Getting hold of filtered POWL data

We have a POWL in which the standard 'filter' is frequently used. When an action is performed after a filter has been applied, I need to be able to get hold of the filtered data and perform a task. I've debugged the POWL feeder class but cannot find a way of getting to this data. In particular, in the HANDLE_ACTION method, I can see the original set of data but not the filtered data. Can anyone help please ?

From the excel file below I have Power (from Hg Lamp) vs date.
I would like to filtered the data to have only one data per day. So when there are many data for one day, I want the data with Max Power (and delete the others).
In the test vi below I filtered data by compared the data 1 by 1. So I reduced the number of data but I still have date with many data.
I would like to count the number of data per days and keep the data with max power, but I don't know how to do it.

How to efficiently get hold of N randomly selected keys out of X?

I am writing some benchmark programs for Coherence caches and would need a way to as efficently as possible get hold of a "fairly random" selection of N keys from the cache out of the total X keys (where X >> N).
With "fairly random" I am in particular looking for a way to get keys somewhat uniformly spread over all partitions.
First i tried picking the first N keys obtained when iterating the key-set but they all seemed to come from just a few partitions (perhaps iteration is performed partition by partition?). Next I tried some algortihms I have used in the past to pick random keys from in memory-map (where one basically iterate and if a randomly generated value between 0.0 and 1.0 exceed a percentage calculatwed as the factor N/X the key is included. This does work (one may occasionally need to iterate the map more than once) but is VERY slow since iterating the key-set of a large cache remotly is kind of expensive.
All sugestions are warmly appreciated - the best would be solutions that do not require anything to be added to the pof-config (i.e. not rely on custome aggregators or invocables etc) - this because I would liek to be able to easilly use my benchmark as part of several applications without having to modify there configuration files!

you can go the other way round:
With key-association you can ensure that your request goes to the partition you want it to go. You just need to generate a reverse mapping array between partition ids and integer associated key values which are mapped to that partititon.
You can use this method for it:

}After this, you generate an equal amount of entries for each partitions with composite keys which implement key association in a way that it returns an integer which maps to your designated partition id to serve as your data. Alternatively you can sort an existing key-set into per-partition keysets.
After this, you just generate evenly spread random numbers between 0 and (partitionCount - 1) (both inclusive) which random number you use as an index to the reverse map to get an associated key value. Then you can generate another random number if you have multiple keys within a partition, or choose a key from the per-partition keyset for that partition if you have a set of existing keys.
This way you get keys which are as evenly spread between partitions as your random generator generating your associated key indexes is spread.

Can I get hold of the setup file for an earlier version of Desktop Manager

Hello,
I've been using my Blackberry Bold 9700 trouble free for well over 18 months now. The other day I was prompted to upgrade the OS to level 6, which I did with no problem. I then noticed that there was also an upgrade for the Desktop Manager software. I also upgraded this (to version 6). I'm now really wishing I hadn't....
Ever since the upgrade I get the BSOD upon initially connecting my BB. I uninstalled the desktop manager and did a complete reinstall. This, if anything made matters worse as I then found that any USB device would cause the BSOD once I plugged it in.
The only way I've been able to solve this is by totally uninstalling the Desktop Manager and then also going and uninstalling and then reinstalling all the USB controllers from the Windows device manager.
All I really need the desktop manager for is to tether my BB to get internet acces when I'm off site, and I'd really like to go back to the earlier version but cannot find anywhere to download the setup file.
I'm running XP Pro by the way. It's obviously an incompatibility with something on specifically on my laptop which is causing the problem. I tried installing Desktop Manager 6 onto another laptop running XP Pro and it seems to be fine on there. I've not really got the time to mess around with this much more though so would prefer just to downgrade back to the previous version on this laptop if someone could point me in the right direction to get hold of the setup file.

Unable to retrieve records when filtering by date

I am having difficulties getting this query to run when filtering by date. The code works fine if I remove the Date filter, and I have tested the query using SQL Developer and it works fine there so I am not sure what I am doing wrong:

I can't think of any reason that you'd get different results with a hard coded literal query. I assume that rdr.HasRows=false?
My only guess would be that maybe you're connected to a different database, or as a different user, you inserted the data via sql develper but have not yet committed it, or something along those lines.
Were you to log a SR with Oracle Support, we'd probably ask for a level 16 sqlnet trace of they query executed via the .net app and sql developer so we can compare them to make sure all else is indeed equal.

Amy, is there a chance they could both be Syncing to another device that has the data erased?
What are the sizes & modification dates on the files you found?
Could be many things, we should start with this to be safe, though 2 different ones would seem unlikely to be this problem...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at the top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.

