Get DVT Drilldown Hierarchy Data in Clickevent BackingBean

I created a Drill down functionality for Graph as per following link,
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E16162_01/web.1112/e16181/dv_graph.htm#sthref283
My PageDef file for Graph looks as follows --->Drills from DepartmentId to ManagerName then to Employees
==============================================================================
<graph IterBinding="DepartmentsVO2Iterator" id="DepartmentsVO21" xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adfm/dvt"
type="BAR_VERT_CLUST">
<graphDataMap convert="false" leafOnly="true">
<hierarchies>
<item value="DepartmentId">
<child value="ManagerName"/>
</item>
<item value="ManagerName">
<child value="EmployeeName"/>
</item>
</hierarchies>
<drills type="REPLACE"/>
<series>
<data defaultAggregateType="SUM" aggregateDuplicates="TRUE">
<item value="Salary"/>
</data>
</series>
<groups>
<item value="DepartmentId"/>
</groups>
</graphDataMap>
</graph>
===========================================================================
When ever user clicks on any Graph bars , i want to know current bar dataMap details in backing bean ( like when user clicks on departmentId then I need that departmentId, when user drills and clicks on Managername then I want to know which DepartmentId and what ManagerName)
Can anybody please provide code snippet to get current Click Graph Hierarchy details in Backing Bean Class?
Thanks

Hi Shay
Thank you for your reply. I have already seen that code.. But it shows for Drill-event but not on click Event , moreover it is not giving the exact dataMap information. It is just giving following
int edge = event.getEdge();
int layer = event.getLayer();
int slice = event.getSlice();
Where as, I need the actual Hierarchy drill down Data . In my case i need DepartmetnId , managerName....
Thanks

  • Integrated mode reporting; how to enable drilldown hierarchy parameter prompts instead of messy caption indented prompts...?

    Hello all,
    Currently I am struggiling with the visualization of the SSRS report parameters in SharePoint integrated mode. I have built a SSRS report on a dimensional model (to be exact, a SSAS cube, but that doesn't really matter) and it has a parameter with a hierarchy
    in it (with four levels). Per default, SSRS displays this hierarchy as a caption indented list using three spaces per level. As you can understand, this is a very sloppy, messy lay-out and not really desirable. I think it should be possible to switch to a
    drilldown hierarchy using the "+" to expand a level and show all sibblings, but how can I achieve this?! Do I really need some custom code for this?
    To give an example, take a standard date dimension used as a parameter with the following members, Year, Quarter, Month and Week. The way this is currently visualized in the paremeter box is as follows, using three spaces per level;
    2013
       Q1
          January
             Week 1
             Week 2
             Week 3
             Week 4
          Februari
             Week 5
    ... and so on.
    What I want to use is the standard hierarchial drilldown functionality you see when actually browsing a cube. How can I achieve this?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
    As this is a SSRS question, I suggest you post it to SQL Server Reporting Services, Power View

  • I have hierarchy data in R/3 side how will i load that data from R/3 to BW

    Hi all,
    i have my hierarchy data in the R/3 side how will i load that data from  R/3 to BW side
    Regard
    Kiran Kumar

    Hi Kiran,
    Here is the procedure:
    1.      In the Data Warehousing Workbench under Modeling, select the InfoSource tree.
    2.      Select the InfoSource (with direct update) for the InfoObject, to which you want to load the hierarchy.
    3.      Choose Additional Functions® Create Transfer Rules from the context menu of the hierarchy table object for the InfoObject. The Assign Source System dialog box appears.
    4.      Select the source system from which the hierarchy is to be loaded. The InfoSource maintenance screen appears.
    ○       If the DataSource only supports the transfer method IDoc, then only the transfer structure is displayed (tab page DataSource/Transfer Structure).
    ○       If the DataSource also supports transfer method PSA, you can maintain the transfer rules (tab page Transfer Rules).
    If it is possible and useful, we recommend that you use the transfer method PSA and set the indicator Expand Leaf Values and Node InfoObjects. You can then also load hierarchies with characteristics whose node name has a length >32.
    5.      Save your entries and go back. The InfoSource tree for the Data Warehousing Workbench is displayed.
    6.      Choose Create InfoPackage from the context menu (see Maintaining InfoPackages). The Create InfoPackage dialog box appears.
    7.      Enter the description for the InfoPackage. Select the DataSource (data element Hierarchies) that you require and confirm your entries.
    8.      On the Tab Page: Hierarchy Selection, select the hierarchy that you want to load into your BI system.
    Specify if the hierarchy should be automatically activated after loading or be marked for activation.
    Select an update method (Full Update, Insert Subtree, Update Subtree).
    If you want to load a hierarchy from an external system with BAPI functionality, make BAPI-specific restrictions, if necessary.
    9.      If you want to load a hierarchy from a flat file, maintain the tab page: external data.
    10.      Maintain the tab page: processing.
    11.      Maintain the tab page: updating.
    12.      To schedule the InfoPackage, you have the following options:
    ○       (Manually) in the scheduler, see Scheduling InfoPackages
    ○       (Automatically) using a process chain (see Loading Hierarchies Using a Process Chain)
    When you upload hierarchies, the system carries out a consistency check, making sure that the hierarchy structure is correct. Error messages are logged in the Monitor. You can get technical details about the error and how to correct it in the long text for the respective message.

