Generating function in for loop

I am generating a function sin[2*pi(24MHz + f)] - sin[24MHz]. The 'f' has to vary from -2MHz to 2MHz. I have to add the output of this loop with another 24MHz sine wave input. I have attached the code, please let me know whether what has been done is right or no.

No, you code makes no sense. You simply get an array of 10 identical values, because nothing changes as a function if iteration count.

I don't understand your formula, e.g. what is "sin[24MHz]"? Just a constant?
Is the solution 1D (y vs. f) or 2D (e.g. y vs. (f,t))?
Can you point to a web site that describes the math?

How to define function within for loop pls help?????

Hi this is the problem i have a class, and within that class there is an actionPerformed function, in this class i also create an instance of another class, this other class also contains an actionPerformed function, which wis executed if a jButton has been pressed, when I try to place this actionPerfromed function within a for loop of a function i get an error saying illegal start of experssion, and that the class should be defined abstract as it does not define actionPerformed, when i take it out of the for loop it compliles fine, i need the function to be placed within the for loop because it needs to know the variable of the for loop, is there anyway around this? Call Function not Generating Function Module for Smartform

Hi Gurus,
We have a work copy print program use to print deliveries (smartforms). This program works fine in Production but right now we are doing some testing and I found out that when we run this program in QUALITY environtment, it shortdumps with error saying "Function Module Not Found"
Basically when it gets to the Function Module "SSF_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME", it could not generate any function module for the form it Sy-Subrc = 2 Exception meaning NO_FUNCTION_MODULE.
The problem is this only happens in our QUALITY environment.I compare the function module in the 2 systems, there was not diff as this is a Standard SAP module. I passed diff smartforms we have in QUALITY through the FM and it will not generating any FM for any of them. So this is not an error from the smartforms, bcos all the same smartforms generates FM in Prod.
So what I did next is to Debug the FM "SSF_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME" in the 2 systems to see where the diff is coming from. I noticed 2 views that the FM is using, they are STXFADM and D010SINF . So on the Production system, STXFADM-LASTDATE and D010SINF-UDAT fields are the same value, so it generates the FM. On the QUALITY systems, the values are different hence it skips the code to generate the FM.

Function with for loop and parameter table/column names ... syntax help

I'm trying to create a function that returns the distinct values and counts from a user defined schema/table/column.
The code below defines an object type [stats_on_column_obj] and creates a single table of this type [stats_on_column_tab].
The function is supposed to take three input variables: p_schema_name, p_table_name, p_column_name and return a table (above).
I can hard code a SELECT statement into the () ... but once I try to convert it to parameters & exec immediate I am stuck. The red section is where the issue is (i think).

State Diagram inside For Loop

I created a fairly involved for-loop with a flat sequence inside of it. The sequence had about four events that occured, and since it was kind of ugly, I thought I'd try the State Diagram Toolkit to replace the majority of the code. When I selected state diagram from the pallete, I was outside my for-loop. I drew up the various states/transitions, then realized that all this code needed to be inside the for-loop, but LV won't let me place state diagram-generated code inside the for-loop. I select everything related to the state diagram, but when I drag into the for-loop, only the comments come inside. I even tried generating a new for-loop and placing the state code inside. No luck. Any thoughts?

Yes but not any that will help.
1) Just modify your SD so that the exit loops back to the start while there are still things to do. Forget the outer For loop.
2) THe observations you reported are correct. When I first discovered these limitiations I said "That sucks!". Since then I have learned a bit and have grown to love the SDE.
The SDE is JUST (note: "just" is a four letter word around here ) a LV application that ofers a very limited GUI consisting of a picture control that then scripts (see LAVA Scripting Forum for info on scripting) your SD for you. SCripting LV code is no easy task. My experiments with scripting has shown that I have to keep a database of the contents of the LV diagram my code is developing to keep track of what is where. Well it turns out that the structure of a LV diagram is a lot like the structure of a FP in that you start with a "root" object either the FP or the BD. THe BD then has structures on it, like seq's loops etc with unlited nesting possible.
Now the SD created by the SDE is really just a fancy while loop with an case structure and code to support the driving enum. In order for you to be able to edit the SD the SDE needs to know what is htere already so it can show the diagram. It "KNOWS" by looking at its internal DB (I believe is stored inside of VI along with the enum.ctl) of the SD. To keep the DB updated, the SDE must be used to manipulate the SD.
Stop rambling and guessing and get to the point!
Moving the SD is just not supported by the SDE so it can not be done. To do so would require the SDE be able to "look" at the diagram, and repeat all of its work in the new location in the diagram.
BTW: Thank you for trying out and asking about the SDE. the more talking we do on this subject, the sooner the SDE will be updated.

Add comments to diagram from SDE screen.
Add data structures to SD (shift registers) from SDE screen.
Add "un-do".
Select multiple objects on SDE screen and move or allign.
Select multiple objects on SDE screen and do "create sub-State-Diagram".
Allow watching more than one SDE in execution highlighting at the same time.

Function Module to Generate Outbound IDOC for Sales Documents

Hello Experts,
Can someone please help me, I need to know which function module to use in order to generate the outbound IDOC for sales documents. Some of the fm's I have come across are the following:
IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDERS, but actually for Purchase Orders
IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDRSP, but did not generate any IDocs for my sample Sales Order.

