Getting all querystring variables without knowing variable names

I am trying to build a page that takes all the querystring variables and prints them out on the page. I have no idea how many there will be or the names of these variables. Is there way to iterate through the collection of querystring names and print the name and value?
Thanks in advance.

Use request.getParameterNames().
This will return an Enumeration of String objects containing the names of the parameters contained in this request. (see the API)

  • How to get the jar file without knowing its name and any class inside it?

    Hello, everybody!
    I would like to know if there's a way to get a reference programatically to the initial jar without knowing its name and any class contained in it. By "initial jar" I mean the jar that was called in the prompt, like this:
    java -jar jarfile.jaror in another way, in a graphical system. To be sincere what I really want is to get a reference to the jar's manifest, but I know if I can get a reference to the jar I can get a reference to its manifest file. Or if you know a way to get the manifest directly, it would also help. So, is there a way to do this?
    Thank you.

You still haven't provided a use case or explained what you're trying to accomplish. As already pointed out, whatever you're trying to do, this is a brittle solution. If you explain what you're trying to accomplish with this, somebody may be able to suggest a better approach.jverd, I explained for baftos. Anyway, I will try to be more specific. I start my sytem like this, from, say, for example, jar1.jar:
    import br.product.System;
    public static void main(String[] args)
        System.start("NameOfTheSystem");
    }The System class is in util.jar, for example. This jar is used by all systems. I wouldn't like to pass in the name of the system, as above. I would like that the System class could read it from jar1.jar's manifest file. I just would like to have this:
    import br.product.System;
    public static void main(String[] args)
        System.start();
    }It is more elegant and I don't have the name of the system in two places: code and manifest file.

  • Get all the variables declaration in a program

    Is there a possible way to get all the variables declarations ( name and type ) inside a java program and not only the fields that you can easily get with reflection mechanism but also local variables inside a method?

    local variables inside a method?Nope, you'd have to get inside the call stack for that and there's no easy mechanism for that.Even that wouldn't do it, since not all code is on the call stack at all times. There are ways to do it, using bytecode engineering, but I'm not going to get into that because if you don't already know how to do it, I doubt you have a problem that genuinely requires it.
    It's a bogus requirement anyway. Whatever you're trying to do, OP, it's doomed to failure. What are you trying to do? I mean, what were you doing that led to you thinking "If I knew what those local variable were, I'd manage it!"?

  • How to read a Oracle Forms PARAMLIST without knowing parameter names

    Hi All,
    Is there a way to read a Oracle Forms Paramlist on Oracle Forms (I mean read all parameters on it) without knowing any names of the parameters?
    I´d like to create a command line at run time and put on this command line all the parameters and its values, but I will never know the quantity of parameters and its names and values.
    Example of the command line I want to create:
    rwrun.sh batch=yes destype=file desname=/tmp/cmx_objetos.pdf desformat=pdf userid=***/***@*** module=/d01/oracle/VIS/apps/apps_st/appl/ecomex/fmx/cmx_objetos.rep parameter1=value1, parameter2=value2 ... paramaterN=valueN
    Thanks.

    As Francois said it is not clear if you are talking about Forms or Reports here. If Reports: check Get parameter name and type at runtime thread.
    But if you have no idea of the number or names of the parameters? How do you know which values to assign at all?

  • Read file without knowing full name

    Dear All,
    I want to read data from a file but without knowing the file's full name.
    For example i have data files from a program that the first letters of the data files are the date and the rest some numbers i cannot predict i.e 20081027_5323621.
    Is it possible to read this file by knowing only the characters that correspond to the date?
    thanks!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Yes,
    You can set a pattern in the file dialog that points to the date (formatted).
    The output of the file dialog will be the complete file path for the file that was selected..
    One question..  Do you want a popup window to browse for the file?  to allow selecting one of the matching file(s)...
    Because there may be more than one file that has a matching date...

  • Getting method parameters variable names

    Hi,
    I am trying to generate a list of methods, their parameter types as well as their localnames for a given class.
    Example
    TestClass
    method1 (String name, int number)
    method2 (Employee emp)
    I checked the reflection API and it doesnt seem to give me the option to get the param name. Now its surely possible as some tools do it, like JBuilder whwne I type the method name, it give me the complete description.
    Also javadocs provides the info. I wrote a subclassed doclet that provides the info, but the trouble is that I can run it from the command line using javadocs - doclet....
    But how do I run it from code.
    Any tips
    Thanks in advance
    Revon

    hi,
    there you are wrong: You can't retrieve the parameter name from a class file because this information isn't saved (otherwise this would have been a feature in the reflection api). Tools like JBuilder use the source files and the comment tags to retrieve further information.
    best regards, Michael

    Hey, So I know this sounds pretty stupid at first, but let me explain a bit; I made my apple Id on my I Pod Touch, and it asked me to make security questions (in which I made two, this is where the "fun" begins), however it didn't ask me to make a rescue email as that was going to just be my E-mail account and the link to change the security passwords isn't appearing, and as such I now am stuck: with two security questions that I don't remember the answers too and I don't have the option to send the info I need to my e-mail account, If you can help me; that would be apreciated

         1. If you have a valid rescue email address, then use this procedure:

         2. Fill out and submit this form. Select the topic, Account Security. You must
             have a Rescue Email to use this option.

