Get rectangular array after Image rotated

I want to extract underlying data from a rectangle drawn on an image after it has been rotated.
The rectangle has been drawn with a mouse, and the mouse points are inverse-transformed
into original data coordinates.
The problem is the same as extracting data from a rectangular array that is not oriented on either
side along the coordinates (indices) of the original data.
I could apply an affine transform to the entire image and get the data that way, but the images
are quite large and I prefer to extract only the data I need.
Has anybody done this?

I'm unclear what you're trying to do, but whenever I need precise rotations translated fast, I used the affineTransform.transform(float[] src,int offset,float[] dst,int offset2) method.
And if you need the inverse transformation, just say:
AffineTransform inverted = originalTransform.createInverse();
That will get you just the points, without messing with shapes or PathIterators or anything else.

    Hi all!
    I'm having problems with image rotating..well actually drawing after image rotating.
    After I've rotate an image and have painted it, I'll have to paint another image. Problem is that the second image suppose to be painted normally, but now it rotates too. Please help me.

    I've tryed many differend ways, but for some reason(too dumb I guess) I can't make it work. If I don't draw rotated image to the BGroundWin screen flashes. if draw it there everything rotates.

  • How to remove black bars after image rotation

    I am very new to using premiere pro. I took a video with my smartphone as the content for a project.  The original dimentions was 1280 wide and 720high.  I imported the video and needed to rotate it 90 degrees.   Instead of wide, I need it tall. I imported and then went under effects control - motion - rotation to rotate how I wanted.
    But now on the screen has black bars on the sides since rotating it, and when I export the basic video settings is greyed out, so I can't change it. It is set/fixed at 1280 x 720 with the black bars.
    How can I remove the side black bars in premiere pro to fit the dimensions of the newly rotated video?

    You need to create a new sequence with the settings at 720X1280 and put your video on that sequence. It requires you to use the custom settings so make sure everything matches.
    To export it after you edit it, choose a 720p format and unlock the Width and Height so you can manually set the image to 720X1280.  That should work for you.
    To make sure I wasn't steering you wrong, I just shot a vertical video, imported it into a 720X1280 custom sequence, put a title on it and exported it using an Android preset, unlocked the settings and swapped the width and the height. I then emailed it to my phone and played it. Worked great.  It also plays OK in Windows Media Player. It is funny to see it that way on a PC, but I can think of a few reasons that I might be inclined to shoot that way. Specifically if I was going to play it on a portrait oriented display.

    something i got off from previous post*****
    1000 10 10 (new)
    1000 10 8 (changed in the next day)
    then extractor will send like this.
    first load means when the entry is created in the source system.
    1000 10 10.
    after change to 8. source will send the entry like this
    1000 10 -2.
    My question is, when i do a FULL LOAD into the next ODS, i keep getting only -2 as my result, not 8. How can i solve this in my update rule?

    Hi again,
    The delta records from an ODS always gets before and after images. For the full update, the records are always read from active table so this will only get the after image. Now suppose you are having wrong data in ODS2, you have to selectively delete the records from ODS2 and then do a full repair from ODS1. Incase of overwrite update rule, you need not do a selectively delete. So if ur data in ODS2 is wrong, delete it first and then do a full repair. You ran a full repai without deleting the already existing data and this might have created the problem.

    Hi, Thanks for that further bug description In Your Last Message That Describes The Problem I Am Having perfectly and is exactly the same for me.
    unfortunately that fix for my camera Powershot G6 does not work or apply as the view pictures switch is different on G6 is not usable during download as once you plug in DC/USB cable it turns off, and makes no diff and problem still exists exactly as you just described.

    it has been 17 days since apple promised to get back to me within 3-5 days hopefully with a solution, but I have still not heard from them.
    They blew me off, i guess, probably i will have to wait for new Yosemite OS update, which they pre-warned me could take as much as 6 months.
    I cannot believe apple released this new update with such major bug issues for camera downloads and that horrible "Photos" pgm which has all sorts of downgrades in features, usefulness and new bugs compared to iPhotos which I just finally got used to and was much better software.
    I am starting to lose faith in Apple and I am getting that Microsoft "FEEL" like I used to have when I was a PC user, which was why I originally switched to Apple  computers in first place.
    Oh well got my fingers crossed here.
    Thankfully the memory card reader solution  is working well, but cost me $45.

