Hello
You can use class CL_OO_CLASS (instance attribute METHOD_PARAMETERS ).

  • Getting method parameters variable names

    Hi,
    I am trying to generate a list of methods, their parameter types as well as their localnames for a given class.
    Example
    TestClass
    method1 (String name, int number)
    method2 (Employee emp)
    I checked the reflection API and it doesnt seem to give me the option to get the param name. Now its surely possible as some tools do it, like JBuilder whwne I type the method name, it give me the complete description.
    Also javadocs provides the info. I wrote a subclassed doclet that provides the info, but the trouble is that I can run it from the command line using javadocs - doclet....
    But how do I run it from code.
    Any tips
    Thanks in advance
    Revon

    hi,
    there you are wrong: You can't retrieve the parameter name from a class file because this information isn't saved (otherwise this would have been a feature in the reflection api). Tools like JBuilder use the source files and the comment tags to retrieve further information.
    best regards, Michael

  • Getting kernel parameters at runtime

    I know it is possible to obtain kernel parameters such as semume using /usr/sbin/sysdef, but I am curious as to whether there is a way to obtain these values from a C program.
    Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    I believe the right direction is to ask Solaris Forums - Kernel also:
    http://forum.sun.com/forum.jspa?forumID=10
    This thread is mostly about the issues with C compiler itself.

    cemYou could also use AOP to add logging. But really, any sort of injected logging is going to be of limited value, since it's very generic and "this method was called with these parameters"-esque. Explicit logging is a lot more descriptive and useful, particularly to support staff who probably won't know what any particular method does

  • How to get names of method parameters ?

    How to get names of method parameters (Not only their type and value) is it only possible during debugging ??
    for example void myFunction(int a,int b)
    I need the "a" , and the "b" The issiue is about the java.lang.reflect.InvocationHandler ,
    and its method invoke(Object proxy,
    Method method,
    Object[] args)
    throws Throwable
    I Have the parameter objects themself and their types using method.getParameters() , this is fine ,, but i need the names of the parameters !!!

    If the class file was compiled without debug information included then it is impossible to get the original parameter names, as used in the source code.
    However, If the class file does include debug information, then the method names are hidden deep within the class file. You'd need to parse the class file yourself. Check out a copy of the Java VM Specification for a detailed format of the java class file format.
    It's not a trivial task to parse the java class file, and the VM spec isn't easy reading. You'd nearly be writing a class file disassembler.

  • Custom authorization provider for WL7 problem (not getting all parameters from ContextHandler)

    I'm implementing a custom authorization provider for WebLogic 7.
    In my Access Decision isAccessAllowed method I need to check values of
    the parameters passed to an EJB method. Now, if an EJB method I have
    two parameters of the same type, for example int, when I get
    ContextElement array from ContextHandler and iterate through it to get
    names and values of the parameters I get the same value (value of the
    first int parameter) from both ContextElement's.
    Here is the code:
    String [] names = ch.getNames();
    for (int i = 0; i < names.length; i++)
    String name = names;
    System.out.println("name = " + name);//here it gets array of
    Strings, which contains two parameter names: "int","int",
    which are the types of EJB method parameters
    ContextElement[] ces= ch.getValues(names);
    for (int j = 0; j < ces.length; j++)
         ContextElement ce = ces[j];
         System.out.println(ce.getName()+ " = " + ce.getValue());
    //here if the value of the first int was 2 and the second 0,
    it would get 2 from both ContextElements (each of ContextElements will
    have name "int"
    If I try this with method parameters of different types, for example
    int with value 2 and long with value 0, then this code work fine -
    first ContextEleement has name int and value 2 and the second has name
    long and value 0.

  • Can't get my class's getter method to work properly.

