  • How to get system information on a visual composer model

    Hi,
We are trying to build a model that will use some images, since we can not add images to the VC library we need to call the images using an URL, but the problem is that we would like to avoid to hard code the URL, since that will create a problem when we move the models across the landscape (DEV-TST-PRD) and we were thinking to use the system information to build the URL using an expresion.
Is it possible to get the system information on VC? just to clarify if I can get the system ID (system name) that will help us to define the URL.
Is there any other best practices to handle URLs without hard coding them?
    Thanks for your help,
    Zareh

You can add images to yoru VC solution model directly by selecting from the tools menu --> Image Manager then loading yoru images.
You can now reference these images from within your model as variables. Two controls that support this directly are the command button or image control. You will see under their propoerties values the image "tab" - you can now associate images you loaded for the Image Manger dynamically.
If your images are large and you want to store items for your portal in an external reference (outside VC). E.g. KM repository. You can define a shorturl for it and set a hyperlink object using this from VC or use the PCD address where the object is stored.
If you are trying to collect the portal url from R3/BI you can use the RSPOR_T_PORTAL (Maintained by BASIS) table values by using the BAPI RSWR_PORTAL_CONFIG_GET which will allow you to establish teh portal url prefix remotely.
    Trust this resolves your challenge.

  • Agent Dashboard - system information

    Hi,
In WebIC, when you click on date&time displayed on bottom right corner, an agent dashboard pops up.
In CRM 4.0 or 5.0, SID along with client is visible in WebIC Agent Dashboard. This is very useful to let you know in which system you are working on, especially when you have multiple clients in DEV or QA.
Unfortunately, in CRM 2007 I haven't been able to see this SID & client information.
I came across SAPNOTE 972520, but our system already contains this note.
Is there a configuration required somewhere to define what information should be visible in "system information" part of agent dashboard?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Kaushal

Seems like SAP has switched methods in class CL_CRM_IC_SYSTEM_INFORMATION
For getting system information they used method SYSTEM_INFORMATION_TO_STRING
Now they are using method DETERMINE_SYSTEM_INFORMATION which doesnt contain the SSID any longer, only the domain.
You can check this in page AgentDashboard.htm of component IC_BASE
line 109 (depending on system status)
    Best regards

  • System Information In Java

    Hello,
Can We Get System Information Like Motherboard,CPU,RAM,HardDisk etc.... IN JAVA???
    Thank-You

On windows you can run a VB script which obtains this information.
On UNIX you can read files in the /proc and run df to get the disk sizes.
It is fairly rare that you need to obtain this information and if you do there are plenty of free and commercial products which do this already, so there is little point writing your own.

Error 64 is being returned which is simply "the network name is no longer available".
There can be a number of reasons for this from SMB compatibility issues (2003 servers wont support SMB2), to the expected and actual computer name of the boxes don't match (tries to authenticate with server.tld.com when the actual name is srv-01.tld.com and
you just put a C-name in). I'd start from the top:  Try opening said share from the Primary Site server as that's the box doing the work.  Verify the IP and computer name is legit and that no one has played ACL games between the two systems (remember
RPC only initiates/listens on port 135 but established connections are up in the dynamic port range).
At the end of the day it's an issues "underneath" SCCM, and not an SCCM problem specifically.

Hello, I had 25Go transfered from MobileMe, skimmed down to 5Go now. I cleaned my emails. From mail, on my mac, 'get account information' shows less than 1 Go... From System preferences/iCloud, up to yesterday it showed 12Go...
    I don't understand!
These information are contradctory. Now my account is locked.
What Am I supposed to do???
    thanks for your help!

Well as far as I can tell the only developed alternative to Apple is Microsoft, sure you want to go there?
iCloud (and Mobile Me before it) are consumer level systems, working correctly they are a poor choice for business use, if you want to stay all Mac try Zimbra if you can let a little Microsoft in the mix use Microsoft Exchange (Mail, iCal & Address Book are compatible as clients), hosted Exchange systems cost about $10 per month.
Or try to fix what is wrong with your installation (which is clearly not running as it should)

  • RFM to get System:Component information?

In SAP GUI, under 'System | Status | Components', you see information on the components installed in your system, including Software Component, Release, Level, Highest Support Package, and a Description.
What RFM (RFC) can I call to get that information?
    Thanks.
    Tim

    Hello Tom,
the fm is also available in our 4.6C system. Could you provide some more informations regarding your release.
Think that the rfc is part of the solution manager installation (as the development class is named "Solution manager").
I didn't find another rfc delivering the data. There are only some function modules (w/o rfc flag). Perhaps you can have a look at these fm's (starting with OCS* or SPAM*, e.g. SPAM_READ_PAT03). If one of these delivers the required data, you can modify the fm by setting the rfc flag, or copy it.
Nevertheless, it should be no problem to develop an own rfc, providing the information from database tables UVERS and PAT03.
    Best regards
    Stephan

  • How to get numeric information about system performance using WMI calls?

    Hello everyone,
I'll make the question summarized for your convenience. I want to achieve the following task:
-To be able to measure system performance over a sustained period of time.
The way I intend to tackle that task is by doing the following:
-To use WMI calls to get system performance data in a numeric and/or a percentage form. (RAM utilization, CPU utilization, Power state [active/idle]).
The information I am trying to get is EXACTLY the information you can see in Task Manager under Performance tab.
Please help. If you think there is a better way to do this than using WMI calls, I couldn't be more glad to take your advice and apply it!!
    Thanks in advance!
    Ray

    There is a better way.
Use PDH function calls. This gets you as close as you can get to the performance counters provided by the operating system.
    Read more about it here.
    Examples found here.
    Codeproject example here and
    here
