Getting error in OSB service

Hi All,
I am facing a peculiar error in OSB. I have an application running in OSB. When I redeployed the application it took more than 10 mins to activate the changes which is not at all expected. Also when I deleted the the application and again deployed it it is taking same more than 10 mins to get activated. When I examibed the log file I got the following error

Thanks in Advance!!

Roshni,
This exception has nothing to do with the delayed deployment. You will only see this exception when messages are arriving for the proxy service which is getting deployed. Which means you are changing the proxy configuration and activating the changes at the same time when few messages are being received by the proxy. So this exception is expected one.
As far as deployment time is concerned, definitely 10 mins is a huge time but deployment time varies on the basis of multiple factors -
1. Size of OSB repository (if you have huge projects deployed then deployment time may be more)
2. Deployment during peak load time (if you are doing the deployment when server is handling lot of messages then deployment may be delayed)
3. Available CPU and memory during deployment time
To figure out the root cause, you may take thread dumps of OSB servers during deployment and figure out that where the deployment process is getting stuck. You may also consider raising SR to support.
You may also try to redeploy after deleting the files under directory $MW_Home/user_projects/domains/<domain_name>/osb/config/sessions and restarting all the managed servers and admin server to see if it helps.

Anuj

    Thank you dvohra21,
I followed Gayaz solution and it worked on my jdev11.2.3
    1. Modified the TEMP and TMP env var from "%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp" to "c:\temp".
We should created the temp folder in c directry if it does not exist.
    2. Created two more env variables
    (a) JDEV_USER_HOME
    (b) JDEV_USER_DIR
and it is pointing to "C:\jdevhome".
We should created the jdevhome folder in c directry if it does not exist.
Finally what I observed is these four variable should point to a folder path where it should not contain spaces in the folders name.

  • Getting error in OSB :: FATAL Alert:BAD_CERTIFICATE - A corrupt or unuseable certificate was received..

    Hi There,
am getting error when invoking a webservice from OSB .
"The invocation resulted in an error: FATAL Alert:BAD_CERTIFICATE - A corrupt or unuseable certificate was received..".
certs were loaded to the trust store and could see certificates in Trust store.
surprisingly, same webservice works from SOA BPEL and even from soapUI.
I even made Host Name verification to NONE... none of those helped.
your suggestions are very much appreciated.

Putting the jar in the appserver's lib folder is one way to have the class found at runtime, but not all sites will allow you to do this because you just made it available to everything running on the appserver.  Plus, now as you move your dsc around from test to staging to production, you have to remember to move the jar as well.
The alternative is to include the jar in your DSC and reference it in the classpath node in the component.xml file.
Just checkout how the distributed DSCs do it (adobe-remoteevents-dsc shows 2 jars in the root of the package and both are referenced in the component.xml's classpath.

I would agree with others. Installing recent updates might solve the issue. Also, checking the errors in event viewer might help.
Have you tried to reboot the server? If no, you can start with that.
If none of the propositions helped, you can consider doing the following if you have at least one additional DC/DNS/GC server:
Run netdom query fsmo to identify the FSMO roles that the faulty DC is holding
Transfer FSMO roles that the faulty DC is holding to another healthy DC
Demote the faulty DC (If you are unable to do it, you can consider running
dcpromo /forceremoval and running a metadata cleanup)
Re-install the OS of the faulty DC and install the recent updates
Promote the re-installed server as a DC/DNS/GC server
Of course, you need to consider taking system state backups before proceeding.

    Hi..
    >
    # symptom: ORA-00381: cannot use both new and old parameters for buffer cache size specification
    # cause: Both db_block_buffers and db_cache_size parameters are defined in the init.ora (instance parameter file). The db_block_buffers parameter has been deprecated and has been maintained only for backward compatibility. The db_cache_size parameter is one of the size parameters which defines the size of the cache for buffers. These parameters cannot be combined. Setting this along with the Dynamic SGA parameters errors out.
    >
    For sga_target refer to [http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14237/initparams193.htm#REFRN10256]
    which quotes
    >
SGA_TARGET specifies the total size of all SGA components. If SGA_TARGET is specified, then the following memory pools are automatically sized:
    *Buffer cache (DB_CACHE_SIZE)
    * Shared pool (SHARED_POOL_SIZE)
    * Large pool (LARGE_POOL_SIZE)
    * Java pool (JAVA_POOL_SIZE)
    * Streams pool (STREAMS_POOL_SIZE)
If these automatically tuned memory pools are set to non-zero values, then those values are used as minimum levels by Automatic Shared Memory Management. You would set minimum values if an application component needs a minimum amount of memory to function properly.
    >
So, the what ever the value are set for the parameter will act as minimum value when sga_target is set.

  • Web-service publishing error in OSB

    Hi friends!
Recently I installed Oracle Service Bus, as I need to implement a simple SOA in my research work at the university. I tried to find a simple example to get familiar with OSB, and found one in Definitive Guide to SOA Oracle Service Bus, Second Edition book by Jeff Davies at al. After deploying a web-service in Oracle Workshop for Weblogic, I tried to open it in browser (http://localhost:7001/business/hello/HelloWorldService?WSDL), but I received:
    Error 404--Not Found
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
    *10.4.5 404 Not Found*
The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.
If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.
Anybody have an idea how to solve this, or where the problem is coming from? Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
I am facing the problem while opening the sbconsole. The following error is coming:-
    "*Error 404--Not Found*
*From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:*
    *10.4.5 404 Not Found*

My admin console is opening well. Can anybody help me out .

    Thanks,
    Rohit

you are calling wrong  the Service.
¿what kind of service do you have? RPC? Document?
ir your target service its document, I recommend this:
    1. Test target service with OSB
    2. copy XML request and XML response from the test.
    3. use XML request format that you got at Step 2 in your source service and using it at your "Service Callout".