I'm having problems manipulating array data within a for loop, and extracting the required sub-arrays generated.

I'm using labVIEW V5.1
I'm trying to generate 10 1D arrays, the first array is initialized to all zeroes, then I have set up a for loop which shifts the first element by 1, then a random number is placed into the first element position. I am using a shift register to feed back in the newly generated array into the start of the loop.
By the end of the each loop I want to be able to use the array generated in an algorithm outside the loop. However I only want the Nx1 array that has just been generated.
Unfortunately, I cannot figure out how to resize, reshape or index the output array to do this.
I would like the loop to
give me out a 1D array after each iteration.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I hope I've understood your problem.
First your vi was lacking of the sub-vi working as shift register, I've replaced it with the rotate function.
The indexing of your arrays create a 2D array whose rows are your 1D array.To pick only one of them you have to use the index array function and select which one you want.
To use your temporary data in another part of your application you should use a local variable of array2.
I did it in a separated while loop That I syncronized with the for loop using occurrence, in this way the while loop runs each time a new value is inserted in array2 (each loop of the for loop structure).
If you don't need this syncronization just get rid of occurrence functions.
I place a delay in the for loop to show what happens when running.

Calling Function in a loop for CM

Hi,
I have the program to create Credit Memo with user selected records. It is working if the user selects any one customer and it will create CM for that customer. But now user wants to select different customers and based on each different vkorg vtweg spart kunnr it has to create different Credit Memo's. How should I put the function in the loop so that it creates different CM's based on each customer.

Javascript For loop not working within a function

Hi all,
I'm a beginner to LiveCycle and I cant seem to get a loop working within a function. The function is being called successfully because when I manually create the code it works but I am trying to clean things up.
So here is my working example:

However when I try and creat a loop instead of listing every sing table/row nothing happens. this is important to my project as there will be alot of different rows depending on radio button selections earlier in the form. Below is the current state of my code:

I have a laser system with a frequency of 1kHz, I am using this 1kHz signal to trigger the DAQmx and get the data from a photodetector, e.g. I will get 1000 data points during 1 second from DAQmx, but I need to separate this 1000 data points into the even and odd list, which is two list of 500 data points, e.g.. The 1st, 3rd, ... 99th data is one array, the 2nd, 4th,... 10th data is another array, then I will do further calculations based on these two arrays.
To seperate the even and odd data, the only way I can find is put these 1000 points into an array and then seperate them afterwards.
Can I do things like this pic?
I don't know the speed of the for loop, because the 1kHz trigger is always there, once it is triggered, the DAQmx read will give a data point, if the speed of the for-loop( the time from the end of a loop to the beginning of the next loop) is slower than the 1kHz trigger, then the for-loop will miss data point, then the ordering of the 1000 points in 1 second will be changed.
Or I need to put everything, e.g. AI Voltage, Trigger, sample clock, into the for-loop and then return a Y? Thanks!

Clarification:
The VI you have posted will work as following:
1) The task will read 2 analog inputs (ai0, ai3).
2) The acquisition starts, oncece digital signal (trigger) is detected on PFI0
3) The sampling rate will be as specified in "rate" control - it is continuous analog input acquisition, which means that after trigger is received (point 2), the board will start to generate hardware clock with frequency you specify as "rate"
4) with each rising edge of that hardware clock, the measurement is taken, and stored into buffer of driver.
5) DAQmx read will try to read "number of samples per channel" number of samples each time is called - and if there is not enough measurement stored in buffer (step 4), then DAQmx read will wait until DAQ card will measure reaquested number of samples (or timeout occurs before requested number of samples has been acquired)
6) DAQmx read will be then called 1000 times - so totaly you will read 1000 * "number of samples per channel" number of samples.
You do not have to be worried about speed of the loop. In fact, if you need to read just 1000 samples, with 1kS/s, then you can remove for loop and you can change measurement mode from continuous to finite samples, and specify number of samples to read to be 1000. You will read them all properly. I recomend you to read User Manual for your DAQ device - lets say M Series User Manual.

Yeah, sly one is right. You can not have the "i" inside the
onRollOver function, what you have to do is: As the movieClip class
is dynamic you can create a property of the movieClip which stores
the value if the "i". And then, inside the onRollOver function, you
have to make reference to that property.

Restarting a elapsed time function in a for loop

Hello,
I am having an issue while using an elasped time function inside of a while loop (I wire the Time has elapsed? boolean to the stop function of the while loop), that is consequently inside of a for loop. The elapsed time function works correctly on its own in a while loop, but when added to a for loop will not reset for each iteration of the for loop. I can post an example if it is needed, but has anyone run into this problem before? I have tried wiring all the reset boolean's but I cannot get the timer to reset untill the for loop has finished.
Any suggestions on how to achieve this another way are welcome.

I found the issue, I was using 2 timers inside of the for loop on the assumption that they are completely independant of one another....they are not. if time has elapsed on one timer then it uses that time to start off the next timer, kind of a wierd behaviour but I guess I am not really using the timer in a normal manner.

I am trying to create a function which contains a for loop as well as %type.
This function is on a student table and i am trying to create a function which will display the zip which is a varchar2(5).
I need to do this through this function.
However, I can't seem to get it running.
Can anyone help?
