Getting program name by process id

Hi,
I need to get the name of the program running a session using as parameter the process id, what views do I have to join to get this information.
I've tried to use
SELECT * FROM V$SESSION WHERE PROCESS = '10574'
but it doesn't work.

How to get file names of processes

i am writing an application engine for monitoring ps jobs and processes i want to send an email to support group with log file if any process runs to error. Can anybody tell me how to get the log/trace files generated for each process. i tried many ways but did not get any clue would greatly appreciate for giving me information.

Yes man it is possible, follow these steps if you want to automate process monitoring:
1. Create a view for retrieving all the processes which are errored in a specific time for example 180 minutes. You can use all the following record for various information about a process or job
PSPRCSRQST,PSOPRDEFN, PS_PRCSDEFN, PSPRCSPRFL, XLATTABLE_VW
2. Create a table to store the process instance which was last monitored
3. In application engine access the view which you have created in step 1, this view will give you all the processes which got errored out.
4. In application engine use SendMail function to send an email with the process instance details which are errored out.
5. After reading last row from the view update the table which you created in step 2 with the process instance you have read in last.
This design should be able to send an email to support group if the process is errored out.

U can get program name of nay transaction code by following this procedure
after entering tcode it will direct u to the related screen then on the tool bar select system then go for status there u can find program name

How to get Application name of a current running process in LiveCycle??

Hi,
I want to get the Application name of current running process in LiveCycle as a output value.
I have 3 applictions, the 3 applications are calling same SubProcess, so I want get the name of the application from which the sub process has been called.
I want to retrieve the Application name and asssign this value to a output variable.
I have searched for the solution I found a method getApplicationName() but inorder to get the current running process's Application Name this might not be useful..
So suggest the way to resolve this..

Use an input/output string variable in the subprocess and set its value in each calling process as respective Application name.

Get Attachment Name and from address of mail in bpel process

Hi All,
I am using UMS Adapter to poll email server and getting the attachment and saving it to local disk.
In Payload from UMS adapter i am getting href of the attachment but I am not able to figure out as to how to get Attachment Name and From Address of a mail in my Bpel process.
please guide me in getting them .

1. Double click on your composite receive activity.
2. Go to Properties tab in your receive activity.
3. Click "+".
4. Window that pops up,scroll down and select "jca.ums.from" and store it in some variable say fromAddress (Make sure before adding this property u create fromAddress variable of string data type).
5. Click OK.
6. In the same way add property for "jca.ums.msg.content-description" from drop down and assing it to some variable.
you are good to go.

Getting the name of the program or the FM called from security audit log

Dears,
Is there a way to get the name of the ABAP program called through transaction SE38, or the FM called through transaction SE37, from the security audit log ?
What is available is only : RSABAPPROGRAM for transaction SE38, and RSFUNCTIONBUILDER for transaction SE37

I had always assumed this log to be in the SUBMIT statement, but never used it.
If I remember correctly this is recorded it the runtime submit, so it should be there.
Perhaps it is only in selected reports? I will check in my system.
Please compare with sm20n and run the report from sa38. The submits are different in sa38 etc compared to se38.
The FM will only be recorded it it has a destination extention in the source system which is mostly remote. Local fm calls are not recorded for sure.

Please help. When exporting a 720p video using Quicktime Conversion in FCP it saves some extra temporary files to my computer. The file is called ICMMultiPassStorage. This file gets so large that eventually the program and exporting process crashes.

But when I try exporting the movie again it creates the ICMMultiPassStorage file again. I have made sure my scratch disks are set to my external hard drive so I know that isn't the issue. How do I fix this problem so these temporary files are not being stored on my internal hard drive instead of my external?Thanks!

Try exporting the timeline "using current settings" via Make QuickTime Movie, then submit that clip to Compressor for the transcode. This should be faster and less painful.

STAD - get the 'transaction code' and 'program name'

Hi, I was wondering if someone knows about a bapi with which I can get only the "transaction code" and "program name".
I need to get those for a specified user, but I don't want to set on a trace, that's why I'd like to use the transaction STAD.

Getting sequence filename and sequence name in process model error handler

We are using the sequential process model and would like to log sequence step error information to a file. We have an Error Handler callback in SequentialModel.seq and that is where we will write to the error file. In the Error Handler callback, I can get the error container info for the step where the error occurs and the name of the that step thru the Error Handler Step parameter. I would also like to record the sequence file and the sequence where the error occurred, but I have not been able to find those in the sequence context. I know they are available because the TestStand RunTime Error dialog box displays them. How can I access the name of the sequence file and the name of the sequence where the error occurred?

Hey hans,
Use the API. Since you already have the Step object reference coming in as a parameter you can just use a few ActiveX steps to get the Sequence File and Sequence from which the error was thrown.
Step.Sequence
Sequence.Name (gets the name of the sequence)
Sequence.SequenceFile
SequenceFile.Path (gets the path of the sequence file)
So basically just 4 activex steps. I hope this helps.

Hi,
Just goto transaction SE80 and enter the program name, in that you will be able to see the transactions. Also you can see the transactions in table TSTC by passing the program name.

BW: Not getting Dump For Program error in Process Chain

I have one issue regarding Master data loading issue in BW(3.5).
My business flow like we have received data from server A and Server A extract data from Server B and
Server B which is extract data from source(R/3).
Flow like this R/3-->Server B-->Server A(ETL) -
> My Server.
We have a mater data process chain and that chain we have have the source system Server A but in the process chain one process is there which is fethces data like global transport e.g UOM,factory calender etc through Custom program directly from Server B.
Oneday what happened On that process the process chain Yellow since more than 16 hrs.Once nextday process chain trigger the process chain runs sucessfuly.
But lastdays process chain paticular process stills remains yellow?
We are not getting any dumps and even if from Server A there is no logs then anyone could please tell me what is reason and how to solve it.
Note: it will be helpful for me if any one know how to check dump for program errors in Process chain as narated issue.

The question is, why the program RSBATCH_EXECUTE_PROZESS is not scheduled. Is it because there is no free resource? Or poor response from SAP ECC?
Finally what does "EXTRACTION OF DATAPACKAGE 000001" mean? Its not scheduled?

Getting msg 'Program names L... are reserved for function group includes'

Hi all,
When I try to create a SAP standard Include which start with L, I get the message which says <b>''Program names L... are reserved for function group includes".</b>
I have already created two standard SAP FMs.
Please let me know how should I go ahead and create the Include.

Hi,
When you create the Function group, then if you look at the Fucntion group in SE80, then tehre inlcudes will be created, for FORMS if it will create the includes, and for TOP it will create the include, for L also it will create the Incldue(L referefs coding of subroutines).
So, goto SE80 and activate the Include directly, then you can write the code in that include
