountsList
AcctName = a.AcctName,
Contact = a.Contact,
FullName = a.FullName,
AreaCode = a.AreaCode,
Phone = a.Phone,
Hidden = a.Hide,
Hide = a.Hide,
PhoneNumber = a.AreaCode.Trim() + a.Phone.Trim(),
AcctTypeId = a.AcctTypeId
and I see that it's translated into CASE AreaCode IS NULL THEN N'' ELSE RTRIM(LTRIM(areaCode)) END + ...
My question is - why EF does it if there is no mentioning at all in the class as how NULL is supposed to be treated. Is it a bug?

Edited by: Yun-Chung Yung on Jun 3, 2010 10:46 PMHi,
SAP give note 539421 - Dummy profit center with cost center
account assignment. Looks applicable for your case.
Solution:
With the attached modification, you can restore the function from Release
3.1: The directly assigned profit center remains and is not overwritten
with the dummy profit center of the cost center.
The problem is not caused by a program error in this case. The profit
center is always derived from the existing CO account assignment even if
this is the dummy profit center (see also Note 62417).
This note applicable from release 40 until 605
I hope this can help you. FYI, in my case, i do not create dummy profit centre, then profit centre working as sap priority.

Hi, I hope you can help. I'm sure this is something really basic that I should be able to fix myself, but.................
I was working on a photo calendar on my macbook off the battery and the battery suddenly ran out. So it wasn't shut down properly. Now when I open i photo the coloured wheel just keeps spinning and I can't get into it. Everything else on the computer seems to work. I've done forced quit and restarted it a few times and also left it running.

Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

Enhancement request : add Generate DB Doc to sdcli.exe commandline API
It's would be nice to be able to call Generate DB Doc from the command line. This feature is not available in the 4.0.0.13 version. Or is there another way to do this?

Hi All, We are in to Release 11.5.10.2.There is a specific requirement to Prevent users from creating Manual Sales Orders in Oracle and yet users should be able to book the Sales Orders Imported from CRM system into Orcale.Please advise.
Thanks for your advise.
However, I missed to mention that we have two set of users One is for Finished Goods and another for Spares.
Only Spares users need to be prevented from creating Direct/Manual Sales Orders in Oracle.
As you suggested, if this will be done at Form level, that may Disallow FG users also to create Manula Sales Orders which should not be the case.
Further, I tried to test one scenario through Processing Constraints but it did not work.

The unlocked IPhone 4S models will not be available until November, Why is that? Why would Apple do that? I should be able to buy a factory unlocked Apple iPhone 4S when it comes out! I travel all over the world, and so that is why I need one like that. It is unfair to the consumer, and frankly turning away customers like myself willing to pay high dollar to Apple for their product, who can I speak with to complain about this, because I know their are factory unlocked iPhone 4S' sitting in a warehouse somewhere just waiting to be shipped, and I want one. I know why, cause Apple signed contracts with each carrier so the carrier could increase their sales making customers sign 2 year contracts, I get it, I own my own business, but the delay of releasing factory unlocked ones is just not right and I should be able to buy one without having to buy it over in the UK where it is unlocked when it comes out right away, I should be able to buy it in my own country! These business practices we practice in the US need to stop, their is a demand that needs to be met with consumers like myself who don't need subsidized iPhone's with 2 year contracts with carriers and don't mine paying full price for an unlocked one, it is unethical in a sense, forcing the customer to buy it with a carrier contract and NOT giving the customer the option to buy it full price and own it themselves, OR, making the consumer wait a month for that option to be available. THEY SHOULD BE RELEASED AT THE SAME TIME!!!!!! THAT IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO!!!!!!
Apple can contact me and I will proudly pay for one. But making me wait a month for an unlocked one, puts AT&T, Sprint & Verizon's interests before mine, and that is not right, for it is MY money that keeps you guys in business, so my best interests should come first!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I understand your frustration, but when any form of rationing is required you have to prioritise. The number of unlocked vs packaged phones will be quite small and the number of unlocked buyers wishing to upgrade immediately will be smaller still. Against this you have the corporations sharing $billions between them.
It would, you're correct, have been fairer to release all at the same time, but fairer doesn't come into it: it's business. -
how can someone use a stolen iphone? does erasing the phone (which I feel like I should do) make it easier for the thief to use the iphone? If I don't erase it, it doesn't seem like anyone should be able to use the phone because of my password. Also, is it possible to retrieve anything that has been sent to the phone (i.e. text messages) since it was stolen through icloud? The "find my iphone" app says the device is offline but it rings when I call my number -- any idea how that would be the case? Thanks!!
You have a password, so good move on your part. Whether you erase it or the thief does, they still get to use the iPhone as theirs. Which is more important (pick one), protecting your data or punishing the thief?
Ringing occurs at the carrier. Chances are you're going to voicemail after only two or three rings. If you have an iCloud backup also a good move. Re-read my question in the first paragraph.
