GetFolderListRequest with Mailbox

I'm developing a app to use GW Web Service in Java.
I'm having a issue with getFolderListRequest method when I set the id of "Mailbox" as the parent .
getFolderListRequest ( 7.dom1.po1.100.0.1.0.1@16, sView, false,
false, false, loginRes.getSession(), false )
It supposed to return folder list under "Mailbox", but now it return the home folder of the user connected.
I tried other folder like "Cabinet" seems OK, works as expected.
The GW version is 8.0.1
Anyone experience same issue, or provide some suggestion, will be great appreciated.

There are issues with getting sub folders of the
Mailbox folder using the Mailbox folder as the
parent element. I'm not sure I have a work around.

    We are in the process of migrating from 2010 to 2013.  Users with mailboxes on exchange 2010 can't proxy to the owa on Exchange 2013 - there is no error - just receiving a message "Still working on it"

    Hi Alex,
    As the above suggestion mentioned, you can try to upgrade the Exchange 2013 to CU8 and check if any helps:
    Cumulative Update 8 for Exchange Server 2013

  • Issue with mailbox in Time Machine

    Hello,
    I did a back up with my Time Machine before replacing my HDD with a NEW  HDD.
    I want to recover all data in Time machine to my New HDD but it's not working. Time machine is not detected in boot option but shows up on desktop. When i enter Time Machine, The back ups from the New HDD allows system restore but the old HDD back up will not allow me to restore my system with it.  I have the full back of the old HDD.  I have seen errors Saying that is not the original version and unable to locate the original.
    At the end, i did a manual restore, But i am having problem with my mailboxs. My old emails which is over 3000 are missing in my inbox. I am receiving new mails with no problems. I  really want to have my old emails back to my inbox ....is important to me.  I used POP configuration in entourage.
    Please, can someone help me with a Step by Step guide to get my emails back? Or if possible install my Old HDD backup from Time machine.
    Thanks in Advance.
    NB: I have little experience with MAC / leopard.

    Thanks.
    This is all in the Time Machine interface, right?
    I'm only guessing here, and someone else may see this and correct me, but it may be that as you go back in the TM interface to particular points in time, TM displays only files meeting the search criteria +which were modified on that date+.
    Here's my reason for that speculation:
    I did a search in TM for a file named "Gray01" which exists on my source drive now, and when I clicked the big "back" arrow in TM it went back a few days (even though that file existed on my drive every day in between) and stopped at the last-modified date, and then when I clicked the "back" arrow again it did the same thing, until I got to the creation date.
    This may be implementation of a feature. "Mac 101: Using Time Machine" indicates:
    +Besides restoring deleted files, Time Machine can restore previous versions of an existing file. For example, if you made changes to a really important presentation, then accidentally saved unwanted changes to the original file, Time Machine can restore the previous version, and preserve the current version too!+
    So while you may have a number of files meeting your search criteria that existed in a particular backup, when you navigate in the TM window to that particular date and time TM first sees all the files that meet your criteria but then filters its display to only those which were modified on that particular date.
    This would make sense to me if TM is designed to enable you to locate a particular prior version of a file.
    What do you think?

  • Help with mailbox recovery

    We recently implemented retention policies at one of our sister companies. In preparation for that, the owner of that company (and of all of our company's) needed to setup rules to keep all messages to/from a specific list of senders. While processing those
    multiple rules, the rules created massive amounts of duplicates and ballooned his mailbox to 553GB, which obviously caused other side effects, with log file growth, free space, backups, etc. We've opened a PSS ticket to assist with determining why the rules
    behaved as they did.
    So moving forward, I think we've decided (unless someone here has a better idea) to restore a version of his mailbox to a pst, from the night before the rules began running. Then the team who created the rules will handle final resolution of his mailbox.
    We run full backups on Friday evenings, and differentials on the other days. I've used our 3rd party backup software (Arkeia) to restore the raw database & log files to a restore folder, but I cannot get the database state to become clean in
    order to mount it into the recovery database. What I find odd about this restore is that it restored one .edb and 46,456 log files (e03001e544b.log through e03001f09c0.log). The Exchange build is 14.3.158.1.
    The path of the restored edb & logs is: G:\Restore\program files\microsoft\exchange server\v14\mailbox\ahp mailbox database
    After the restore completed, I made a backup copy of the .edb and placed it here: G:\Restore
    Using the non-backup copy of the .edb, below is what I receive. I've already ran these commands once, am I'm running them again for documentation purposes... not sure if there is a side effect to running them multiple times?

