  • T-code to see the report generated by a Report Writer.

    Hi,
    I  am new to report writer and need your help.
    I have a output which is generated  through a report writer.
    I need to compare the code that generated this output in development and production systems.
    The only information I have is  the library name and a z report name which gives the output.(throgh t-code GR33)
    But when I try to execute the same report in Se 38, it says that te report does not exists .
    Please suggest what is the t-code to see the report generated by a report writer , so that I can compare the codes in different systems.
    Thanks,
    Suchi.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the replies.
    The actual issue is :
    I have  a report created by report writer in 2 languages in Chineese and in English.
    In the selection screen of the chineese report some of the labels are missing.
    It is getting printed as ####### instead of fiscal year , Period etc.
    This is happening only in production while in the development system it is correct (Both the chineese and the English selection screen ).
    I guess this is a transportation issue.
    Please suggest.
    I am ot able to see the Transport Requests associated with it .
    Can you please guide me for the same.
    Where can I see the TRs associated with this report.

  • Issues in generating xml from Report Builder as per XSD provided

    Hi,
    We are provided with XSD's for each report. Now we need to generate XML's from report that are as per the XSD's provided to us.
    But the problem come's when we have to define hirearchies.
    Like for example
    1. Our Report is based on the following query:
    SELECT DISTINCT '' as DUMMY
    ,               fil.file_number
    ,      TO_CHAR (TO_DATE (RTRIM (LTRIM (fil.processing_date)), 'YYDDD'),'DD-MM-YY') Processing_Dt
    , rp_bsu.service_user_number
    , rp_bsu.service_user_name
    ,     rp_ac.account_number
    , rp_ac.account_name
    ,     rp_ac.account_type
    ,     rp_ac.sortcode
    , NVL(ovr_lmt.account_section_value,0) AS
    account_section_value
    ,     NVL(ovr_lmt.overlimit_amount,0) AS overlimit_amount1
    , (NVL(ovr_lmt.overlimit_amount,0) - NVL(ovr_lmt.account_section_value,0)
    ) value_to_date
    , (NVL(ovr_lmt.overlimit_amount,0) -
    NVL(lmt_usg.limit_amount,0)
    ) amount_overlimit
    , ovr_lmt.over_limit_id, NVL(lmt_usg.limit_amount,0) AS
    limit_amount
    , lmt_usg.period_type,lmt_usg.currency
    FROM v_rp_bacs3day_service_user rp_bsu,
    v_rp_bacs_service_office rp_bso,
    v_rp_account rp_ac,
    t_file fil,
    t_over_limit ovr_lmt,
    t_limit_usage lmt_usg
    WHERE rp_bso.handling_bank_code = :p_scheme_member
    AND rp_bsu.sponsoring_bank_code = rp_bso.owning_bank_code
    AND rp_ac.service_user_number = rp_bsu.service_user_number
    AND rp_bsu.service_user_number = fil.originator
    AND fil.status <> 'R'
    AND fil.processing_date = (SELECT cycle_date
    FROM t_cycle
    WHERE status = 1)
    AND lmt_usg.account_id = rp_ac.account_id
    AND ovr_lmt.limit_usage_id = lmt_usg.limit_usage_id
    AND TO_CHAR (ovr_lmt.exceeded_date, 'DD-MM-YYYY') =
    (SELECT TO_CHAR (TO_DATE (RTRIM (LTRIM (cycle_date)),
    'YYDDD'),'DD-MM-YYYY')
    FROM t_cycle
    WHERE status = 1)
    2.The hierarchy as per xsd that we need to define is :
    <ServiceUserAccount>
    <ServiceUser>
         <Name></Name>
    <Number></Number>
    </ServiceUser> <SortCode></SortCode>
    <AccountNumber></AccountNumber>
    <NearOrOverLimitDetail>
    <AccountType></AccountType>
    <ProcessingDate></ProcessingDate>
    …………………..(there is a list of elements below it)
    </NearOrOverLimitDetail>
    </ServiceUserAccount>
    In the xsd for the complex element type “ServiceUser” we need to display Service User Name and Number. For this I created a separate query Q2 in reports and joined it using data link with the parent Q1(which has data grouped on processing date) . So that it can be displayed as a separate element parallel to other elements like Sort code ,Account Numbers. But when we generate XML for this, then tags for Q2 query donot appear in xml.
    And we get this hierarchy with missing Service User element
    <ServiceUserAccount>
    <SortCode></SortCode>
    <AccountNumber></AccountNumber>
    <NearOrOverLimitDetail>
    <AccountType></AccountType>
    <ProcessingDate></ProcessingDate>
    …………………..(there is a list of elements below it)
    </NearOrOverLimitDetail>
    </ServiceUserAccount>
    Please let me know if you have any solution to implement this ASAP as its very urgent.

    Hello,
    How do you execute your Reports ?
    Do you execute it from the Builder ?
    If you execute it from the Builder, do you use Run Web Layout or Run Paper Layout ?
    (If you have upgraded a Reports From 6i, there is no web layout , so you have to use the Run paper Layout
    The web layout is something new that appeared in Reports 9.0.2)

  • REP-0499 when generating PDF from report

    Hi,
    I have a simple query in data model where I'm selecting Oracle database object :
    select a.shape from table a;
    shape is shapedefinition type that is composed of :
    Axis varchar2(1),
    x number(2),
    y number(2),
    z number(2)
    when I generate report it works fine but when I try to generate to PDF file I get this error : REP-0499: Column 'Axis' selected by the query is incompatible with report definition
    But when I run similar report but database object is composed entirely of number types I don't have this prob.
    As far as I can tell, nothing has been changed in Database and it seems like this error only happens when I try to select from database object that contains varchar2 type.
    Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Keeyang

    Davey, please send me an InDesign Server document that I could use to reproduce this problem. My e-mail address is [email protected] Thank you. --DougR

  • Generate XML from report

    How can I generate a XML file from an existing .rdf file? So I can run the xml report by itself. The xml file will contain all report definition. Thanks.

