Getting Message: "Do you trust this content to connect to the internet? Yes or No" . How do I get rid of this?
I have created a set of lessons in Captivate 5. Since the Adobe update of Flash Player to version 15 whenever we launch a new activity from the menu we are prompted by a popup which asks: 'Do you trust this content to connect to the internet? Yes or No'. None of the content requires an internet connection. Are others having this issue? How can we get rid of it?
Thanks
Most likely, you have a web plugin that depends on the Java runtime distributed by Apple, such as the Facebook video calling plugin or the "NexDef" plugin for watching baseball streams. If you no longer need the plugin, remove it. Otherwise, install Java.

Please help.
I have a tutorial with in the output format of SWF and HTM. I have click boxes that On Success will open another tutorial (SWF file). When I click on the click box, I get prompted “Do you trust this content to connect to the Internet?” by the Adobe Flash Player. I can click “Yes” and continue, however I don’t want the user to get prompted for every click box with this action (there is one for every tutorial and navigation buttons to each tutorial). I also think that SCORM can't handle the prompt, because when I run the tutorial from the LMS the click boxes do not work at all.
I have tried selecting “Always allow” in the Global Security Settings panel as per the instruction on this website: http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager04.htm l.
Any ideas?Hi,
I wanted to add on a question to this posting.... I believe Rod's instructions must be followed on a per-PC basis, correct? Is there any way to disable this globally when/after I publish the files rather than telling 1000 users across the globe that they have to change their security settings? I don't think so from the article (very thorough) but just hoping there's something I can do?!
Thank you!

Can you prevent Apple TV from connecting to the internet?
Is there a way to prevent Apple TV from updating and connecting to the internet? My internet is metered and slow, and I just use the AtV to mirror my itunes and stream content from my computer. I do not need the AtV connecting to the internet to load previews, pictures of newest tv shows or even genius recommendations.
The main problem is that for protected content in iTunes AppleTV sometimes needs to get a playback authorisation across the internet.
I've never quite figured what triggers this but it's often when content is new and hasn't been played on the computer before.
I took AppleTV, iPad and MacMini on holiday where I had no internet access and created a LAN without internet.
It was impossible to Airplay protected content from the iPad but 90% of the protected content in itunes on teh Mac Mini would stream and play - some new kids shows I purchased and had not played before would not stream.
Don't suppose you can connect the computer direct to AppleTV via ethernet and see if that lets you stream and play without internet connectivity?
Alternatively can you seletively turn off your router at times to avoid AppleTv connecting - that usually makes it only display Computers (iTunes streaming locally) and Settings as teh other icons are generated dynamically depending on availability tested via Apple's servers.

Hi. I installed Firefox yesterday as part of a work requirement. Since then, my Next G internet device will not work. How do I change the settings on Firefox without being connected to the internet? I have had to uninstall Firefox so I can use the internet.
Please help as I need both simultaneously. Thank you.Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

We deployed Acrobat XI Standard on a closed domain (not connnected to the internet) and make it available to our customers as an App-V. When our customers run it, they are gettiing "Activation Required, Please connect ot the internet." Another thing they are getting is "Please connect to the Internet and retry". Is there a setting we can make to preclude this from happening?
Acrobat is not supported.

my Ipad will not connect with Itunes prompt states this Ipad cannot connect because the Apple mobile device service has not started "??s "
Try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc. -
My ipod touch shows that I am connected to the internet but when I attempt to visit a webpage it says I am not connected to the internet. I have reset my settings & wifi . And that has not helped the problem! PLEASE HELP ME!
Your Wi-Fi seems to connect as a local network but not to the Internet.
Since you can connect to the Internet using your neighbour's Wi-Fi, the problem is definitely your home router.

By mistake I eliminated the internet address bar. How do I get it back?
By mistake I eliminated the tool bars on firefox.
I don't have an internet tool bar.
How do I get it back?Firefox 3.6+ versions have a feature to allow the user to hide the Menu bar.
Hit the '''Alt''' key to temporarily show the Menu bar, then open View > Toolbars and select Menu bar, so it has a check-mark. <br />
The F10 can also be used on most PC's to temporarily reveal the Menu bar.

Hi Folks,
When I attach a jpg or pdf to a mail it shows as the whole document "pasted" into the mail. Anyone know how I get the file to just show as an icon and not as a mass of pasted in docs?
Thanks,
PedroFor your own viewing, you can of course control-click on the attachment and select "View as Icon".
For others' viewing, it depends upon their email reader. To ensure that attachments are not displayed expicitly you can put them all in a zip file (via control click and "Compress") then attaching them, or you can use third party stuff like Attachment Tamer.