                         Thanks for your information but
    the where used list internally uses 'RS_TOOL_ACCESS' FM for that FM if we give object type and object name then it gives some search results  and from there we can check the variables names manually directly but i want to get the list of variable names directly

  • What's user variable name using Smart View POV function (ex:HypGetActiveMember)?

    Hi,
    We want to use Smart View POV function (ex:HypGetActiveMember) to get the active member of user variables from HFM forms selected into Excel, but we don't know the user variable name in the following paragraph of Smart View developer guide:
    "To uniquely identify the user variable, provide the user variable name rather than the dimension name."
    For example, what's the user variable name of Year dimension? How to get the user variable name?
    Any information would be appreciated. Thank you!

    Hi,
    I guess user variable name is set by users/developers. I am not very clear on your question. If you have defined some variables to select any members from a dimension then it will be in HFM only. In planning we have two kinds of variables User Variables (we set it from Planning Preferences) and Substitution variable (we set it from Essbase Consol in the backend). Without looking into your application it is difficult to say the user variable name. Like for Year the user variables can be "PreviousYear", "CurrentYear", or "NextYear" etc.

  • Access a DVD via the shell without knowing it's name

    I'm trying to write a simple shell script that will access a folder on the current DVD, without knowing the name of the DVD.
    I would like to access via /Volumes/DVD, but that doesn't exist. Instead, when a DVD is inserted, it is mounted with it's name (ie: /Volumes/MyDVDMovie).
    Is there a simple way of doing this?

    I've not seen any particularly elegant answer to this before but the necessary information is out there. First, the CDROM drive on YOUR system will have a particular device name starting with perhaps /dev/disk1 as it is on my system. Using the command df with a known CDROM in your drive will help you know which it is. Everything after /dev/disk? will vary depending on the CDROM contents.
    The following script, albeit not elegant will set CDPATH to the volume of the CD. I used a CD with spaces in the name to test as CDROMs and DVDs often have spaces.
    #!/bin/bash
    CDPATH=`df -h |grep /dev/disk1 |
    awk '{
    for (i=6 ; i<=NF; i++)
    if (i == NF)
    printf("%s", $i)
    else \
    printf("%s ", $i)
    }'`
    echo The CDROM Volume path is \"$CDPATH\"
    Results on my system:
    The CDROM Volume path is "/Volumes/Plants vs. Zombies"
    Do note that this script is specific to your system (due to the CDROM device path) unless you locate a source to determine which device represents the cdrom.

  • Loading a class via reflection without knowing the full qualified path ?

    Hi there
    I d like to load a class via reflection and call the constructor of the class object. My problem is that I dont know the full qulified name e.g. org.xyz.Classname bur only the Classname.
    I tried different things but none seem to work:
         1. Class c = Class.forName("Classname");  //does not suffice, full qualified name required
    2. ClassLoader classloader = java.lang.ClassLoader.getSystemClassLoader();
             try {
               Class cl = classloader.loadClass(stripFileType(Filename));//if i do not pass the full qualified name i get a ClassNotFoundException
    3. I tried to consruct a class object with my own classloader , calling:
              Class cl = super.defineClass(null, b, 0, b.length );     b is of type byte[]This almost works. I get a class Object without knowing the full qulified path. I can transform a filename into a raw array of bytes and I get the class out of it. But there is still a problem: If there are more than on classes defined in the same textfile I get an InvocationTargetException.
    It looks like this:
    package org.eml.adaptiveUI.demo;
    import com.borland.jbcl.layout.*;
    import java.awt.*;
    import org.eml.adaptiveUI.layout.*;

The problem is now that the twoButtons constructor calls the TransfomationDemo_jButton1_actionAdapter constructor and this leads to InvocationTargetException. I dont know if this is a java bug because it should be possible.
    Can you help me?

    hi thanks at first,
    the thing you mentioned could be a problem, but I dont think it is.
    If I have the full qualified name (which I havent) then everything goes normal. I only have to load the "twoButtons" class and not the other (actionadapter class), so I dont think this is the point. In this case the twoButtons constructor constructs an object of the actionadapter class and everything goes well. The bad thing is though that I do not have the full qulified name :(
    Invocation target exception tells me (in own words): Tried to acces the constructor of the actionadapter class (which is not public) out of class reflectionTest class .
    reflectionTest is the class where the reflection stuff happens and the twoButttons class is defineClass() ed.
    The problem is, only twoButtons class has the rights to call methods from the actionadapter class, the reflection class does not. BUT: I do not call the actionadapter methods from the reflection class. I call them only from the twoButtons class.
    I hope somebody understands my problem :)
