Getting star(*) as the value of the column

Dear All,
i have created a report on the cube which will display the country wise Expected sales Volume and Weighted sales volume.
for all country i am getting the correct value but for the country which are NOT ASSIGNED i am getting Star(*) as the value.
My cube has proper data loaded.
HELP ME ON THIS.

What I meant is in Excel.
Wherever you see * place the mouse pointer there.
In the top where you can usually see values in excel.You will be able to see values.
or
Right click on the cell -
> Format Cells and choose number
You will be able to see
or
Use Nodim() in formula you will be able to see.
The issue is :
Country    field   unit
A             20     KG
B             30      LB
Now if both A and B country are under hieararchy node NODE1 say
Then on aggregation it  will be
NODE1   (20 KG + 30 LB) displayed as *.
When you place your mouse on this cell you will see 50.
Hope this helps.

    From two given tables, how do you fetch the values from two columns using values from one column(get values from col.A if col.A is not null and get values from col.B if col.A is null)?

    Hi,
    Use NVL or COALESCE:
    NVL (col_a, col_b)
    Returns col_a if col_a is not NULL; otherwise, it returns col_b.
    Col_a and col_b must have similar (if not identical) datatypes; for example, if col_a is a DATE, then col_b can be another DATE or it can be a TIMESTAMP, but it can't be a VARCHAR2.
    For more about NVL and COALESCE, see the SQL Language manual: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e26088/functions119.htm#sthref1310
    I hope this answers your question.
    If not, post a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements, relevant columns only) for all tables involved, and also post the results you want from that data.
    Explain, using specific examples, how you get those results from that data.
    Always say which version of Oracle you're using (e.g., 11.2.0.2.0).

  • How to get all the values in one column of a JTable

    How to get all the values in one column of a JTable as a Collection of String.
    I don;t want to write a for loop to say getValueAt(row, 1) eg for 2nd column.

    I don;t want to write a for loop to say getValueAt(row, 1) eg for 2nd column. You could always write a custom TableModel that stores the data in the format you want it. It would probably be about 50 lines of code. Or you could write a loop in 3 lines of code. I'll let you decide which approach you want to take.

    How can I get the value of "Warehouse" column in the form below (I mean what table that contain this value):

    Well, for more clearly! My problem is I must have the Unit Cost of Items, so I've got it in the cm_cmpt_dtl (table), but if I want to, I must create a relation that require 2 filed, they're Item_ID and Whse_Code.
    There's no problem with Item_ID, but Whse_Code seem to be the Mission Impossible (hix, I hate that film!!!!)
    I wonder if It was right to post this topic here. But anyway I just post my question here, hope I could get some help.

    wow, many, many, many.... and many thanks!
    Just add a tiny modify to check out the Batch_type
    doc_id = (select batch_id from gme_batch_header where batch_no='&batch_number' and batch_type = 0)
    Because the batch_no can be duplicated as we also create Batch and Filrm Planned Order.
    Many thanks for your support!

  • Get Row reference in advanced table to set the value of custom column

    Hi,
    I have a requirement to add a new column PHP Amount in Manage Charge page which is a entry page where all the charges are entered for a PO. This region is based on Advanced table.
    As per requirement, Newly created column should populate the value of the existing column (Amount) or vice verse i.e. value entered in amount column should be set to PHP Amount column for a particular row. and the value entered in PHP amount should be stored in the custom table.
    I have added the column via personalization and setting the view attribute in extended controller as this column is not the part of the database table on which the VO is based upon. Also added a  PPR event in process request function in controller. And getting the reference of the row in processForm Request's PPR event and invoking the method defined in my custom AM for getting and setting the columns values . Here i can't extend the root AM as the Page have LOV columns so i have created my custom AM and adding it dynamically in controller.
    Here is the complete code

    I don't know what i m missing ..Can anyone help me here..

    but using second way you will not be able to save those record in database, to save in database you have to override setter method also
    Code will be like this -
        public String getBillRemarks() {
           return getSuppNmTrans(); // This is first Column Value
           // return (String) getAttributeInternal(BILLREMARKS);    }
        public void setBillRemarks(String value) {
           //Setting First Column Value in Second
           setAttributeInternal(BILLREMARKS, getSuppNmTrans());
    But i suggest you to use valueChangeListener on first field to set value in second one

  • Update one column while getting the value in another column

    Is it possible to in one single SQL statement update two columns in a table while at the same time obtaining the value of another column, on the same row, in the same table, and independently (that is, the update of the columns has nothing to do with the data that I want from another column)*?* Of course, I can do this in two operations, one being a "select" and the other one being an "update", but since I am in the same table and even on the same row, is it really necessary to make TWO database calls? That's why I want to combine the the two SQL-statements, for reasons of presumed effiency.