  • Any way to get rid of Relative Date display in Mail?

    This is a long standing problem for me and macs for as long as I can remember. I can't stand relative dates, and no matter what I do they always reappear. I just switched to MacMail and much to my disappointment, I find relative dates there too. Is there ANY permanent way to get rid of Relative Dates once and for all?

    Carsten, you CAN get rid of the "negative number" entries. If you use the wizard to build the dimension, when it's all done, go back into the dimension object and delete the default "standard" hierarchy that gets created. Even though you apparently DO have to have a default level, you do NOT need to have a default hierarchy.
    This will get rid of the negative numbers and associated logic from the loads...but you still end up with both a DIMENSION_KEY and KEY column...both having exactly the same value in it.
    I wish Oracle would give you an option when creating a dimension to specify whether or not it's a dimension with levels...and if you said NO it would simply have a DIMENSION_KEY without any other keys. Glad to hear though that I wasn't missing something obvious on how to turn that off.
    Thx,

  • DELETE  HIERARCHY DATA,CONNECT BY  SQL/PLSQ

    Hi
    Please help with the logic!
    I am trying to delete the data from the hierarchy table data(TABLE1) based on another table(TABLE2),For this i am using 2 cursors (get_ssn and get_max),
    problem is with deleting the hierarchy data, there are several levels (few of them upto 10 levels), i have to delete from top to bottom level of the hierarchy structure
    the first cursor returns the hierarchy structure
    level ssn report_to baid
    1
    2
    3
    1
    2
    1
    2
    3
    4
    my plan is to pull the max of the level and delete it, loop the max value and decrement it by 1 in every iteration and delete the rows, below is the rough logic,
    please help me building up the logic
    declare
    lev eweb.level%TYPE;
    i = number :=0;
    cursor get_ssn is --> this cursor is getting ssn based on simple join between two tables
    select level, ssn, report_to, baid
    from TABLE1
    where ssn not in ( select e.ssn
    from TABLE1 e, TABLE2 s
    where e.ssn = s.ssn)
    start with ssn in (select e.ssn
    from TABLE1 e)
    connect by prior report_to=baid;
    cursor get_max is --> pulling the max of level
    select max(level)
    from eweb
    where ssn not in ( select e.ssn
    from TABLE1 e, TABLE2 s
    where e.ssn = s.ssn)
    start with ssn in (select e.ssn
    from TABLE1 e)
    connect by prior report_to=baid;
    BEGIN
    for i in get_ssn
    loop i := i+1;
    Delete from eweb --> here im trying to delete rows by using max(level)-i, in 1st iteration it takes the max value, in next iteration it will be max -1..........
    where level = get_max-i
    END LOOP;
    end for loop;
    END;

    A few remarks
    1 The subject line was shouted by using all caps. This must be considered rude
    2 The introduction discusses 2 tables, yet the code deals with 3, and only from the third table data is deleted
    3 no CREATE TABLE statements were posted, nor sample data
    4 if you can put a constraint on the affected column, using on cascade delete, everything will be deleted automagically.
    With this little information, no help is possible. We can not see what each statement does, the comments don't tell anything, and we can also not see what it is expected to do in terms of logics, as the statements are almost certainly wrong.