    Unfortunately it currently isn't possible to use the builder to produce an XML definition of the report definition. This will be available in the next release (Reports 9i) which is currently expected to ship late summer/early fall. Until then, you need to code the definition in XML by hand. The tag reference is in Chapter 7 of the Publishing Reports manual.

  • Generate logs from user report options

    Hi all !
    I would like to know if there is a possibility to generate logs from report user selection:
    E.g: users can fill execution options to delimit the scope of the report execution and the output, company code, date ranges, account numbers, cost.
    - Is there a way to generate logs containing these report options that  were typed / filled by the user for every transaction executed?
    - If Yes could you please assist?
    Thanks in advance for the cooperation!
    Regards,

    There is a way of doing this using the object history, but the user can control this themselves and turn it off if they want to.
    Read the SAP notes on term "RSSGOSHIRE".
    Another way is to use parameter transactions or variant transactions, which the user cannot change or only change selected parameters for which you don't care about.
    Cheers,
    Julius

  • Exchange rate for Budget in KE5A PC report - report writer

    Hi Experts,
    The User is using the report  from report writer - 'P&L Actual - Plan Var MTD / YTD' in KE5A .
    The company code currency is Brazilian Rials and is converted to USD for the report.
    In the report the actuals column picks up the daily exchange and converts figures accordingly.
    However in the Budget coulmn the exchange rate has to be the 'P' rate which is not happening.
    The 'P' rate is for a full year and should not change.
    How to fix the issue so that the Budget column will pick up 'P' rate.
    Thanks
    Ven

    Ven Prakash,
    You mentioned the report is "Actual vs. Plan" while you said there is a budget column in the report. First you need to clear whether it is budget or plan value because SAP has both plan value and budget value in controlling.
    If it is budget value please check the budget profile to change the exchange rate type as you required. (TC: OKOB, OPS9)
    If it is plan value please check the CO version to change the exchange rate type under Settings for Each Fiscal Year (TC: OKEQ)

  • GR55-Report Writer output

    Hello Experts,
    I have a requirement to get the output from Report writer (GR55) and send it as an XML attchment in a mail to receipient.
    I have used the SUBMIT statement to access the GR55 in my Custom coding. I could find an option in GR55 to export the output in HTML format to SAP Memory. I am accessing this memory to read the output and send it as mail.
    But my requirement is to send this output as XML attached. Can you please suggest me the possibilities of achieving this?
    Thanks
    Dhurga

    Bala,
    We want to use the portal to publish the reports too but NOT in SAPGUI on the web.
    We were actually able to get it to work with an SAPGUI iView or "SAPGUI HTML" iView.
    However we want to capture the output of the report writer reports and render them in ABAP or JAVA webdynpro technology.
    Our Top Management does not like anything that resembles SAPGUI.
    How did you all do it?
    regards,

  • Transporting Report Writer Reports

    What is the best way to move report writer reports from development to quality assurance / testing to production environments?
    Currently, we use GR57 to "export" and GR58 to import.  Is this the only / best way?
    I am thinking that it would be easier if we could do this via traditional STMS / TMS functionality, transporting change requests that just so happen to be for a report writer report, just like we would for other changes, e.g. to ABAP programs.
    Any help is appreciated.

  • How to derive DTD from XML CLOB?

    I have a CLOB containing an XML document which I would like to derive the DTD for, what API can I use to do this? sample code would be appreciated.
    FYI, the CLOB is populated from HTTP request against a remote system, therefore I don't have the SQL to execute locally - that would be too easy!
    Many Thanks

    Do you mean you like to generate DTD from the CLOB XML document? Currently, XDKs don't support this.

  • How to generate XML Publisher report from PLSQL Stored Procedure in APPS

    Hi,
    I have concurrent program of type PLSQL Stored procedure.I need to generate XML Publisher report from the same.I have changed the output of the concurrent program as "XML" but when I tried running it,the XML tags are not generated.Due to this I am unable to create the template.Its a urgent issue.
    Please help me out .
    Thanks in advance.
    Kaveri

    Hi Kaveri
    Sadly there is nothing magic about that output field. The only program type that you can flip it to XML and then magically get XML is for Oracle Reports. For plsql you will need to recode the plsql to generate XML rather than text that you have now.
    You have some options, best option first:
    1. Move the sql to a data template - check the user guide and blog for help or
    2. Use SQL XML or XMLGEN (not great for large datasets) or
    3. Use dbms_output.put_line and write the XML file manually - not performant at all

  • Generating Excel Sheet from Reports ......

    Hi,
    I want to generate reports both in Oracle Reports 6.0, as well
    as in Microsoft Excel. The simplest solution I thought was to
    generate the Oracle Report first and then, give a button on the
    report, which when pressed, can scan the data in the generated
    report and write it into an Excel file. The writing part to
    Excel file, I can do by using the OLE2 automation. I am not able
    to find a way to read the data in the generated report
    programatically. Is this possible and if yes, then can anyone
    suggest me a way to do this. Is there an alternate solution to
