Getting the result from a field in a different class...

Question

Right okay, here's the problem. When ever I compile and run the program, it gives me null.
public void destError()
          Journey journ = new Journey();
          if (h.equalsIgnoreCase("Scotland"))
               System.out.println(journ.scotlandt);
               //System.out.println("Start time: " + journ.jd1 + "     Destination: " + journ.scotland + "      End time: " + journ.ja1);jd1 and ja2 and float values in the Journey class and scotland is a string. The float values return 0.0 and the string returns null.
I've created an instance of the Journey class and used the prefix journ but I don't understand why it isn't working...