  • Image rotation working in template, but nowhere else

    Hi,
    I'm relatively new to Dreamweaver.
    I have a page with some rotating images, created following a Communitymx recommendation (http://www.communitymx.com/content/article.cfm?cid=651FF).
    The website template (http://www.johnaverill.com/templates/main_template.dwt) seems to rotate images perfectly; however, image rotation on index.html and the others will not work.
    Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks, Paul

    ah, you are correct.  sorry, I didn't catch that I was i am just posting the same old apparent bad code (index.html).
    I did create index_2.html and rename it to index.html per your instructions of Mar 5 (i've actually done it twice now). Pictures not rotating with the index_2 or the new index.html either.  
    Also noticed recreating the index continues to get me the extra:

  • Fast image rotation and contrast adaptation

    First: I'm new in vision processing.
    I'm using LabView 8.0 with the IMAQ Vision development module. The aim is to control the angle and the contrast of a precalculated image (a greyscale wedge) in a fast loop with a framerate of 60 or 100Hz. Currently I use the time-consuming IMAQ rotate and IMAQ BCG functions. All these function works very fine but a litle bit to slow for my application. I have measure: IMAQ rotate with 40ms and IMAQ BCG with 15ms for an image with 1024 x 768 pixels (8-bit greyscale) on a new PC. I know that an arbitrary rotation is a processor intensive task.
    Please correct me, but i assume that with IMAQ rotate the image rotation will be carried out in the PC RAM. Afterwards the recalculated image will be written in the grafic memory. In a final step the image will be displayed on the monitor by mean of the grafic processor.
    I can imagine there exist a solution or some ideas in the LabView community to use the high end 3D very fast grafic card processor for the rotation and contrast tasks. I hope the approach will accelerate the time of calculation.

    You might as well send the image once (each time it changes), and rotate it with opengl.

    This can be done a lot easier without an image. If you use OpenGL, you can just draw two triangles with there color set correctly. (You'd be able to make nice rainbow pictures as a bonus.)
    An C/C++ application, or dll, could be made in a few hours by someone experienced with opengl and c++. You could even create an opengl window, and control it with LabVIEW. In other opengl applications there are some practical problems, but some might not matter to your application. Biggest problem is getting feedback (mouse clicks, close, move, resize window etc.) from the OpenGL window to LabVIEW.
    Opening a opengl window, rotating a few polygons, adjusting color, closing window certainly doable.

  • Please help - I can not create large arrays of images (no more than 108 elements)

    Hello,
    I am working in an application where i acquire 300 high resolution images (3Mp) and then i process each of those frames.
    When i try to put alll those frames in one array of images, the system does not let me more than 108 elements. There is no such message like out of memory or memory error. It is just that when i visualize the array of images, there are good frames the first 108 elements, and then white frames the rest of the elements.
    Ideallically i would prefer to process frames as i am acquiring them, but i am concerned about the remaining processing time for the rest of the tasks.
    Then, as an alternative, I have tried to store frames in two shorter arrays, and i ended up observing that when the first array (say 50 elements) is full and the second array starts (another 50 elements for example), labview needs a certain time in the the middle (like three seconds between closing first array and starting acquiring on the second array). If i dont wait that time between arrays, both arrays contain the same information. I know, this is weird, and i know about the fact of passing information by reference on imaq images. 
    The most interesting thing is that when i reduce considerably the resolution of the image (say that now, instead 3Mp they are 2Mp), the maximum number of elements on the arrays are exactly the same: 108, so this makes me wonder if it is a memory constrain. And the code is fairly simple, there is no way that i am cutting the acquisition at the number 108.
    So my question is, How can i put 300 frames in one just one array? or How can eliminate the time i have to wait between arrays?
    I have heard about memory allocation and so, but i am not sure how to proceed. I have windows 7.

