Getting stats on a selection of songs
Is there a way to get information (total playing time, memory used) on a selection of songs? Alternately, can I get the same information on only the checkmarked songs in the library or any given playlist?

There is a script to get total play counts for a selection of tracks, another one that will give you the time of the selected tracks, and one to give you the space used and time of selected tracks all on Doug's AppleScripts for iTunes. There may be other scripts as well.

ThanksIt would help to have more background about your iTunes collection such as if you keep it on an external drive, or if you have moved or renamed anything recently. iTunes is very sensitive to you renaming or moving files or folders involved with your media. iTunes only keeps a reference to where a media file is located and then goes to look for it when you try to play it. If you have changed things since it was added to itunes then it's like me sending you to look for a friend in my addressbook but that friend has moved.
The other possibility is your computer is starting to lose files. Again, the computer uses a reference database to tell it where on the drive to look for a file. If that database gets corrupt then it starts losing files. Use Dsk Utility's first aid to verify your hard drive. -
I have more itunes music than iphone memory so it won't let me sync my iphone 4 (ios 5.0.1). how do i get it to select random songs to fit the memory i have? I've done this before but can't replicate

Getting result of dynamic select statement into variable
I have a function that builds a dynamic sql statement. I then want to take the result of that statement and insert it into a variable. I have tried this
execute immediate strSQL USING OUT intCounter;but that is giving me an error on that line of code. The SQL is a select count(*) and works fine. It is just how to get it into the variable that is tripping me up.

Class not getting called by the Select Statement
Dear All,
I have created a new class "Z1_EXIT_VARIABLES" in my Dev system and coded for a new Exit Variable for InfoObject "0FISCPER3" in this class.
But on debugging the Function module "EXIT_SAPLRRS0_001" (INCLUDE ZXRSRU01), I could find that the Select statement

calls ALL the classes mentioned in the table "VSEOIMPLEM" with REFCLSNAME = ZBWIF_VAR_EXIT, EXCEPT the class "Z1_EXIT_VARIABLES". Therefore, the code written by me is not getting executed.
Also, after debugging the same function module in Quality system, I could find that not all of the classes mentioned in the table "VSEOIMPLEM"are getting called by the select statement.
(I do not have authorization for CMOD in my Dev system)
Can anyone suggest a possible solution to the problem ?

The issue is not with finding control and performing action on it.
The coded UI automation script is able to find the control and performing click on that, and after that is is supposed to display the results, which is not happening.
I am not able to find out why the results are not displaying with coded UI but it's working as expected with SELENIUM web driver.
I have to do it with CODED UI VS2013, So i request you to give me some solution for this issue, I have done automation earlier for some similar web applications, but never faced this situation.

ESS F4 Value Help to get States for selected country.
Hi,
I am a Web Dynpro Java developer working on ESS Self Service application. I have a requirement to display additional State and Country fields in Family/Dependent screen.
I have displayed the State and Country fields by mapping the UI elements to SelectedInfoTypes node attributes -Land1 and State. And now I having problem to get a list of States based on the value selected in the Country field.
I remembered I used to call a RFC in non-ESS application by passing in the Country value to a GetStates RFC. But in ESS self service application, do we have a RFC I can call to get the list of States based on selected countries?
I was looking at the sap.xss.per.helpers.F4TextHelper helper class, to see if the GetF4Text (IWDViewController controller, IWDNode selectedInfotype,IWDView view,TextFieldInfo[] fieldInfo) method can achieve my purpose. So far, I have no luck on this.
Is there a method call/way I can use in FPM to achieve this?
Can someone share your idea if you have done this before or know how to implement this?

Whenever I open my music and select a song, my iphone immediately scrolls through other songs rapidly and then I get a pop up saying "the requested url cannot be served" and I can never listen to music

New iTunes on Mac doesn't allow me anymore to select all songs and 'Get info' to adjust the volume, like the old one. It says"your selection contains more than one type of media". They are all songs! Help please!