    Where am I doing incorrectly? I've never restored an incremental or differential backup on Exchange. Since this is just the full backup, and I also need to add in the differential from a few days later, do I need to mount the full first and somehow import

    Hello JimCass,
    From the information, we have one corrupted transaction logs which make the soft recovery(eseutil /r) failed, thus we try to hard repair the database EDB file, however it also report error message as the below:
    =============================================
    Command we use:
    eseutil /p
    /t c:\tempdb /g "G:\Restore\program files\microsoft\exchange server\v14\mailbox\ahp mailbox database\ahp mailbox database.edb"
    Error message:
    Operation terminated with error -1032 (JET_errFileAccessDenied, Cannot access file, the file is locked or in use) after 30.62 seconds.
    =============================================
    From the command we use, I noticed that we want to set the temp database location, right? If so, the command is incorrect. Please use this command instead:
    eseutil /p
    /t “c:\tempdb\tempdb.edb” /g "G:\Restore\program files\microsoft\exchange server\v14\mailbox\ahp mailbox database\ahp mailbox database.edb"
    How to Run Eseutil /P (Repair) in Different Scenarios
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997215(v=exchg.65).aspx
    Note: When we specify the temp database location, it should contains
    the full location of the temp EDB file. And the folder “c:\tempdb” should exist otherwise error message like “invalid path” will occur.
    In light of above, please refer to above command to repair the database EDB file. But please aware of that database repair could cause data loss since we have transaction logs can’t be replayed to the EDB file.
    Meanwhile, to merge the differential backup data to the mailboxes, we can first restore the full backup data(250GB), then we can got the mailbox data on 8/1, take the mailbox to production.
    After that, for the differential backup data, also use the same method to get the EDB file to clean shutdown, use your method to restore the data to PST, then import the PST data to the mailbox which have been production. Or we also can use Recovery Database
    to restore the data to a production mailbox.

  • I Phone Freezes with Mailbox and CD Logo-Help Please

    any help would be appreciated.
    Also, this occurs about once per week, but usually resolves with a re-charge. However, this is NOT the problem. Thanks again.

    It sounds like your iPad is in recovery mode after an error in the update process that may have occurred. The solution to this would be to plug it into a computer running the latest version of iTunes and press the restore button. This will ease the iPad and reinstall iOS. Hopefully you setup an iCloud or iTunes backup for the device.

  • Junk email rule causing problems with mailbox restore

    Running the command new-restoremailboxrequest on Exchange 2010 SP1.  The restore fails and the following event is logged which seems to indicate a conflict with the Junk Email rule.  I've tried disabling junk email by using set-mailboxjunkemailconfiguration

    If you refer to the post titled "JNDI, Active Directory (Creating new users & demystifying userAccountControl)" at http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=582103&tstart=15 you wil notice that because of the stricter security in Windows Server 2003 Active Directory, user accounts created with null passwords are automagically disabled.
    To enable new user accounts you must assign a password (that meets the security policy !) and then enable the account.

  • Using .mac with mail.app and iphone...problems with mailbox folders i think

    Is it normal in mail.app for my folders to be as follows: Under the heading Mailboxes, I have Inbox folder and Sent folder and trash folder. Then, instead of a junk folder under that, it is below all of that under the heading Chris's Email (obviously my account). Why is this?

    Who is your ISP used for connecting to the internet?
    Are you also accessing an email account and SMTP server that is provided by your ISP with the Mail.app and if so, are you able to send messages with your ISP's email account?
    Most if not all ISPs used for connecting to the internet now block the use of SMTP servers that are outside of their network (or not provided by the ISP) on Port 25 which is the default port for SMTP servers.
    Some ISPs allow the use of an authenticated SMTP server only (such as the .Mac SMTP server) on Port 25 but some block its use regardless.
    These restructions are in place as part of an overall effort to prevent spam emanating from the ISP's domain.
    First thing to try.
    Go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts and under the Account Information tab for your .Mac account preferences at the SMTP server selection, select the Server Settings button below the the .Mac SMTP server.
    Enter 587 in place of 25 in the Server Port field and when finished, select OK to save the changed setting.
    If this doesn't work, you need to contact your ISP. If you are accessing an email account and SMTP server that is provided by your ISP used for connecting to the internet with the Mail.app, in the interim select/use your ISP's SMTP server to send messages with your .Mac account which is invisible to all recipients.