    At least not in terms of SQL.
    JDBC requires a 'statement' but in SQL (depending on the data source) that can include multiple statements. An obvious example of this is a stored proc but there are other ways as well.

  • How to get all the values of the SDO_ORDINATE_ARRAY of a Oriented Point

    Hi,
    I'm trying to get the values of a Geometry wich is an Oriented Point. To that, i'm using SDO_UTIL.GETVERTICES, but this utility only obtains the point X,Y, it doesn't obtain the values of the orientation vector.
    The Geometry is this:
    MDSYS.SDO_GEOMETRY(
         2001,8307,NULL,
         MDSYS.SDO_ELEM_INFO_ARRAY(1,1,1,3,1,0),

    The query is this:
    SELECT c.ipid, c.nombre, t.X, t.Y, t.Z, t.W
    FROM Hidrantes c,
    TABLE(SDO_UTIL.GETVERTICES(c.geometria)) t
    where c.ipid = 4691117
    ORDER BY c.ipid, t.id;
    Result:
    4691117          -75,5860886328133     6,17943526155142          (null) (null)
    As you can see, it only obtains the X,Y values but not the values of the orientation vector, how can I get the values?.

  • How can I get dataTable to display values from the java layer?

    When I use the dataTAble in my JSP page it will only display values from my java layer if the facets tag has it's name set to "header". Why is this happening?
    If I set it to "header" and I look at the page source it actually has created the correct number of rows but it doesn't put the values between the <td> tags? It see's the length of my list but it doesn't pick the values out of the list.

    I've been able to get it working with some of those changes along with changes in the JSP. I think it's a setting or two in the JSP that'll allow the program to run correctly.
    I have a list and it's returned like what you suggested. A day or two ago I tried to move the outputtext outside of the facet tag but nothing would print, I know believe that's related to the following setting in the JSP:
    rows="0" in the <h:dataTAble tag
    Unfortunately the dataTAble isn't displaying the values correctly. It prints all of the values (Strings) in the list on each row and it make a new row for the number of items in the list.......... ???
    Here's what it's printing to the screen (the table):
    ===================
    == [asdasd], [sddfdfd] ==
    ===================
    ===================
    == [asdasd], [sddfdfd]==
    ===================
    what it should print:
    ============
    == [asdasd] ==
    ============
    ============
    == [sddfdfd] ==
    ============
    My code:
    public List gettest()
              List li = new ArrayList();
              li.add("asdasd");
              li.add("affffd");
              return li;
              }JSP
    <h:dataTable border="1" columnClasses="list-column-left"
        headerClass="list-header"
        rowClasses="list-row-odd"
        id="table"
        rows="0"

        var="data">

  • Count of schema based on the value in a column

    I have to write a query to count the number of schema that have the value in a column as '1' in a table For ex
    I have a table called Vendor in all the schemas(schema1 through 50) I have to look for the value in a column(Benefits) if it 1 or 0 . I need to do the count of the number of schema who have the Benefits turned ON (value '1')
    suppose the value in benefits(col) in Vendor (tbl) for schema1 is 0 than donot count that schema
    and if the value in benefits(col) in Vendor (tbl) for schema2 is 1 than count
    do i connect as a system manager? Do I need a Pl/sql table to put the count in it
    anybody please help.
    TX
    KK

