Generation of multiple reportfilename.vb  Files  Problem

Post Author: jberkes
CA Forum: General
I have vb.net 2003 report that has mutiple crystal reports.    crystal reports generates .vb files for each of the reports.   Except sometimes it will generate multiple files for the same report and then I get amiguous class references.   For instance  I have a report file named cryExonerationletter.rpt  .  Crystal generarted cryExonerationletter.vb and cryExonerationletter1.vb and cryExoneratonletter2.vb which are duplicates of cryExonerationletter.vb.     When I delete the cryExonerationletter1.vb and cryExonerationletter2.vb files my program won't compile because :
c:\inetpub\wwwroot\UmastReports\cryExonerationLetter1.vb Unable to open module file 'c:\inetpub\wwwroot\UmastReports\cryExonerationLetter1.vb': The system cannot find the file specified. c:\inetpub\wwwroot\UmastReports\cryExonerationLetter2.vb Unable to open module file 'c:\inetpub\wwwroot\UmastReports\cryExonerationLetter2.vb': The system cannot find the file specified.
I can not find how crystal is generating these extra .vb files.  Can someone please tell me how to modify my application so that it does not create these duplicate files and does not expect t to find these duplicate files?
Thank you,
Jim Berkes

Hi,
Do you have a Roaming Profile or Folder Redirection environment? Outlook will try to create a new OST file if the old OST file cannot be found due to something changing in the folder redirect, or the roaming profile coming back down without the OST or a
new temporary local profile is created.
Do you create backups of the OST file at regular intervals or have some backup software installed which does it automatically? This may also cause this issue.
In addition, do you happen to use a PRF file to set up your mail profile? If so, please double click to open the PRF file and make sure you can see the lines below in it:
BackupProfile=No
OverwriteProfile=No
Please let me know the result.

Steve Fan

  • Used to be able to print multiple page pdf files on my HP 7310 all in one and then it stopped and would only print the curent page. This is tedious for long PDF docs. I am on 10.6.8 .

Used to be ablert to print multiple page pdf files on my HP 7310 all in one printer and now I can only print the current page and therefore it takes forever printing them one by one. I am in version 10.6.8. Tried printing as image using the advanced click and that did not work either.  I have Adobe 9.0 reader installed.

I tried this earlier, and I tried it again today.  Both times it said "Software Missing!"  and "HP Software required to connect to your printer over the network could not be found on this computer."  But when I tried to install the software (AIO_CDB_Net_Full_Win_WW_130_141.exe, which I downloaded from HP's web site), it wouldn't install, as described above.  In the diagnostic utility, I clicked "skip", and it said "Connection Verified!", and "The printer is connected to the network and the services related to the network connections have been verified and reset to a normal operating state.  Everything appears to work fine at this point.  Please doa test print to verify that the issue is resolved or click Skip to move to the next step."  I clickedthe "Test Print" button, and immediately it popped up a box that said "Test Print Failed."
I tried again to install the HP software, and it installed, detected the printer, and asked me to select it.  I selected the printer, clicked "next", and it did its network diagnostics.  Then it said "Problem(s) found with your network" and "Problem(s) may exist with the network functions of your printer . . ."  I continued the installation without connecting to the printer.  Then I ran your network printer diagnostic tool again, and got the same result - "HP Software required to connect to youir printer over the network could not be found on this computer."

    Hi Suraj.
Thank you very mutch for your reply.
Excuse me...my mapping is done for message type and idoc.
My problem is that when the interface start, on the sxmb_moni I see an error like this:
Creating Java mapping com.sap.xi.tf._MM_XmlOrderToIdocMapping_ --- Using MappingResolver with context URL //srvsapdev/sapmnt/CX1/SYS/global/xi/mapping/gestione_magazzini/7fa9c9e15a7811dab710f3e3ac10826e/ --- Load of com/sap/xi/tf/_MM_XmlOrderToIdocMapping_.class from //srvsapdev/sapmnt/CX1/SYS/global/xi/mapping/gestione_magazzini/7fa9c9e15a7811dab710f3e3ac10826e failed. --- Class not found: com.sap.xi.tf._MM_XmlOrderToIdocMapping_ --- java.lang.ClassNotFoundException at RUMappingJava.load(): Could not load class: com.sap.xi.tf._MM_XmlOrderToIdocMapping_ Class not found: com.sap.xi.tf._MM_XmlOrderToIdocMapping_ --- com.sap.aii.ibrun.server.map.MappingRuntimeException: at com.sap.aii.ibrun.server.map.MappingRuntimeException.code_STYLESHEET_OR_CLASS_NOT_FOUND
..where 'gestione_magazzini' is my namespace and 'MM_XmlOrderToIdocMapping' is my message mapping.
Can you help me to undestand the problem?