  • Need Help with mailboxes

    I have recently switched to .mac for my mail and am also using the Mac mail program for the first time. I set it up with a primary email address, but wanted to add another mailbox. I did so from the mail program itself, but after I tried to go online with it, it turned out there was already another mailbox out there with that name. So I set another up through the online (web) mail program. Now I can't get rid of the old one and can't get the new one to show up on my mail program. The bogus mailbox now has a perpetual spinning gear next to it as well as a triangle icon with a ! in the middle of it. when I put my cursor over that triangle, a window pops up with this:
    "There may be a problem with the mail server or network. Check the settings for account “davidmcgill” or try again.
    The server error encountered was: The connection to the server “mail.mac.com” on port 993 timed out."
    I have quit and restarted the program with no change. I think I might have tried to send mail from that mailbox, thinking it was the newer good one. Thanks for any help you can give.

    There are server issues with .Mac at the present time. I copied the following under Support via webmail access for my .Mac account.
    +100% of members might experience slower than normal response when using IMAP mail. Mail can be sent and received using .Mac webmail. Normal service will be restored ASAP.+

  • How to deal with Mailbox is full (i'm on IMAP)

    hi all. i realize this is not specifically a Mail problem but would anyone mind helping me figure out if there are various ways to deal with full mailboxes with mail getting kicked back from senders?
    i have a large amount of email addresses and i have one that will not accept mail due to the size. i am trying to delete obvious junk mail from Mail and i am getting an error so i am not trying to do this from within the User Interface of my website host.
    however, once i get below the limit should i DOWNLOAD all the mail to the local mail section of my laptop or desktop or how do i handle this? i mean, if i download all the mail to the laptop or to the desktop it is by definition not going to be available to my other devices and i sometimes really need to access this mail...
    THANKS

    Sorry to bump this thread from the grave, but I too have similar problems, though for me it seems that it is only on Windows machines. (Again, sorry to crosspost, this is just like...the only conversation I've seen about this and felt it better to consolidate than despair in the loneliness of it all).
    Has anyone been able to solve this at all?

  • How can I configure Lion server or mail.app to show IMAP subfolders with mailboxes?

    I'm sure we've all seen the weird IMAP glitch where mail subfolders appear down lower on the mail.app pane instead of nested neatly under the mailbox itself.  Usually you can get around this by changing the Inbox IMAP prefix to "" or "INBOX" or "/" or some such path that the server recognizes as the root path to your IMAP folder.  Unfortunately, this sometimes means you are unable to work with those folders or introduce other problems.
    Since I am running Lion (Client) and Lion Server as my mail host, I would think that there is an appropriate answer to this either on the mail.app client settings, or perhaps with a Lion Server configuration through DOVECOT.  I don't mind if the solution is a command-line one, but I need to be able to easily set up my mailboxes so that mail subfolders appear properly under each mailbox, instead of being hidden away lower on the page where it is very inconvenient to find, especially when you are using multiple email accounts.
    Client Machine Lion 10.7.3
    Server Machine Lion Server 10.7.3
    Please Help!!!!

    I've tried editing /etc/dovecot/conf.d/10-mail.conf on Lion Server to add the following:
    namespace private {
      type = private
      separator = /
      prefix = INBOX/
      inbox = yes
    This puts me in a catch-22:
    If I leave the "IMAP Path Prefix" setting in the account Advanced tab empty, I can see the subfolders and move messages in and out of them, but can't add or edit the folders or heirarchy.
    If I set the "IMAP Path Prefix" to "INBOX" I can add and edit subfolders, but they don't appear nested under my inbox.
    Please help!

  • Office 365 with mailboxes and dirsync without Exchange on-premises

    I currently have Active Directory deployed on premises without Exchange. I am migrating my e-mail to Office 365 from a third-party service and want to use dirsync + password sync so my users can use the on premises credentials and Office
    365.
    Since I do not have Exchange installed on premises (and therefore do not have the Exchange on premises management tools), how do I manage the mailboxes for the synchronized users? I know I cannot change e-mail related attributes, such as e-mail addresses,
    directly in Office 365 for synchronized users.
    Thanks!

    If you are going to use dirsync, the local AD will be the source of authority, so only a very limited subset of attributes can be edited directly in the cloud (either via the EAC or EO PowerShell). It's a very good idea to extend the AD with the Exchange
    attributes, as you will definitely need to manage some of those. For more info you can review for example this article:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh852478.aspx
    After you have installed Exchange and thus extended the schema, you can safely remove the Exchange server right away. All the needed attributes will be available via dsa.exe, or AD module for PowerShell.
    I would also recommend creating distribution groups directly in the cloud, because even with the extended schema, you will run into some management issues. You can read more about it here:
