Get the id or namespace of container of ADF Task flow

Hi,
I have an ADF Task flow and I put it inside either a region in a jspx page or portlet page. And I want to refer to the component in the adf page fragment in javascript by its id.
How do I dynamically detect the id of the container of the ADF task flow?
For portlet, I know there might be renderResponse.getNameSpace(). But I can't find way to do with jspx page. Should it be (HttpServletRequest)FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getRequest().getAttribute("Some attribute name? ");
Any one has done it?

I have created an adf task flow. Now I want to run some query in that based on the logged in userId.

Error while deploying the ADF task flow project based on a SOA human task

I created a SOA project with a BPEL process containing Human task, deployed it and could able to test it successfully. I created ADF task flow project based on the Human task created in the earlier project and tried to deploy it. It is giving the following error. The idea is to display the task details in BPM worklist.

Apart from these, I have Model and View Controller projects in the application. If I create the ADF task flow based on a Human task in another sample application, it works fine. Only in this application, it does not work. Not sure what this error is. Any ideas?

What I suggest is go into EM and undeploy this composite and all versions. (Only if you don't want the existing ones). Then redeploy your process. This will avoid the version conflict and create a new version. 1.0. Then the next time you try and deploy you need to either specify a new version or check the box to say the version can be over written.

Is it possible to get the output of a text container into Spool..?

I am trying to write a report for a standard transaction(SM65) in BDC and run thru background job so as to get the output in to Spool. Right now I am facing an issue to get the SM65(text container) tcode output into spool.
FYI..I am using "CALL TRANSACTION 'SM65' USING BDCDATA MODE 'E'."
Please provide tour valuable inputs.

Instead of writing BDC for T-code SM65 I would suggest you to use following function module to get the required data.
      CALL FUNCTION 'BPT_ANALYSE_START'
        EXPORTING

          profile_check          = sbpt1020-profilechk
          xpgm_environment_check = sbpt1020-xpgmcheck

Once you got the data into "global_protocol_tbl " you can create spool of it.

Unable to get the Oracle.DataAccess namespace

I'm trying to connect to remote 11g Oracle database using Oracle.DataAccess; working on Visual Studio 2008 installed on Windows XP.
I have downloaded and installed Oracle 11g ODAC and Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio 11.1.0.7.20 .
I have also installed OracleXEClient.
I have successfully connected to the database in the Server Explored -> Data connection.
I have successfully connected using the Sql data source. The connection String Provider is providerName="Oracle.DataAccess.Client".
But I cant import - use the Oracle.DataAccess;
using Oracle.DataAccess;
I get this error
Error 1 The type or namespace name 'Oracle' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)
How can I solve this problem?

Check the value of the ORACLE_HOME variable.
Also check other oracle variables.

How could I get the pdf-file output to contain more than one page from certain homepages

I have been using Firefox for many years now. I like this browser better than Safari. However. I have a problem when I have connected to a homepage over the web and want to write the content out to a pfd-file. The pdf-file does sometimes contain only one page. The material is good enough for two or more pages of output. I have checked that using Safari browser. I´d like to continue using Firefox so please tell med what to do!

XFA forms are not regular PDF's but XML files in a PDF shell.
To create a word file from those files, you first have to flatten the XFA forms by printing as PDF with the Adobe PDF Printer.
Then you can save using ExportPDF the created static PDF as Word document.

Passing input parameters to the method call in ADF task flow.

There is a task flow with 2 jspx pages. In the first page I have 2 input search parameters and search button. the search button calls the webservice data control execute (GET_ACCOUNTOperation) method .
Displaying the search results in the same page is not a problem , but my requirement is that the search results are to be displayed in the second page in tabular form.
To achieve this, I dragged the execute method as the method call in the task flow and specified the input parameters for the method call (right click and add parameters) . I am getting the following exception :

thanks for the quick turn-around. Jdev version that i am using is Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.6.0. And i am using SOAP. Isnt there a way without using a backing bean? I am planning to use it as a portlet. Would'nt creating a backing bean cause a problem in that case?? Also i am confused here . The method that i am dragging is GET_ACCOUNTOperation(Object). I tried passing the hashmap . It gave the following exception :

I have created an ADF task flow. I have created a ViewObject in this ADF taskflow and I am setting the value of this ViewObject using the java API.
The issue is that i need to show the data when this ADF task flow executes first time.
Currently I am getting the blank table in jspx page when ADF task flow is run. Now when I click on a button then I can see the required data in the table.
Please help me to solve this issue.

Looks like it is not able initialize the table until the jsff page gets loaded.

Need help to get the dID from a Webcenter TaskFlow

Hi everyone,
Here is a description of my need.
I would like, in an ADF Fusion Web Application, to be able to browse the UCM content and then locate a file to get its dID. I saw that multiple ADF Task Flows exist for that, such as Documents - Document Explorer, Documents - Document Navigator, etc. None of them seems to offer this feature.
The big picture here, is I want to select a file, within the UCM, to then link this file to a specific project in my application.
For example :
ProjectID 1, dID 3254234545
ProjectID 2, dID 5465434564
Does someone know a way for me to obtain the dID of a selected item on a "Documents - Document Explorer" taskflow?
I have looked into taskflow customization but I don't think this could be the solution to my problem.

I'm afraid the best available documentation is the one already provided. It is true that it does not mention explicitly if the parameter is input or output (unlike all the others it could be both), but searching for some more info and thinking about it I assume it must be an input one.

In the text it states that: "An ADF bounded task flow consists of its own set of private control flow rules, activities, and managed beans. A caller requires no internal knowledge of such things as page names, method calls, child bounded task flows, managed beans, and control flow rules within the bounded task flow boundary. Input parameters can be passed into the bounded task flow, and output parameters can be passed out on exit of the bounded task flow. Data controls can be shared between task flows."
This means, you could use either an output parameter (if the task flow is somehow exited - which it does not do at the moment; that's why I think the current param is an input one), or a data control.
Read on in the document, and it seems that a data control might be a better option here. I'm afraid it leads more to the realm of ADF, so it might be better to search the ADF forum - even though, some forum users might be able to help even here.
Another question is how to fill in this parameter. If it is not implemented, you will have to analyse the insides of the task flow. I think WebCenter Portal uses the RIDC Java API, so you will have to search where a DOC_INFO service is called (via RIDC or Web Services - note that there are few DOC_INFO services). See this link http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/doc.1111/e11011/c04_core.htm#BABBCIEB and on for details. These services return result sets, particularly one called DOC_INFO where you can find dID to be copied to your output parameter/data control.
I've been also thinking if dDocName would not be more appropriate - dDocName marks a content item, dID marks a revision (there might be more for one content item), but you seem to know what you need.

There is no "App Launcher" in the US English version.
You should have:
Dock
LaunchPad
Mission Control
Game Center
If you have the Dock, but one of the other three are missing from it, look in the /Applications folder. If the missing applications are there, just select and drag to the Dock and the proper aliases will be created for easy operation.
If these are missing from your /Applications folder, then a reInstall-in-place may be required if the Combo update innocentius suggested above does not fix it. It is intended to not delete any of your User Files or added Applications, but a recent backup would be prudent.