  • Splitting multiple IDoc XML files into single IDoc messages for R/3

Hi all. I have a problem splitting IDoc XML files coming in to XI. I currently have an interface that takes in single store sale IDoc transactions (type WPUBON01) in an IDoc XML file. I then have some complex graphical mapping on the IDoc before sending to R/3 via the IDoc adapter. This works fine. However, we now wish to include multiple sales in one file i.e. many WPUBON01 IDocs. I could use message splitting to do this BUT the mapping is so complex, I do not wish to have to change it to enable the processing of many IDocs in one file instead of just one.
What I want to do: have one mapping splitting a multiple IDoc XML file into single IDoc messages and then another taking these single messages as before and performing the mapping. I cannot find a way to do this in one interface; the main problem I'm having is getting XI to split the multiple IDocs into many single IDoc messages within XI itself. I'd be very grateful for any advice on the best way to do this.
    Thankyou.
    Stuart Richards (Halfords, UK)

    Bhavesh,
Thanks again for a clear explanation... I'm moving forwards but still struggling. I've been on this all afternoon today (after a break on other things) and just cannot get my message to split properly (though the SOAP adapter problem I had earlier is now fixed!). If my initial IDoc XML file contains this format:
    <WPUBON01><IDOC>....</IDOC>
                          <IDOC>....</IDOC>
                          <IDOC>....</IDOC></WPUBON01>
.. I'm not sure what the cardinaility on the first message mapping and interface mapping should be. I'd have thought the source interface would be 1 and the target would be 0..unbounded but this isn't working. I'm trying different things but I get different errors each time. Currently, I have the above cardinality in my first interface and I'm passing in the following data:

In the message monitor, I get a chequered flag. Great. However, I get the dreaded error 500 in the SOAP receiver comm channel:
SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 500 Internal Server Error
Exception caught by adapter framework: SOAP Error
Delivery of the message to the application using connection AFW failed, due to: SOAP Error.
Any ideas as to what this might be?! I'm getting there.... if I get a solution out of this, I promise to write the blog myself!

  • Multiple IDocs to File using BPM

    Hi All,
I have configured a scenario of multiple IDocs to file using BPM.  In this scenario while I am triggering IDoc from R/3 system it is sent to the external program.    I am getting in the status record of WE05 as IDoc is sent to an external system with status code 03. But I am unable to view the same message in moni of the XI system.
Also I have checked the ALE settings on both the sender and receiver side and it is fine.
Also in SM58 nothing is there in queue.
Can anyone solve this issue of mine?
    Cheers,
    Neethu.

    Hi,
in many cases it's a problem with the RFC connection. You should try an authorization test in SM59 of the R/3 system.

  • Multiple persistence.xml files

I've got a situation where I have one persistence.xml file with many persistence-unit's. My problem is that during deployment not all of the persistence-units are useable, so I get errors. My question is can I use multiple persistence.xml files in an application if each persistence.xml file defined only one persistence-unit?
    Mark

While JPA supports multiple persistence units in a single persistence.xml most of the tooling options (Eclipse, JDeveloper) focus on supporting a single persistence unit. Using multiple persistence.xml files on different classpath roots should also work. I recall seeing a bug related to this in the EclipseLink queue. Is this the JPA implementation you are using?

  • Multiple iTunes XML Files?

Hello everyone. I have a problem. I want to move my iTunes library over to my external hard drive. DO NOT post a link on how to do this. I have read all of them. The problem is that I have multiple iTunes XML files. Not just one. I don't know what to do. Can i delete them? Can i combine them or something???

It is difficult to understand your question as the the number of xml files does not seem to be related to your question. If you have a complex question then you need to explain it fully with your current iTunes set up.
The simple answer assuming a default iTunes set up is.
    1. Ensure all your music is in the iTunes Music folder in the iTunes folder. Consolidate if it is not.
    2. With iTunes closed, Copy the iTunes folder to the external drive.
    3. Hold down the shift key (Windows) and start iTunes, keep holding the shift key until you are prompted to choose a library. Naviagte to the iTunes folder on the external drive and choose iTunes Library.itl.
If you ever start iTunes with the drive disconnected it will default back to the internal drive and you have to do another shift key start to connect to the external drive.

  • Multiple index.hmtl files

Can you tell me if I'm heading for trouble. I have created 2 sites which are linked through the Navigation menus. I've exported to a folder and now wish to upload them to a non .mac account. In the main folder named "AOS web" i have an index file then two folders for the 2 sites I created. In each of those folders there is and index file. Can anyone tell me why this is and is it going to cause problems, shouldn't there only be 1 index file. I have upload this same project to my .mac account and it works fine.

I can't access the home page or contacts
No problem for me to see Home, Information, and Contact US. Try clearing your browser cache or using a different browser.
The multiple index.html files is completely normal for iWeb sites.