  • Creating sets to load hierarchy data to BW

    Hi,
    I was able to create sets using GS01 and change set using GS02, create a Datasource, and load the data as an hierarchy in BW.
    My question is creating and changing sets is a manual process using these transactions, so what's the point of doing this instead of entering the data directly in BW to create and maintain the hierarchy? I would think then that the preferrred method would be to write an ABAP program to create a flat file with the hierarchy layout and then upload to BW?
    Would some clarify what's the point of using GS01 and GS02 as opposed to maintaining it directly in BW or upload a flat file?
    Is there a way to automatically create and change sets?
    Thanks,
    Will

    Hi,
    I also have the similer problem for hierarhcy files, I used to get the dump of hierarchy data. all child parent info comes in a single rows.  see the example below :
    <b>Country state city territory customer</b>
    I have developed a Foxpro local program, which will convert above flat data into BW Hierarchy loadable flat file.
    Similer you can also do the same. get the flat file from R3 and then convert to BW hierarhcy file using local program and then load to BW.

  • Loading Hierarchy data from a DSO!

    Hi SDN,
    We have a ZTable containing a custom hierarchy in the SAP ECC system and we bring all its data into a staging DSO in BI via PSA.
    So now we have the hierarchy data in two places: PSA and a write-optimized staging DSO.
    Any idea how can we load the data from either of the two into a hierarchy? Is there a standard SAP BI function module which can be called by a program to input data and be loaded into the hierarchy tables?
    I know we have the option of dumping data into a flat file and then use a standard extractor to load. We prefer doing it the other way, if possible.
    Please advise.
    Thanks.
    SM

    Hello Shahid,
    I do ot think you can do this directly. you can use the method Arun mentioned to get what you want.
    Another way is that yuo can use flat file to load the hierarchy into Bi if you can export the Ztable to a file.

  • CRM Opportunity Hierarchy data in BW

    Hi,
    I have required that the Opportunity reports should show relationships between the master, object and simple opportunities. When i searched for the same i got one SAP Note 523047 for CRM 3.0v and we are currently in CRM 4.0. Even i had checked in T-code SNOTE for SAP Note 523047 in CRM system, it say it cannot be implemented but the code changes are there.
    I would like to know from you is there any possibilities that i can have Master -> Object -> Simple opportunities in hierarchy data source, if so could anyone please please suggest me how i can implement in CRM so that i can get into BW.
    Eagerly looking for your help on Opportunities relationship Master, Object and Simple. Request you please suggest some help in Opportunities.
    thanks in Advance,
    P.

    Hello,
    It would be a long story if anyone want to explain 'implement CRM'
    If you go to RSA1 in BW and choose BI content, you can find a lot of BI Content for CRM. And opportunity is also there. I'd suggest activate opportunity cubes with the option 'dataflow before and afterwards'. Then try to load some data from your CRM and compare it with your requirement. Generally you would be able to find out a most suitable DataSource/cube. Copy the cube and change it to meet your requirement.
    This is generally how we deal with unfamiliar function modules.

  • How to upload Hierarchy data into BW InfoObjects

    I have gone through the XI and BI integration document provided by SAP and I found out that using that method only Master data and Text data can be uploaded into Infoobejects using Flexible upload which doesnt support Hierarchy data upload.
    I need to upload Hierarchy data into InfoObjects using SAP XI. Please suggest me the best way to upload the hierarchy data.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Shridhar.

    Hi,
    First , thanks for your answer.
    Concerning the scope of my project, currently we just have a SAP system to be integrated into BW but in a few times we will get also other OLAP Tools to integrate in BW. Also my customer want to manage all the message processing with only one product if it's possible and currently he use SAP XI for it so that's why he want's to use XI between SAP and BW.
    If i understand weel your answer, i can use XI without defining XML file in BW I can use standard extractor so XI just transfert IDOC  receving from SAP to BW , it that right ?
    Thansk again.
    Best regards.
    Bertrand.