    Hello, I am new to Java programming, although I come from C and C++. This is my first post. I am working on a basic Library application that can Checkout and Return books. Eventually I would like to add the ability to read from and write to an XML file containing data for every book.
    My problem right now is that I cannot get my getter method within my Book class to work properly. When I call getData() from within main, and pass the appropriate arguments, instead of filling the variables with that object's data, it leaves them blank! Please help me.
    Here is my method within the Book class, the person and id_num are private.
    /* Gets general Book Instance Data and fills parameters with it */
         public void getData(String n, int num, String c, String d)
              n = this.person;
              num = this.id_num;
              c = this.checkout_date_string;
              d = this.due_date_string;
         }Here is how I am attempting to use it in main:
    String name = "";
    int number = 0;
    String checkout = "";
    String due = "";
    Book book1;
    /*Sets person = John Smith and id_num = 10763*/
    book1 = new Book("John Smith", 10763);
    /*Gets Checkout (todays) date and sets a due date in 2 weeks*/
    book1.Checkout();
    book1.getData(name, number, checkout, due);
    System.out.println("Book1:\n Checkout Date: " + checkout +
                             "\n Due Date: " + due + "\n Is it late: " + book1.isLate() +
                             "\n Person who checked it out: " + name + "\n ID number: " + number +
                             "\n ");Then, Here is the Output:
    Book1:
    Checkout Date:
    Due Date:
    Is it late: false
    Person who checked it out:
    ID number: 0

    Well I went ahead and made separate methods to return each value. I suppose that will work just as well, especially since now I don't have to declare a bunch of strings and int's to hold the data and pass to the method.
    >
    Well this would never work anyway
    public void getData(String n, int num, String c, String d)None of those can be changed within the method. Strings are immutable and 'int' is passed by value. Each of those parameters will have the same value after the method exits as they did before it was called.
    Your book class should be using 'setters' to set the value of its instance variables.

  • No Getter Method Error

    I had a working JSP/Struts application. I added a new data page and struts forward, and started getting:
    No getter method for property Fullname6 of bean org.apache.struts.taglib.html.BEAN
    errors.
    I have confirmed that the Fullname6 is referenced in the UIModel.xml file. My changes were only to add a read-only table to the jsp that is failing, so I don't see how that could be causing this error. I made no changes to the struts action that forwards to this page.
    What is going on here? Anybody have any ideas?

    I know about the link that you've sent.
    We don't have a specific form bean for this, as we have 'DataForm' which takes care of get/setter method for the attributes. I am using ADF, JSP, Struts and parameterized where clause in my VO. I do not know how to procede as it doesn't allow me to create the form bean.
    Thanks,

  • How to use multi async method in Windows Runtime Component (C#)

    I want to migrate an async method into Windows Runtime Component.
    CookieContainer cc = await utility.GetCookieContainer();
    But the content of async method still contains async methods.
    public async Task<CookieContainer> GetCookieContainer()
    if (stsAuthToken != null)
    if (DateTime.Now > stsAuthToken.Expires)
    this.stsAuthToken = await GetMsoStsSAMLToken();
    AuthCookies cookies = await GetAuthCookies(this.stsAuthToken);
    CookieContainer cc = new CookieContainer();
    Cookie samlAuthCookie = new Cookie("FedAuth", cookies.FedAuth)
    Path = "/",
    Expires = this.stsAuthToken.Expires,
    Secure = cookies.Host.Scheme.Equals("https"),
    HttpOnly = true,
    Domain = cookies.Host.Host
    cc.Add(this.spSiteUrl, samlAuthCookie);
    Cookie rtFACookie = new Cookie("rtFA", cookies.RtFA)
    Path = "/",
    Expires = this.stsAuthToken.Expires,
    Secure = cookies.Host.Scheme.Equals("https"),
    HttpOnly = true,
    Domain = cookies.Host.Host
    cc.Add(this.spSiteUrl, rtFACookie);
    this.cookieContainer = cc;
    And even GetMsoStsSAMLToken and GetAuthCookies contain async methods...
    How to migrate it?