  • Multiple tnsnames.ora files

    Hi,
I am new to oracle and we have multiple versions of oracle installed on our machine. We have Oracle 9i, xe, developer suite - all on the same machine and as a result of that, we have multiple tnsnames.ora files. Due to this, when we try to log into the applications (sql plus, raptor, forms etc.), we get one or the other error all the time.
Is it due to having multiple tnsname.ora files on the same machine. What is the solution to this problem?
    Thanks in advance
    accts

Is it due to having multiple tnsname.ora files on the same machine. No, every application looks for its own tnsnames.ora, and if you get errors, then it means that something is wrong, not necessarily with tnsnames.ora.
The first thing I'd do is to maintain only one (possibly working) tnsnames.ora (renaming or removing the other ones), and set TNS_ADMIN OS environment variable to point to that one, and try.
It would be useful to know the errors you get...

  • Multiple library.xml files normal?

I just made 2 iTunes libraries, both located in the Music folder on my internal HD. One is just called "iTunes" which gets backed up with time machine, and the other is called "iTunes For Backup", which I use for temporary music projects etc that I exclude from backup to save space.
The one called "iTunes For Backup" has an "iTunes Library.xml" file as normal, but the "iTunes" folder has both an "iTunes Library.xml" file AND an "iTunes Music Library.xml" file.
After playing around, I discovered that if I start from scratch and create a new library called "iTunes", initially it will create just the "iTunes Library.xml" file, but as soon as I've added songs and quit, it creates a second file called "iTunes Music Library.xml". If I create a new iTunes library and name it anything other than "iTunes", only an "iTunes Library.xml" is ever created, which I think is normal behaviour.
To be honest I don't even know if this is a problem, but I've never seen multiple Library.xml files inside the same iTunes folder before. And why it would have anything to do with what you name the library seems baffling. It strikes me as very odd behaviour so I thought I would throw it out there out of curiousity to see if this is normal. I'd hate to find out it's a problem after I've built a huge library.

I'm wondering the exact same thing.
I'm able to find a lot of resources on the itunes library.xml file, but hardly anything on the itunes music library.xml file…
I'm also lost as to how I import my playlists back into iTunes. I keep my music on an internal 'Media' partition and am pretty well versed with OSX, but can't seem to figure it out… All the problems relate back to both of these XML files. Importing one will import some of the playlists, but not all… Weird

  • JDeveloper 10.1.3 Bug With Multiple JSF Config Files?

There seems to be a problem with JDeveloper 10.1.3 when you have multiple JSF configuration files. I have three configuration files created for a JSF application. One file contains navigation cases, a second file contains the managed beans, and a third file consists of the regular faces-config.xml file.
When you are working with a backing bean in JDeveloper, it seems to have a nasty habbit of sticking a "new" managed bean definition for the backing bean you are working on in the faces-config.xml file.

Good point. We'll try to address this in the production release of 10.1.3.
    Thanks,

  • Multiple attachments (TIF-files) in Emails

    hi all,
I'm trying to send an eMail with multiple attachments (TIF-files) with the function SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1.
The eMail with the attachments arrives well. The problem is, when opening the attachments all look the same as the 1. attachment. The archived TIFFs are not the same and I can see that the arrived attachments have different file-lenghts.
    The packing list looks like:
    HEAD_START   HEAD_NUM   BODY_START   BODY_NUM
    1                      1                    1                      57
    1                      1                     58                   198
    1                      1                    199                  415
The table-length of the first object is 57, the second object 141, the third 217.
The contents_bin table has 415 lines. I appended all object-tables to the contents_bin table.
Is there something which I have to consider especially?
    Thanks and regards
    Oliver

I had to write something similar for text files, so this may or may not be a useful tip. BODY_NUM represents the length of the text, i.e. the number of lines not the final line number. So the packing list should be
    1 1 1 57
    1 1 58 141
    1 1 199 217
Hope this helps...although probably very out of date by now...

  • Reader 9.0, 9.1, 9.1.2 blue screening when opening multiple PW protected files

I have a user, using MSOffice 2k3, who get a blue screen when opening multiple password protected files thru Outlook. The error suggests to update the BIOS, which has been done. This occurrs in all 3 versions of Reader 9. It specifically occurrs AFTER he inputs the password in the PW box. It does not matter which file he opens 1st. Any assistance would be appreciated.

No, you are wrong (Gene & Mike). First, the forms, at least my forms, have NOT been edited since being created in designer. They were created and saved directly to flash. Second, this issue has been posted on the acrobat forum as well as the life cycle designer forum and both thread were ended with adobe expert posts saying it was an adobe reader issue and to post here.
I have experimented more with this issue and it seems to be a 'trusted identity' issue within reader, but I have not wholely figured it out yet. My forms work on Reader, 7, 8, and 9. They work on all versions of 7 and 8 regardless of what the form was optimized for (my forms were optimized for 9 and higher). The only trouble is on 9.0. I have found that when updating on client machines, reader gives a prompt (sometimes) that says reader has found a set of trusted identities from a previous version, would you like to use these identies or create a new set of identities. If you choose to keep the existing trusted identies set, the form works, even when upgraded to reader 9.0
Not trying to be argumentative (Mike and Gene) but the 'experts' bail on this issue by telling people it's a reader problem and to post here.

I am not aware of a way except for photos that allows you to select multiple files in an email. I even checked settings in the Adobe Reader app, and it does not show that ability.