I cannot cut past the error because it "blanks out" the edit menu can't use to use. Get a blank page have to refresh amost every time
It sounds like there are a couple things going on here. First check if you have a successful install of SQL Server, then we'll figure out the connection issues.
Can you launch SQL Server Configuration Manager and check for SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER) if default instance or SQL Server (other name) if you've configured your instance as a named instance. Once you find this, make sure the service is started.
If not started, try to start it and see if it throws an error. If you get an error, post the error message your hitting. If the service starts, you can then launch SSMS and try to connect. If you have a default instance, you can use the machine
name in the connection dialog. Ex: "COWBOYS" where Cowboys is the machine name. However, if you named the SQL Server instance during install, you'll need to connect using the machine\instance format. Ex: COWBOYS\Romo (where Romo
is the instance name you set during install).
You can also look at the summary.txt file in the SQL Server setup error logs to see what happened on the most recent install. Past install history is archived in the log folder if you need to dig those up to help troubleshoot, but the most
recent one may help get to the bottom of it if there is an issue with setup detecting a prior instance that needs to be repaired.

I went on vacation, when I came back the following websites were blocked. Facebook, Cracked & TMZ. I cannot access them from this computer either with Fixfox or IE. They can be accessed by other computers at this work. Is there a way to unblock them?
With Facebook, I get the message saying I'm not signed onto the internet. With the other 2, I get redirected to Yahoo.com.
Anybody have any ideas?
ThanksDo a malware check with some malware scanning programs.<br />
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.<br />
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.<br />

Apple TV wont play content unless connected to the Internet
I have added a few movies of my own, when I loose my Internet connection then, none of my content Purchased from Itunes or imported myself will not play on my ATV?
The reason to own this is so when your Internet is down, you can still be entertained. Apple really needs to open this up, so that once Home Sharing is turned on, it allows you to share with any device on your network, even when you have no Internet Connection. It should not render my media none usable when I have fully paid for and should be able to use at any point.I do not mean to trivialize your problem of not being able to stream "home movies" to your Apple TV without having an internet connection. I know this is frustrating for you, as it would be for me as well. However I would have to concur with vazandrew in that, an internet connection is not needed to stream "home movies" to your Apple TV.
I ran a very simple test. I unplugged the Ethernet cable connecting my modem to my AirPort Extreme. As soon as I disconnected the cable my AirPort Extreme status light started flashing "orange". I then accessed the "computers" app on my Apple TV (which by the way is connected via wifi to the AirPort Extreme). It then loaded "my library" and I loaded a video from the "home videos" category in "my library". It played without a problem. Granted it did take a good minute or more before it actually started to play compared to it being instantaneous when I actually have an internet connection.
I then tried another experiment while still offline. I loaded an actual movie I purchased from iTunes, which is also in the "computers" app, then under "my library" and then "movies". This also played without a problem, but again it did take a good minute or two for the movie to load and start playing. Coincidently, I went to the iTunes "movies" app (again, I am still off line) and I could not connect to iTunes and got an error message to try again.
Since my "home videos" as well as my "purchased iTunes" content are all stored on my mac hard drive, I would have to agree that content can be streamed to the Apple TV while "offline". I would assume, that if I continued to watch multiple "purchased" content while offline I would eventually be prompted to "re-connect" my internet to authenticate my "purchases".
On a side note, at one point I actually stored all my purchased music and movies on a NAS drive connected to my AirPort Extreme and I ran into the same problem you are currently having where I couldn't stream anything unless I had an internet connection. About a year ago I moved all my purchased content from the NAS drive to an external USB hard drive and I haven't had any streaming problems, even while offline.
I don't know if this will help you resolve your problem. But, if this can be of any use I would at least hope it gives you the determination to continue to look for a solution because for all intents and purposes it should work for you. -
When my brand new MacBookPro awakes from sleep it has lost its internet connection. It goes to Network Diagnostics and I need to step through all the pages to get to the end where it says connection is o.k. Is this a bug in Lion or could it be a corrupt file migrated over from my old MacBook Pro which would frequently lose its Airport connection and couldn't be reconnected until it cooled down. (This one always shows full bars on the Airport indicator).
That's definitely just paranoia. First, because in sleep mode, there's no internet connection. The computer might as well be turned off as far as the network is concerned, and there's no activity in the computer other than a bare trickle of electricity to maintain the RAM. The processor is doing nothing.
Second, Macs are quite difficult to hack, and if you're on a wireless network, the wireless router protects you from incoming attacks from the outside world.
Of course, you should be able to leave Safari open with no open windows and not affect your ability to get online when it wakes up. If you can reproduce that reliably, and if I can as well (haven't had a chance to try it yet), then it should be reported to Apple.
