How do I restore an in-app purchase from a backup?

I purchased and downloaded a number of issues of Popular Science magazine. These would have been backed up over the cloud.
I subsequently deleted some of these from my iPad to free up space.
Since then, the Popular Science app has been removed from the Australian App Store.
Am I able to restore individual in-app purchases from a backup? And, if so, how do I do this?
If not, what's the impact of restoring a full backup from, say, 12 months ago? Does this mean I've lost all app data in the period since? I'm thinking that this option would not be practical and am hoping that I can pick and choose from a backup a la Time Machine on OS X.

It works the same way as a credit card so on the back you have your security code. You type in the card number and then you give it your security code. You should be able to purchase what ever you need.

Developers control which versions of their app is in the store. If a developer releases a new version and pulls the old version then it will no longer be available in the store.
If you sync the device that has the older app in ITunes on your computer and choose to transfer purchases, you will then have your own saved copy of the app. Then, sync the other device and select to install that app from the list of locally saved purchases.

In-App purchases from App made with Flash?

Hey everyone!
So basicly I'm working on this game project and I've got a distributor in Germany who requests me to implement an in-App purchase within this game I've developed in Flash CS5.5.
In the developer section at apple's website I can't get information about how to do this with a flash developed app.
Does anyone have an idea? I would be deeply grateful.

Damn, that is horrible news. But I was kind of suspecting that it would not be possible to do this through flash.
I just need to make sure, are you 100% sure that it is not possible to do this with a flash developed app?
I'm not sure if this is a propriate thing to ask in this thread but does the same thing go for connecting to "Game Center" from a flash developed app? Is that impossible as well?

Apple did approve our in-app purchase without publishing the folio ahead of time.
I have a new question: Can I change the "Cleared for sale" attribute in the iTunes Connect interface from no to yes before a folio's scheduled publication date? Or should I wait until after the folio has been published?
I would think you could set the "Cleared for sale" attribute to yes before the publication date and it would not cause any problems since the folio is not available to purchase until it's published.

No, apps (plus other content bought from Apple such as music and films) are tied to the account that bought / downloaded them and they can't be copied or transferred to a different account.