BBM Upgrade in error - Needing to get hold of Old version of BBM

Hi I have a BlackBerry Curve 8520 and Vodacom Carrier in South Africa. I stupidly upgraded my BBM instant messaging this morning and it so much worse, so slow and it wasn't even working properly. I enjoyed the older version and DESPERATELY trying to get hold of the older version to re-install in. Please if anyone can tell me how I can re-install the older version of BBM 5.0.0 I would be so grateful.
I have checked the Desktop software disc I received with my BB and it doesn't seem to have any Operating software on it.
Please help me out here..am desperate.

I think you can try two things : the soft reboot, and if it does not work, the hard reboot. Don't worry, you can't lose data with these two reboots.
Soft reboot :
1) Hit the three following keys at the same time :
- Alt
- Right Shift
- Delete
2) wait 2 minutes for the Blackberry to wake up.
Hard reboot :
1) your Blackberry device is on
2) remove the battery and wait for a minute
3) Put the battery back
4) wait 5 minutes for the device to wake up.

Getting hold of hidden folder on defective drive

I'm in a quite desparate situation – my MacBook Pro 15" had crash with InDesign with a subsequent bad restart, and ended up not beeing able to complete a reboot at all. It goes through the restart process until a pale white progress bar goes 8% of the way, then everything shuts down.
I can't reinstall the system, and disk utility can't help me at all. So I'm apparently stuck with the sole option to retrieve data via a firewire transport setup.
Now my problem is, that one of the really important folders that I need to retrieve, is that of my email-app Postbox. It is supposed to reside in the library/application support folder, but I can't see it. I have tried to copy the entire application support folder, but I get an error message saying that I do not have sufficient access privileges to perform the task.
The disk appears to be difficult to modify (fix privileges and so on).
Does anyone have an idea for a solution? I'd really like to get hold of my Postbox email folder !

just use an app that will make all invisible files visible and locate and copy that folder. Once done you can make the files invisible again. Be sure not to move or delete any files other than the folder you're interested in.

device gets turned off when using data on mobile... and not responding,i.e., if we hold the power button also there was no response,not getting on... when I connect it to charger,after 10min it gets automatically turning on.otherwise no chance to use the device..sometimes it gets off at 25%, sometimes at even 72% battery...seems it might be a severe problem..please suggest a solution..

How do I get rid of the "other" data on my iPhone 4?

The "other" data on my iPhone 4 is currently taking up 4.5 gb of my 6.4 gb phone. As you can see I'm not very happy about this. I am basically limited too about ten apps and I cannot download iOS 7 due to my lack of storage. I was wondering if there were any ways to get rid if the "other" data without resetting my iPhone. I cannot reset my iPhone because my family has a shared data plan and a limited amount of storage to back up to on iCloud. We don't have enough storage on iCloud to backup the 5.8 gb I'm using because of the other data. Any help?

Printing to a Windows shared printer, keep getting "Hold for Authentication" when I'm on the Windows shared network and can browse the computers.

I have had two MacBook Pros now, and this has been an issue in Mountain Lion and Mavericks. I've got a shared printer on the local Windows network (it's a USB printer shared via the network and the computer), and the other Windows computers in the house can print to it no problem. The Mac sees it no problem, yet whenever I try to print to it, I just get "Hold for Authentication."
Like I said, persists over Mountain Lion and Mavericks. No other computer in the house has any issues printing to it. I've installed the drivers for the printer as well (Brother HL-2240).
I've tried to follow the instructions here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/23268762#23268762 but the printer isn't listed in Keychain Access.
Any thoughts?

Well, that isn't too useful. Try this instead: Adding a printer shared by a Windows computer via SMB/CIFS.

HT201413 suddenly itunes will not open and I get a message that the "Data Execution Prevention" is blocking itunes from opening....why????

itunes will not open and I get a message that the "Data Execution Prevention (DEP)" feature in Windows is preventing it from opening. (this is after I've been using itunes for years???? If I try to manually deselect itunes from the DEP filter, of course I get a message that itunes cannot operate without the DEP active...another Catch 22 from the evil program designers....

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

How can I get missing contacts, notes, calendar dates and reminders that are just on my old iphone onto the iCloud for transfer to my new iPhone upgrade? Half of my contacts, notes, ect. were on my iCloud so have happily moved to my new iPhone but the rest are completely resistant. For example, on my iCloud I have 14 missing contacts starting with the letter A alone, however they are happily viewable on my old iPhone 4S and won't budge over into the iCloud.
There are also 3 notes missing yet still acessible on my onld iPhone 4S, the list goes on.
Your help would be most appreciated. Thank you so much.
