Generic Java class for working with Context Nodes

Hi,all
I would like to write generic Java class for working with Context Nodes:
populating node,
add element to node,
update node element,
remove node element
Any ideas how can I do it?

I want to create/modify an existing pivot table in an excel sheet. Is there any open source available to work on pivot tables.
I have seen few articles mentioning that POI supports updation of data, though the apache site says that it does not support working with pivot tables. I am able to copy an existing excel template with pivot table to a new excel using poi but am stuck with updating....

The JExcelAPI does not support working with pivot tables... I am still in search of an open source to work with pivot tables....
btw, we are able to update an existing pivot table using apache poi. But we need to change the data range of the pivot table during run time... Am stuck with this... Has anyone come across any open source to work with pivots???

Java API for working with digital signature.

     I have to check whether a pdf form is modified since it is digitally signed, using a java program.
     Are there any java APIs(provided by SAP) available for that?
     Can I use IWDPDFDocument API in java program? I tried it but I am getting 'classnotfoundexception'.

may i know what service pack of SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio version are you using?
as the "IWDPDFDocument" is only available on SAP NetWeaver 2004S SPS 10 and above
and you just need to import either this two class

Simple java class for SQL like table?

Dear Experts,
I'm hoping that the java people here at the Oracle forums will be able to help me.
I've worked with Oracle and SQL since the 90s.
Lately, I'm learning java and doing a little project in my spare time.
It's stand alone on the desktop.
The program does not connect to any database
(and a database is not an option).
Currently, I'm working on a module for AI and decision making.
I like the idea of a table in memory.
Table/data structure with Row and columns.
And the functionality of:
Select, insert, update, delete.
I've been looking at the AbstractTableModel.
Some of the best examples I've found online (they actually compile and work) are:

Although they are rather confusing.
In all the examples I find, there always seems to be
at least three layers of objects:
Data object (full of get/set methods)
AbstractTableModel
GUI (JFrame, JTable) (GUI aspect I don't need or want)
In all the cases I've seen online, I have yet to see an example
that has the equivalent of Delete or Insert.
Just like in SQL, I want to define a table with columns.
Insert some rows. Update. Select. Delete.
Question:
Is there a better java class to work with?
Better, in terms of simpler.
And, being able to do all the basic SQL like functions.

Thanks. yes I had gone thru the java doc already and they have mentioned to use java.sql.Struct, but the code which got generated calls constructor of oracle.jpub.runtime.MutableStruct where it expects oracle.sql.STRUCT and not the java.sql.STRUCT and no other constructor available to call the new implementation and that is the reason i sought for some clues.

    o._struct = new MutableStruct((STRUCT) d, _sqlType, _factory);
    return o;

Can't get extended class to work with asbstract class

I am having trouble working an extended class to work with my base abstract class. I keep getting this error message: "Fiction.java:4: invalid method declaration; return type required" public FictionBook()" Can someone give me some advice and or guidance on what I need to do? Thanks.
Here is my abstract class:

Here is the extended class that I have:

Fiction.java:2: Fiction is not abstract and does not override abstract method setPrice() in BookThis one is pretty straightfoward: Book declares an abstract setPrice() method. In effect is promises "every concrete subclass of Book will define an implementation of setPrice()". But your Fiction class does not do this - it does not give an implementation of setPrice() even though as a Book it is required to do so. That is what the compiler is complaining about.
Fiction.java:6: call to super must be first statement in constructorThis one is slightly cryptic. If you use super() it must be as the first line of a constructor. You are using it as the first line of Fiction() so that looks OK - until you realise that Fiction() is not a constructor! That's because you declare it as a method returning void. Remove the "void" and the compiler will recognise it as a constructor and will be happy about your use of super().

Just a general point: it might be worth writing very brief comments for your abstract class to say what the methods are supposed to do. It isn't really clear what setBookPrice() is supposed to do given that it isn't passed any argument. Likewise setPrice(), how does it differ from setBookPrice()? what is the double value that it returns?

