Getting New iPod. How to put already bought games on it.

I am returning my 120gb iPod classic to wal-mart. I just bought it yesterday so it doesent really matter. I plan to trade it in for another ipod classic as the click wheel stops responding for about 30 seconds once in a while and i know ti is not frozen because the menu button works during this time.I am not looking for a soulution to this as i am going to return it. However i Have bought a couple games for my iPod. How would i get these onto my new iPod? What else should i do before returning my iPod?

Connect the new iPod with your computer and go through the iPod Setup Assistant. Nothing else needs to be done.

  • My last computer crashed and it had all my songs and i got a new ipod how do i get those songs back

ok so my last computer crashed and it had all my songs and that day i got a new ipod how do i get those songs back thast i paid for?

If the songs are not on an iPod or a computer (didn't you have a backup of your computer files?) you are probably out of luck since you only get one download of music from the iTunes store and it is up to you to back them up.  However, the Itunes store may allow a redownload if you explain what happened.  Go to the following and select the appropriate topic to contact them.

  • I am getting new ipod touch i backed up old one in itunes i do i put content in new one

i am getting new ipod touch i backed up old one in itunes how do i get contents in new one

Restore the new iPod from the backup of the old iPod.
    iOS: How to back up
The backup does not included synced media like apps and music. Those have to be in the iTunes library . Also, you will have to renter keychain items like passwords since they only get restored to the identical device unless you use an encrypted backup

  • Buying a new iPod,,how can I transfer all my songs over?

My 30gb iPod which I've had since May of 2006 sad to say may be on it's last legs. It did not make it through my morning workout today, crapped out at the 15 minute mark. I think it was fully charged, the battery indicator showed a full charge when I started my workout, but it died right around the 15 minute mark of my workout.
So if I buy a new iPod, how do I get all my songs on it. I have over 5000 songs on iTunes (they're all backed up on my external hard drive too) and I just need to know what I would have to do to use a new iPod and upload my entire iTunes library.

    Hello blackhawks2488,
    And welcome to Apple Discussions!
If all your music is located in your iTunes library, all you have to do is simply plug the iPod in, register it, set it up sync however you wish, actually sync it and be on your way.
There is no limit to the number of devices you can have synced with one iTunes library or account.

i recently bought a new iphone 5s from UAE , but unfortunately i did not find the facetime on my new iphone, how come that i bought a new iphone with missing options , please help

Your earlier phone must have been originally intended for sale in another country and must have been purchased from somewhere other than an authorized Apple retailer. Phones that are intended to be sold in the UAE have FaceTime permanently disabled. The option is not there and cannot be made to work.

*not all my songs are from itunes store or off cds =S*

    *thankyou =)*

You can't copy directly from one iPod to another. If the songs aren't in iTunes you need to copy them back from your old iPod and update the new one from there.
The transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod to a computer
The transfer of content from other sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. You can read reviews of some of them here: Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes

    iDump Windows Only
    iRepo Mac and Windows
    iPodRip Mac & Windows
    YamiPod Mac and Windows
    Music Rescue Mac & Windows
    iPodCopy Mac and Windows
There is also a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows or a Mac. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available at this link: Two-way Street: Moving Music Off the iPod

  • How do I get new iPod to sync purchased content on existing library?

I recently bought a new iPod to replace an old one that was dying. I want to sync my existing library including my purchased content onto the new iPod and won't be using my old one anymore. Is there a way to do this? I got a message telling me some songs couldn't be sync'd because they were not authorized?

You should be able to dock the new iPod to iTunes & iTunes should do the rest. Since you are getting a "not authorized" message, have you simply tried to reauthorize any of the problem songs? iTunes seems to sporadically loose authorizations on random purchases for folks with no real explanation. Reauthorization should straighten things out. I know for me, I lost authorization on about 100 purchases on an iTunes upgrade & all I did was reauthorize one of the problem songs & the problem was resolved. Hope this helps.

  • HT1766 if  i get a new ipod can i put my same apps on it and does it keep data on the apps

if i get a new ipod can i restore my apps if i hve backed them up on itunes and does itunes keep the data for my apps

App data is NOT stored with the apps in your iTunes library. Some apps store data is stored i servers and thus will appears when yo log into that app. Otherwise, yo will have to restore from backup to get the app data back to the time that the backup was made.

  • How to access already bought music from a new computer.

My work computer got attacked by a virus and I lost almost all my data. Now I have my new computer and I am trying to find out if there is a way to find all the music that I already bought from itunes and download it to my new library. I will appreciate any help. Thanks
      Windows XP

If you have no back up of your purchases you can't simply download replacements. The policy on lost purchases is that you have to pay to download them again:
"Once a Product is purchased and you receive the Product, it is your responsibility not to lose, destroy, or damage the Product, and Apple shall be without liability to you in the event of any loss, destruction, or damage."
You could try contacting the iTunes Music Store Customer Service and you might be able to persuade them to sanction a second free download. There have been occasional reports in the iTunes forum of this happening, however just be aware that they are not under any obligation to do so. If you click on any of the links on this page you'll find a space at the bottom to email your query: iTMS Customer Service

  • Buying a New iPod - How Do I Port My Library To It?

I am considering purchasing a new iPod. I currently have a 15 GB model I purchased about 2 years ago, and I'd most likely purchase either 30GB or 60GB video model as a replacement, handing down the current one I have.
My question is this: what is the easiest way to setup iTunes on my PC to sync up the new iPod exactly the same way my current one is synced (complete with all of the music files and playlists)? Note a couple of things...1)I have several tracks I've purchased from the iTunes store. 2)I bought a new PC recently, and as such there are a bunch of playlists not set up in iTunes on the new PC that are setup on the old iPod (from when I synced it with the prior PC). I'd like to avoid having to setup the playlists again on my current PC manually to get them on the new iPod if possible.
As a sidenote, how do I format my old iPod so the person I'm giving it to can start from scratch?

Here's how you can get the songs off the iPod.
    Connect it to the computer
    Go to 'My Computer'
Open the iPod as a removable disk
Once in the iPod, go to(on the top menu) Tools/Folder Options/View/Files and Folders/Hidden Files and Folders/Show Hidden Files and Folders.
You should now see iPod Control
Open it, then go to Music.
There will be hella folders called F'xx'
Drag them to a folder on your hard drive.
Open iTunes, select 'Add Folder to Library...'
Go to Advanced, then consolidate library.
As for formatting the HD, go to iPod Updater and hit restore.

  • Help getting new Ipod to work on OS 10.3.9

Just bought a new Ipod Nano with 7+ Gb. My computer only has OS X 10.3.9 and Itunes needs version 8.0 which will not work on my computer. I can't upgrade my computer. Is there some kind of plug in or something I can get to help me out?

I just saw a thread where a person had the exact same problem. Apparently, there is no way to upgrade your system without paying because your software is outdated by 3 years. There aren't any plug-ins either, at least not yet. You should go to the Apple Store and ask them though, because they will have info on if a plug-in will be released or not.
