Getting ClassNotFoundException in Applet by using JDK1.6_20

In my web application, we are using an applet which gets invoked from the jsp.
Its working fine with jdk1.5 and 1.4 but when I am executing it on machine having JDK1.6_20 its throwing ClassNotFoundException. (Please see the log below)
I cleared the cache and history but still getting this issue.
I tried by switching off to Next Generation Java Plugin but still its not working.

2) The code and archive attributes should be in the applet opening element, not specified as params.
3) Does that applet truly accept a 'name' param?
4) The barcode param value looks suspiciously like it it is malformed.
Fixing those things (barring point 4, but also removing the redundant spaces in the param elements) might result in something like..
<applet
     name="myApplet"
     code="com.idautomation.linear.BCApplet"
     archive="LinearBarCode.jar"
     width="390"
     height="105"

The above code is working in JDK1.4 and 1.5 but throwing classnotfoundexception.Did you mean ClasNotFoundException? If so, then please use the correct capitals, so there is no confusion. This is even more important on an international technical forum.
I am not clear with the response "Change line 114, column 28 of the source from a '.' to a ','. All the problems should be gone." , kindly explain where I need to change this.That was commonly known as sarcasm. It meant I cannot fix code that I cannot see. That is why I requested you post the SSCCE (please read the link).
It's an internal application not publicly available.OK - understood.

  • Is there any way to use JDK1.4PreferenceAPI in JWS + Applet clients

    Dear Friends,
    Actually, we are in process of reusing the J2sdk1.4 new utilities like (Preferences API ) in all the applications means Application client, Java WebStart
    Client , Applet client. As for as Application client is concern , we do not have any problem at all, Its because of, J2sdk1.4 Preferences API provides an
    option to Plugin our Implementation for reading and writing User Preference Information.
    But Incase of JWS client or Applet client , we can not Plug in our own Preference Factory Implementation , because of some security concern. We came
    to know that it is possible via setting system property -D option and signing the Jar which uses this Preference API class. But it will create more problem
    for our client while using our application . So we need to use JDK1.4 Preference with out using above two methodology.
    Is there any possible solution which can help me to use the JDK1.4 Preference API in all the clients????.
    Please do help me as early as possible. This is very very important for us.
    Thanks in advance
    with regards,
    Pitchaimani

    Dear Sir,
    Thanks for your immediate reply, I had solved the problem by putting both the classes in a single signed jar. Now i am get into the new Problem. The problem is, even if i set the SystemProperty for Preference Factory, it doesn't take effect at all.
    Actually what happened was, while starting the
    Browser(Netscape or IE), browser will try to load all the Java classes (which includes InputMethodManager class also). This InputMethodManager class create an Object for Preference Node and use the same for getting the Preference values. In this case if i invoke My Application(Applet) from the browser, and set the System Property (For Preference Factory), it won't take effect at all. Suppose if i use Preference.userRoot() in my application, it will try to look the Java Preference Object and return the same which is not a desired one. So i would like to know, is there any mechanism to set/reset the Preference Factory (for my Application alone)???
    Please help me to get out of this problem. It is very very important for me.
    Your help is highly appreciated
    Thanks & Regards,
    Pitchaimani

    Right. Using WebLogic RMI proprietary implementation (t3) with 6.1 requires
    1.3 on the client side. If you absolutely have to use 1.2 on the client side,
    IIOP should work - I just tried this and it looks like WebLogic 6.1 implements
    EJB spec interop requirements pretty well.

    get context over IIOP using jdk1.2.2 to WLS 6.1. I have not yet deployed

    Should I proceed? or is there a gotcha?