    As I understand from 325537 description, the table VENDOR contains only one row and column BENEFITS_TRACKING is either 0 or 1
    In this case the total can be calculated by simply summing the values of all BENEFITS_TRACKING
    In case VENDOR has more than one row you need some grouping function like SUM or COUNT
    I don't unterstand why you loop through dba_users.
    Im quite sure that you won't find a VENDORS table in the SYSTEM schema. The 'execute immediate' will fail with a table not found exception.
    Another problem in your code is, you will get no_data_found exception when benefits_tracking=0 because of your where condition
    (remove the where-condition or use a grouping function as explained above)
    declare
      v_count      pls_integer := 0;
      v_curr_count pls_integer := 0;
    begin
      for rec in (select owner from all_tables where owner like 'SCHEMA%' and table_name='VENDORS') loop
          execute immediate 'select SUM(BENEFITS_TRACKING) from '||rec.owner||'.VENDORS' into v_curr_count;
    --      execute immediate 'select COUNT(BENEFITS_TRACKING) from '||rec.owner||'.VENDORS where BENEFITS_TRACKING=1' into v_curr_count;
    --      execute immediate 'select BENEFITS_TRACKING from '||rec.owner||'.VENDORS' into v_curr_count;
          v_count := v_count + v_curr_count;
      end loop;
      dbms_output.put_line(v_count);
    end;

  • In XML Output the values of Number column tags are not displayed properly

    Hi,
    Our Client have been using AR Invoice Print Program for a long time and it is heavily customized. Also they are using an old version of the RDF. So we have taken the latest version of the RDF (RAXINV.rdf) for Oracle Apps 11.5.10.2 by raising a SR and implement Client's old RAXINV.rdf into it.
    All was ok, but when we are running the program, the XML Output did not generate properly. For the Q_INVOICE query (G_ORDER_BY, G_INVOICE and G_INV_TERM group), the value of some of the scaler number columns are not appeared properly. The tags are coming correctly, but the value is appearing as '*', instead of the correct value. We have checked in the RDF Level (By putting srw.message and check in the log file) that those columns are having proper value. So there is no issue with the RDF.
    But because of the above mentioned problem, the some of the PDF output field values also is not generated correctly.
    I think that because of the lexical parameters which was implementing the Q_INVOICE query (&COMMON_QUERY) this issue is coming. Because the issue is only in the Q_INVOICE query group (G_ORDER_BY, G_INVOICE and in G_INV_TERM group) not in any other query group.
    There is no problem with the scaler character columns. The issue is only with the number columns.
    Also we have checked that if we hardcode the value of the number columns in the above mentioned lexical parameter, this problem doesn't appear.
    If we put TO_CHAR function to those number columns in the lexical parameter (COMMON_QUERY), then this issue get solved. But we can't do it because of performance issue and also Client won't approve it.
    Please help.
    With Thanks and Regards

    I don't know how to read the code you pasted or I would have checked this myself.
    Do your fields in the internal table reference dictionary objects or elementary types? If not using dictionary types, the column names will be blank by default. If you can't change your fields to be dictionary types, you can try this to change the column names:
    I made a method inside my local class to add the names:
            call method set_colname
              EXPORTING iv_tab = alv_tab
                        iv_colid = 'xxxx'  "fieldname from the table
                        iv_stxt = text-t54
                        iv_mtxt = text-t55
                        iv_ltxt = text-t55.
    METHOD set_colname .
      data:
              alv_cols type REF TO cl_salv_columns_table,
              alv_col type REF TO cl_salv_column.
      TRY .
    *... Change fieldnames
            call METHOD iv_tab->get_columns RECEIVING value = alv_cols.
            call method alv_cols->get_column EXPORTING columnname = iv_colid RECEIVING value = alv_col.
            IF iv_stxt <> ''.
              CALL METHOD alv_col->set_short_text EXPORTING value = iv_stxt.
            ENDIF.
            IF iv_mtxt <> ''.
              CALL METHOD alv_col->set_medium_text EXPORTING value = iv_mtxt.
            ENDIF.
            IF iv_ltxt <> ''.
              CALL METHOD alv_col->set_long_text EXPORTING value = iv_ltxt.
            ENDIF.
       CATCH cx_salv_not_found.
      ENDTRY.
    ENDMETHOD. "set_colname

  • Sorting the values in a column in a Web Template Report

    Hi All,
    I have a report build on WAD in which a table is displayed with certain rows and columns and have certain text values in one column and few numeral values in the other few columns. When i right click on the 1st column(having text values) and click on Sort Ascending by Name, the values are sorted in groups.There are other 3 columns next to that column which have text values as well but when i right click on them and try to sort it in some order(ascending by name/descending by name), there are no reorganization of the values in the column. Again, once i go to the other remaining columns having numeral values in it, the values get sorted in ascending/descending order as per the sort selection. Please advise on how i can make the sort possible in the columns in which the rearrangement is not happening. Do i need to change the Query to some settings? Please advise.
    Thanks!
    Subhra Ghosh.