    Hi Matt,
    I'm sorry for my unclear description.
    My WinRT Component is for Javascript. If I use folloiong codes, error occurs.
    public static async Task<bool> GetInternal(string url, string username, string password)
    bool r = await AuthUtility.Create(new Uri(url), username, password);
    return r;
    The error is
    SharePointWindowsRuntimeComponent.Common.GetInternal(System.String, System.String, System.String)' has a parameter of type 'System.Threading.Tasks.Task<System.Boolean>' in its signature. Although this generic type is not a valid Windows Runtime type,
    the type or its generic parameters implement interfaces that are valid Windows Runtime types.  Consider changing the type 'Task' in the method signature to one of the following types instead: Windows.Foundation.IAsyncAction, Windows.Foundation.IAsyncOperation,
    or one of the other Windows Runtime async interfaces. The standard .NET awaiter pattern also applies when consuming Windows Runtime async interfaces. Please see System.Runtime.InteropServices.WindowsRuntime.AsyncInfo for more information about converting managed
    task objects to Windows Runtime async interfaces.
    Some articles said, Task<T> is not WinRT type and should be converted to IAsyncOperation<T>. Only stirng, int, bool, object, array of above types and some 'simple' type can be used. (The
    related article)
    Then I try to convert Task<bool>, but the codes don't work.
    Above is why I ask this question.
    If async method can be used in WinRT component directly, please let me know why I got above error.
    Thanks.

    folks.. i am sending my class object on Sockets from client to Server (i am implementing Seriablizable Interface).
    No your aren't.
    You are sending the data in the class.
    That is what serialization does. (And actually not all data can be sent either.)
    When i get the object on server, i am able to print all its fields and methods... But i have one problem. I want to invoke a simple static method that just prints "hello".. The method on client that i am trying to invoke is....You probably either need stop attempting that or re-architect the solution.
    It is possible to send a class (not data) to another computer and that computer runs it. That is how applets work.
    But for that to work you must send the class. And deal with how the VM loads and unloads classes (not data) as well.

  • Automatic output of method parameters

    Hi,
    Sometimes I find myself System.out'ing all parameters of a method. Is there a one-step way to do this? A one-liner that will output all method parameters (using reflection I guess) of the method the code is running in.
    for e.g

    Appreciate any help that I can get!

    Hi,
    You can map these all parameters in Process instruction sheets and operator can view the PI sheet to view the process or qc parameter.

  • Urgent , Post or Get method?

    hello all;
    when i deploy a servelt on growser with the GET method , the servlet is working all right, but when i use POST method (to change database) , i have error , please tell me how and when i use Post method?

    GET and POST are two different ways of passing data from a browser to a server. With the GET method, the browser constructs a Query String (?var1=val&var2=val...) which is passed to the server as part of the URL. With the POST method, the data from the browser is passed via standard input to the server. You determine which method is used when you build the HTML form:
    <FORM ACTION="/path/action_servlet" METHOD="POST">
    OR
    <FORM ACTION="/path/action_servlet" METHOD="GET">
    <INPUT TYPE="TEXT" NAME="var1">
    <INPUT TYPE="TEXT" NAME="var2">
    <INPUT TYPE="SUBMIT">
    </FORM>
    In the case of servlets, either the doGet() or doPost() method will be executed depending on how the data is passed from the browser.
    In general, use the GET method for debugging or if you want the client to be able to bookmark the entire URL (with parameters). If you have an application where you are "changing the database", you probably want to use the POST method.

  • About   GET Method

    Please, Can U tell me the Maximum size of URL for Get and Post method.
    Its urgent..
    Thanks in advance..

    Have you heard of Google? http://www.google.com/search?q=limit+for+get+url+data
    The GET limit depends on the User Agent but if you're worried about crossing the upper limit, use POST instead. Older browsers supported a max of 255 chars while newer ones go upto 1k or more but it's not recommended to depend on this.
    POST details are given in the links below.

  • Getting value type at runtime

    Hello everyone,
    I am using Scanner to get tokens from a buffer. I need to know the type (class) of the value returned. Instead of using "if" statement and hasNext?() for each possible type, is there a method that just return the type. Something like:
    Class c = get(String s);So, if s is "Address", c would be set to String.class. If s is "true", c would be set to Boolean.class... etc
    Thank you

    Yeh, I just saw your other post:
    http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=783200
    The two topics are different but related. The topic, you refer to, are taking about getting a value. In that topic I need a method like:
    Object o = String.toObject (String s, Class c);However, the topic "Getting value type at runtime" are taking about getting a type. In this topic I need a method like:
    Class c = string.getClass();to return the type this string represents.