If your Import Settings are for Apple Lossless, AIFF, AAC or whatever the majority of your files are, convert MP3s to that file type.
I've presently got 17,000+ files in my library, and they're ALL MP3 or M4B(Audiobooks). If they weren't when I got them, I converted them. Saves a LOT of hassels with just this type of situation. Besides I have two non Apple MP3 players that WON'T work with other file types besides MP3 so, EVERYTHING I have has to be MP3. -
I have transferred my music to a new computer following the instructions carefully but for whatever reason the music does not show on iTunes on the new computer. The music is there as I can access it via My Computer and if I select a song it will show in iTunes and play - however I can not do this for every single track! Can anyone suggest something I have done wrong????
Media was moved via external hard disk, and I think I moved the iTunes Media folder after consolidating it.

I believe I almost got it to compilw, however I am getting Error(29,19): PL/SQL: ORA-00918: column ambiguously defined.
Of course CASE_TYPE_CODE is ambiguously because its passed in, is there a way around this.

How do I select multiple songs and uncheck them from compilations (itunes 10.5.2)
So I found to my annoinance that itunes has recently moved much of my music to compilations that shouldn't be there. I tried searching online for how to turn compilations off or select multiple songs and uncheck them from compilations all at once and although I found both answers, they must have only worked for older versions of itunes. I no longer can find the option to turn off compilations under preferences and when I try to select multiple songs at a time then press "Get Info" the "part of a compilation" checkmark is not there. It is only there when one song is highlighted. This is very frustrated. In fact I would venture to say I've never been so angry with Apple. There are 609 songs "stuck" in my freaking compilations! I don't have time nor should I have to take the time to go through every single song right clicking it, pressing "Get info", unchecking "part of compilation" then clicking ok. WAY TOO MUCH TIME! If anyone has any good news on a faster way to do this I'd be VERY THANKFUL!
This was a life saver! I even started to manually tick the box as well!

Deleted iPod Selection--all songs on iPod disappeared--help!
I had too many songs in my library to fit on my iPod, so my iPod created a selection of songs. Then I added and deleted many songs to the library.
However, when I plugged in my iPod so it would be updated from the revised iTunes library, nothing would happen. So I deleted the iPod selection, thinking iTunes would automatically create a new one based on the revised library. Wrong. I got the message "Songs on your iPod cannot be updated because all of the playlists no longer exist." Uh oh.
Deleting the iPod selection wiped out my iPod, but all the songs are still in my library. How do I get all the music in my iTunes library back onto my iPod? Recently bought a new computer and all my music appears in iTunes as well as on my computer in a saved folder. When I try to play the music in iTunes I get an error that reads"the song could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?" ShellybooThis happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout, or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes .

Assuming you bought the song at the iTunes Store, you can go here

and follow one of the "paths" to get what you need or to an Apple customer support employee. One path is to click Contact Support at the bottom of the list of choices, and use the Express Lane.
The iTunes app also has a way to report a problem with a purchase. Select iTunes Store in the sidebar (of the iTunes window). Toward the upper right corner, click on your Apple ID. This gets you to your Account Information screen. Find Purchase History and click See All. On that screen, you can select a specific purchase with that problem, and Report a Problem.

GET statement and internal table

I use the GET statement and I want to use some older code segments.
I read somewhere that I can use the result of GET like an internal table.
So I tried to get the content of bsid into my internal table it_bsid. But that doesn't seem to work.
Do you have any advice in this?
I wanted to do the following:
TABLES:
KNA1,
BSID,
BKPF.
DATA:
it_bsid TYPE TABLE OF bsid WITH HEADER LINE,
is_bsid LIKE LINE OF it_bsid,
GET bsid.
LOOP AT bsid.
APPEND it_bsid.
ENDLOOP.
-or-
GET bsid.
LOOP AT bsid INTO is_bsid.
APPEND is_bsid TO it_bsid.
ENDLOOP.
But in both cases I get an error.
' "VERSION ... ." expected after "BSID" '
Do you know what is the reason for that?

first you have to assign a logical database which has BSID to your program (in program attributes).
Then GET is the event triggered by the next BSID record according to your selection. You can not LOOP here but you may append to an internal table. This table may be processed using LOOP in the END-OF-SELECTION event.
Read some documentation about LDB [Logical Databases|http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_01/helpdata/en/f0/ca4584260211d28a430000e829fbbd/content.htm] - it may help to understand the concept of this obsolete technique.
