Get recent parameters

Hi,
For example;
I run a sql script yesterday with dynamic parameter. (select * from dual where dummy = &v_parameter) . Such as this parameter is 'A'.
How can i get this parameter content ( which is 'A') now?
Which table or file contains this data?

I assume you are using sqlplus.
If you've used a single ampersand (&) then the value you entered for the parameters is not saved.
Had you used a double ampersand (&&) then the value would have been saved for the duration of the sqlplus session.
And you can see its value by typing 'define', which will print out all variables that currently have a value.

no, what I want is to know what parameters are required by my stored proc. So basically I tell it, "My Stored Proc is name 'SomeName'. What are the parameters I need to fill for this proc?" Then it puts those in for me, and then I fill the values. That's what Cmd.Parameters.Refresh() does in VB/C++. So if I had a proc name "MyProc" with:
@Something int,
@Another varchar(25)
Then if I did cmd.StoredProc = "MyProc" (and told it where to find the DB), and then did cmd.Parameters.Refresh(), the cmd would then have those parameters with null values, so i could do:
cmd.Parameters(0) = 5
cmd.Parameters(1) = "hello"
Any idea how to do that in Java/Jdbc?

Sorry your pictures are gone.
you should be doing this for all your pictures/videos http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083 that way you can sync it back via itunes.

Get the parameters from the URL

In my applet I need to know the parameters that are in the URL. But I don't know how to do this.
I started with this:
String URL=getDocumentBase().toString();So URL has the full url, like: http://127.0.0.1./test.html?Testparam1=hello
What I could think of is to use :
int i = URL.getindexof("?Testparam1");
String value =URL.substring(i);But that is not very handy when using more parameters.
Is there an other way to get the parameters from the URL?

You could use a regex or a StringTokenizer, but I'll bet there's a library somewhere that'll do it for you. Probably something in Apache Jakarta Commons. As far as I know there's nothing in the standard library that'll fully parse query strings for you, although you can use java.net.URLDecoder to decode the url-encoding (the %xx encoding).
If you don't want to find a specialized library, then probably a regular expression is the easiest approach.

Obtaining custom HTTP GET / POST parameters of variable length in Application Process

Hi, I'm trying to connect a javascript UI control within my page to an APEX Application Process.
The control calls the application process via AJAX and appends a variable number of GET / POST parameters to its URL.
What is the best way to obtain these parameters from within the PLSQL procedure of the process? Or is there a better way to connect my javascript AJAX control to the Database behind my APEX app?

I'm using APEX 4.1 and I've not used Treegrid before. It does look pretty interesting.
Firstly, I'm not sure if you are aware but GET requests aren't as secure as POST requests. GET simply appends a key/value pair to the server as part of the url which can be easily sniffed. POST request on the other hand sends the data as key/value pairs to the server in the header which makes it harder to intercept. This is why APEX outputs forms with POST methods.
Secondly, back to your original question.I'm not sure this is possible with an Application Process. In the passed I've used POST methods to pass values to my Application Process. I have some code using native jQuery if you would like to see how its done. Alternatively, if you convert your application process to a standard pl/sql procedure (i.e SQL Workshop>Object Browser>Procedures) you can call this procedure and pass in values as you would with any PHP page.
Simple example (untested)
CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE "foo" ( my_name varchar(20)
     , count NUMBER)
IS
     p_name varchar(20) := my_name;
     p_count NUMBER     := count;
BEGIN
--Do what you want
--output something
   htp.p(p_count || '.: '|| p_name);

The url on the page (or ajax call) would be something like "/pls/apex/{MY SCHEMA}.foo?my_name=Alistair&count=1"
Of course for text you will need to escape single colons and special characters etc.
I would really like to help you further so if you could create a working demo using a free workspace on http://www.apex.oracle.com and provide me with demo username/password. I can try and have a better look for you.
In all honesty, I'm sure you would be looking to create this as a plugin so that you can easily reuse it in various parts of your application and can easily update it or maintain it. I can help you with that as well if you want.