    Subhra,
    In BW reports, the sorting of characteristic values always happens left-to-right. When you choose to sort by columns 2 - 4, you are actually just specifying whether to sort ascending|descending and/or by key or text. This sort happens for each value of the first column, however. Therefore, the sort in column 2 is only noticeable when you have more than one row with the same value in column 1, etc.
    This sorting behavior is different than the Excel type of sorting, which may be your confusion here.
    If you want to sort first by a column other than column 1, you must swap the columns so that the desired characteristic is in column 1.
    Hope this helps...

    hi
    i want to get in the column averages just the average of the values of some columns not all the columns of the table.what i have to change exactly in this block diagram.even if the size of the table is 25,i want the division to be the number of values in each column(= number of rows)

  • K-Bits (1) : Interchange the values of two columns

    Hi Everyone
    I wanted to get started a mechanism of knowledge sharing in the way of a series of threads called “K-Bits” (Knowledge Bits).
    In our day to day work, we learn some new things which can be useful for others. However we hardly get a chance to share it with others.
    Here is the opportunity to share your knowledge in the form of “K-Bits”.
    Here we start with the First Tip of this series.
    You might face a situation where you need to interchange the values of 2 columns in an Oracle database table.
    E.g. there is a table employee having columns EMPID, FIRST_NAME, LAST_NAME and SALARY. By mistake the values of FIRST_NAME and LAST_NAME have been interchanged. Now you need to bring the data in correct state.
    You can think about following few options:
    Option-1_
    1.     Alter table employee and add a new column TEMP_NAME to it.
    2.     Update the values of LAST_NAME to TEMP_NAME.
    3.     Update the LAST_NAME with the values of FIRST_NAME.
    4.     Update the FIRST_NAME with the values of TEMP_NAME.
    5.     Drop the column TEMP_NAME.
    Option-2 (For Oracle version 9i or higher)_
    1.     Alter table employee and rename LAST_NAME column to TEMP_NAME.
    2.     Alter table employee and rename column FIRST_NAME to LAST_NAME.
    3.     Alter table employee and rename column TEMP_NAME to FIRST_NAME.
    Probably you can go ahead with any other solution as well. However there is one very simple solution.
    Option-3_
    Let do it by example:
    DROP TABLE EMPLOYEE;
    CREATE TBALE EMPLOYEE
       EMPID             NUMBER
      ,FIRST_NAME        VARCHAR2(30)
      ,LAST_NAME         VARCHAR2(30)
      ,SALARY            NUMBER
    INSERT INTO EMPLOYEE VALUES (1,'Tendulkar','Sachin', 10000);
    INSERT INTO EMPLOYEE VALUES (1,'Ganguli','Saurabh', 10000);
    INSERT INTO EMPLOYEE VALUES (1,'Pathan','Irfan', 10000);
    INSERT INTO EMPLOYEE VALUES (1,'Khan','Jaheer', 10000);
    INSERT INTO EMPLOYEE VALUES (1,'Agarkar','Ajit', 10000);
    INSERT INTO EMPLOYEE VALUES (1,'Dravid','Rahul', 10000);
    SELECT *
      FROM EMPLOYEE;
    UPDATE EMPLOYEE
       SET FIRST_NAME = LAST_NAME
          ,LAST_NAME  = FIRST_NAME;
    SELECT *
      FROM EMPLOYEE;  The update statement above solves the purpose. Is not it simple? But how does it work??
    For any DML (Insert, Update or Delete) oracle internally fires the row level triggers. You can read more about triggers at
    http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10501_01/server.920/a96524/c18trigs.htm
    and
    http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10501_01/appdev.920/a96590/adg13trg.htm#431
    As you know in row level triggers the values of each column is stored in :OLD and :NEW parameters. For the above UPDATE statement oracle stores the old values of FIRAT_NAME and LAST_NAME in :OLD.FIRST_NAME and :OLD.LAST_NAME parameters respectively and then update FIRST_NAME with :OLD.LAST_NAME and LAST_NAME with :OLD.FIRST_NAME.