  • Beginner question on creating hierarchy data

    We are moving data migration and other data bases to SAP and in the process of coming upto speed on SAP BI/BW using 7.0. I am working thru the Step by Step excercise by Fu et al.
    It has salesoff, salesregion and salesperson infoobjects. Salesperson infoobject has attribute of Salesperson name and we have edited external hierarchies to include salesoff and salesregion.
    Also, we manually entered master data for salesregion and salesoff - EAST, MIDWEST and WEST. To enter the hierarchy data for salesperson we were told that entering hierarchy data in 7.0 by a flat file is not enabled and will be only in 7.1 (is that correct?). So I tried doing it manually,
    a) I click on infobject Salesperson - create hierarchy.In that page I picked Create Characteristic node - entered salesoff - I get this message - salesoff is not a foreign characteristic.
    How do I get past this ? Should I not include salesoff and salesregion in the external char while creating salesperson.
    Is there something I missed in the StepbyStep ?
    Sanjay
    ps - when I learn to give out points I definitely will.

    Hi Sanjay,
    Have you enbled Hierarchy option for both Salesoff, Salesreg ?
    if enabled uncheck and activate infoobjects.
    SalesrepID should be hierarchy enable if you want to create Hierarchy using SalesrepID infoobject.
    on hierarchy, click on Maintain hierarchies to create Hierarchy, here give name of hierachy and discriptions on infoobject SalesrepID.
    and click on External chars. in hieracies to add Salesoff, Salesreg, and activate SalesrepID.
    Hope this helps

    v_enddate := last_day(to_date(p_end, 'YYYY/MM'));I'm not sure what you mean by "declare".
    In PL/SQL, "declare" means state (at the beginning of a block) that there will be a certain variable with a certain name (such as v_startdate) and datatype (such as DATE). You're already declaring the variables v_startdate and v_enddate correctly, right before the BEGIN statement.
    Declaring a variable is not the same as initializing it, that is, giving it a value for the first time. Your next question seems to be about initializing..
    2. where exactly shud i include the logic that u have mentioned. sorry a dumb questionIn place of the two assignment statments that reference p_start and p_end.
    3. This time am gonna use frequency instead of report_type so that i will get rid of the p_start and p_end from the procedure.Do you mean you want to pass an argument (called frequency) that tells if you want a quarterly or a mionthly report, just like the variable report_type in my example?
    If so, replace report_type in my example with frequency.
    I think you want something like this:

    How can we get Dynamic columns and data with RTf Templates.
    My requirement is :
    create table xxinv_item_pei_taginfo(item_id number,
    Organization_id number,
    item varchar2(4000),
    record_type varchar2(4000),
    record_value CLOB,
    State varchar2(4000));
    insert into xxinv_item_pei_taginfo values( 493991 ,224, '1265-D30', 'USES','fever','TX');
    insert into xxinv_item_pei_taginfo values( 493991 ,224, '1265-D30', 'HOW TO USE','one tablet daily','TX');
    insert into xxinv_item_pei_taginfo values( 493991 ,224, '1265-D30', 'SIDE EFFECTS','XYZ','TX');
    insert into xxinv_item_pei_taginfo values( 493991 ,224, '1265-D30', 'DRUG INTERACTION','ABC','TX');
    insert into xxinv_item_pei_taginfo values( 493991 ,224, '1265-D30', 'OVERDOSE','Go and see doctor','TX');
    insert into xxinv_item_pei_taginfo values( 493991 ,224, '1265-D30', 'NOTES','Take after meal','TX');
    select * from xxinv_item_pei_taginfo;
    Item id Org Id Item Record_type Record_value State
    493991     224     1265-D30     USES     fever     TX
    493991     224     1265-D30     HOW TO USE     one tablet daily     TX
    493991     224     1265-D30     SIDE EFFECTS     XYZ     TX
    493991     224     1265-D30     DRUG INTERACTION     ABC     TX
    493991     224     1265-D30     OVERDOSE      Go and see doctor     TX
    493991     224     1265-D30     NOTES     Take after meal     TX
    Above is my data
    I have to fetch the record_type from a lookup where I can have any of the record type, sometime USES, HOW TO USE, SIDE EFFECTS and sometimes some other set of record types
    In my report I have to get these record typpes as field name dynamically whichever is available in that lookup and record values against them.
    its a BI Publisher report.
    please suggest

    if you have data in db then you can create xml with needed structure
    and so you can create bip report
    do you have errors or .... ?