    It's hard to visualize.  Please post the code - or at least a shell representing your code - so we can see what is happening.  Are you sure you are getting 108 contiguous pictures, or are some aquisitions being skipped?  Is the first picture in the array the first aqcuisition?  Is the last picture the last acquisition?
    I really don't think it is about memory allocation.  I think it could be about your method of acquiring and processing said acquisitions.

    I believe I had leopard and I was having issues getting errors of system not being supported. I contacted Apple and was advised I needed to upgrade to snow leopard. My laptop is from 2009 and I haven't done anything to it till now. The apple rep also stated I should do a fresh install when putting snow leopard on so my laptop would run faster. Apple rep told me to get a external hard drive to put my info on it so the fresh install would reset everything to like it was brand new. I had someone help me with getting everything on the EHD.. doing the right format and such and then once that was done I put in the CD for snow leopard and hit install. Which brings me to now, with everything but my pictures. I have the EHD plugged in... now what? What do I do? I have looked in the EHD in iphoto and it was all standard images *not my pictures but images of a check mark or an arrow again not actual pictures. I don't see a folder pictures and i looked for images and found nothing. I have Applications, Included Free Designs, Library, System, User Guides and Information and Users, those are my options and non of those have a "pictures"
    I have iPhoto '09 version 8.1.2 & Mac OS X version 10.6.3

  • Array to Image Inconsiten​cy

    Hello, 
       I am using labview 10.0 to take images over time and then recording pixel values.  The camera I am using produces a U8 array and I have 2 methods for getting the data:
    1.  I use the labview array tools to select a subset of the U8 array and save it as a txt file.
    2.  I use the arraytoimage VI to convert the output to tiffs which I can then use another program to take line profiles of.
    In theory these two methods should give the same answer, but they don't.  I have attached a VI with the two methods and a picture of the VI comparison.  I have also attached a graph of the signal comparing the two methods.
    In theory the two curves should look the same as they are the exact same pixel, the only difference is that one is straight from the array, and the other was converted to Tiff and then reconverted to an array with Origin 8.  This makes me believe that something is messing up with the array to image conversion, or the saving to a Tiff.  I tried jpg, but that is even worse as jpg has compression.
    If anyone knows how to fix this it would be greatly appreciated.

    Are you sure that the two different calls to your get image VI are retrieving exactly the same data?
    Try using a single call and branch the data to the two different methods.

    the problem is that the type of "strParam" is a String.
    it's not a array of String. So it is not the parameter what i need.
    can u tell me how to get the array parameter from previous page. thanks.

    This cannot be achieved directly while using the setForwardURL method, all values that are there in the Hashmap will be appended when the redirection is done, so you cannot get the values that are there in the array object directly.
    Workaround that I can think of, put all the array values in a String object, appended by a delimiter, in the second page, after you do a getParameter(String), recover the values using a StringTokenizer and the delimiter that you used while appending the string values and store the values in a Array.

    Hi , i am having some problems with my program. I am trying to create an array of images( which i dont really know how to do) and i keep getting this error

  • How do I create an Array of Images

    Hi,
    I'm creating a program that basically is a slideshow. It has buttons that allow the user to switch from image to image, and has some audio in the background. I was wondering how I might create an array to store the images. I'm very new to Java, so please no detail is too small. I've just started using arrays, so I'm not sure where I would store the files or how to call the images. Please be descriptive and as dumbed down as possible :)

    I like ArrayList
    ArrayList<BufferedImage> myPics = new ArrayList();then just dump them in with add(myBufferedImage)
    If you'e not using BufferedImages then just change the BufferedImage to Image.
    to get, say the 6th image back out, then use:
    myBufferedImage = myPics.get(5);the index starts at 0 and should be addressed as 0 to (myPics.length - 1)