I have a web dynpro component using FPM. The default window of the application is FPM_WINDOW which is an interface view of component of FPM framework. so I cannot get the URL parameters in handledefault of a normal web dynpro app which is not using FPM. How do I get URL parameters in this case through FPM? Thanks!

I guess you might have created the application under FPM_OIF_COMPONENT/FPM_GAF_COMPONENT. For that add the pramaters to the PARAMTERS tab of teh application.
Now, you can use
data lo fpm type ref to if_fpm.
lo_fpm = cl_fpm=> get_instance( ).
CALL METHOD lo_fpm->mo_app_parameter->get_value
    EXPORTING
      iv_key   = 'PERNR'            "Application param name
    IMPORTING
      ev_value = lv_pernr.

If you have previously employed Create and delete iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch backups in iTunes - Apple Support, then restoring using iTunes should do the trick.

according to the online help, I'm supposed to click on Title to get to the titles settings as follows
"Adjust a title’s settings
You can modify a title’s default settings in the Title inspector.
Select a title in the Timeline.
Choose Window > Show Inspector (or press Command-4), and click the Title button at the top of the pane that appears.
Adjust the available settings as needed.
Note: You can also keyframe many of the settings in both the Title and Text inspectors."
Gsoing to the Text inspector, there does not seem to be anything in the menu where I can change the color of the text. Based on the photo that appears with the above instructions --it appears the ability to change ink color is under the Published Parameters that is the menu I cannot get to 'drop'

MAX function to get recent date doesn't work as expected

I recently started working on Oracle and came across this problem. I coded below given query to get the latest date from table and compare it with Sysdate + 1 timestamp. I am not able to understand what I coded wrong but the query gives me wrong results as explained below :
select NVL(MAX(to_char(max(last_update),'mm/dd/yyyy hh12:mi:ss AM')), to_char(sysdate + 1,'mm/dd/yyyy')||' 12:00:00 AM')
from Audit_Table_Name
where col1 = 'AA'
and location_type = 'STATE'
and original_flag = 'Y'
group by col1,location_type,original_flag;
Here Max(last_update) from Audit Table Contains value --> 08/25/2009 12:00:00 AM
Note : Data type of last_update is Date
so ideally speaking it should give 08/26/2009 12:00:00 AM but surprisingly it is giving 08/25/2009 12:00:00 AM as output. Anyone can explain why this is happening and what we need to do to get correct results?

1) Why would you expect this to return a date of 8/26? NVL returns the first parameter unless it is NULL. If the first parameter is NULL, it returns the second parameter. Since
MAX(to_char(max(last_update),'mm/dd/yyyy hh12:mi:ss AM'))returns a non-NULL value, that value will be returned. Oracle never needs to evaluate the second parameter
to_char(sysdate + 1,'mm/dd/yyyy')||' 12:00:00 AM'You state that you want to compare the MAX( last_update ) to SYSDATE + 1. Your code isn't doing a comparison now. And it's not clear from your description what comparison you actually want to do. Can you elaborate a bit on what you want to compare and what the output should be depending on the result of that comparison?
2) You almost certainly want to do as much of the logic as possible using dates and only convert to a string at the very end. Otherwise, you risk comparing two strings that represent dates using string comparison semantics and getting a result you don't expect.
3) My guess (and it is just a guess) is that you want something like
SELECT GREATEST( max(last_update), trunc(sysdate+1) )or
SELECT TO_CHAR( GREATEST( max(last_update), trunc(sysdate+1) ), 'mm/dd/yyyy hh12:mi:ss AM' )Justin

In my Access Decision isAccessAllowed method I need to check values of
the parameters passed to an EJB method. Now, if an EJB method I have
two parameters of the same type, for example int, when I get
ContextElement array from ContextHandler and iterate through it to get
names and values of the parameters I get the same value (value of the
first int parameter) from both ContextElement's.
Here is the code:
String [] names = ch.getNames();
for (int i = 0; i < names.length; i++)

System.out.println("name = " + name);//here it gets array of
Strings, which contains two parameter names: "int","int",
