Getting exception while conerting bytearrayinputstream to objectinputstream
this is my code:
FrmwkNotificationMessage frmwkNotifMsg;
System.out.println("Entering Handler");
//Converting IMessage to EstNotificationMessage object
frmwkNotifMsg = (FrmwkNotificationMessage) msg;
ByteArrayInputStream bis = new ByteArrayInputStream(frmwkNotifMsg.getOriginalBytes());
System.out.println("bytes");
ObjectInputStream ois = new ObjectInputStream(bis);
Object obj = ois.readObject();
System.out.println("converted to object");
i am getting the sys.out "bytes" in my console but not "converted to object". instead it is throwing an exception. can anyone help?
What exception, and we have no idea what "FrmwkNotificationMessage", might be doing and how that may relate to the problem.

Getting exception while running es.getService("", "InfoStore" )
Not sure if this is the correct forum to place this question.
We are connecting to a BOE XI Rel 3.1 server that has Crystal Reports templates. We are trying to get the report number by performing the folowing query:
"Select SI_ID, SI_DESCRIPTION From CI_INFOOBJECTS Where SI_NAME ='"report_name"'"
We are getting an erro message while performing the following code:

We get the exception below about 10 to 15 times but then it is able to work and it gets the report id correctly.

Does this happen with all Users, even the Administrator account?

Do any one have clue why this will be happening. I urgently need the solution of it.

Getting exception while accessing External WebServices from Portal Componen
Hi,
We are using one external Temperature WebService and calling it from the proxy which is called by a Portal Component. My proxy name is TempService and portal component name is TempComponent.While calling the web service from portal component we are getting the exception. When I checked with log file, I got that invokeMethod() is failing and following exception is occuring :

Can some one help us to resolve it.
Thanks in advance,
ajayAs far as I know, webservices are working pretty well from SP2 Patch4. On patch3 hf2 I've had problems creating the proxy classes (especially for consuming .net webservices) and also gotten some runtime exception (cannot remember what they were).

Getting exception while trying to connect mysql database
hi
i am using mysql as database while connecting to database using jsp i am getting the following exception
"java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:com.mysql.jdbc.Dr iver"
can any one tell wha tis the actual problem
regardsIf you've tens of applications on the server which
makes use of the same driver/JAR, then you can put
this JAR in the classpath of the server to save
WAR/EAR space. And about differing versions: I am not
used to do so. Otherwise just put the different/older
version in the classpath of the webapp and then give
it higher priority in the classloader.If you are using Enterprise Applications, disk space for the code should be your last concern. If you don't have enough of that for each of the applications to have their own space for the third party jars that they use, then you need a new server, as the one you have is not going to be able to handle the load anyway.
And as far as fiddling around with the classpath to avoid jarfile "collision" or incapability, good luck. The first time you add a new application all the others will stop working and you will have to spend two days reordering the classpath properly, so that they all work again. I know, because I have seen it happen, even though I suggested to them to do it the other way, they insisted on doing things the way you suggested and, like I said, as soon as they added the next application, the server was down for two days, until they got all of the classpath/(classloader priority) issues straightened out. -

Thanks for your help regarding the distributed scheme. I have another question regarding indexes.
I was able to add indexes to a cache. This cache holds objects which contain all the rows in one of our database tables.
I run a sql query using hibernate on the database table, and then run the same query using filters on the cache. I am not noticing a significant performance gain. Is there something I'm doing wrong?
Here's what I'm trying to do:QueryMap cache = (QueryMap)this.getPrimaryDAO().getCache();
Filter filterStateEq = new EqualsFilter("getStateCode", state);
Filter filterCompanyEq = new EqualsFilter("getCompanyCode", company);
Filter filterCoverageEq = new EqualsFilter("getCovCode", coverage);
Filter filterEffDateLE = new DateLessEqualsFilter("getEffectiveDate", effectiveDate);
Filter filterExpDateGE = new DateGreaterEqualsFilter("getExpirationDate", effectiveDate);
Filter filterAnd = new AllFilter(new Filter[]
{filterStateEq, filterCompanyEq, filterLobEq, filterEffDateLE, filterExpDateGE});
Set filteredSet = cache.keySet(filter);Basically I'm trying to simulate a sql query:

Getting exception while creating new application in AppWizard
Hi.
I installed Hyperion Planning 9.3.1 and I have configured a remote Oracle database as host db. I had no problems in installation.
I could create users and assign them the responsibilities also. However when I started creating an application, I started getting this error (in my Planning Tomcat console) and the application hung forever:

can anyone please tell me what's wrong here.
Thanks
AstyHi,
It is the first time I have seen the error in this context but what planning is trying to do is clear out the system action table, there is a table called HSP_ACTION in your planning system schema.
The definition of the table should be :-
ID > Integer
FROM_ID > Integer
TO_ID > Integer
Action_ID > Integer
Object_Type > Integer
Primary_Key > Varchar
Action_Time > Date
I would check the table is set up correctly and remove any values from it, maybe there is a problem with the date field.
Cheers

What's the deal with 32 bit and chroot?
I've read all over the place about chroot and 32 bit libraries or something, and I'm wondering if that's something that would be helpful for 64 bit systems for 32 bit compatibility. I guess I just want to know what that is. Last edited by z.s.tar.gz