Pogo won't play games java won;t work with firefox

I was playing pogo and it came up to update Java. Did it and now can't play most of the games like canasta. Says java won't work with firefox.....it did before. try for 4 days not and no luck

InterMedia Java Classes for Servlets and JSPs and Netscape

I am using the interMedia Java Classes for Servlets and JSPs to upload and retrieve multimedia data. I have found that it is much more performant in Internet Explorer (5.5) than in Netscape Communicator (4.7). In fact, I cannot upload images larger than 10K at all using netscape. However, the same image can be uploaded into the same application using IE. Is this a known issue?

We have successfully uploaded multimedia data in the giga-byte range (Quicktime and AVI files) at the same speed with both the Netscape (4.7n) and MS IE (4.n and 5.n) browsers. One thing we have noticed is that its very important to set the manual proxy settings correctly if you have an environment with a proxy server. If you don't, then uploads can go via the proxy server and, for some reason, that seems to take considerably longer. For example, suppose you are in the www.xyzco.com domain and are connecting to a host named webserver.www.xyzco.com, then specify webserver and webserver.www.xyzco.com (to cover both cases) in the "Do not use proxy servers for..." box in the manual proxy server configuration screen. Also, if you're using a tool such as JDeveloper that uses the host IP address in the debugger environment, then you also need to add the numeric-based (nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn) IP address to this list.

Query on Topology for working with Routing Server

We have just started working with Routing Engine. We have a sample street data. For working with routing server, whether we need the topology to be built?
If we have a topology can we use with routing server?
In this request for un-geocoded addresses

What does this street and lastline mean. Which table its referring?

The routing engine requires data in a particular form. It does require a node and edge table as well as oher information.
In appendix c of the 10g Release 2 documentation is a description of the tables and the XML elements (such as us_form1, street, lastline, etc) required for the routing engine. If you have data that can be massaged into this format then you can do the massaging and load and use it.

Working with "property nodes" in pda module

Hi,
i already know that it is not possible to work with property node in pda module.
I have found something that allows to replace the visible property node
(LabVIEW_PDA_Module_Property_Additions), but i need other property
nodes.
I need the following property nodes:
disabled
caption.text
numrows (for a table control)
numcols (for a table control)
colhdrs[] (for a table control)
Can anyone give me a help with this?

I think the only one you can do something about is the caption, which you can try to replace with a string indicator.

i'm upgrading Solman from SP04 to SP13 using SUM (SP12 patch 10) on windows 2012
and i faced error during Excution phase 5.6 in JAVA Stack.

Is it possible to bind the elments with context node dynamically?

Is it possible to dynamically bind elements with context nodes?
In other words, at runtime, can we change the binding of an Inputfield to another context. Or a table to programmatically bind to another table?

      it is possible..
       you should first pass the id of he ui element and then bind it.
       for ex:
         if there is an input field, you can get the attribute that is bound, using cl_wd_input_field->bound_value.
         if you want to set an attribute, use cl_wd_input_field->bind_value.
         the first one will give an idea of how a valueshould be given.

My apologies, but I really had no interest in a member's "answer", especially one that is so unhelpful. Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?

Mac Pro RAID block size recommendations for working with audio in Logic Pro

I have recently ordered a Mac Pro and plan to do a RAID configuration across 3 HDD's
The RAID type i am going to do is a RAID 0 striped.
The computer is going to be used primarily for audio post production and working with 20+ 24-Bit audio files at any one time within a Logic project.
I want to know what is the best block size i should use when configuring the RAID.
I understand that using a higher block size is best for working with large files but do i need to do this in my case or will the default 32k block size be enough?

Use 64k. Things like databases like having 32k blocks because of all the small files. Audio files are pretty small even at 24-bit 192KHz. Go to 128k if all you are doing is streaming and no samples. But 20+ 24-bit is really not too large anyway considering most modern HDD's can stream 100MB/s off one spindle. You'll probably be fine regardless of the block size you choose. But most audio pro's choose 64k.
