Get line number error

Hi
Is there some way to get line number error when there is some exception ?
I use oracle 9.2.02

I want to use TO_NUMBER function to converse some float number,
but the following query always gets invalid number error:
select to_number('12.1073') from dual;
but if I add the format in, it runs as expected:
select to_number('12.1073', '99.9999') from dual;
From the syntax, the format parameter is optional, is it only optional for integers?

So, or you replace dot by comma, or you change the territory (or nls_numeric_characters) defined for your session :

I want to compare Matrix Line Number with Line Number of POR1 in DB.

Linenum in Matrix "38" is Columns.Item("110").Value
SBO application doesnot show it, but you can get the linenum from that column.
You can test by getting the column title. omatrix.columns.item("110").Title

TO_CHAR to convert date getting 'Invalid number' error

I am trying to convert a static date value using TO_CHAR function but I can't believe I am not able to do it such a simple conversion.
//Obviously this is easy and everyone would like to give this as an example and this is what I see everwhere on Google and it works.
SELECT TO_CHAR(sysdate, 'YYYY-MM-DD') FROM DUAL;
How can I make it work like this?
SELECT TO_CHAR('2010-JUN-23', 'YYYY-MM-DD') FROM DUAL;
I keep getting "Invalid number" error. I changed my constant date to different formats but none works.

Your first literal is not a date, assuming you didn't set NLS_DATE_FORMAT.
So the code should have been
SELECT TO_CHAR(to_date('2010-JUN-23','YYYY-MON-DD'), 'YYYY-MM-DD') FROM DUAL;
Please note DATEs are always converted to VARCHAR2 when you SELECT them, using NLS_DATE_FORMAT.
When you use a DATE string literal it ias always implicitly converted to a real date, by using NLS_DATE_FORMAT.
So if you want all your dates formatted as YYYY-MON-DD, you need to set NLS_DATE_FORMAT to that mask.

My requirement is
If DT_ID value of xmlmsg existed in the DT_ID of PART_ID_COLLES table then that record should be processd else should be skipped.
And xmlmsg of PART_ID should start with "A" and followed only by the number then that record should be processed else should be skipped.
And xmlmsg of DD_DAYS should contain only the number and grater than or equal to 0 ,then that record should be processed else should be skipped.
For that I have written this code.

Getting "line disconnected" error message when trying to monitor

Getting "line disconnected" error message when trying to monitor "live stream" on cameras from computer. Anyone else have this issue? Any suggestions on how to fix? I have reconfigured each camera with the router but still having the error message. I have a total of three cameras....(1) is wired and (2) are wifi......I am getting this message with all cameras (both wired/wifi).

Is this an intermittent error that you get now and then, or were you able to successfully setup your cameras, then one day you got the "line disconnected" on all cameras since that point and on?
If this is an intermittent problem, I can share that I experienced the same thing the first two days of having setup my cameras. It seemed that my Gateway was communicating with the Verizon servers pretty heavily as I was getting my HMC first setup. However, starting on day three and on, it has worked very well.
The only odd thing I'm experiencing now is that I getting several "camera_detected" messages in the activity logs. All my cameras show up in the My Devices list, and I can view them either as a snapshot or as live streaming, however, the log makes it seem that there is a mystery camera connected somewhere that I don't know about. I have a call in to Verizon regarding this and hopefully will get an answer in the next couple of days. It's not hurting anything, just kind of annoying to sort through those entries as you're going through your Activity Log.

There are java classes that will give you the line number of records from files you are reading. Names begin with Line...

If you run Java in Dos prompt, a new line of result is displayed at bottom and the screen scroll. There is no line number in that way. Other language like C have something like that.
If you use Java Swing, you can display with x, y coordinate option but it is graphic mode.

I have another but related question:
I am using a testing tool, called as Fitnesse. When an exception is thrown, it shows the exception trace but the line numbers are not shown, because the source code is unknown to the tool. It is an open source tool, so I want to change the settings such that it shows the line numbers.
I know, maybe I should ask the question to the tool-forum. But I think, this problem is a general one, not related to a specific tool. How can "java" know the line number of the source code, where an exception is thrown?

I'm attempting to complete my Skype profile, but am running into a problem when trying to enter my mobile number. I've entered it as xxxxxxxxxx and xxx-xxx-xxxx, neither seems acceptable. The error says, "It looks like you entered an invalid number - try again, so friends will have more ways to contact you." Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I'm in the US and am attempting to use Skype Web (beta). Need to use this for a call on Monday.