  • Getting an ntvdm error while using single sign-on

    HI!
    When I run GssExample from the tutorial, I get an ntvdm error in a requester, saying "Error while setting up environment for the application. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.".
    Then I can klick on "Close" or "Ignore". Either way, it takes some seconds and then GssExample is working as expected. But this requester is of course annoying. I get it every time I start GssExample.
    This only happens with single sign-on (useTicketCache=true).
    Using JDK 1.4.0 on Windows 2000 SP2.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

  • Help me Deploy WAR file in SUN iPlanet Web Server 6.1 SP7 using JDK1.6 & JS

    Hi All,
    Can any one help me on this.
    I'm using
    JDK1.6
    JSF1.2
    JSTL1.1
    Hibernate3.2.5
    ANT1.7
    JUnit
    HTML
    Oracle10g
    Trying to deploy this war file in SUN iPlanet Web Server 6.1 SP7. Can I use JDK1.6 & JSF1.2 in web server6.1

    What is the exact version of Web Server you are using? Should be in the error logs or try $start -version
    It would be faster if you can capture and cut and paste the data that is sent between firefox and Web Server in both the cases using /usr/sfw/bin/ssltap (http://www.mozilla.org/projects/security/pki/nss/tools/ssltap.html) or ethereal when you try to view that shtml file. We can see if its any different in both cases and try it from there.
    Also verify the steps given in http://docs.sun.com/source/817-1832-10/pgshtml.html
    mime.types should have :
    type=magnus-internal/parsed-html exts=shtml
    obj.conf should have :
    Service fn="shtml_send" type="magnus-internal/parsed-html" method="(GET|HEAD)"
    When you activate parsing, magnus.conf should have :
    Init funcs="shtml_init,shtml_send" shlib="install_dir/bin/https/bin/Shtml.dll" NativeThreads="no" fn="load-modules"
    Shtml.dll (or libShtml.so on UNIX), is located in install_dir/bin/https/bin for Windows, and install_dir/bin/https/lib for UNIX.

  • Using jdk1.3 compiler over network on NT SP6 and Windows 2000 is very slow.

    We recenlty shifted to jdk1.3 from jdk1.2.2. We compile java files that
    are on a mapped network drive. The compiler,source files and the class
    files are read from and written to a mapped network drive.
    We have noticed that our compilation times have increased 3 times since
    we started using jdk1.3. We compile around 4000 files which use to take
    4 hours when jdk1.2.2 was used and with jdk1.3 it is taking around 14
    hours. This is the case when we compile on Windows 2000 and Windows NT
    Service Pack 6 machines. But compiling on Windows NT ServicePack5 it
    would get compiled in 5 hours. This is really weird but that is the
    workaround we have now that is using a NT Sp5 machine for compilation.
    Wondering if anyone else has seen this problem. Please let me know.
    Thanks,
    VJA.

    Well the bottleneck in your build process is always going to be the network regardless of the compiler you use.
    Ok, the compiler may be slower but the I/O issues far outweigh the compiler performance.
    What affects the build process you have that you can compile on a particular machine but the files must remain on a central server?
    There is little difference in copying all the files to a local machine, compiling locally and copying the class files back to the server, and having the compiler read from and write back to a network driver apart from performance. Obviously there may be some issues however very few that cannot be resolved.

  • I'm thinking about use jdk1.4, but...

    but I'm seeing lot of posts about errors using jdk1.4.
    I've heard that 1.4 manages the repaint of swing components better than 1.3, is this true?
    Why is 1.4 few compatible with 1.3?
    Should I change to 1.4?

    Best thing to do is try it. There are a lot of new problems with the new JRE, but these may not affect anything you are developing. On the plus side, you get fairly massive speed increases, plus access to all the new APIs.
    There may be issues with 1.4 and any IDE you might be using, not least because of the new class file version, the assert keyword, the focus problems usw...

  • How to get all events from calendar using calcalendar store framework.

    Hello,
    I have two problems with calcalendar store framework programming.
    1. I need all the event which are present in iCal calendar.Event may be present in year 2025 or 2050. and if the event is recurring then i need only one event.
    2. if the event is recurring then i need only one event within the calendar event predicates (start date and end date). I am not suppose to give the occurrence date for event.
    How can I implement this with CalCalendar store framework.
    Thanks And Regards,
    xmax.

    Hi,
    Per my knowledge, there is not a method to get all the recurring events using CAML query in one request.
    Here is a thread with the similar question for your reference:
    https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/sharepoint/en-US/eed6be6d-c9ff-4d01-80de-8a4b67d3d7a5/use-caml-to-get-all-recurring-events-from-a-calendar
    We can get all the calendar list events at first, then filter all the recurring event from the result set.
